I use live hold'em poker with android in my hd2 without any lag or issues.
Iam very surprise you have an HD2 and want to revert back to wm6.5, which by the way is the worst OS for the hd2.
Android has come a long way in development with HD2.

Thats realy the unqualified statement I ever read. They are two different OS whereby everyone has its advantages and also disadvantages. For games and apps clearly Android is the better one. But for modding and in business the advantage is clear at WM.

yeah which one do u use? i mean wich android os.
and yeah i like the basic wm 6.5 and i seriously HATE the energy rom

any business you want to do with winrom you can do better with Android.
yes they do have advantages and disadvantages but theirs a reason why mostly all of hd2 owners are switching to android. windows is way behind android in apps and development. Numbers don't lie. but hey by all means go ahead and stay with your win6.5...

the question is do you still want winrom?
if yes then you need to go the SD route. <- keeps windows
If no then you need to go NAND route. <- no more windows
im using HD2one NAND with no issues at all
just download the build package and follow directions.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=898067

what sd and nand?
and i only want no wm if i getting much better **** for back

Be cool bro, was no attack to you only my opinion and be sure I've read enough about android. So I think e.g. my clients are not realy pleased to hear that I give google all my contact data only why I install any app.
I'll never say it didn't run smooth or anything else.
And hey, we can be glad that all of us have different flavors, or not?
Nice evening,

true that

actually I think (in my opinion) wm is better than android
I almost tried all android builds (nand & sd),android is really smooth, eye candy, easy to use os ,but it has some disadvantages that made me downgrade to wm:
1.battery life sucks, android and especially froyo can dry the battery juice in less than 12 hours and somtimes less, and battery life is one of the most important thing
in any phone, android power management still needs so many improvements
2.I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed that, but android doesn't really
have a good task manager,e.g:if I open the internet browser it won't exit until I do a soft reset, and there's several apps that don't exit,so by this way we use more ram which leads us to more battery draining
but I really like android and it's an amazing OS and I think every hd2 owner should try android,it's really cool and may keep it
we have different tastes

----------THIS IS A STOCK ROM WITH ALL THE CRAP REMOVED, A BUNCH OF REG EDITS THAT YOU WOULD NORMALLY DO WITH KAISER_TWEAK OR ADVANCED_CONFIGURATION...
----------IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE APPS I HAVE INSTALL DURING CUSTOMIZATION YOU CAN DELETE THEM USING THE WINDOWS MOBILE APPLICATION MANAGER...
Hey boys and girls,
I have been working for a few days on this ROM for you all. Well its more built for my buddy Kavi, but I thought i would share with you fun people Its based off the HTC OEM release 5.2.19212 and has MANY MANY bug fixes!
I'll start with the list of installed apps at first run, remember these apps CAN be uninstalled thats why I have them run at customization!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Not in Install Order)
- Pocket_RAR
- Opera Beta
- VisualGPS
- New Task Manager
- Adobe PDF 2.5 (From Diamond)
- BeeJive IM
- Random Access
- Advanced Config (shaps)
- Diamond calculator skin (Blue and Black looks really cool!)
- Google Maps (New build from Xperia)
- HTC_Album
- Start_Clean
- T-GPS (really interesting GPS app, Not sure how it works since I haven't played with it much but many have given it great reviews)
- Total Commander 2.5
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*All .EXE's have been compressed and optimized to save every last byte of space
*ClearType is fixed using the 3.10.00.00 DDI.dll
*All Diamond RingTones
*All Extra crap removed (Windows Live **** is gone, CyberTron Speed Dial, Network Configuration, SIM Manager, Sample Pictures and crap)
*New GPS drivers (Well they are the drivers from WM6.0 when the GPS worked great, I also did some work on the .dll's for better GPS performance. You won't find these drivers any place but in my roms, Well until someone rips them out and calls them there own)
*TONS or REG tweaks
*MMS 5.31
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PAGEPOOL - Dynamic (helps with memory leaks)
Screen Shots? No it looks just like every other stock ROM released from HTC But I have included lots of different .tsk files for you! Also a nice looking .tsk is installed at startup!

Once again testing is needed as I can't recreate all the setups that you all might have. BUT it should be pretty damn bug free as all my roms are~
*** The ClearType issue is fixed at the cost of Opera Beta not working (Not Opera Mini) HOWEVER I will make a new ROM later that includes the new DDI.dll and a updated version of Schaps Advanced Configuration app that will let you change back and forth between the old DDI.dll and the new DDI.dll to get Opera Beta working if there is a demand for it. Honestly I don't like Opera Beta since its slow to load pages unless on WiFi and well its still in Beta and doesn't have flash like the new version of SkyFire does. So if you would like me to make a new ROM then post a comment and like I said if a few would like me to make a new ROM I will ***

Can we see some screenshots of this ROM in action from anyone that has used it at all? I have just been playing around with some roms, and re-decided to stick with Laurentius26's V9 rom for now, unless this one proves better.
I am in the UK on orange. Does this ROM inc a radio or is it OS only?
Thanks again

Austin thanks for the release. I will be testing the GPS today (whole day )like I always do.
@ People who have GPS cold lock problems with WinMo 6.1
For the last two weeks we have been testing different GPS drivers and finally found a way to get cold lock times under 1 minute consistently by using WinMo 6.0 drivers.
If you have cold lock issues give this ROM a shot. Really would like to hear whether it fixes the cold lock problem in your device.
BTW: I don't think Austin meant "dumb asses" in a bad way

i found so much software (and dont even have a ppc yet) to get the best
out of wm. thats really amazing. so what can a custom rom do, what a
third-party software couldn´t?
the one thing i could imagine right now: i like the possibility to change the
look of my device with things like "spb mobile shell". but i would rather like
to change the wm-gui itself. take away what i dont need, instead of adding
more stuff to the os (thats why i still use winXP with the old 2000-shell).

to get the latest and the best
HTC takes so much of time releasing the official updates
so if you want the latest you have to depend on custom ROMs
and you can even get stuff which is not meant for your phone
like touch flo,manila interface etc

i thought touch flo is ment for my phone (it comes with it). and i thought
manila is just like a "codename" for touchflo!?
anyway... so if there is a bug or something like that and htc takes month
to release updates, the xda-devs come and create their own roms.. or if
someone would find out that the hd actually has everything hardware-
related whats needed for tv-out, he could make a rom that supports that?
and a rom is always specific to one model of a device?!? you cant use a
kayser*-rom for eg a diamond, can you?
where can i find a list of all availiable rom´s (especially for blackstone and
raphael).
thank you!!

Well for example by removing things from a rom you don't use, you can make your phone faster or have more memory.
Sometimes program such as manilla run better or faster when they are built into a rom.
Flashing a new rom means that if you hard reset, you will reset back to the rom you flash.
You can put new program and or drivers stripped from another phone (omnia, opal, ect) (this would be useful beacuse they may be newer and more improved)
Its all a matter of opinion on what you want to do with your phone, if you need help with something you are trying to get you need to giver us an example so that we can give you an example of pluses and draw backs. (there are alot of things it does and its hard to just list them)
well, thank u very much. i think i get it now. somehow like n-lite for desktop windows. but still it would be nice to have a list in the wiki with all roms, their compatibilites and main features...

I think the variations between ROM's are overrated. To me they are pretty much the same unless you are crazy about details.
1) Sometimes your phone comes with bloatware, software that comes pre-installed on your phone. Depending on who you are you would think that this bloatware is annoying crap. You might want to get rid of it forever.
2) You see...even if you uninstall these bloatware, the installation files (.cabs) can still be found or stored in your phone's internal memory (the ROM). This takes up alot of space in your phone because you are not allowed to delete these files or cabs from your phone. See...this is still an issue because most phones have internal memories smaller than 400 megabytes and internal storage get's used up quickly.
3) It is best to install programs in the internal memory (the ROM) because the software will not be very buggy. I have installed software on my storage card before, and I tell you this: I advise you not to. Basically, if you are a user who installs dozens and dozens of applications on your phone than you should flash (install) a ROM that has little or no bloatware.
4) Some ROMs not only include bloatware, but they include demo music files and demo video files. If these files are stamped into your ROM's memory, then you do not have permission to delete this crap. Therefore you need to flash a different ROM that has as little filler as possible
5) Some ROM's contain software that was never included with your phone: for example... Touch Flo 3D ... Touch Wiz (not ported yet) ... or Windows Mobile 6.5 Software/Plugins
If you crave for Touch Flo 3D, then flash it. If you crave for Touch Flo 3D without a lot of bloatware from the developer, then you have to look for it. If you crave for a Touch Flo 3G with a lot of applications (that you consider beneficial instead of bloatware) then get it.

Seems kinda like a waste of effort. The 2.2 AOSP just came out and we've already got 2 roms that work, albeit very early and limited ones.
It's only a matter of time before a proper 2.2 rom comes out and developers with talent should focus on getting 2.2 out there rather than trying to optimize 2.1 to run flash
would a attempt for this on dount be possible? the speed on that with out old g1's with flash would be great
At this point, it's definitely easier to just port Froyo. And that's already in progress anyway.
Sent from my Nexus One
Try the skyfire browser. It loads up flash videos and tranlates it to something our g1's can read. As far as I understand it, the flash player on the nexus has tons of hardware specific stuff that stop it from working on other builds (processor, screen size, etc). Besides, skyfire loads up futurama episodes perfectly=p

That's Great.
You're not going to make flash 10 work on an arm7 device because it's compiled for arm8.
What you could try is pulling the flashlite plugin from a hero build (made for msm7k) and try to get it plugged to the new browser, since it accepts plugins.
There's coding required, though, and I've no idea about browser plugins.
I don't think this is a good idea for a number of reasons. Processing power, lack of ram, lack of storage space, small screen, etc...

Yes, I completely agree. If you simply want flash so much just buy the damn phone, you have to take in consideration what our devices are capable of. You can only push it to some point, until it goes poof. Just please, enough with the whole flash topic it's giving me a headache.

Sounds great for the possibility of porting flash 10 to g1 theoretically... thought this wasnt possible. Could you go to http://www.whatismyflash.com/ with the browser to check if its using the flash 10 and not the flash lite built in in kings legend2g1 rom? :> thanks in advance

I've always wondered, are half of you stuck in some black hole with no PCs with nothing to do but watch videos all day? If you want your phone to be a laptop... go buy a damn laptop! You can get a very nice one for the same price as a Nexus One. Sheesh.

Every device has an OS, the only thing differentiating them is their UI. so the answer is No but your wish isn't stupid at all, and this might come true.
you will need an OS even for android auto to run.
but, with the custom rom installed, you can defrost/ delete unwanted apps. run the ROM, with minimum apps possible/needed that won't hang/lag the device. slim/Aosp ROM should be ideal for it.

I'm not sure if i can but i have some knowledge about programming and you just gave me an excellent idea to try to change the UI on CROM but that is imposible too, right? ??
with android and open source projects, impossible just doesn't fit here. Android is highly customizable. so, a developer, programmer/themer, can help in this.
changes/additional commands can be inserted at the boot. possibilities are unlimited, depends how far you let your imaginations wander.
Heh. I want to try to do something on my own when I'll have enough free time i'll try to get down the UI and to play with boot properties. I don't wana te brick my tab so I'll do on emulator on PC Ty for encouraging )
If I'll get some things that work I'll PM you.
Cheers

You're always welcome, but it would be better that you post here instead of PM me, others could also Help/learn.
Maybe someone more knowledgeable than a mere motivator like me. I could barely keep up with the ever fast Pace updates with Android, earlier ones used to be a bit easier for me.
And yes whatever you do, always be dead sure when it comes to making changes at boot. you should know exactly What you're doing and how to recover as well. Take your time and double check. If confused, feel free to use the platform as well.
keep it safe and don't get it bricked, although boot loops and messed up UI while experimenting is common, I have lot of that in experience, lol
Cheers
