Hello Friends,
I just bought new Veiwsonic G-Tablet. The main reason I bought a tablet was to watch videos on it. But I was very disappointed to know that I cannot run any youtube video on it as their is no flash player installed on it. I search on web to get flash player, but could not find it. This tablet even don't have access to Andriod Market. That is my another problem.
Do any knows where I can find Adobe Flash player for my Tablet?
Thanks in advance.
Rohan
Better to find market There's a Viewsonic forum on modaco (not an ad)

can you send me link to that forum? When I checked I could see only forums for Viewsone Viewpad. I am looking for Viewsonic Gtablet. Thanks

Running cyanogen 7 by Rothnic, which I love by the way, on my G tablet.
I prefer a full web browser instead of the mobile but, when I switch to different user agents (IE6, Linux) the flash player doesn't work for websites. Any help would be appreciated.
Can't post directly to developer forums as I have never posted before
Dont forget to install Adobe flash player from the market and it might be an issue with the rom you are using if still doesnt work. Ask the developer because Flash on my Web Browser is working fine on CM7 Droid 1.
Hey, i heard that there was a new honeycomb rom going around the web for the nook color. It is said to be a preview of the real honeycomb, but i wanted to make sure if it wasn´t usefull for us??. This because i see developers like cyanogen mod and vegan going to gingerbread when honeycomb is already around.
Anyone knew this?
Havent seen any update from our beloved developers and i think it is because gingerbread. Wouldnt it be better to start working on honeycomb(tablet specialized software) instead??
Is this rom real(really a honeycomb rom), or is it just an adaptation?
Any ideas?
Here is the official link. XD
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=936995
is it possible to install it from clockward mod??, i want to install it just for fun and see what happens.
That ROM was built from a preview SDK. When the Xoom hits the market the developers will finally have something fully baked to work with. Trust me, these developers are looking to the future and preparing for Honeycomb, but they're waiting for an official ROM to work off of.

And as to your question about whether or not this particular ROM will run on your G Tab... definitely not.

A week ago I got a gTablet from eBay and I've been very happy playing with it every day. The main reason to get this tablet was the possibility to get Honeycomb working on the device.
Now I'm ready to go forward and install a Honeycomb rom on it, but there are some issues that I can't resolve.
The first thing is the tablet came already rooted with VEGAn-TAB. Due to the fact that I have to check the bootloader version, I followed the well known instructions to do that, that is, go to Settings > About tablet > Tapu UI Version. The first problem I run into was that I don't have Settings > About tablet, I have Settings > About phone. When I tap on that option, I don't get Tapu UI Version. This is what I get:
Model number: VEGAn-TAB
Android version: 2.3.3
Baseband version: Unknown
Kernel version: 2.6.32.36-cyanogenmod root at pershoot-ubuntu #1
CPU info: ARMv7 Processor rev o (v7l)
Mod version: VEGAn-7.0.0-RC1-Harmony
Build number: GRI40
Can I infere the bootloader version from this info?
The second thing is I have to decide wich rom can I install after getting the bootloader version.
And the last issue is what is the recommended procedure to install the selected rom given the current configuration of my tablet?
I've read several guides, lots of forum posts, and I've made a great deal of searches but haven't had any luck, so I decided to post this in the hope that someone of the great devs here can help me with my task.
Any help will be very apreciated.
Doesn't matter. Honeycomb has a different structure than everything else. You need to perform code red on my website to install honeycomb. Click in signature.

That looks like vegan tab ginger edition.
Should be 1.1 BL
You should be able to drop this Honeycomb rom on it... Get the 1.1BL version. It works well. I moved from VeganTab Ginger to this just fine

I am waiting for an update as I lost bluetooth after updating to Beta 3.1. Very snappy. Which ROM are you using?
I installed yesterday. But I can not see any videos (sound only, flash 10.3 plugin). Does anybody know why?

I'm loving this Honeycomb ROM; there's no chance I'll be switching back.
Erm, on a side question, which HC rom are you using?
Is it Bottle of Smoke Honeycomb? Or gTab comb ? Honeycomb illuminate. I am now using a CM7 harmony and no idea which HC is better. I don't need bluetooth or camera, but I sure want a good stable HC

+1 for GtabComb
If your not on it, get on it. If you are and cant get flash to work then do this. Make sure adobe flash 10.3 is installed in market, then download and install Opera MOBILE browser. Flash will then work

Well, I still can't get Flash to work for everything (Flash games such as Cityville, Dungeon Overlord, CivWorld, etc).

I'm using GtabComb 3.1, you can find the link in schettj's post in the begining of this thread.
Upgrade to 3.2
A day after I flashed GtabComb beta 3.1 on my gTab, zyhong posted a new rom, beta 3.2. I would like to upgrade to this version, without having to reinstall all the apps I already have now. Any advice on how to do it? I'm planning to use Titanium Backup but I don't know what to backup (should I backup just user apps or user apps + system data)
As always, any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks dman918, indeed there is a post about it in the gtabcomb thread. I just copied the zip file to the gtab, went to recovery mod, flashed the zip and cleared dalvik cache. After reboot, I found everything in its place.
Glad I could help! Also good to know for when the next release comes out.
Good day all, I have a problem, not ever having an android device or having anything to do with android before. I have purchased a Archos 70b ereader for a Xmas present for my partner. Now I have done a little research and have found that this device comes with android 2.1 eclair I believe. I was hoping for some advice on weather this device can be rooted and a new rom installed? I have seen that there is a app called z4 root and an app called rom manager that look fairly simple to use. If I was to get z4 root and rom manager and use z4 root to root the device first could I then install any rom via rom manager that I wanted on this device or would I be restricted alot due to the type of android Device this was. Also I have looked into roms briefly and I like the look of cyanogen 7 and MIUI could the archos 70b run these. If someone could give a list of roms that could be installed and used well on this device that would be amazing.
Thanks in advance for any help and advice.
James.
bump......................

Archos70b will not be supported.

Hey guys,
I don't know if anyone has looked more closer into this, but for all who did not:
Your choice of ROM is very limited because of the distinct hardware and few developers.
The bq Voltaire has got mostly the same hardware, so their firmware seems to work.
I've flashed a pre-rooted bq Voltaire Android 2.2 Froyo Rom on my 70b ereader and it works like a charm with no restrictions and even the regular market works!
The link to the rom I used:
http://www.mediafire.com/?3vndcu7wzd8wu1z
It's 2.2.1 with Kernel 2.6.25 [email protected] #28
Build-numer froyo1.00 MASTER.eng.root.20110908.110852-jefi
I got it on a german forum (on page 2 and 13, page 1 is the eclair rom)
http://www.androidpit.de/de/android...irmware-Root-fuer-Archos-70b-oder-bq-Voltaire
For flashing, you can either use the guideline on the german forum or if you don't understand, there was an english version posted on xda some time ago:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14422370&postcount=4
(I don't take any responsibility if you brick or otherwise damage your device! I can just say that for me it worked perfectly :3 )
There is also some info here, but is on Spanish

sorry for the lnk

Did you try this with the Stock ROM? Did it work there?
I did not get Flash Player working on the stock version, but it will work with SuperOSR! So if that version works with the Stock ROM it will still be a big help no mather which version it is.

Awesome!
Fantastic!!! Works perfectly on Optimus V running IHO froyo rom.
Thank you very much!!!
thanks
I'm searching for this. thanks!:good:
Any way to adjust settings?
https://settings.adobe.com/flashplayer/mobile/ does not display properly in Dolphin ...
Cannot make adjustments, except in embedded YouTube videos. At first, video was very laggy, but after changing to 240p the frame rate was much better. Since the ChaCha is such a low end device (mostly in RAM and internal memory) this is to be expected. I would imagine the same would be true for HTML5, like in U-Stream app. High res video, or even 480p, is too much for it to handle properly. If I can set the Adobe Flash 11 modified for Arm6 to the lowest resolution by default, other web page videos should start to have a decent frame rate too.
thx
cool. thanks !
I'm searching for this. thanks! any update news?
