[Q] No flash with Cyanogenmod 7 web browser - General Questions and Answers

Running cyanogen 7 by Rothnic, which I love by the way, on my G tablet.
I prefer a full web browser instead of the mobile but, when I switch to different user agents (IE6, Linux) the flash player doesn't work for websites. Any help would be appreciated.
Can't post directly to developer forums as I have never posted before

Dont forget to install Adobe flash player from the market and it might be an issue with the rom you are using if still doesnt work. Ask the developer because Flash on my Web Browser is working fine on CM7 Droid 1.

Adobe Flash Player for Viewsonic G-Tablet

Hello Friends,
I just bought new Veiwsonic G-Tablet. The main reason I bought a tablet was to watch videos on it. But I was very disappointed to know that I cannot run any youtube video on it as their is no flash player installed on it. I search on web to get flash player, but could not find it. This tablet even don't have access to Andriod Market. That is my another problem.
Do any knows where I can find Adobe Flash player for my Tablet?
Thanks in advance.

Better to find market There's a Viewsonic forum on modaco (not an ad)
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
can you send me link to that forum? When I checked I could see only forums for Viewsone Viewpad. I am looking for Viewsonic Gtablet. Thanks

[Q] Anyone have Android Web Market working?

Does anyone have Android Web Market working for them? Does anyone know if the the issues involve the Market App or custom ROMs, etc, or is the problem all on Google's side?
My device used to not appear on the site, but when it did (and up to now), it says I haven't opened Market on it recently so I can't select it when trying to install an app.
I use a Roto ROM on my ATT Tab and haven't had a single issue installing apps from the web market.
It is known that android web market is not working on most custom roms. I have the same issue on a HD2.
Roto rom is not a custom rom. It's the "official" without the signed bootloader, that's why it's working. I am also on a roto rom on my tab.
Modaco Custom Rom (latest beta, not r1) - works great ( also works on my Acer Liquid with CM7).. So, that's not problem of custom ROMs
Guess so.
I'm on MoDaCo latest beta too -- not r1, and Web Market never go to work for me. I try everyday.
Anyone know what's causing the issue?
It works fine for me on Roto's JMI v2

[Q] Can I tether to my Droid X?

I wireless tether to my laptop all the time, but the reason I ask if this can be tethered is because I have tried tethering another android cellphone to my wifi connection with no luck (bored, not out of necessity)
I am banking on this and want to make sure it is a possibility.
Thanks
If you install a custom rom from here they all include "ad-hoc" which will allow you to tether to your DX
"If" lol, first order of business tonight, just purchased online for in store pickup
I would never suggest that someone would install a custon rom only that they may install a custom rom
The stock entrenchment pack in in the development forum well add ad hoc support to the stock os plus all the gapps stuff if you want to stay stock.

Droid X can also support infrastructure mode (as opposed to ad-hoc).
I think the built in hotspot app (Pay to Play) supports this.
Also, if you are rooted, WiFi tethering for Root (market) support AP mode in the latest version(s) (2.7) or 3.0

[Q] ICS AOKP flash player

I have a droid 3 and am running AOKP solana build 27. I've searched everywhere and couldn't find an answer to my question. I have flash 11.1 installed but in browser flash does not work. Youtube.com doesn't even work. Does this rom support it or does ICS require HW acceleration for flash to function properly?
Same exact boat
I'm right there with you. I would love to have some input /an answer to this. I love ics and the Solana Rom but no flash is getting to me a little.

[Q] Very Old Newbie Help

Hi
I'm not very old... but I am old lolm but also, Ive had the TF101 since just after launch and for most of that time it has sat gathering disk only being used when visiting friends as internet access rather than use their computers, I tend to use my phone or a 7" tablet but I want to take it abroad and also upgrade the o/s from 4.1.1 and also run xbmc... or Kodi , the last upgrade was the Cyanogen mod, but when ive charged it today its really slow and I think it may be best to just do a complete wipe and update.
Can anyone give me any ideas on whats best, i'll only be using it for web browsing and media (xbmc) .. is it still up to the job?
Thanks
I suggest you update to the latest TWRP recovery by sidneyk first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2434422
There are two actively developed kitkat ROMs for TF101: Unofficial OmniROM by sidneyk and KatKiss by timduru. I personally use KatKiss and it's buttery smooth, but I haven't tried OmniROM so I can't really compare the two. You could try both and decide for yourself which suits you best.
OmniROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2584265
KatKiss: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2592890
I have run both. I am currently on Omni. It runs smoother on my tf101 than KatKiss. I also have no need for features like multiwindow.
Both are great options!
I prefer TWRP over any other recovery I have tried.
