I just noticed that I have a dead pixel in the middle of my screen. When the screen is showing dark colors I have a bright spot showing... I haven't even had this a week yet. I'm gonna flash back to stock and see if staples has another in stock before black Friday hits.
How exactly do I get rid of clockworkmod and get the original recovery?

Hi, I received a new Fuze from AT&T two days ago and I have noticed a small, subtle, yellowish dot on the upper left hand corner of the screen. It is barely noticeable unless I am in an app with a white or grey background. I don't particularly mind this blemish, I am just wondering if any of you guys think it can/will worsen? Should i send it back to AT&T now? Should i wait and see if it gets worse at all? Or should I just leave it to luck and deal with it the way it is, it doesn't really effect the phones performance or display that much at all. All opinions welcome, thanks.
it's called a stuck / dead pixel
1 pixel == 3 sub pixels 1 red 1 green 1 blue as in rgb
each one can die in 2 ways
on stuck or off stuck
most lcd panels really got some pixel errors if one really check up on it
there are programs which can excise pixels and temp make stuck pixels work again but
sooner or later they get stuck again if one can live with it depend on how anal one is about noticing such things
It doesn't appear to be one pixel, it almost looks like its an image of the sun. Brighter in the middle and fades out at the edges, in the shape of a circle. I'd put it at about .25 inches in diameter. As long as it doesn't get worse I really don't care.
I have got 5 "suns" on my Touch PRO and one green pixel I can see it well on black picture.
Yes it is not so nice but phone is going well with it so i don't do anything with it
But when you have got a new phone, i will send it back
Hm, well as long as no one sees the problem getting worse I really don't mind at all.
I don't think it would be worth the hassle with AT&T over something so minuscule.
I have had this situation since i started booting into any type of recoveries since this phone was 1st rooted and was wondering if anyone has had this problem which i still do and am wondering if it is some type of pixel problem probably and should i send it in to get fixed before it gets worse, or is it nothing. When i boot my phone into recovery mode, No matter what splash screen i use, on the top right side of the screen going almost 1/4th down the side of the screen about exactly this wide ------> lllll <------- the size of all these l's i just made put together. If i use a white splash screen that comes up before it boots into recovery, i get that line in a solid very bright high contrast white color that can be seen it is a brighter white than the white splash screens white color, and on black it is the same. Any ideas or anyone else that has noticed this?
IMO it's best you ask all your questions in one thread seeing as you have a lot of them.
I had this too... It's no big deal I think
Sent from outer space 3000 years in the future (with my now extremely outdated, but still freaking awesome, HTC Sensation Z710e)
hey guys, I've had my phone since launch but just noticed a screen problem. I initially did a dead pixel test when I got the phone but what I missed is that there is a row of off pixels whenever I am on a dark screen. I guess I never noticed it before because my screen doesn't generally have such dark colors on it. Basically on a black screen there is a line and a few dots that are darker than the rest of the screen.
has anyone had these problems before? will Vzw be willing to replace my phone under the manufacturers warranty? thanks guys, love the community

This is a common issue. (should search the forums next time)
You should be able to get VZW to replace your phone, but the chance of getting a phone that is just as bad, if not worse is very likely. Honestly, you shoul do as I have and just deal with it. You very RARELY even see the spots on a dark screen.
That is if it's just a few, if you have a LOT of dark spots like that then you'd prob end up with a better replacement. Me, myself, I have 3 spots that are very small in size so I'm not going to bother to try to get my phone replaced.
Hi,
I received an LG G2 today, and I noted it has small white dot in the middle of the screen. I'm trying to identify if it's a dead pixel or a stuck pixel. Warranty is harsh in my country, and before going on an all out battle to replace the unit, I want to make sure it's indeed dead and not just stuck.
It's bright white dot, and I can see it visible on green, blue, red, white and grey - even though it's easier to identify on white and grey. I can't see it on a black screen. Is it dead or stuck?
Thanks!

im not sure that it matters if its dead or stuck, im not aware of any way to fix it either way, other than changing the screen. i would get it replaced.
I hope that it's viewable in the linked photo but my girlfriend's phone is now showing a line on the upper half of the screen, has anyone else had this issue?

I can't see anything
I'll have to see if I can get a better picture of it, it's a solid line that's visible with white, green, and blue backgrounds.
I can't see it in your picture, but I did have screen burn in on my Note8. The bottom navbar and 2 homescreen icons burnt in pretty good. Luckily Samsung was really quick on a LCD replacement. Contacted them, shipped it in on a Thursday and had it back the following Friday. I'd say reach out to them! My phone was a pre-order, so I assume one of the first batches. Best of luck!
There's definitely a something funky going on with your screen. There's a distinctive line running about 1/3 of the way through. Lighter on the-left, darker on the right.
Screen issues.
Hey I just wanted to say i have the exact same issue. I don't have a dead pixel right on the line but I've noticed that no matter the brightness or even the resolution I have my screen on there is always a line of discoloration at the same exact spot. I have contacted samsung and it's under warranty, I just have to get to a store to replace the screen. I wish there was an easier way I could fix it instead of me having to go out and get it repaired.
