Hi,
I need to replace my housing for my mda compact iv. Can i use a touch diamond house on the mda compact iv? Are they compatible?
Thank you.
I wonder that too...i guess that it fits.. have you tried it?
the official htc extended battery i bought for the htc diamond fits my mda compact 4 but the back cover doesnt fit. so im guessing the htc diamond standard back cover will not fit the mda compact 4 either.
no fit
no it wont fit the htc touch diamond is different cosmetics to our MDA we need to look elsewhere friends.. hey in that does the magnetic stylus work at all i aint getting no change in and out - weird
magnetic stylus works fine for me, although im using the GEN Ultralite rom v1.1

Hello all,
I have just got my SP5 today, and I am very pleased so far.
I wanted to ask about the cover on the joystick (the crome plastic part). I had a phone with a similar joystick before, but the crome "cover" on the SP5 seems to be slightly "loose" on top of the joystick. (i.e has some play in it if you push it slightly.
Is this normal / can someone else check thiers?
kind regards
Hi Jon
I got a Qtek 8310, and I've the same 'problem' :?
My joystick cover is loose too... hope it's not going to be worse in the future..
Hi Folks,
will i be able to buy any replacement battery covers for my mda compact 4 ?
or will i be able to the ones from the HTC Victor or the Version from the US Providers like Sprint ?
Though I like the shape of the mda the color of the back is extremely ugly(sort of greyish).
I wished it would look more like that
http://www.slashphone.com/htc-touch-diamond-comes-in-different-variant-28549
can i use those with my phone? 'cause i heard the back cover from the O2 xda are not compatible with the original htc covers.
greetz
looks very nice, i'd be interested in this too
No. this doesnt do it for me. i like the whole diamond thing, this just looks like a normal phone, nothing special. The diamond just looks different, especially the back with its diamond shapes. Thats one of the design things i like most.
But i dont find the P3702 ugly
it looks like a different d pad. what do you guys think?
the scrolling wheel does stand out a bit. not even with the other buttons like on the diamond.
but can someone please answer my question and not discuss if they like the design or not
by the way, htckaiseruser, the diamond looks better to me to, but the mda lies way better in the hand (is that only german saying?). the feel to is much better, you dont have all the fingerprints on the back and you can lie it down table, without it wabbelin back and forth
Hello! I got a question to ask. I just got my new MWg Zinc II and I noticed that I will have to tap the screen harder than usual then it will react. The screen is not sensitive enough for my case. And also, no matter how many times and how accurate I align the screen, It is still not align properly. What about you guys? Does the above 2 problems happen on your MWg Zinc II? Thanks.
No. I just put a temporary screen cover on & it still works fine.
Hi Folks,
I was wondering if anyone has tried to modify a Raphael so that when you slide the keyboard out you can tilt the screen, so that it can sit like a laptop.
I remember seeing either a Hermes or Wizard that had been modded, so that it was like the Kaiser.
The reason i am asking is because I currently have a Kaiser and love the way the screen tilts, but its pretty beat up and broken, so the insurance replacement would be the Raphael.
Thanks
I cant believe ive got to not knowing which phone I have?!!
I have an O2 XDA Orbit 2.
I always thought this was the Polaris, though mine looks nothing like the one on the forum image. What I do have (as per the forum images) is an Iolite.
Is the XDA Orbit 2 a touch cruise or a touch cruise 2?
Edit: Actually my phone says its a Polaris in the Device Info. Anyone know why the case is different?
The O2 Orbit 2 is a re-cased / re-badged Polaris with a 3M pixel autofocus camera.
IMO O2 always do a good job with the redesigns for the XDA range (case in point, the Ignito has a much nicer battery cover than the Diamond and the camera seems to be better, maybe because the lens cover glass is better as well??).
It looks like HTC have taken note of the Orbit 2's nicer case for the Iolite!!
The Iolite by all accounts doesn't have an autofocus camera?? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??
I don't think the Iolite is available as an XDA Orbit so I guess you *do* have a re-cased (and better for it) Polaris.
I just bought an Orbit 2 S/H and IMO it's a better device than my crappy Ignito, although it has the same CPU with integrated GPS chip as the Ignito the antenna is obviously much better as I don't have the same GPS lag and acquisition problems as the Ignito on the Orbit 2!!
Oh, and I never got on well with TF3D so I'm glad to be back with the O2 today screen.
I'll miss the Ignito's camera tho' :'-(

Many Thanks for clearing that up for me. I thought i'd gone mad for a bit this morning!
My girlfriend has the Ignito.
We both think its awful, I much prefer my orbit 2. Her battery life is terrible, touch screen annoying, the 3d touch flo is a bit confusing and the screen started to play up in the pub last night. It seems to open programs on its own accord sometimes too.
I can vouch that the orbit 2 is well built. I left it on the bonnet of my van and went bombing down the lanes.... it flew off at about 50mph and survived with just a few scratches. Ive had it covered in paint, cement, sand and dropped it in a puddle and it still goes on like the day I bought it.
Can we get a screen shot of the O2 today screen?

Which device do you want the today sreen from?
EDIT: Just to clarify: I went from O2 Orbit (Artemis) with WM5>O2 today plugin
to O2 Ignito (Diamond) with TF3D - The Ignito doesn't have the O2 today plugin by default so it's either TF3D or plain 'ole WM6.1
to O2 Orbit 2 (Polaris) which has WM6.1 and the O2 today plugin instead of the TF2D HTC home screen

ROFL: Typical self employed builder then?
Complete with posh phone and sandy pockets!
Its has to be the toughest job for a phone. The grit, water, getting crushed in pockets while lifting stuff and the temper tantrums (if you know what I mean) Thye xda orbit 2 is a workhorse!
