[Q] Error Update 262(custom ruu) - General Questions and Answers

Hello folks,
well i have a htc hd 2 us tmobile
i was able to use the android release by froyo 2.2 works great ( and so as the dual boot) till i want to call someone make the robot noise, so i clicked on the custom rom update i downloaded it and every time it starts to flash it stays at zero percent then it throws a error 262 every time i tried,i started with windows xp, downloaded active sync checked device manager to see that peripherals were tip top, it still does the same thing, tried windows 7 downloaded device manager same 262 error, tried removing sim and micro sd card same crap, tried to do it with the phone already in the bootloader same thing state guys im running out of ideas, please help

ROM picture Change Error

Well I've tried everything possible, updated device manager fro vista. MDA Vario 3, connects for active sync but after running KaiserCustomRUU.exe. where it update the crrunt ROM version... it changes the screen into 3 color screen , after few minutes in the same condition............ 0% process........ and then........... shows me an error message as under:
ERROR [262]: UPTAE ERROR
The ROM update utility has encountered communication errors during the update process. The program will guide you step-by-
step to recover from the errors so you can continue the update.
and i need to restart MDA. although on recovery process it directly come to normal screen instead of 3 color screen, which means (i guess) it never started changing ROM current picture.
Any help about it plz.

you have vista then your prob better off flashing via sd, also you shouldn't have started a new thread to ask this question, this forum isn't intended for every time someone has a problem and searches and can't find the answer to start a new thread. PM someone you see posting that seems knowledgeable and ask that person if you can't find what you are looking for.
Flashing through SD is always the best. And its a lot safer than USB way.

My Treo 750 wont upgrade

Hello. I had a Treo 750 with the original os. After finding out the windows mobile 6.5 version that you guys had i tried it and it worked.
Well.. i saw another one that i thought was cooler... htc like and tried it on, i have installed using usb method and the installation went well. After I rebooted I got a 3 coloured screen.
Ever since that i have tried every method i could found, i tried flashing rom using mtty command
set 14 0
task 28
tas 0
than I installed the 6.5 version using my sd card. It all goes well untill at some point I get this on the screen:
CHEEIMG.nbh
SPLASH1 - OK
BOOTLOADER - OK
GSM - OK
MicroP - OK
EXTROM - OK
OS - Fail
Update Terminate
UPDATE FAIL
Any other CHEEIMG.nbh file i try i get the same error -.-
In some topic I saw that in this case I had to flash using the original rom, I have a Cingular device from the US (im not in the us), was a ATT rom that I have seen posted in the forum.
If I update this 6.5 CHEEIMG.nbh using the complete fix kit through usb it stops everytime in different percentages. It got stuck on 12% , 53% and others but never finishes..
I have also tried the original rom through cable mode using complete fix kit and it sais the CHEEIMG.nbh file is corrupted ...
Im about to loose my patience since i've been on this for days... can anyone give me a hand?

[Q] 2.2 device not recognized ;(

please help me :- after our long wait for 2.2 to become avail for my galaxy s i was over the moon when i was 'allowed' to upgrade but to my horror when downloading to the phone windows vista decided it didn't recognize my device and terminated connection.
ive tried a few things since to try to rectify , i've deleted then reinstalled kies , kies was also telling me to go into recovery mode which my unit doesn't do , the phone & pc communicate fine to upload & download reg media etc it just seems that when digging android is doing his thing on my screen the pc decides NO!!!!!.
Also after each attempt to upgrade the phone seems to be un-affected and will boot & work without any problems.
As i said before please help as i bought android rather than sellout to you know who and all my 'i' mates are laughing.........

[Q] I can't do CID Unlock

Hey.First of all,I don't know much about theese rom update things and I know that i'm not good at English.
PPC: HTC Touch Elf (Windows 6.0)
PC OS: Windows 7
I want to install Windows 6.5 on my Elf.I've read some guides for that.I've downloaded that for unlocking CID: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=320155 .I tried it like 15 times and got "Error 260" on all (i'm sure that i followed directions right).Then tried a few more CID Unlocker,but they all ended up to Error 260.
For example,on that unlocker,when it starts to upgrade my phone's screen turns off for 2 seconds,i'll hear the disconnect sound from my computer,and after my screen comes back with tricolor upgrade will stuck on %0 and i'll get Error 260 again.
I've tried with 3 different USB data cables but it's still same.And i'm deactivating my firewall/antivirus program before install...
Note:I've already searched on forums,but that didn't work.

[Q] microP-wrong platform(0×0) touch none for htc arrive

i have done some stupid thing to my htc arrive. which is running on windows 7.0 os with spl 2.x i tried to install windows 7.8 without downgrading to hspl. rom updater started at 1% my pc got restarted and shown your pc is recovered from serious error. but nothing was happened to my phone. after next day morning touch screen was not responding. showing microp wrong platform(0×0) touch none. now i downgraded to hspl using dft tool and installed all available roms for htc arrive but touch was not working. i already have full backup of original rom and i have updated that one also still no luck. i tried y cable method 3 times but nothing happened.it says installing touch driver ok but not working.i have opened my htc arrive and pulled out the sd card and reinserted still problem was alive. i don't have warrenty for my mobile. is there any solution available to solve my problem? sorry for my bad english
