Myn Warm Donut POLA200 - Wifi not working NAND / Haret method - Touch Cruise Android Development

Hello.
I am currently trying all versions of Android mentioned in this forum to try and find a stable and compatible version that i can run day to day. Unfortunately i have not yet found a combination that enables wi-fi. The ecliar version enables wi-fi however cannot connect to anything. I am currently using Myn Warm Donut loaded by NAND method. Everything working ok except wi-fi. I have tried both types of NBH files and have tried both methods following instructions contained in the foums. I have also updated with most fixes for wi-fi found in this forum and still not joy.
Does anyone have the same issue? Is this related only to a POLA200? Does anyone have a work around?
Kind Regards
AC

Did you use android update?

Yeah i used android update, before booting into the o/s. I fixed the permissions but nothing changed. Wi-fi will not enable at all. I only have internet access from my network providor.
Kind Regards

[Q] No mobile internet on HTC Polaris with Android

Hi,
I managed to install Android on my HTC Polaris using HaRET. Everythings works fine (GSM, WLAN, GPS, Bluetooth) except mobile internet via GPRS, EGDE or UMTS. I updated the radio to the latest version I could find for my Polaris (1.65.38.14). I even called my mobile carrier (O2 Germany) to get the correct APN settings. With WM the connection via UMTS works perfectly.
Any ideas what goes wrong? If I would be able to solve this problem, I would abandon WM and flash Android on my phone.
I tried Android 2.1 and 2.1, but the problem remains.
Here are the details of my setup:
Device: O2 xda Orbit 2, i.e. HTC Polaris 200
Android: 2.2
Kernel: 2.6.25-01130-g99a3b07-dirty bell(at)bell-laptop #383
Build:eu_vogue-userdebug 2.2 FR91 eng. martin.20100711.172453 test-keys
Thanks for any help,
Ralf
you can try following to activate mobile inet connection:
- put your phone into airplane on - airplane off
- (re)enter your apn via settings - wireless&network - mobilenetworks - access point names - press menu to enter new apn(s) or reset to defaults.
- force connection using modem.apk (connect/disconnect)
- reinstall/install another build, leave data
- install togga (toggle data connect), put on your sdcard and install via file manager
- use another zImage
- use stock radio

Have you put the MMC and MNC values for the APN correctly? I had that problem.
Hello,
as posted in another answer, none of warm donut, eclair and froyo was able to get my XDA2(Pola200) online by 3G due booting from haret.
Also none of the tricks given above and in another posts and wikis(i tried everything, believe me)had done the trick.
After flashing it on NAND (Kallt_kaffes eclair RLS7c with latest available eclair kernel), 3G was starting out of the box after boot, w/o further configurations. Curiously with an apn entry from O2. I use a prepaid provider which is based on the O2 network but it has another apn name.
Better be careful, maybe it will be an expensive experience, to go online with the wrong apn entry - in my case it wasn`t.
Anyway, dont`t know what`s the difference relatet to the hardware of my device between Haret and NAND boot and not/working modem.

hi matthias,
i have a very similar problem here in austria, using Yesss (which is using the Orange network). i can't get any data connection with froyo build. so i switched back to eclair (VaniljEclair_RLS7c) and 3g connection works out of the box - curiously with an apn from orange.
no idea what is wrong with froyo?
i'm using polaris 200 (xda orbit 2) with haret boot.

Make rom file from PND?

Dear,
I am new on this forum therefore I do apologyze if I am posting at the wrong place
I have a nearly no name GPS (Magnum PND 2735) with Navigon on it.
It has Windows CE 5.0 on it (some references if it can help/ 00039-267-519-955 and X11-1532).
On the internet I found a program called MioPocket (MP, I can't post a link here, google will find it easyly for you). It allows you to get acces to the OS of your GPS and also allows to use other GPS programs (with a handy user interface).
Now I first used an older version of it with no problem. Then I installed the latest version and I had some troubles with some softwares so I decided to remove it again an reinstall it. Unfortunately it must have gone wrong; Now the GPs does not start, I have the startup screen working and then nothing starts. I suppose some drivers must have been deleted.
Now I have acces to my GPS with a USB cable to my computer. I have acces to the root of the GPS (Windows) but a lot of files are secured.
I have a friend with exactly the same GPS. He copied a maximum of files (able to copie) for me but it didn't work.
As a lot of files a locked I looked out for a rom file but did not find one. After a lot of research I found this friendly forum. I know my problem has not to do with HTC phones but the solution might be the same.
I would like to know if it would be possible (and how) to make a rom file from the OS on my friend's GPS and then how to install it to my GPS.
Is there specific software requested? Is there a procedure on how to make a rom file from a mobile device? Is it possible to make a rom file from any mobile device?
I do hope anyone can help me, I was so happy with my GPS.
First of all I thank everyone on this forum, you are all friendly and helpful.

[Q] Huawei e1750 on ZT-180

I have a Huawei E1750 3G USB modem that I want to make working on the ZT-180 tablet. Until now I have not been successfull to get it working, although it is working on my notebook and with the Flytouch2 out-of-the-box.
I have searched forums for a solution, but have not been able to get it working until now.
I have tried the following, which is not working on the original FW that the ZT-180 comes with and with the new Android 2.2 FW.
Create APN
Use APN manager(s)
Manually edit configuration files like init.gprs-pppd
Checked for errors in dmesg
tried to run init.gprs-pppd manually, no error messages
I have disabled CDROM and MicroSD emulation on the stick
I tried to switch between ttyUSB0 to ttyUSB3
Checked the permissions on the files (init.gprs-pppd) and folders (ppp) as mentioned in some posts
I hope that the experts on XDA (hehe) can help me out!
Thank you in advance!

[Q] SGS2 GB 2.3.6 KK5 not connecting to PEAP wireless

is anyone else having problems with GB 2.3.6 KK2/5 connecting to an enterprise wireless installation. Was fine before i updated to this ROM. Tried a few different things but none seems to have helped. Installed Wifi Advanced Configuration Editor and that didn't fix it either. When it redo the config it won't save the Phase 2 authentication setting.

Working MAC spoofer solution for recent Android 6 marshmallow smartphones?

I've been looking for a working MAC spoofer solution (app/mod/patch) for a test phone running Android Marshmallow but I didn't find anything that works.
currently the test device is a LG G3 running fulmics ROM 5.0 (based on Android marshmallow / LG 30F), but it seems the matter is rather android 6.x related.
The Aim is to change/spoof temporarily or permanently the hardware MAC address of the internal network adapter (eth0, but mainly wlan0).
So there are a lot of apps out there in the market which claim to do exactly that. I tried many of them, but nothing works as intended.
To name a few of them:
- Wifi Mac Changer
- ChameleMAC
- Mac Address Ghost
- MacChanger
- MacSpoofer
- many more tested
- Phone ID Changer / Device ID Changer app/module for xposed
even the most promising one:
- Pry-Fi by chainfire
does not work, it just crashes while trying to spoof.
all of them claim to change the mac, but it's not working on this device or general on an android 6.x version.
either they crash or they fail in spoofing.
so I tried to spoof the MAC manually in a Terminal with BusyBox installed and a command like:
busybox ifconfig wlan0 hw ether 00:11:22:33:44:55, checked if it worked with iplink cmd and it did. But when I try to connect to my access point, I can't join the wifi network it always neglects my pw. when I turn wifi on/off, the MAC gets reset to original hardware MAC and I can again connect to my wifi AP.
So even when trying to spoof the MAC manually it doesn't work.
And I don't know if it is a problem with Android 6.x, the device itself or the ROM i used.
Does anybody else have a working mac spoofer solution for an Android 6.x version smartphone or have an idea how to this working?
Did you also try connecting to an open network after the busybox method ? I read somewhere the pw issue was only when connecting to secured networks.
Other than that ... I'm also looking for a reliable solution. No luck so far.
Also , you might want to try / read http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-network-ghost-mac-hostname-spoofer-t3145866
Is explains why the busybox method fails with WPA networks.
thanx for the link. It was interesting.
unfortunately the app doesn't work either. so we still have no working solution or app that does spoof the mac on marshmallow devices.
