Dear,
I am new on this forum therefore I do apologyze if I am posting at the wrong place
I have a nearly no name GPS (Magnum PND 2735) with Navigon on it.
It has Windows CE 5.0 on it (some references if it can help/ 00039-267-519-955 and X11-1532).
On the internet I found a program called MioPocket (MP, I can't post a link here, google will find it easyly for you). It allows you to get acces to the OS of your GPS and also allows to use other GPS programs (with a handy user interface).
Now I first used an older version of it with no problem. Then I installed the latest version and I had some troubles with some softwares so I decided to remove it again an reinstall it. Unfortunately it must have gone wrong; Now the GPs does not start, I have the startup screen working and then nothing starts. I suppose some drivers must have been deleted.
Now I have acces to my GPS with a USB cable to my computer. I have acces to the root of the GPS (Windows) but a lot of files are secured.
I have a friend with exactly the same GPS. He copied a maximum of files (able to copie) for me but it didn't work.
As a lot of files a locked I looked out for a rom file but did not find one. After a lot of research I found this friendly forum. I know my problem has not to do with HTC phones but the solution might be the same.
I would like to know if it would be possible (and how) to make a rom file from the OS on my friend's GPS and then how to install it to my GPS.
Is there specific software requested? Is there a procedure on how to make a rom file from a mobile device? Is it possible to make a rom file from any mobile device?
I do hope anyone can help me, I was so happy with my GPS.
First of all I thank everyone on this forum, you are all friendly and helpful.

I have my device from O2, so got no pvplayer on it.Download from 'pvplayer.com'-is not possible because is a copyrighted file that Orange devices include. So how to get it?I hope somone got an idea because i really need it.I think there is a version for Pc too!
I remember a thread a while ago that was discussing how to avoid installing these "first boot" progs, it mentioned that you reset the handset at a certain point through the setup, the handset then wont install the cabs and it will just leave them in the memory somewhere, I need to find someone who has / is prepared (M500 for example) to do this and copy the .cabs to a computer who could send me the right cab, and hey presto.
Thanks...
hey,
well obviously I'm a newbie here and i needed to know if anyone can help me find a download link for windows mobile?it crashed on my Siemens pocketloox and i lost my cd so i've been looking everywhere for a downloadable version but i can't find one.
thanks in advance.
Dude a pda is not like a pc where you can freely install any OS you wish... The official Windows Mobile versions must be provided by your manufacturer (there isn't a Universal version per say... if you try to flash the version of another device you'll kill your phone). You may try to check Fujitsu-Siemens homepage for an official ROM update or contact them if needed
Over the net you may find ROMs for pda but bare in mind these are device specific and your device usually needs to be hacked in order to install unofficial versions (your device seems to be quite old... I don't believe you'll find any rom here since xda is almost HTC land).
Also what do you mean by crashed? Did you brick it (OS won't start... all you get is a black screen)? Have you tried removing/reinserting the battery and restarting?
the start menu suddenly has no icons, and neither the camera shortcut button nor the notes one are working.basically,it just opens and almost everything is disabled.
The easy solution is...
Just hardreset the device (seach here) and it will reset your device to factory defaults (it's like a format+reinstall)... Problem solved.
Just make sure you backup your data (photos, contacts, messages...) before because everything will be erased
thanks a lot man it worked.
I didnt see an obvious section for xdandroid questions, so i hope its okay to post a couple here; forgive me and redirect me if not, please...
1. I'm running xdandroid frx07 on my htc touch pro off the sdcard. Is it possible to swap sdcards while running the xdandroid system? im guessing no.
2. If I cant hot swap the sd card, then (this may be silly to some but I'm tired) are there any android specific files that can NOT be read by Windows Mobile 6.1?
3. Is it possible to install xdandroid to the device itself so as to free up the sd card for normal data storage and transport between devices? For instance, I would like to install it to "\(lowest possible dir)\xdandroid\" instead of "\sdcard\" ("I know I probably won't be able to completely over-write the WM6x OS, so Windows will have its own folder tree branch and xdandroid will have its own as well. I already have Haret in the WM startup list so I never see WM except for when I boot without the sd card inserted (Haret just errors out because it cant find the files to boot linux).
4. I also would like to know if anyone knows where I can find and turn OFF everything that actually uses or relies on the Sprint/CDMA cellular network (I dont have a carrier, I use it strictly on wi-fi as a miniature internet terminal/remote control for PC & PS3). I would love it if someone could direct me toward a generic/non-carrier branded ROM to flash, that would do the trick!
5. Just kidding; I won't write another question yet, I think these are good enough for now. Thanks in advance for any and all serious responses
Hey there,
The touch pro is in the legacy device forums, here is the rom link fyi : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1171070.
You would be better off asking for help in that thread
theres a thread that explains how to root TVpad2 OS but also installing android but unfortunately Im still confused to where to begin...
Since I can't post outside links, I'll post the replies here:
this seems to indicate tvpad has onboard storage of ~4G which runs the applications, though i'm not sure about the function of each partiton. it doesn't seem to be easy to put a custom os such as 'openelec' into the storage through telnet. i think in order to do that, one needs to tether the box with linux machine first...
here's the guide that i'm trying to follow:
REMOVED
^You are correct. Not going to be easy. At least I had many sleepless nights trying to find a way to put Android on TVPad1/2/3. Probably not going to help you with your Openelec project, but for Android I found an interesting article which is mostly related to TVPad2/3 (tcc8925 chipset): REMOVED . Never got much further with it since I never figured out how to put the TVPad2 into FWDN mode (bricked a perfectly working unit trying to figure that out). So I called it quits. I am a Windows guy though, so maybe for some Linux wizard it's a piece of cake.
^thanks for the info, it's good to know.
now i realized that putting 'openelec' won't be possible because onboard rom would require the firmware be loaded first since it contains drivers specific to the tvpad. however, it's unclear to me how one tethers tvpad2 to computer for editing and transferring firmware, since tvpad2 only has one standard usb port( a host usb?). and the linked guide utilizes a miniUSB to usb cable to link the CX-01 mini PC to computer for updating the firmware. anyway, these procedures seem too complicated to go through for what tvpad is worth.
this is a link i found that contains some info on flash fwdn image with pc to devices with TCC8902/TCC8803 chipset:
REMOVED
Could anyone give me some insight? Thanks
Hi everybody,
not sure whether I can post this within the clone phone threads since I do not know the processor nor the manufacturer.
Phone is a pseudo iPhone which runs some kind of Android which is disguised as iOS (really bad quality).
Unfortunately this Android is really instable and phone does not work reliably.
Now I am trying to find out whether there might be another Android version which I could flash instead. Already identified Needrom as possible source but need the real device manufacturer and processor before.
Any idea how I could proceed here? Just still trying to avoid to connect to PlayStore on this phone since the Chinese ones are known for their spyware.
Recoveryis accessible.

From About: Modell: MNRJ2CH/A
Which other information do I need to provide/identify the phone and how do I get it?
Any help highly appreciated.
Bye
First things I identified are that it seems to be a Lenovo using MT65xx - at least this was shown during driver installation when phone was connected to Win PC.
After connecting to Win10 Laptop YunOS ACB Interface has been installed. MTKTools tells about the already known fake and says its an MT6582.
So how can I provide a suitable stock ROM onto it?

Hey Renth,
I am afraid I got one of those too. It looks like an iphone with 250GB memory, but in eality it only has less than 50 MB.

I a wondering also if I can wipe out whatever it has installed.
Sorry for the late reply. I also raised that topic within China Devices Forum back then. There I documented all my activities (hopefully did not forget anything).
Do not know whether cross referencing is allowed, so just send me a PM then I can provide you the link. Alternativly you can ask google for "How to identify real device (Clone phone)?" and then follow the link with the same topic at Chine Devices forum.
