eclair lockscreen

is there a way to replace my 1.5 lockscreen with the eclair version? i mean without the need for a 3rd party lock app? i see it can be done in 2.1 but i wasn't sure about a 1.5 build?

I'm not sure you can. I know some ROMS come with it but besides having lockbot I don't think you can do it without having 2.1.

I remember this coming up a few months ago, and I thought the 2.1 lockscreen on 1.5 was a no go...
What's the deal you drop 2.1 to get back to 1.5?

it's possible, but i doubt anyone is willing to backport the apk to 1.5 especially with 2.1 dropping within a few weeks. The nexus one news and weather widget was backported for example, but i dont think people are willing to put in all this effort with 2.1 around the corner.

stock android lockscreens are not apk.s they are in the codes you can run the stock donut lockscreen when on donut roms or enclair lockscreens when on enclair

thanks for the responses...ill just wait until the 2.1 update comes out.
and the reason i don't like lockme or lockbot is ...it's an app that doesn't fully let your phone sleep which drains the battery more.

mine slept fine with it installed but it laged to much for me to keep so i went back to custom locksceens from NOJ (for 1.5 roms)

kind of. for me it was too laggy for a replacement. i'd press menu and have to wait for lockbot to bring up the lockscreen. it was counterproductive for just a nicer looking screen.

exactly why i just uninstalled it after 48 hours of use...
also, its not treated like a regular lockscreen and my handscent messages were popping up over it even though i have the setting to only show after the lockscreen is removed which works perfectly again after uninstall... nice concept, but not refined enough for me...

+1 to everything above. Also it doesn't allow the adjustment of media volume when the screen is off.

Seeds of Life- (Market Paid) stopped this morning after a lockscreen, but has been golden the rest of the day and all night yesterday.

good idea!
3d tunnel works ok. It runs with helix launcher but close out eventually.
Bezier works great. No problems at all and looks nice.
Nexus mod obviously doesn't work.
Red eye scanner doesn't work that well
The matrix works pretty well

Isn't it great! I just wish I could change the font color from green to a cyan to match my theme a little better.

Negative. My battery life today has been the same (as far as I can tell) with moderate use. It certainly hasn't been losing battery % at a rapid rate. No harm in trying it yourself.
First day I have been using LWP, for what its worth.

Nexus mod has been working perfectly fine for me since like before noon for me...without a hitch, or hiccup. The earth FC on me, and back to NexusMod it was. A few are having issues with it and some have had no trouble at all Odd....yes.

Is any one having this issue? When I set the live wallpaper, it shows up nice. If I put the phone to sleep and wake it back up, the phone reverts back to my original static wallpaper. Any thoughts?

Mystify and Pong LWP seem to work fine for me. No FC's and I've used both for about an 8 hour period each.

I had the same problem. Found that when I dl a wallpaper from the market it stuck. Every wall that came with the rom reverted back.

Is it still there after your phone sleeps for awhile?
Nexusmod works great for me when I first put it on, but after my phone sleeps and I wake it back up, I'm right back to my old "regular" wallpaper....

I found the problem, I had downloaded the Digitain rain LWP and that was the problem. I downloaded Nexus Mod and it works great. Man it looks sweet.

I stand corrected, after the phone sat for a minute in sleep, it decided to revert back with this one too. hmm. . .

As a test, try the Maps lwp. So far it's the only one I've been able to get to "stick".
Not asking you to use it permanently or anything, just curious if the same thing happens for you....

It does look like maps LWP is sticking.

Digital Rain, Fireworks, and ZoomField all stick for me and I still have the HTCweatherwallpaper.apk installed they stick and I have my weather effects

3g icons?

im building my new rom and id like to incorp the 3g icons into my theme, can anybody point me in the right direction and maybe tell me where to put the icons and such?

they should be in the com.htc.resources in the res/drawable-mdpi folder.

Yup...your phone is told to display either 3G or evdo or 1x....find which one your ROM is told to display and locate those pngs in the com.htc.resources.apk and change them in photoshop or whatnot to the 3G icons (which will also be in the resources.apk)
...they will ALL be easy to locate, just look for pngs that are titled signalcdma6bars or 3G or evdo or 1x....
It's a bit of fishing, but one inside, you'll start picking up what is what and changing what need to be what.

They're in your phone already. Open up the apk and look around, you might be surprised what you find

yea isnt it crazy the jog arrows for the 2.0 lock are there already. it seems there is a ton of images not being used.

It's a little disappointing. I wonder how small a rom someone could build if they removed all the stuff that never gets used. It's like they built an os and rather than building new ones they just update it from device to device. It would be cool to see one that had nothing extra in it.

my new rom is based on fresh 2.0d with a **** ton of fixes. i have successfully stripped the rom of all sense and it works great, im themeing it now. yes tonight i will try to make a custom sense version too.
my old rom that was based on damage & sushi have that awake time bug due to the kernel, drained my battery over 50% last night while not being used.

unless I'm mistaken I don't think it would be possible for any of us to do it. I think all the files in a given apk are logged when it's compiled and although I've never tried it I suspect that if you removed even one png (or even just renamed or resized one) it would disable the apk. But don't quote me

Again, don't quote me, I think a transparent png would be the same, or at least not much different in size. The file has to indicate something for each pixel whether it's a color or transparent.
*edit- I'll check some of my transparent png's against the stock ones and see if there's a difference

the taskbar is a black gloss and the 3g icons had a flat black background. your icons fit in perfect. im about to test one more thing, then ill be releasing V3.0 with a donate link!

I'm not sure about the system ones, but I did change some of the png's in the weather widget and forgot to resize the images to the correct size and it still worked.
I am actually going to give this a try with the framework-res apk and let you know. I will delete the some of the png's not used, but keep the folder and then flash and will let you know.

Anyone have a flashable zip for the HTC lockscreen?

There seems to be too many ROMs and too little themes!! It's becoming hard to find a ROM with the HTC lockscreen, I was wondering if anyone had made a flashable zip for it...

If no one has hooked you up by the time I get home, I'll make one for you.

Just push HtcLockscreen.apk to /system/app/HtcLockscreen.apk
Once you go vanilla you never go back.

Problems hooking it up to my computer, if it's a big bother I'll just get it done later.
And I went vanilla and went back! I actually wish more ROMs would get rid of it. I never use mute, and I don't like the vibrating/sliding at all....but that's just personal preference.

PS - I have seen this requested on other ROM threads, which is why I asked, I am hoping it won't be done for myself alone...

It's no big deal. I will do it as soon as I can get the wife off the computer.

My very first flashable zip thats not a bootscreen. Just tried it out and it worked perfectly for me.

i just tried pushing through over aloysius 2.0.1 and it slowed down my phone tremendously. i think i had an autokiller FC, but the message cleared before i could confirm it. my text messaging widget took forever to load, and it took about 2 minutes to load up my contacts through the people app.
is this a 2.1 lockscreen or is there no difference between 2.1 and 1.5 lockscreens?

i tried it again, and then rebooted, it seemed a little slow and laggy the first time, but i think it's working fine now.
here's my next issue: i can't change the lockscreen background. it will not change from the default blurry dots. anyone help with this issue? thanks!

Dell Streak running Streakdroid 1.9
flash went flawless however the lockscreen itself doesn't seem to have any effect on dell streak just continues to go back to the stock lockscreen. In this case dj_steve's build.

this is just something i threw together so i could flash miui (sounds like my u i)
i just hated the wood so i replaced it with metal. i liked the speed of this rom but still missing too many features of cm6 for my taste. i can appreciate it though and will be working on it. it includes working hulu with all the fixes and i themed the kb to match. enjoy

my cmsettings, and cmparts that let me edit and control everything w/o modding. an app drawer,setcpu working;no kernel yet.power options for reboot are missing as well.
if i continue to use i have a few more ideas to add. the launcher is rather lame as well. i feel like i lost tech switching from adw,however it is so fast, not sure if that was the rom itself or adw sucking ass.

its a bunch of framework edits. lemme see what is changed in the update and ill make a new one. i doubt the framework was edited so, it shouldnt be hard. dont have a ton of time, my girls in the hospital; gotta go see her.....

so you use luancher pro instead of the stock MIUI launcher, what's the diff.

are you viewing from a computer or your phone, if on the pc i can see them just fine.

not sure where youre viewing from but they show up on all 7 of my pc's and both evo's and my hero. might want to try another pc. i can verify that they are not corrupt; if they were no one else could see them either and pps wouldve requested pics by now, or just said hey no pics are showing up.

flash over an existing 1.05 install or directly after 1.05 before reboot from recovery.

Is there a trick to get the volume to work?

flashed on the 1.08, some of it appears to work, however my red carbon swype is gone, give's it a black them, which can be bad since when it's guessing which words you mean you can't see some of them since they are black on black, lol, but mostly it's not bad other then that and the lock screen was my last one i had, lol, can you make a clear theme such as like Riptides9 he did for froyo, that would be sick.

I'm not fond of the launcher MIUI comes with but I like everything else so I just use launcher pro..

After you install launcher pro just click on the home button twice and it will bring up the select screen..make sure to check off 'make default' and choose launcher pro
