[ROM]OpenEclair_Modified YAY

First off....Thank you everyone that worked on the OpenEclair ROM and also the dude that made the Black Theme for it. I can't remember who that guy was but he knows who he is

Ok so since no one else has done it yet for some odd reason I have decided to modify OpenEclair a little bit to run better for everyday use.
Things that I modified/removed:
-Added the LiveWallpapers Mod (Forgot the guy's name that did this sorry but thanks man you rule!)
-Took out Home, YouTube, and Gallery3D (Since video drivers don't work and Gallery3D chugs like a ***** lol)
-Added Advanced Free Task Manager, AppManager, CacheCleaner, Twidgit Lite,
swype (coolness)
-Some other stuff can't remember...
Some minor (Well really just one) incy wincy problemo
- The time on the notification bar is all black so its gunna be hard to see it
(still working on that)

It's nothing against this mod, I just really think we should have one thread to host ALL of the mods. They've been popping up like wildfire lately, and it would be nice to have some organization.

Everyone's been going through flash withdrawals so this will probably make everyone all happy and bug out. at least that's what I hope lol
this mod actually does make it run much faster and smoother in my opinion.

Easy Fix would be to pull the Classes.dex file in the services.jar from the Dark Themed eclair 1.2.1 rom Here:http://www.4shared.com/file/226481604/cb5b6cc8/OpenEclair-DARK.html and pop it into the sevices.jar file in your rom.

EDIT: It didn't go good. Well it looks like someone is gunna have to do this for me since currently im doing my modifying on windows 7. so whoever wants to fix the time at the notifications bar is free to do so ^^ and post it up or send give me the link to post it

I could do it where it is aosp when you dial but when you talk or recieve a call it goes back..... TRUST ME i tried MANY DIFFERENT WAYS....

Lol, I believe you, how about taking off the photo stock and adding the Gallery3D - I think people like that better, or course as long as it works fast with no lags and that can do landscape without issues or escaping from it without crashing the phone I am sure you know what I mean.
Ohh now that we are talking about ASOP, anyway to get the Android KB on this OMG that would be the blast, it can make this ROM unique from the others.

trust me...its unique, the only reason its not in there is because when i sign into google 50000 times a day,aosp has no .com or long press # buttons. Ill put one up like that anything else???

Hey, good work and thanks for developing the ROM, I'll test once you have a link... but in the meantime, could you please fix the front page... at least use some formatting and make it a little less disorganized? I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I'm sure it'll help you if your front page has a coherent flow instead of a "all-in-one-paragraph" style format.... or maybe that's just what I think.

Yes they can be used with Sense UI.....most DEVS have updated their ROMs with the latest Rosies that now support LWP.
I've found the least lag with the zoomfield and mystify....although I'm quite partial to NexusMod 2.0

I've got nexusmod going right now and it hasn't seemed to cause any problems. Also Bezier and LiveFireWallpaper seem pretty cool and ran smoothly for me. (these 3 are all from the market)
The maps one is the only one that I might be willing to give up the weather animations for, but I haven't had a chance to try it out while I'm on the road. I'm a bit concerned what it might do as far as lag and battery consumption while buzzing down the highway.

I like zoom field and I really like the nexus mod but it doesnt stick after sleep what did you guys do to get it going?

Had to regrettably remove the HtchWeatherWallpaper.apk in systems/app
Everytime coming out of a sleep or unlocking the phone the weather wallpaper effects...kick the livewallper out.

im using DC 2.07 but I did change the rosie along with the lockscreen. im wondering if its not something to do with the fact that I took the HTCLockscreen apk from 2.06 becuase the weather animations dont kick in until you unlock it but the nexus mod dies as soon as I wake up the phone even before unlocking. are you using a clear lockscreen?

I am having the same problem. I wiped and did a clean flash and I cannot get the nexus mod lw to stick after sleep.
I have removed weather wallpaper as well but still a no go.

ok I have it naroowed down to 2 things it is either the HtcLockscreen.apk that I pulled from the other rom or its com.htc.resources.apk I pused both back and now it is back to stock but the LWP sticks

I like the Plasma live wallpaper. You can play with the settings to change flow rate, colors, intensity, etc.

Its not the lockscreen... I deleted my lockscreen and use vanilla, but it still doesnt stick on wake up.

yes. I am testing some stuff right now once I figure out whats causing it ill post

Maybe its in the NexusMod apk itself.. You might want to look into that.
Compare it to the ones that do stick.

nexus mod is the only LWP i think is worth having imo but possibly something within the apk its self could be tweaked to help it stick

Same here, I deleted the weather.apk and flashed the new rosie on darchlegend and nexus does not stick.

Seriously agree, the other ones are pretty nice too, but nexus mod kills it.

ok it is something to do with the clear lockscreen. I went back and pused them one at a time starting with com.htc.resources.apk. still stuck after that, pushed back the clear HtcLockscreen.apk and it wouldnt stick anymore. now I have no idea whats so ever how to fix the problem but that is where my problem lies at least.

I partly agree.. I like the bezier and another one, but i prefer the NexusMod. Im going to pull the apk and see whats the difference.

I saw damages newest release yesturday, so i put this little mod together for myself so i could check it out. I can never just flash the plain rom anymore, w/o modding it first, so when im done i just take out the paid apps and then ul for others that may like it. pps were asking me for a green mod so this is what i did. Its damage, just skinned with a new rosie,htc weather clock,themed lockbar,status bar header,status bar bottom, and changed font to comfortaa. I also fixed my EVO modded main nav scroller.Make sure you check out the new suped up dconfig ui. its sharp.

if it this is based on 3.2.2, that one has bugs. Newest DC version is 3.2.2.1

I'd love to try this out but unfortunately I can't seem to do download it on any of the mobile browsers I've got. I keep downloading a really small .dat file. Can anyone upload it somewhere else? It would be greatly appreciated

Yeah, i can do that, i used to hate the factory rosie but now i love it because i can do SO many things to it. To a mod freak like me, thats where its @. The other rosie is pretty basic. I like to replace it using my own shapes, but if you want it what color? my buddy drew wants it too. Colors are pretty limited to Black or a type of green between dark green and neon green. Lemme know. Glad you like it.

The easiest way to do that and the way i do, is to get ur setup perfect, then nandroid. Verify the nandroid. WIPE. Flash the new rom. Set it up to ur liking. Nandroid. REPEAT(this requires some space on sd and hd to backup).I wish it was that easy. If i could whip them up id have every color When i have some inspiration, ill be working on a blue next, if i have time maybe ill try and spit out two themes @ once. pm you when its/they are finished.
Like i explained in ops, i setup the whole rom so you get everything working the way its supposed to. Easier on everyone. If you dont like my work, just nandroid.You wont need it any time soon though

You can get it but on phone it is rather difficult to dl a 180mb file w/o corrupting the dl by slow data transfer speeds & combo of what type of sd you have it saving to. I can gurantee it works from pc and that is your best bet. I cant count the roms ive dl'd but never once have i dl'd with phone directly. I actually assume it would not complete and just waste my time. Sorry about that. If i knew another way id gladly share. If you have any other issues ill try my best to get you up and running.

Download and rename to .zip.
You can then open it with 7zip or winrar and peek inside.

if you mean the one in the launcher, i used the launcher in the base theme rather than my modded decepticon launcher cus it was all purple even though the folders for it are better,i didnt take the time to swap out the colors. i made my own too. thought i gave credit for this one but if i missed you im sorry. im not trying to take credit for anything that i have not done myself. all i did was

the border on those folders and widget box are 100% from my ios theme it looks like whomever started their own theme just replaced the inside with their own textured background

sorry bout that, ill credit you in the op, and then ill replace with the ones i made myself soon as i get a chance. im really sorry about that. i will use my launcher, its not that i cant do that myself. i posted the first miui theme for evo 3hrs after i flashed it...i made the ones for my launcher way back then...i will kang to save time,not to steal cred for others work. i dont care about credit for w/e i do, i care about providing more choices for users.
my folders look like this, but figured more would like yours(less over the top)
mine are just a black onyx style
also, i never ran your theme; i really dont like the iphone style so i tried to change everything about the looks because i like the speed of miui,not the iphone feel. i cant give pps the launcher i use cus its paid, so i tried to just get rid of the wood crap. i will up my launcher because of this issue. i search xda but i do not keep up with everything and i never looked @ yours because i was going another route with my themes for miui. mine are metal based, yours are ios....once again im sorry for not giving credit but either way i could redo the whole launcher in the time it took me to write this, and a new folder would take a few seconds.

im on it, fam keeps me busy....halloween was fun though ....im working on it now, ill link you as soon as i finish in a bit.

just finished update. below ive posted some screens of the launcher edits i just made:
will be up after some friends finish testing....also testing kernels. this update is made to flash over 1.29miui build.if you want to flash the whole rom pm and ill link you for testing.
if you would like to test:
you will need to wipe then flash the rom and report your findings.
