There seems to be too many ROMs and too little themes!! It's becoming hard to find a ROM with the HTC lockscreen, I was wondering if anyone had made a flashable zip for it...
If no one has hooked you up by the time I get home, I'll make one for you.
Just push HtcLockscreen.apk to /system/app/HtcLockscreen.apk
Once you go vanilla you never go back.

Problems hooking it up to my computer, if it's a big bother I'll just get it done later.
And I went vanilla and went back! I actually wish more ROMs would get rid of it. I never use mute, and I don't like the vibrating/sliding at all....but that's just personal preference.

PS - I have seen this requested on other ROM threads, which is why I asked, I am hoping it won't be done for myself alone...
It's no big deal. I will do it as soon as I can get the wife off the computer.
My very first flashable zip thats not a bootscreen. Just tried it out and it worked perfectly for me.

i just tried pushing through over aloysius 2.0.1 and it slowed down my phone tremendously. i think i had an autokiller FC, but the message cleared before i could confirm it. my text messaging widget took forever to load, and it took about 2 minutes to load up my contacts through the people app.
is this a 2.1 lockscreen or is there no difference between 2.1 and 1.5 lockscreens?

i tried it again, and then rebooted, it seemed a little slow and laggy the first time, but i think it's working fine now.
here's my next issue: i can't change the lockscreen background. it will not change from the default blurry dots. anyone help with this issue? thanks!
Dell Streak running Streakdroid 1.9
flash went flawless however the lockscreen itself doesn't seem to have any effect on dell streak just continues to go back to the stock lockscreen. In this case dj_steve's build.

Yes they can be used with Sense UI.....most DEVS have updated their ROMs with the latest Rosies that now support LWP.
I've found the least lag with the zoomfield and mystify....although I'm quite partial to NexusMod 2.0
I've got nexusmod going right now and it hasn't seemed to cause any problems. Also Bezier and LiveFireWallpaper seem pretty cool and ran smoothly for me. (these 3 are all from the market)
The maps one is the only one that I might be willing to give up the weather animations for, but I haven't had a chance to try it out while I'm on the road. I'm a bit concerned what it might do as far as lag and battery consumption while buzzing down the highway.

Had to regrettably remove the HtchWeatherWallpaper.apk in systems/app
Everytime coming out of a sleep or unlocking the phone the weather wallpaper effects...kick the livewallper out.

im using DC 2.07 but I did change the rosie along with the lockscreen. im wondering if its not something to do with the fact that I took the HTCLockscreen apk from 2.06 becuase the weather animations dont kick in until you unlock it but the nexus mod dies as soon as I wake up the phone even before unlocking. are you using a clear lockscreen?

I like the Plasma live wallpaper. You can play with the settings to change flow rate, colors, intensity, etc.

Its not the lockscreen... I deleted my lockscreen and use vanilla, but it still doesnt stick on wake up.

Maybe its in the NexusMod apk itself.. You might want to look into that.

nexus mod is the only LWP i think is worth having imo but possibly something within the apk its self could be tweaked to help it stick
Same here, I deleted the weather.apk and flashed the new rosie on darchlegend and nexus does not stick.

Seriously agree, the other ones are pretty nice too, but nexus mod kills it.
ok it is something to do with the clear lockscreen. I went back and pused them one at a time starting with com.htc.resources.apk. still stuck after that, pushed back the clear HtcLockscreen.apk and it wouldnt stick anymore. now I have no idea whats so ever how to fix the problem but that is where my problem lies at least.

I partly agree.. I like the bezier and another one, but i prefer the NexusMod. Im going to pull the apk and see whats the difference.

HEy everyone ive been messing with this for a while now and after last nite i got my hopes up about lwp working and i tried every rom with EVERY fix and none would stay for good(AHHH!) and i got a patch made by JCASE and ZIFNAB. Our open gl is apparently broken. This is a patch and a lib we are missing. Nexus lwp works, NOT nexus mod NEXUS, and YES they stick. PLEASE: IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO INSTALL LIVEWALLPAPER PICKER,DO NOT POST(looking for fixes i read about 4001 stupid posts about not being able to choose lwp from menu). If you cant get that step than i cant help you. Well I think this has been the issue. I have not tested this for days it i just got it last nite and tested since, along with all the cool new roms. Well i have not tested with the sense setup,i was too excited to run it. ill report back later, just wanted to let ppl that want them working as much as myself to know about this....Tested by myself, FURY and OBELISK... IDC if you beleive me or not, i wouldnt beleive me w/o trying it either. And of course if your phone explodes that wasnt me...also Fury and Obelisk tested with neo and fps drops for some reason, prolly cus its not for our device While it could it could use some work, so im really happy with it....ill get it working with sense and post back. Maybe polish the patch a little if we can.....anyone?????

Finally a claim that seems to be valid after a bit of testing. Not extensive testing by any means but NexusMod LWP has "stuck" longer than any of the "LWP enabled" roms have for me. Although like obelisk mentioned they can be somewhat choppy at times. Nexus Launcher looks like it might finally be usable as well which is a bigger victory imo .
Does this mean that launcher2 will work with the desired effects of icons curving and disappearing into the distance at the top and bottom of the screen? Someone test please.

If Darch still has a copy of his original AOSP 2.1 (the one that needed a new boot image flashed to make the 3d gallery work better) this was done in the boot.img without any file patching. I no longer have a copy of it, and can't remember the exact steps I took to get them working.
Hopefully he still has an archive so the trick can be tried with the .29 kernel.

I hope so. All I remember is part of it was blocking the DRM and crash folders in init.rc, but I'm sure there was more to it than that.
just pushing libgsl.so is working great after reverting /system/lib/egl back to stock. the only one not working this way is galaxy. but Gallery3D works like it should now.

I saw damages newest release yesturday, so i put this little mod together for myself so i could check it out. I can never just flash the plain rom anymore, w/o modding it first, so when im done i just take out the paid apps and then ul for others that may like it. pps were asking me for a green mod so this is what i did. Its damage, just skinned with a new rosie,htc weather clock,themed lockbar,status bar header,status bar bottom, and changed font to comfortaa. I also fixed my EVO modded main nav scroller.Make sure you check out the new suped up dconfig ui. its sharp.

Yeah, i can do that, i used to hate the factory rosie but now i love it because i can do SO many things to it. To a mod freak like me, thats where its @. The other rosie is pretty basic. I like to replace it using my own shapes, but if you want it what color? my buddy drew wants it too. Colors are pretty limited to Black or a type of green between dark green and neon green. Lemme know. Glad you like it.

The easiest way to do that and the way i do, is to get ur setup perfect, then nandroid. Verify the nandroid. WIPE. Flash the new rom. Set it up to ur liking. Nandroid. REPEAT(this requires some space on sd and hd to backup).I wish it was that easy. If i could whip them up id have every color When i have some inspiration, ill be working on a blue next, if i have time maybe ill try and spit out two themes @ once. pm you when its/they are finished.
Like i explained in ops, i setup the whole rom so you get everything working the way its supposed to. Easier on everyone. If you dont like my work, just nandroid.You wont need it any time soon though

You can get it but on phone it is rather difficult to dl a 180mb file w/o corrupting the dl by slow data transfer speeds & combo of what type of sd you have it saving to. I can gurantee it works from pc and that is your best bet. I cant count the roms ive dl'd but never once have i dl'd with phone directly. I actually assume it would not complete and just waste my time. Sorry about that. If i knew another way id gladly share. If you have any other issues ill try my best to get you up and running.

Download and rename to .zip.
You can then open it with 7zip or winrar and peek inside.

For a theme newb, can you explain how to install these? (I just tried flashing the zip from inside recovery but that bombed out, and when I just save the apk files on my sd card and try to set the wallpaper, it doesn't 'see' them.

These work great on Fresh 3.2.0.0, thanks. I'd also like the boot animation, but it has the Motorola logo at the beginning. I wonder if anyone can modify it to remove that.

Use a file manager like Astro to open the apk's and it will install like any other program. Once you do that they'll be in the list of available live wallpapers.
I get FC's on all of the as well on CM6
Works great on my stock EVO. Envy of the office.
I got the lightspeed one installed, but couldn't get it to jump to lightspeed. The R2D2 and Space Slug FC'd. Got to see them on a buddy's N1 though, and honestly they're kinda dumb anyway.
They worked for me on BakedSnack, but they're all really ****ty. I wouldn't bother.

Yeah... the only 2 I enjoy is the falcon driving through the asteroids and rd2d that you can move around by tilting the phone
lightspeed and d2 are the best even though there not that great... i expected more

i just hated the wood so i replaced it with metal. i liked the speed of this rom but still missing too many features of cm6 for my taste. i can appreciate it though and will be working on it. it includes working hulu with all the fixes and i themed the kb to match. enjoy

my cmsettings, and cmparts that let me edit and control everything w/o modding. an app drawer,setcpu working;no kernel yet.power options for reboot are missing as well.
if i continue to use i have a few more ideas to add. the launcher is rather lame as well. i feel like i lost tech switching from adw,however it is so fast, not sure if that was the rom itself or adw sucking ass.

its a bunch of framework edits. lemme see what is changed in the update and ill make a new one. i doubt the framework was edited so, it shouldnt be hard. dont have a ton of time, my girls in the hospital; gotta go see her.....

so you use luancher pro instead of the stock MIUI launcher, what's the diff.
Screenshots in the OP are corrupt - not showing up. I'd definitely like to see how this looks, someone post a screeny!

are you viewing from a computer or your phone, if on the pc i can see them just fine.

not sure where youre viewing from but they show up on all 7 of my pc's and both evo's and my hero. might want to try another pc. i can verify that they are not corrupt; if they were no one else could see them either and pps wouldve requested pics by now, or just said hey no pics are showing up.

flash over an existing 1.05 install or directly after 1.05 before reboot from recovery.
thx man...i flashed and still got the gift box lock screen...did i do something wrong? All else is outstanding so far!! Can't wait for more!!
Is there a trick to get the volume to work?
flashed on the 1.08, some of it appears to work, however my red carbon swype is gone, give's it a black them, which can be bad since when it's guessing which words you mean you can't see some of them since they are black on black, lol, but mostly it's not bad other then that and the lock screen was my last one i had, lol, can you make a clear theme such as like Riptides9 he did for froyo, that would be sick.

My lockscreen didnt either so im not sure.

I'm not fond of the launcher MIUI comes with but I like everything else so I just use launcher pro..

After you install launcher pro just click on the home button twice and it will bring up the select screen..make sure to check off 'make default' and choose launcher pro
