I-Mate JAM Problem - General Questions and Answers

I have a problem with my I-Mate JAM, It loads the OS.. but after everything Installs it converts to the BootLoader screen, and remains unuseable.
If I rest the phone, it loads straight to the Bootloader screen, but if I take off the Battery cover, leave it for a few seconds, then replace it and turn the phone on... It will load the OS setup again, but go back to the BootLoader.
So how can I fix this, and what must I do? Please help me ASAP. The Rom/OS is Windows 2003 SE.
Thanks

HP Ipaq h6315 Will not go into the OS - Freezes on bootup!

Hey guys!
While working on my PPC this weekend, I noticed that the system froze while just trying to open NYDITOT Virtual Display.
I tried doing a soft reset and after doing so the system freezes at the "Welcome to T-Mobile" bootup screen and it does not go into the OS (windows Mobile 2003 "Non-SE")
I tried pushing the soft reset button with the device OFF, without the battery, without the sim card, and nothing seems to work.
I cant even re-load the original ROM as Active Synch doesnt see the device due that I dont get into the OS.
Now luckely for me, T-mobile advised that i only had a 3 month warranty with them, which of course "expired" so i was hoping someone could suggest something that might help me resolve this problem.
Any help will be greatly appriciated.

Jasjar has gone to Rom Setting & I have no installation or WM5 CD

Hi All, excuse this, I have tried everything else including the i-mate site who leave alot to be desired ( I was goin through the process of upgrading my Jasjar to WM6 & did not follow the instructions asa you do... My Jasjar has now totally reset itself back to the basic screen without windows installed so it seems, all I get is a blank unpowered screen with v1.00 at the bottom, have tried plugging it into my USB port, which just says it does not recognise it. I have also lost my WM5 CD, so can't even restore from there.. can anyone advis me what to do next.... i'm pulling my hair out (what little of it I have )
Thanks
NP
Just restart the OS load, try in with the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe , and that is it!
Oh happy days!! Logged into the main screen this morning & there it was, reseting your device from bootloader screen.... Now to upgrade to WM6
Where would all of us Mr Average PDA users be without you guys!
Thanks

Is my S200 beyond repair?

After I tried to upgrade the rom to WM6, my JAMin got stuck at bootloader. After that, I tried to flash WM5 roms without success and suddenly (after a reset) the screen became white with some horizontal and vertical lines constantly moving. I discovered that it was only the screen that was garbled as it still connected to PC, so I installed (without seeing anything on my JAMin) the NVID ROM trying to restore it. It installed sucessfully, but the screen remained garbled with the white background and random lines. I know it was sucessfully installed because I heard the typical "welcome" sound before configuration.
Do you know any way to restore the screen? Or must I send it to I-Mate to repair?
You can try and reattach the screen cable to the rest of the device, but this will boid any warranty you have, and may damage your device further. If the device is under warranty, I would suggest flashing the ROM the device came with (unfortunately the FTP server is down at the moment, so it might take some fishing around for) and sending the device back to get repaired properly.

Hi frd,
I have exactly the same problem!
Nothing , only the f*** white screen!
I can browse the device via active sync, can rcv calls but the white screen.
I have checked the ribbon connector of the LCD and make reflashing some ROMs but nothing.
I still wondering is it hardware or software problem!
Please let me know if you have progress!
Thanks
G.
Try to replace LCD module, I think thats right way.
It will be a hard ware problem. Probably the ribbon cable as the screen is showing something so it must be working at least a bit.
Hello,
i have the same Problem with my QTEK S200.
First i changed the Rom and it worked perfectly for two days.
Then i had to change my Sim card and after that the problem came again.
I tryed a lot of times to reflash the rom but the problem persist.
How can it be that it worked again for some days ?!
is it the touchscreen of the lcd unit i have to replace ?
is it possible to do it by my self ?
thanks for your help !
Hi everyone.
I had a similar problem an hour ago (Qtek S200 G3):
I Upgraded to a 6.1 rom and then to another, after that my device was stuck in bootloader(3 colour screen). Any 6.1 rom that I tried would install, but after installation device always boot in to the 3 colour screen.
I tried this original shipped rom http://files.mail.ru/HZUAH1 (it's WorldWidwEnglish) (to download just click the link "скачать" or the file name RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_QtekWWE_Ship.exe
) and it installed!!! It TAKES A WHILE TO INSTALL!!! But it worked!!!
May want to try it.
Hope this helps.
hello,
picture on screen was immediatly clean again ( bootload image ).
it was impossible to change the rom because i have a G4 model.
i flashed the rom with another french rom for G4 and it worked perfekt.
now i tried to remove the battery again for 3 seconds and now i have the same problem again. really strange ....
i tryed the same procedure again but no success.
I reinstalled differents rom's again starting always installation from bootloader.
After about 10 new installations i've clean picture again.
now i'll not put off, restart, or take of battery till one of you know what's the problem.
Thank you for your help !!
are you guys sure its not an intermitant hardware problem, it sounds like it to me. if yu were able to get a clean picture for a short time and now its white again, it cannot be the rom? As for replacing it, nothing is impossible and there is always ebay and google
QTEK S200 G4 CID unlock

For G4 CID unlocking, you need to user Hard/Soft SPL.

My Sda dont power on... but show the tmobile logo?????????

HI, the problem is that phone dont start, what happens is that when attempting to turn it only shows the Tmobile logo for a few seconds, then turns off and comes back the logo, and definitely off, the LED light dont turns on but displays the logo when power on the cellphone!!!!!!!!!!
I appreciate your help
Step 1:
It could be a problem with the battery - reboot while the charger is connected
and/or let the battery charge fully before turning on the device. Use a different battery if you can get for a try-out.
Step 2:
Remove the SD card, sometimes a faulty card prevents the boot.
Step3:
If the boot does not go to the operating system, then also the settings in the OS may prevent a clean boot. This is very unusual, but you could try to reset the device to the "out of the box" settings (hard reset). You will loose all data and installed programs on the device though in that way.
Step 4:
If the OS is corrupt (how could that happen?) you may want to re-flash the operating system. Take the last available official ROM for that - you will not have to deal with any "special" unlocking stuff. Needless to say that you will also loose everything on the device.
Hi
I have this problem too. T-Mobile SDA Music Edition (Tornado) starts to T-Mobile logo and turn off. I read a lot about it and I think its corrupted after flashing to WM6 (it was'nt my phone). When I write to TeraTerm "info 2" it looks like its CID locked...
Is it enough to return to the original WM5 ROM??
If yes, wher can I find it??
Edit:
I found t-mobile SDA ROM in this post:
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php/1035146-SDA-ROM-disappeared-from-HTC-site-Why
but it didn't help:/
Edit:
It works After second flashing SDA alive. First time don't work because battery

[Q] HTC Mogul 6800 stuck on three-colored screen?! Help?!

I was updating my phone from windows mobile 6.1 to one of Ryan Moguls 6.5 updates today. Everything worked alright, it turned on, loaded everything, but only stayed on for about a minute. After soft resetting it a few times it is now stuck on the three colored screen. I've tried hard resetting it (the prompt comes up, I hit yes), but then it just goes back to the same three colored screen. The screen says:
TITA100
SPL-1.2.Olipro
& then at the bottom it says Serial.
I've tried putting wm 6.1 back on it, but I keep getting error 290.
I would REALLY love some help!
I managed to use the microSD method to get windows 6.5 & the needed radio for it. My problem now is that it is stuck in a reboot loop. It'll stay on for about a minute and then reset. I figure it is because I need olipro 2.40, but i have a 64-bit computer that won't support it. Any suggestions?
