No service - help - Touch Cruise General

Hi,
I'm having trouble with my HTC Touch Cruise.
A couple of days ago I noticed that I couldn't connect the phone to a service provider. Next to the antenna symbol there is a "!" mark and on the today screen there is "no service". I tried both manual and auto connecting but same problem. Meanwhile I did a hard reset and reinstalling the original rom but still the same problem.
I also tried another sim card but yet again, no service.
Also the orange led next to the speaker that flashes doesn't do it any more.
Can someone help me?
Thx

Is the phone new or is it second hand ? Sounds like its blocked some sellers report them stolen a week or two after being sold to get a new phone. This Happend to me on ebay .

No, was a new phone. I had it for about a year now. And besides de camera decoloring I haven't had any problems.
The only thing I did before I noticed this problem was putting my simcard in another phone for testing. When I put it back the problem accurd.
In my opinion that won't be the reason.
Because the orange led doesn't flash
I'm overseas now and tomorrow I will test in another country.

[Q] HTC G1 unlocked no reception

I got a used G1 almost a year ago, unlocked it so I could use it with AT&T and it had been working without any trouble until this past Sunday. I was running 1.6 for the longest time and never got around rooting it or installing mods. Suddenly, after I was on the phone for 2 hours, the G1 stopped receiving service. It was normal for the phone to drop service for a moment because of where I live, but after a couple seconds I usually get service again. I didn't.
I swapped out my SIM to an older phone and I was able to get service. So I figure it probably isn't a SIM card problem.
So I put the SIM back into the G1, browsed through the phone to see what was wrong and suddenly found that I had an "update all" button for the market. That's a feature only in 2.2, not in 1.6. I checked online to see if there were any updates to 1.6, but didn't find anything. I had no service, but a feature not in 1.6 on my phone.
After several hours of having no service, I decided to root my phone and install Cyanogen Mod 6. I thought maybe updating the phone might fix the problem. Hours later, I got CM6 up and running and used my brother's SIM to activate my Google account. It just so happened that when I was activating the phone, I had a small window of reception. After that, no service.
Monday I went to the AT&T store to see if they could help and my phone suddenly worked inside the store. I left it there for 15-30 minutes and service didn't drop, so I thought it was fixed. I left and just as I got home, my phone stopped working. So I drove back to the AT&T store to get a new SIM. Sad part is, my phone has service in the store. Again. I just don't get service anywhere else.
I got the new SIM, but I still didn't get service. My brother suggested that the antenna cable might be loose. So yesterday I went to pick up a screwdriver set that had the right size torx bits so I could open up the phone. The cables looked fine, but I pulled them out and plugged them back in. That didn't fix the problem. I still didn't have service.
Late last night, at the CS club at school, a guy with a G1 on T-Mobile put his SIM into my phone to see if it would work. After 5 minutes, my phone was able to connect. So I swapped my SIM back in, but no service. My G1 can see the networks. Right now, I can see AT&T under "Available Networks", but every time I try to connect, it says, "Unable to connect to this network at this time. Please try again later."
I'm using a spare phone right now, but I'd really love to have my G1 working again. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Same Problem
If it makes you feel any better.. 7 months later and I have the same issue. Been scouring the internet and XDA for hours without any resolution. Maybe AT&T is dumping IMEI #'s for devices not in their lineup? Older AT&T Sims seem to work though which is strange. Maybe this bump will get us some kind of response.

[Q] help with spontaneously unrecognized SIM card

Ok, I'm going to give you guys the whole background story just to cover all the bases.
I've had a Nexus S for about 6 months, never had a hitch. Rooted it, etc etc all fine and dandy.
About two weeks ago, I updated it to CM 7.1 RC1. So far so good.
I've always had the same Vodafone SIM card, which has accompanied me through a couple of phones. Last week, I went to London and bought a UK pay as you go card, to use data without roaming. Perfect. No problems whatsoever.
So, to make it clear, I never had problems with my original (portuguese) SIM card, nor with the british one I had just bought.
However, it was upon my return that I realized I had forgotten my SIM card at my friend's house. I quickly stopped by the Vodafone store at the airport, where they promptly gave me a new SIM, ready to use within a couple of hours.
Since then, my phone after a short period of being on, spontaneously fails to detect the SIM card/no longer recognizes it. I've tried scanning for networks in the settings, but it won't let me register again. It takes a reboot to get it working. Thing is after a couple of minutes or hours, it happens again.
I have since exchanged the new SIM card with a newer one , also from Vodafone, albeit a different store. Yet, the problem persists.
I didn't alter any settings between Portugal-UK-Portugal, so everything should be exactly the same. Does anyone know how to solve this or why this happens?
Faulty phone?
Faulty radio?
Faulty SIM cards?
ROM bug?
Any help is appreciated.

[Q] Activation Issue

Hey there,
I recently bought a Charge from swappa.com. I have 6 months left on my contract from when I bought my Incredible, but that thing barely works anymore. The Charge came without a SIM (unsurprisingly), so I took it into the Verizon Wireless store and they gave me a SIM. The phone sat on the Setup Wizard with a dialogue box saying "please wait..." with a spinner, for about 20 minutes, then got to a screen with a "Phone Activation" header that says "There is a problem with activating your phone. Please restart and try again, or contact customer service." I click restart, and that doesn't solve the issue (it just does the same thing).
I've been wrestling with this thing for two days now. The guy at the VZW store called support, and they went through five different people who didn't know what to do, and finally they put in a request for support that apparently will be resolved indeterminately. The ESN checked out fine, and the SIM card is fine (we even tried a second SIM card). It can reach the servers fine (if I hold down the search button I can do a voice search and it browses the web as if nothing were wrong). Unfortunately, my phone number is in the air (it's been pulled from my old phone and won't hit this phone).
I was wondering if anyone had some insight on this problem.
Thanks!
Same thing is happening to me. I have to flash back to stock in case I have to go back to the store and figure this out. Crap. I tried different sim cards and she couldnt get either to work. Ok I flashed back to stock so when I take it in I dont have a problem but I cant get through the process because of no signal and it shows a date and time as december. Is that because the ee4 file I flashed was from december?
LOL data network issue supposedly. Network down.
I just bought a used droid charge and ran into this exact same issue. After a few hours of reboots and battery pulls, I held down the power key to turn off the phone and noticed an option to activate data networks. after turning on 4g, i was able to activate my device perfectly. Hope this helps someone.

No signal

Good day, today I dropped my phone don't know if it lost signal after this didn't notice until I tried to make a phone call but now there no signal, can't make or receive calls, I notice that at the bottom of the screen it shows my service provider name and next to it says no service so don't know it its hardware related or sim, do you think that if I reset the phone it might work again? Thanks. Right now can't test because I'm at work, but in general information on service it says disconnected
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda premium
Flash stock with fastboot, if it's the same, it's hardware I'm afraid.
Thanks a lot did already, tried everything seems hardware related, noticed that it also lost nfc connection wondering rich part should I replace to fix it, if only has to do with antenna or the whole mainboard
The NFC radio and antenna are connected to the back cover. Try popping your back cover off and on again.
Dihantar dari Nexus 5 saya dengan XDA-Free mobile app
Thanks already did and nothing, could it be related to some other piece?
go to your dialer app and type in #*06*# and see if a number pops up (your imei number) (dont post the number here)
Did too, also the *#*#4636#*#* and checked if signal was turned on, tried sim in other phones works without problems, I noticed that nfc is not working too, guess it has to do with a piece of hardware as far as I know both antennas are in the back of the phone. Took it to service and they told me it has no problem physically, this is driving me crazy
Also checked that it has no reports of being stolen, imei seems correct and legit checked it also on a site to see if it's valid and its working, it starts with a 32.
My phone wouldn't connect to any network after being in airplane mode on vacation for a week, acted like no signal - empty triangle instead of bars. I called my cell provider (T-Mobile) and after a new SIM and a factory reset they did something on their end because my phone was trying to connect to a tower that didn't exist. I'm a little fuzzy on what they actually did, but it worked. I actually had to do it twice over a couple weeks before it stopped giving me trouble.

Hello
Hello guys, I am on the same boat as Valholy described.
My phone fell on the ground from my hands. When I took the phone from the ground... it was still working(it wasn't shutdown nor restart), I only noticed that there was no more signal. Tried to restart/shutdown, factory reset, different sim card but no luck at all... As Valholy described it shows provider's name on the bottom of the screen, but there is no signal yet.. It seems like hardware issue. Any recommendation to fix this issue?
Did you fix your phone yet, Valholy?
Thank you
bump...
any help please.
thank you

OnePlus ONE issue after RMA to Support Center

Hi all,
open this thread to share with you my experience.
I hope that someone could help me.
My OPO, 1 year and few months old, always was working fine.
One morning switch on my phone and I see on display the message "battery too low. charge a wile before use" etc etc.
I start to see on web forum, try some solutions but nothing. Then I open an RMA to oneplus support...and here start the nightmare for me.
Two days and DHL arrive to pick-up my phone. After 2 days I se on ARVATO web site (ARVATO is the warranty center for OnePlus) that my phone is out of warranty becouse there was wather inside! What??!! They send me pictures of the motherboard and battery connector and it is obvious that the problem was battery that released acid.
So, after 2 weeks fighting with the oneplus support, I decide to give up with the warranty and ask to send me back my phone without fix the problem.
I think, i buy a new battery and change it with my hands.
After almost 2 months my phone come back in my hands. I open the phone, change the battery and it start without problem.
YeaH! I win! ...no, I lose becouse after the RMA and OnePlus support, my phone now works fine with wifi, with all connections type but when I insert sim card I have not operator signal.
I tryed to change sim, to reset the phone, to flash the rom, to check if connector are all inserted fine in the motherboard...nothing.
My ohone now doesn't get signal. The sim card is detected fine becouse the phone ask me pin code at the boot and if I scan the operator modile network I find the Italian mobile operator.
But, when I try to register my sin on the network, I get error and phone is killed out.
Move the sim on another phone all working fine.
I think that OnePlus warranty center had blocked my phone or something like this.
Do you have an idea? what could be the problem and how can solve it?
Thx to you all
