spv c600 not starting - HTC Tornado

hello everybody.i have a problem with my spv c600.i bought it few days ago.i had installed some apps on it and next morning my phone was off, althought the battery was full.i made hard reset for three times and the phone started.but this is happening every morning from then.and now i can`t make hard reset.after it asks me to press 0 key shows orange screen and after that turns off.sometimes shows the windows mobile screen but only that and turns off.i don`t understand what is the problem...is it software or hardware problem?
can someone tell me what can i do?i want my phone back...i like it to much
sorry for my bad english

i`m not sure if i posted to the correct section but no one can`t help me?

Try to enter Bootloader (hold camera button and shortly hold Power).
After Bootloader started, you need reflash official ROM.

it enters in bootloader but it stays only 3 seconds and after that turns off.i`m going crazy....i don`t know what to do...is it the battery the problem?but last time when it worked the battery was full
other ideas?

try other battery, or try turn on without battery only power cable plugin.

the same thing without baterry.it stays 3-4 second and after that turns off.which is the problem?
and i don`t understand what is with the led colour.when i put the phone to charger the light is red...i try to make hard reset but the phone turns off and and one cuple of times...the led color becomes orange and green sometimes...
so?what is going on?

can someone help me please?

I think that it is hardware problem. Before am I bought my HTC Tornado, I had Sony Ericsson P900 and after 2 years using suddenly he after power on he stopped at the introductory animation. So I gave it to the service and told me that is it a problem with the motherboard. Your SPV C600 looks that is on it similar.

and what happend with your tornado?

With my Tornado nothing. The hardware problem was in my Sony Ericsson P900. In service told me that is it a problem with the motherboard and that the correction would cost cca 850$ . So I declined correction and bought HTC Tornado, which still works .

oh..thanks anyway.i think i will go to service with my spv...

wow it didn`t started for 2 days and now is working like is new.i don`t understand...where is the problem?

it worked only 2 hours and after that it was dead again

what can i do to fix this problem.it`s ok to change the rom?

fixed.i sold the phone

JAM is dead ..Creash no power just blank screen

Hi all ,
I was updateing my JAM ROM with USB.. everything work fine.. but i guess i had upload Arbic ROM on PM-10A which support WWE, after upgrade my JAM was keep rebooting so i try to download WWE ROM from imate FTP and meanwhile i Remove Bettery of my JAM and once i install battry back they is no power nothing just blank screen. seems bootloader gone? is there chance i can repair.. i do NOT have warrnaty on it , service center say they need to change MotherBoard. is there any other way i can reload bootloader and then upgrade orignal ROM?? pls. help........( SORRY for MY English as i m Arbic Native ).[/b]
Don't know why you removed the battery. What happens when you do the soft or hard-reset? Tried pressing power & camera & soft-reset at the same time for some secs, till bootloader should appear? I don't think it's really broken as you said it was loading the OS whili you removed the battery.
Cheers, M
I think the bootloader itself can get corrupted whilst doing the upgrade..but only when using a 'modified' ROM...
I did the same thing to mine back in the time when BigStorage was the in thing.
My JAM was totally dead like yours and I did have to send it back to service center.
But saying that, I recently had forgot to charge the battery (whilst doing a ROM upgrade) and everything went totally dead then too- i was worried that I had fried the device one again- but I left it to charge overnight (initially there were no LEDs of any sort), the next day, the amber/yellow LED was lit- did a hard reset and things were back to normal.
I don't think any sort of factory ROM would 'fry' your device- it's only because I tried to modify the bits for BigStorage that led to a corrupt bootloader and therefore a dead device.
Like 'oltp' says- it seems highly unlikely that your device is totally dead.
tnx for reply guy's, i did Tried pressing power & camera & soft-reset at the same time for some secs.. but nothing comeing on screen.as you said may be bettery is not charged as when i stared ROM update i had 50% charged. now when i try to charge with USB no LED.. .. but some how i do not belive service center guy.. that " board burn" need to change board as i have just done ROM update from IMATE web. but tomorow i ll get it back from service center and give try with new battery and let you know ppl..
I really wish you all the best & I do think those guys do know & try everything. They just replaced mine as it was really dead two weeks ago.
Too bad you're not having so much luck.
Cheers, M
hi all ,
Finally my JAM is up and Running without changing Mboard. as i suspect it was battery problem I borrow my friend full Charged battery and did Boot loader with Cam+Power+SoftReset and then connect with USB and reload ROM and now it up and running fine .. and then i replaced with my original battery
Great to hear that.

M600/Prophet dead to the world!

Hi all, I need a little help!
Got an Orange SPV M600 - Had old rom - Upgraded to WM6 rom, all worked sweet. Tried to do a CID unlock using awizard1.2 (Left it alone for a while to do its thing) not i cant get it to turn on at all.
1. Tried a master reset - Camera + Comm Mgr + soft reset (Nothing happens)
1a. Tried Camera and softreset too (nothing happens)
2. Tried Charger short to Pins 1 and 5 (nothing happens)
3. Left battery out for 24 hours (Nothing happens)
I have bricked the device! - Is there anything else I can do except go back to orange or htc service dept and ask for help?
Cheers
Hi!! Where did you get the WM6 rom for SPV M600??
Have been looking for ages!!
killian1407
Go to Tonydeli7 thread on upgrading. Go & flash the WM5 NVID version.
Then download your choice of WM6 version from PDAviet.
Dogs Nads mate. I unlocked my £75 eBay SPV M600 (courtesy of the gang) to use on Vodafone company chip, but the stock crappy grey background on the Orange WM5 fone dialer skin is total toilet..Just cant been seen on windscreen mount in my car. Follow the rules written by the guys (actually went a lot quicker than the 15-20 ,mins)..JOB DONE!
..PROPR BO I TELL THEE!!
M600 Still dead!
I have been waiting an age for someone to reply to my post with a solution but non has turned up.
Still have the problem but now its gotten a whole lot worse.
1. Plugging the M600 into the wall charger I get a red led that stays on for about 10 seconds, then goes out and nothing else happens - If I then unplug the phone and plug it back in again there is no red led. If I leave the phone unplugged over night then plug it into the power I get a red led for 10 secs then nothing.
2. Have chopped a charged and tried the pin 1 white and pin 5 other cables method but I still get no response. I have tried all combos of stylus and buttons but I just cant make this device respond.
I have just about given up hope of ever resurrecting this thing!
Is there anything else I could try?
Thanks.

No more bootloader no more nothing, after rom upgrade s200

Hi All,
I've tried to upgrade the ROM of my QTEK S200.
It got completely stuck!!! I had to remove the battery. Now it stays black. Even a hard-reset does nothing. No bootloader, no white screen, nothing. It's like the device doesn't recognize the battery anymore. Same problem with another battery. When I connect the power supply, the light stays red for 5 seconds and then goes out again. No charging (orange) light.
Does this mean that the device was short-cutted (hardware problem) or can this be fixed with some manipulation?
Anybody an idea how I can fix the hardware (if broken) myself? Can't be to difficult if it just blew a fuse ;-)
Thanks
If the accu not charge, I think he is dead. You need a new one. For flashing new rom, you need a good acco over 50 %. Than you go to bootloader modus and flash a WM5 Rom WM5Rom.

Yep, hes dead alrite, make a good paper weight sorry bro...
not the battery
of course I tried a new battery
same problem
Can you make a downgrade to WM5 ? Ist the battery charged now ?
DC Adapter 4,5 V
I had the same problem.
Remove the battery and connect the pin nr 1 (nearest to the cam) to + and the pin nr 5 to -. I think 3,7 to 5 V is ok. Then bootloader and connect to computer.
Don't blame me if anything goes bad ;-)
how to proceed?
I've tried to do as explained...
I've taken an old charger (5v) and connected the cables (black/white striped to 1 and black to 5). I'm not 100 percent sure about + and -, but normally black is always -, if I'm not mistakin'
What should happen? How should I proceed?
My device does nothing... No light. Power button does nothing, hard reset does nothing.
Does this procedure work with a QTEK S200?
Maybe the charger (old gsm) is too old or broken?
Maybe + is black...
Sooo many options ;-)
Worked on mine S200
Of course You must know if the adapter is working and +/-.
When I connected 1 to + and 5 to - I could operate the mobile as if the battery was mounted and working.
My problem began because the battery isn't charging in bootloader mode.
And I'm still stuck there... Because it's a G4 device flashed with G3 SPL... Anyone got a suggestion how to solve this?

I Did the same thing '''''HELP"""
What you should do
Keep the device on for 2 hours connect it to the electricity.
Install the original rom with the PDA connected like that to the PC, if it does not enter the Rom update continue trying by doing a hard reset with the stylus and pressing the left com button on the left side of the device, then retry the rom install, if it says unable to connect continue trying, using the procedure i explained before, thats what i did when the same stuff happen to me i was without my device working for a month, now i´m using WM6 with the Diamond Rom, so its possible, to do this you just have to keep trying.
my prophet is block and after try of hard reboot is dont turn on.. its not turn on on any way, no detect charger ether ( no red led ) battery was almost full when its go off..
plz help, can i try 1-5 pins solution?

My friend. A few people have tried the pin method and one or two have succeeded. IMHO i would not try it, for fear of frying your phone, yourself or starting a fire.
Take out the battery for a good couple of hours. Take out SIm card and SD card. Put battery back in and try to charge for at least 5 hours, even if the light does not show (might just be LED issue).
Then see if you can start in boot loader, u now how to yes? (keep camera button pressed, soft reset with stylus, then let go of camera button after few sconds). What happens?
pins to power
I've tried connecting the extreme small pins to the (big) cables of the charger but nothing happens over here. The screen stays black.
To All,
Any hints on how to connect these cables to the pins, without the fact that they're constantly coming off the pins and constantly touching other pins?
You try and tell me about your experience ;-)
revive prophet revive ;-)
I was just playing with my qtek when I noticed that after connecting and disconnecting it to the AC for 5 times or so (with red light going on and off for a second), it tries to startup, but drops dead after a fraction of a second. Damned ;-) No chance of going into bootloader.
Almost there ;-))

keep it plugged in for about 5 hours, dont play with it or turn it on lol, give a go unless u have done already and just havent said
Direct Connection to 220v doesn't work
The workaround of connecting the pins directly to the charger doesn't seem to work on a QTEK S200 G4.
Since mine is a G4, I wasn't lucky... I'm left with a cut charger cable.
I'll try to charge it for 5 hours but since no led is going on I don't think this will have any effect.
Listen keep it plug in to the electricity for 12 hours, then try to put it in bootloader mode by pressing the, com button on the left side of the device after you hard reset it, with the stylus after you manage to enter the bootloader mode, you only need to follow the steps described on several posts on the forum.
if nothing works connect the device and try to install the original rom, my device is a g3 so i´m not sure if the g4 works the same way.

Help! My O2 XDA Touch Pro is completly dead!

Hello,
i have a brand new o2 XDA Touch pro. After trying (unsuccessfully) to remove the CID to flash the original HTC Firmware (the O2 Firmware was lame), the XDA went off and is completly dead now. The last thing I was able to see was a strange display behaing (some strange look and fading off).
The phone does not react on pressing the Power-On Button! No reaction!
Can anyone help me or has anyone a hint how to hard-reset the device?!
So far I remember there was a trick by removing the battery for about 24 hours (this worked for my older xda mini s phone). May this work for this phone, too?
Please help me!!!
Best regards
Gabriel
Did you try the old tric to remove the battery and then put it back in? When you do the Hard-SPL it would remove the CID lock. It would seem to go dead and unresponsive as happened with mine. I just removed the battery and put it back in and it powered up fine. Checked the tri-colour boot screen to make sure it was done. It is in the thread for flashing your first ROM.
Hello wildcard,
thanks for your reply.
I already tried removing the battery. Yesterday I tried for about an our and completly off power (no USB Power or PC connected). Still no reaction after trying to power on with battery plugged.
I'll give it another try in about a few hours after leaving the phone powered off about 12 hours. So far the phone seems completly dead! I would be glad even to see any light / display going on with try-color mode, but anything keeps powered off after battery connected and giving the power-on button a try.
Best regards
Gabriel
UPDATE:
Phone still completly dead / no-power on possible after 12 hours power-off / no battery!
Tried several key-combinations for soft+/hard reset with battery and/or USB-Power even with plugging in while pressing the keys including power-on. NO Reaction
How can this be??? May it only be possible to send it in to O2?
I was unable to complete any CID unlock / HTC Firmware update on the O2 device. They stuck always on 0% or failed before this step and until that time the phone always rebooted into WM6 after battery removal. So I don't think O2 could blame me for doing anything wrong... and I don't understand why there is not even Power for Bootloader mode possible. I don't think that any software could harm the hardware in such a way that not even power-on is possible??!
Any ideas of developers to reanimate the phone? I will try keep power of for a few days now until I go to O2 with the phone...last try. For a XDA Mini S i owned once (that phone has been unlocked too), this worked once it had a similar failure... maybe I have luck in 2-3 days with my TouchPro phone.
Best regards
Gabriel
I am thinking that you may really need to send it in to O2. Might be your best bet, let's hope some one more ducarted than I am chimes in.

Same here !!!
I had this same problem with my device already TWICE..... in two weeks. I bought my phone, installed what i need.... in first week phone got dead overnite.... no charging light, no reset, nothing.... I put in on warranty repair.... after it came back the statement said that what I said did not appear so they reflashed it to newer ROM only....how I don't know when the phone was completely dead... I again installed all I need a next week after happened the same!!!! At evening phone was charged full and at morning it was dead. So second time i put it on warranty repair and they said that is my problem, that I should not install any another apps from MS store !!!! I mean what the F**K, I buy overexpensive phone and I should use it without additional apps from MS store??? then I need only Nokia from 1990 and I'll be set to phone and write sms My 8X is still in repair so we will see what will happen next time.... but to say truth, I'm fed up with this phone already...
Just happened to me few days ago with the battery at about 10%. after i totally gave up and ready to send it for warranty repair. After a day, it started again as the battery was fully drained. it seems that the phone freezed somewhere with the screen off and the only trick was to drain the battery. no key combination was working and no charging lite. It could be so easy if the battery was accessible, unfortunately it's not ((

over two days the battery ran down prematurely and then refused to charge no charge light phone dead. htc less than helpful now begins the nightmare with Kogan support
Hello,
I searched for died 8X Phones. I have the same problem TWICE with my HTC 8X.
The firstdevice is ran 6 weeks, then the repair center has replaced my phone with a brand new one. After 2 weeks exactly the same problem (no function, no loading, no reset, no connection) with the second one
Have anyone an idea which function or app the phone lets crashing?
I woke up this morning to my HTC 8X being powered down when I know it had at least 45% battery. When I tried to power the device back on it would not come back on. I contacted HTC and they told me to press camera button+vol down+power for fifteen seconds and when the device vibrates to let go of the power button but keep the camera+vol down buttons pressed, when I attempted this nothing happend so the HTC representative on the phone advised me to just send it in for repair. I've owned the phone for a little over a month and a half, was on the latest firmware, and had the phone protected with full body invisible shield and HTC doubleshot case.
Had this problem yesterday...suddenly phone died and nothing
waited till i got home from work and plugged it in to the laptop and it sprang back to life saying it was compleatly out of charge....was showing 80 odd % before hand
