Major Problem. My Screen Wont Turn on! - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hey guys, I had my phone in my pocket today and i pulled it out to look at it and it wont turn so i did a soft reset and still did not turn on all. I can see a faint black shade kind of on the screen. I was able to connect it to my computer and install my mobiler on it and i can see my screen and everything works. There are no cracks on the screen or oil marks or anything. Do you guys just think that the ribbon cable came lose or something? Should i do a hard reset will that help. I am so pissed and nervous right now. I have the ATT fuze but i am not with ATT i bought the phone on ebay unlocked to use it with Tmobile so i would have to send in to HTC right? Can you guys please help me out. Thanks

Backup anything that you need and hard reset to start with. Always start with the simplest solutions first. If not then we'll have to consider that it is a hardware issue.

hard reset does not work. and i can still access the phone using my mobiler any more suggestions?

hmm, well could be that the backlight is burned out too. Since it appears to be a hardware issue, i'd consider having a professional repair service look at it. Sucks it's not under warrent though.

would it be under htc warranty or is att the only ones that would consider the warranty?
EDIT: I am not going to be near a computer for couple hours i will check all the options or suggestions you guys give me after about 8 or 9 hours and then i will respond.

I'm not sure what the warrenty from HTC covers, I bought mine from AT&T and it's insured so i don't know for sure

I have the same problem dude. My phone is for sprint though, its been happening since yesterday and its selective with it. Ok it basically happaned a month or so back where it would show me a blank screen with a faint light on the background like dark typish, i would hit the power button and everything would turn back to normal so i just though it was a glitch. But since yesterday my tp has had a blank screen no matter what i do. I get it to turn on sometimes, i tried hard reset but it didnt do anything. I called sprint and they gave me the htc repair pl number and they told me they would try to help me. Its the weekend i am yet to call them their not open. I dont see how they can help i think its something with the hardware, i have stock everything and i must admit its type slow. Im very scared to flash it to a new rom though cause i dunno which one would be the best.

I sent HTC an email asking if they will have any warranty that the offer since my device is branded to ATT and i do not have service with them and here is the response i got.
"Thank you for your inquiry about your AT&T Fuze.
We understand it is important for your device to function properly. Since the device is branded to AT&T, it is at their discretion to replace the device under warranty. If they will not replace the device because you do not have service with them or for any other reason, HTC can offer repairs for the device. HTC Repair’s number is 1-888-617-1113. The hours of operation for HTC Repair is Monday through Friday 9 AM – 6 PM EST. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause you."
So i am assuming that the answer is no that HTC will not provide any warranty for my device since it is branded.

Guys i am still looking for some help. I called the HTC repair number today and they said that it would cost anywhere between $150 us to $450 us to repair my phone. I took some pictures of what the screen shows in case there is anyone experienced out there or someone that works for HTC repair that might be able to tell me what is wrong.

I suffer similar woes with a brand new device that no one will warranty. I also spoke with people at the HTC repair center (CDMA division) I bought a Sprint branded touch pro and use it on the verizon network. The USB charge/sync port is non-functional and verizon will not warranty it because its ESN is not on their system and Sprint won't touch it because I do not have a line of service with them. HTC will not directly warranty it because I do not have the original purchase receipt I.E. I bought it off ebay. It was fully functional when I got it from the seller and I do not think it is right to try to blame them for it almost two months after I purchased it. Thankfully I bit my tongue and opted for the offered Squaretrade 3rd party warranty from ebay, as they claim they can repair it and have it back to me at the end of the week. That may be an option, but I can not really comment if their warranty is worth anything as it is my first dealing with them.
I would befriend someone on this board who can maybe have it warrantied through ATT or bite the bullet and send it back to htc and hope they can fix it cheaper than a new one.

Is that possible can i some how get my phone registered on ATT network and then claim warranty on it? Would the check IMEI numbers? Can someone with knowledge on this issue or someone that works for ATT comment?

Just made a few phone calls and worked thorough HTC support and HTC America will indeed warranty the phone. So even if you are not ATT you can get warranty on your device directly through HTC.
EDIT: Flashing back all the original stuff now. Is there any way i can check the spl version and rom versions after i flash without entering bootloader? I cant see my screen so i don't know if my mobiler will work while i am in bootloader. Thanks.

how did my mobiler work with bootloader?

How did this work out for you? I also had a problem where the screen just stopped working all of a sudden (I had literally made a call about five minutes prior, then I pulled the phone out of the pocket and for no apparent reason the screen wasn't working). I've been using My Mobile to access the contents of the device, and the device seems to be fine other than the screen. I want to flash back the original ROM and I am afraid of getting stuck somewhere in the process where I have to press something on the screen and it won't work. I don't imagine that My mobile will work given that it accesses the GUI through ActiveSync, and I dont' think active sync will work in the bootloader (I'm not sure exactly what you mean by bootloader, I'm assuming you mean the code which sits below the OS and handles the ROM flashing?)
I attached photos of the phone with the screen "on" and "off." Unlike yours in my case you almost can't even tell when the screen is "on." If you look closely you can see that when the screen is "on" it is slightly illuminated but the difference is so slight that you can't even see it in the pictures.

@JELPERN
hey yeah i had the smae problem at first could not really tell where my screen was either unless its on the after a couple of days i started seeing lines. so when my screen stopped working i had a custom rom so i connected my phone to my computer and installed my mobiler and used the phone for a day or two and then i decided i had to get everything back to normal for warranty. so here is what i did. i first flahed the stock radio and then i checked to see if the radio was on there and it was then i flashed the rom and once i flashed the bew rom normally from the main home screen. then once i had the stock rom my mobiler would not work because i could not get past the align screen but i could hear the att boot up sound so i assumed it was on there also my phone would activesync at the part where i had to align the screen so once i knew i was at the align screen and my phone was activesynced i flahed the SPL i however messed up on this since i did not read the directions on the hard splr thread of how to flash back to stock spl so make sure you read the directions at the bottom of the first post. so once i screwed up the spl my phone would not activesync but i could hear it boot up and everything so i just tooka chance and sent it to HTC and they put a new screen and sent it back without any problems only shipping cost me 12 bucks because i got it insured and stuff. hope this helps leet me knoe if you need anything else

thank god for the att boot sound

I didn't think I'd ever thank AT&T for their annoying boot sound, but I think we've finally found a useful application for it
Thanks for the quick reply, I am going to try restoring the original rom and hope for the best. I did the hard reset already and at this point I have nothing to lose from a functionality perspective; I can't get past the align screen either using My Mobile (although what's infuriating is I can see it, and the crosshairs change positions every so often, although apparently not in relation to my clicking).

yeah i could not connect my mobiler after i put att stock rom so i dont know how you are able to see the align screen on my mobiler. lol But anyways yeah you have nothing to lose. but make sure you do the spl correctly.

This issue of the screen don't responding (in any way) belive or not have happend to me twice... Yes 2 FUZE but thanks GOD I just walk to the ATT customer service and they have replace my unit... BTW both time I have my phone with Winmo6.5 on it... And they don't notice or just dosent want to fight with me about it.

Expansys says my TP upgraded illegally- no warranty

So my TP touchscreen stopped working, and even when I re-booted the stock ROM from HTC, there was no action- I was stopped at the calibration screen. I sent the unit back to Expansys, and I received the following reply.
"Greg,
Hey my repair centers exact words were that the device was upgraded illegally. Thus why the refusal to repair under warranty. The charge is to put back to all factory settings. basically they have to replace the guts of the unit.
Thanks,
Joe Bunch
Customer service Supervisor"
I paid almost $1000 for this phone, and the touchscreen gave up the ghost, now it is the OS smoking the hardware?
Any input would be helpful, as I'm really not sure how this plays out.
Greg
Get the phone back and put everything back to stock like spl and and stuff i had the same problem with my fuze when the screen stopped working i tried my best in guessing and flashed stock rom and stock spl BUT i messed up with the SPL because i forgot to read the directions properly and my device would not activesync any more so i took the risk anyways and sent it to HTC directly since i am not with ATT i cant get a device replacement from ATT. i just got my phone back about 4 days ago and HTC installed a new screen without any problems.
Thanks for the help. Can I send it directly to HTC instead of to Expansys first, because that is how expansys has it set up.

You should be able to Expansys is just a retail seller like ATT and them. So i believe you should be able to send it directly to HTC. Call the number look it up on their websites. If you can not find it let me know and i will look for it again.
Thanks so much for the idea, I'm having Expansys send it back to me, I'll hard-reset the phone, and send it into HTC with my receipt from Expansys.
Greg
Also, you have flashed ROMs and Hard spl on it right? If so i would suggest you try and get the stock ROM that you got with the phone and then try to put stock SPL back. Message me if you need help with what i am talking about.
i contacted htc directly for my european tpro and they are ready to repair my battery drain problem. however, i need to flash stock rom and spl before sending. i am little nervous flashing stock spl - not sure if it would brick my phone or not. once i do this, i can send it to them. i read the first page from hardspl, it looks straightforward - hope it stays that way.

make sure you read towards the bottom of the first post on the hard spl page. There they have specific instructions for returning back to stock spl.
URGENT Info needed
I did that - everything worked fine..... the last step says "to verify, volume down + reset, see version number on tricolour screen, should now just say 1.90.0000". When I tried to do that - I dont see tricolor screen.
In my device info, it says " ROM = 5.05.405.1 WWE"; "Radio = 1.11.25.01" and protocol = "52.58.25.30U".
Does this mean that I fully recovered this to factory settings?
Thanks

Not sure how the law in your countries handles these kind of things. But over here software CANNOT limit warranty. You remember the warning that goes something like this: "this device is designed to handle interference, even if it is harmfull for the device itself." So even when you use your device normally, it can stop functioning, due to it's software.... Does this limit warranty? NO.
What if you installed Photoshop on your laptop and your laptop overheats due to Photoshop heavy CPU usage. Is your laptop manufacturer limiting your warranty? NO. Say you don't like Vista and reinstall XP. Nothings happens to your warranty. That's how warranty works, it is ment for hardware malfunction due to bad design. If your device dies due to some software interference (illegal or not), that's bad hardware design and cannot limit your warranty. Although here in Holland. Not sure how that's abroad.

You should check this out. Companies can say all sort of stuff regarding warranty, but they are not the law (or above the law). Consumers have rights. So go learn and kick Expansys' b*tt with your new learned stuff. I'm almost certain that the US has some homolog law.

ATT Check water damaged phone for ROM

Hi,
I have an HTC Fuze. Currently i have WM 6.5 on it and i have no clue what my stock att rom version was. I have the warranty that covers practically everything like water damage and me just dropping the phone. I am concerned that ATT will be able to tell my rom version even if the phone is broken. If the phone breaks and it will not turn on is there a way for them to tell my rom version? If they can tell can anybody help point me in the right direction for the right stock rom. Thanks.

If you do a insurance claim on the device you pay the deductible and get a new device, they do not check rom info at all. Sometimes you are not even required to return device.
you can rent a wood chipper at home depot.
They DO REQUIRE you to return the fuze. I would flash the at&t stock back on there. It will also wipe out your personal info on it too. I would flash it if ya can, it take like 5 min of your time, just to save a bunch of hassle and potentially causing your ins. claim to be voided since you modded the phone.
I used to work at ATT, they do not require you to return it under certain circumstances. Its usually for insurance returns though.
For example, how would you return a phone if it was stolen?
Most mobile dealers hire people that don't even know what a ROM is in the first place. Ive seen devices taken back that clearly say "SECURITY UNLOCKED" across the top of the boot loader, and thats the screen the phone is stuck on (obviously a bad flash that the n00b didnt know how to fix). Ive even known people to take back water damaged phones and get a customer service rep that didn't even check the LDI to see if it was pink, but gave out a new phone.

AT&T reps...

Well I went to a device service center to exchange my phone for random shutdowns. My phone was running stock and unrooted. When I gave it to the rep to spent about 10 minutes looking at the phone information under the settings menu. He finally look at me and told me that I voided the warranty of the phone. I was like wtf? Then he claimed that KB1 wasn't official and that his computer only showed that jh7 was the only official release... Then he went back to my home screen and claimed that my adw launcher also showed a custom rom...
I kept trying to tell him that kb1 was official and I even turned off the launcher. He was getting pissed and trying to make it seem like he was going out of his way to let me slide. Finally got him to get another phone out of the back and load it and and check the about phone settings... and those phones come loaded with froyo already. He still tried to play it off like he was doing me a favor though. I was like oh crap hes gonna put a mark against my account or something.
What was also funny was that his personal phone was a droid x and he was bragging about how he has a leaked gingerbread rom on it...
So does anyone else have any good atnt stories?
i would talk to his manager. AND call AT&T customer support. get pay-back in dollars and accessories.
Yeah, you really should have told him that you'll be back, then driven your car through the front of the store.
He finally honored my replacement in the end. But like I said he tried acting like he was doing me a favor. I wondering if he put a note or something on my account claiming that my warrenty is voided. Is there anyway to check?
I remem when I got mine replaced. It was because it wouldn't go into recovery at all with button combo. I think this was before the fix, and even before the leaked froyo. I needed recovery to root and install oclf. The guy replaced without any questions asked. But of course he knew exactly what I was trying to do and had even rooted his too

As per AT&T's terms of contract, he IS in fact doing a favor to u. Once u load any custom, u have ur warranty voided. U should always revert to stock before u take the handset to AT&T store, in case u have custom rom on it.
I don't think he would've put anything like that on ur account. Cos had he put a note like that, he wouldn't have exchanged ur phone.

Yeah, what PirateGhost said, he wasn't doing him a favor, just being a **** for the sake of being a ****. Probably gets his rocks off bullying customers because he thinks he's a big tech guru by running a gingerbread leak and raging that he has a desk clerk job instead of some engineering position he thinks he deserves.

there is really no way to getting around bad customer service issues. Sadly only thing we can really do is inform their managers and even that doesn't work out as planned since their more focused on protecting their employees than listening to their customers

Lololol sounds like something I would say
Yah the only time the phone was ever rooted was to flash plumbobs gps fix. That was awhile back. The phone was odin'd back to stock and sent to samsung for repair gps/wifi issues. When I got the phone back from them they loaded 2.2 on it. Since I received it back from samsung I didn't do a thing to it and kept it stock... The phone then developed shutdown issues so I took it to my device center and thats when this started.
It's just that the atnt service center rep didn't know/believe that kb1 was a official version of android for the captivate and he was giving me a hard time about it and my adw launcher. Telling me that my warranty was voided and how the only thing he could do was give me a new battery blah blah blah. He also said that the adw launcher was classified as some form of superuser... lol (He took my phone and showed it to me and he flicked thru my home screens and app menu and kept saying yep this is a custom rom)
It's just funny cause after we gotten the facts straightened out (made him pull a captivate off the shelf and boot it up and look at the phone information) he goes on to show off his droid x with some leaked gingerbread rom....
what a douche. did you call him a douche because i would have called him a douche.

if you complain in the right way you get alot. i do it all the time. i had my telus bill cut in half over bad customer service. i hate telus though. it was always bad customer service. thats why i dont mind paying more than my half bill.
the guy was flat out lying to you or mis-informed either way ATT customer support does not give a crap about protecting a bad store rep. his manager maybe. but corporate NO WAY. then he goes on to show you his voided device? if i was his manager, i would fire him.
why is the att rep on a verizon plan? doesnt att give employee plans? i find it hard to believe that there is a benifit for him to buy a verizon phone. i havent seen a single area that i cant get service and verizon does. i know such an area must exist but there are also plenty of areas that the reverse is true.
It's always the one that "has a leaked rom" on their phone that tries to screw you over in the stores. I've had it happen to me before, don't worry just talk to another store/rep if that ever happens.

Im 100% sure he has version. I doubt his DroidX was unlocked or anything because I was talking to him about how version has no service in my area and he went on to explain the difference in the networks. I should've took a picture of him trying to show it off to me as I was playing around with my new phone.

Two year contract + new(ish) job at ATT = might as well wait it out?
I've had AAA Plus for 20+ years and never once did I pay for it. I've been on my parent's AAA plan since I was a kid. They've always just kept me on it, and they won't take my money when they make me come pick up my new card every year. After a while I quit offering to reimburse them.
Just sayin'

By chance are you in florida and was this at the att in altamonte springs? Had a similar but not as bad experience. Mine was for rebooting and he gave me a hard time.
I hate the Altamonte store! They're idiots in there. I went in there once with a question about my e71x and a rep basically just tried to shoo me away to drive down the street to the warranty/repair center by Publix...I had to insist that he help me- it's a good thing I did because, as it turned out, warranty would have just made me to drive back.

Did i just brick my phone?

I think i just bricked my phone. I am trying to return to S-on and after following all the instructions in the main sticky, i wrote the SUPERCID back to tmobile, and put in the writesecuflag 3 command, and rebooted the bootloader. Now the phone will not turn on at all. Won't power on regular and cannot turn it on into the bootloader. When i plug the phone into the computer QHUSB-DLOAD comes up in the device manager as to what it is saying it is attatched as. Adb shows no devices and RUU's cannot find the device. Omg i really hope i didnt hose this phone.
Did you flash first the ruu that came with your phone?

Sounds like you bricked it, yes :s
Thanks for the replies guys.
Since i got it from craigslist my only hope is paying htc to repair it i'm assuming?
It should still be covered by the original warranty right?

Just got off the phone with HTC. It is still covered under their warranty. Hopefully since all my void stickers in good standing, I have no physical damage, was able to get the CID back to Tmous and the write secureflag3 went through, there will be no reason to deny it. Here is hoping! I think EXT4 recovery is still on there though. Hopefully it will be so bricked that they will have to reset it and reload the software to be able to do anything with it
Hope you manage to get it fixed!
A question, I have yet to root my XE, but is SUPERCID a must on a sim free phone if you want to flash roms?
the fact is that if it is so bricked that it won't turn on at all they won't check it further. many members achieved to get a new phone as replacement
Just make sure you tell HTC you are the original owner and didnt get it from craigslist. Also DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES Mention any hacking forums like XDA,or ROOT, Just claim that it said "an update was available" so you chose to update and the battery died.I've had free repairs under warranty by using that same advice, A friend of mine mentioned root on his nexus one and they charged him for repair even though it was a month old as he voided the warranty

I definitely didnt mention xda or flashing roms or anything, and I told them i received it as an anniversary gift (even though i really did get it from craigslist). Told them i rebooted the phone and it just never came back on. Which really is what happened while leaving out a few details lol.
I wonder what would them HTC guys think if they are already among us
same thing happened to me the other day on my evo 3d...gonna send it in to htc as well...hope they won't know...what are the chances of them getting the phone to turn on??

From everything i read online it really seems hit or miss depending on the technician you get. More often than not they seem to let things slide even if it seems obvious that they should have been able to see it was rooted etc. Here is hoping . I'm gonna send it out tomorrow and will keep this thread updated with developments if anyone is interested in how it went. I have read some HORROR stories about people sending there phone to HTC and it become missing in action for MONTHS. I really pray to christ that does not happen to me.
O/T a little bit, but how come with just about any other "thing" in life a warranty is good and is tied to the object and not to the person. Even though i got this phone off of craigslist, why should that have ANYTHING to do with it. The phone is the phone and the warranty is the warranty regardless of whose possession it is in. I just don't think tmobile should be able to do that. Also i think it's BS that if you buy a brand new phone and it breaks 2 days later, they give you a refurb and not a new one. How do they get away with this ****!
i think im gonna take my chances as well...the person i talked to at htc did say that if the damages were caused by me then i would have a choice to pay them to fix if not i would have to pay $35 to get the phone back...so this could end up costing the shipping to send phone and the $35 to get the phone back.

Just wondering how this has progressed. Did you send your phone to HTC? Did they say what the potential repair costs could be?
Well i sent it out on 12/21 and they received it on 12/28. On the tracking website, it says "In repair". From experience, if it is going to have any issues or gonna charge you any money, it says under review until you have spoke to them and made arrangements or paid them. One thing that is pissing me off good is that every day, the day it says it was received is changed. So everyday i have checked, it went from saying received on 12/28, to 12/29, to 12/30, and now 1/1. So i dont know if that is just the way the system works, or if they are trying to sheist me and take forever and a day like some of the horror stories i have read. Not really sure what their is to do but send a replacement since it is hard bricked and cannot be resuscitated even with professional tools from all the research i have done online. In the meantime, i bought a galaxy s 2 and am LOVING it, except for the lack of development in comparison to here in sensation land!

Samsung s7 FRP locked after Factory Rest

Hi guys, an old boy at work just upgraded from a Samsung S7 to a Samsung S9 and wanted to give the S7 to a friend. The problem is he didnt know his password for the google account that the shop created for him so we couldn't do a factory reset via the usual menu as it obviously asked for a password. As it was a bit of a rush I told him to do a hard reset and see if that works, it reset but the moment the phone booted up it presented us with the FRP lock message..
i.e An unauthorised attempt has been made to reset your device to factory default settings. Connect to WIFI or mobile network to verify your identity.
We hotspot on his S9 to give the old S7 wifi connectivity and then we're presented with the Google headed message:
i.e Verifying your account : This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device. It says Enter or Phone number or click the Forgot email.
We've since managed to password reset the original account which we never managed to do at the beginning and have entered it multiple times in the phone to verify the credentials and it literally does nothing. So now he's basically left with a legit Samsung S7, which can't be used.
My question is, is this happening because we're not using the original password or something, surely not?
We're using the exact same original google account with with his Samsung S9 now and all is well, so what's the problem, does anyone know?

Thanks for your response cooltt, much appreciated. I'm in the process of downloading the XEU version from sammobile (my god that website download speed is slow), I'm assuming that's the one he needs. He got the phone from EE but as I'm not sure what the new owner will be using I figured XEU or BTU with debranding will be best. It's a bit annoying that I can't get in the phone to see what it originally used, but oh well so long as it works he'll be happy; fingers crossed.
Thanks again mate. :good:

BTU is the correct one it tends to work on most S7's in this situation. It's unbranded western Europe (although it says UK). Sammobile is slow if you don't pay but there's another way using SamFirm Tool which downloads the files direct from Samsung's own servers.
this is generally the easiest way to get past FRP lock but it sometimes doesn't work but there are many guides on how to try a different way. All methods need to have the Samsung USB drivers instated on your PC, which you can get quite easily.

So I just finishing flashing the s7, the installation went through perfectly fine with a pass, but sadly the removal of the FRP lock didn't happen. It still boots perfectly fine and then presents me with the same lock message asking me to login with the old account, which has already been tried and tested and fails. ****!
I'm lost, why have they made it so difficult, fair enough if the login credentials are wrong, but i'm using the exact account that was previously on it and i'm having to deal with this, it's such a pain in the backside. I totally get the security side of it but surely this shouldn't happen with the legit account. I've hard reset loads of devices in the past and this is the first time ever this has happened.

Thanks man, but apparently that's been patched in the latest Oreo, because it doesn't work.
I wonder if there's a way to get your phone unlocked with proof of purchase. i.e a legit receipt for this actual device. I'm guessing probably not, but if their was how would i even go about asking.
I've just read somewhere that there is a 72hr FRP login restriction on the device if you've reset your old account password. Apparently I may have to wait for 72hrs before it will allow us to finally login to this device using the old account. Well.. I'm guessing I will have to wait until Monday then as we reset the old account password on Friday. Fingers crossed!!
I'm still having major problems with this, can anyone advise me please. The S7 is currently on G930FXXS3ERLF_G930FXEU3ERKF_XEU and i'm still in the same predicament as in my original post. Currently pulling my hair out whilst surfing through a 101 out of date Youtube videos trying to find a solution, this is such a pain in the backside.

Yeah the phone boots fine, i just get presented with the usual FRP lock.. I've basically got this screen (got this off google), it's the same as what i'm getting.

The most annoying thing off all is that I've just spent an hour on the phone to Samsung UK customer service (call center based in the philippines) and they basically said take the phone to a Samsung service center and they can unlock it, but there's a catch. So long as I take it with proof of purchase (which shouldn't be a problem as I think he originally got it from Carphone Warehouse via their website so we could print that), and providing the phone is still within warranty and has no damage... Ahh fk!
I mentioned the screen had a bit of a crack in it and then they started spewing some BS about how they can only do the FRP Unlock once the screen / phone has been repaired. So I've basically been arguing with them for an hour flat, asking why they feel the need to extort money from their customers to carry out a repair on a screen which isn't needed. The screen has been cracked (just the glass) pretty much from day one and the phone is perfectly fine and the screen being cracked doesn't and won't affect functionality or physically prevent their service center from plugging up the phone to a pc and then flashing it with a bit of software.
I explained to them that I would understand Samsungs service center wanting to charge for a service if Samsung gave their customer any kind of advance warning within the hard reset area (i.e more than just mentioning or asking ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO RESET THIS DEVICE, AS IT WILL DELETE ALL OF YOUR FILES. If they can warn you about that why not anything else?). I said if they had mentioned your phone may become locked indefinitely or you may have to visit a service center where you may incur a charge should you proceed then I wouldn't have reset it. I said the user interface gave no warning at all about any FRP lock or warning that the phone will be made non-functional from then on forth and said their was definitely no mention of any potential charges, so what's the deal?
They then started telling me they implemented the FRP lock for my own good, for my protection.. Protection racket much? Gee thanks Samsung, you've put protection in place that was never asked for mentioned or needed, especially NOT WHEN an ongoing expenditure is a result or it, not for me anyway or all those other poor sods that are scouring the internet currently looking for a solution to gain access back in to their phones.
I was merely expecting them to say don't panic Sir this is quite common, just pop down to one of our service centers with proof of ownership / purchase and we'll do the rest. Instead they're trying to extort money by failing to tell customers of any FRP lock prior to them resetting, failing to mention any kind a charge or ongoing issues in advance then proceeding to profit off the back of that, forcing customers who've used that reset option to pay up if they want to continue to use their phones.
Oh the drama is real!!!
Thanks for all your responses by the way @cooltt, nothings working but I appreciate your effort all the same.. thanks man.

OK, if you took it to Samsung I very much doubt they insist the screen is repaired they're staff tend to be the same ones giving advice on these forums. They're generally just do as you ask.
Anyway there's a few ways to rescue your phone but it is difficult trying to explain on forums, it's easier if you've done it a hundred times because things do go wrong and sometimes don't work and you have to use programmes the average user simply wouldn't be able to figure out.
I think a Samsung centre will just unlock and send you on your way.
Hi, You can try to install a custom rom by installing a custom recovery. I advise you to start with stock based one like light rom. If it does not work, try lineageos

I'm just amazed how many people don't disable FRP before messing about with your phone!
Anyway SM 930F is the phone variant not firmware, what firmware is the phone on? Go to Sammobile type in the phone variant (SM-G930F), then filter by country / region and you'll see different firmware, network locked and unbranded (BTU), Nougat and Oreo, which one is on your pone right now? Then we can try and help you.

I didn't use this phone. It was for my son but he kept sneaking it into bed at night when he has to sleep so my wife asked me to take it off him. A few months later I decided to use the phone and without thinking about it i just factory reset it from stock recovery menu. Anyways hes only 10 yeas old and couldn't remember what his email nor password for it was so I could not go through the setup without it. I have never had this issue on any of my other phones as I always use custom roms on my phones so i always have OEM off and never even heard of FRP before i reset this phone
Firmware is 8.0
G930FXXS4E"SAE"
BTU
Edit : I have already tried calling 911 and then add Bluetooth but that didn't work as Bluetooth menu is disabled and i tried with activating the text to voice where u got into the settings and look for the 3 dot menu which didn't work. i have looked in different threads here and nothing seem to be working for me.
Right now i am trying this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/help/how-to-bypass-frp-galaxy-s7-possibly-6-t3622126
Just downloading the latest stock rom as i cant get the phone to boot before flashing stock but the guy in the post says it should remove FRP. My only issue is that the .bat file don't seem to work so i am sure this process didn't work for me but i guess ill have to wait for the stock rom to finish downloading before confirming my doubts...
