what drvers really works o work better for a kaiser with WinMo 6.1... Samsung OMNIA D3D, or this one HTC-CA-Kaiser-Drivers.cab (http://www.htcclassaction.org/driverprogress.php), and where i can find OEM package of HTC-CA-Kaiser-Drivers, Regards!

any chef outthere¿

I think one of the only differences is that the Omnia driver does not support OpenGLES (I'm pretty sure). My vote would be the HTC Class Action driver, even though it is not fully functional as of right now

of course you know.....your vote "opinion" in particular is taken very seriously
so it's HTC CA drivers over Omnia drivers for me from now on lol

oh i don't know that for openGLES but omnia drivers make the same score on 3ddemo with shiny screen and can see the TEXT with omnia drivers

so is it possible to play doomGLES with the HTC drivers versus the omnia drivers?
http://kokak.free.fr/DoomGLES.htm
i have ABUs PDAcorner v172g right now and i think it has the omnia driver.. but ive been trying to get this version of doom to work for a while now..
p.s. - if i tried to these drivers... could i go back to the omnia D3D drivers without a problem.. THANK YOU!

as far as Direct3D is concerned, the Samsung Omnia drivers might score a little higher, but if you are into gaming, like DoomGLES, then the HTC CA will be the best option.
@soueski: yes, you can just install either driver and install a different driver and it should work fine.
@mazin13: thanks
btw, I'm playing with Toshiba Portege g810 right now, which has the same processor as the Kaiser, does anyone know if drivers have been ported from this?

thanks for the info MBAR..
ok.. im downloading the htc drivers and gonna see if they work a little better as far as gaming and media is concerned..

try the goforce CoD 2 demo with the d3d drivers

isnt it just a cab install?
i downloaded the cab and just installed it on my phone from the HTCclassaction site.. the latest one i belive is from october..
but as far as the driver are concerned..
the triangle (GL)
the D3D demo
the lights (D3D)
all tested flawlessly.. there wernt any tears or artifacts.. and very smooth..
the text 3d tho.. i cant see the text.. it just looks like a mini blue and red castle wall to me
as far as my gaming goes tho..
i havnt gotten doomGLES to work yet.. im still stuck on the certificate error.. although i know it works on kaiser because on another site (which i cant link.. im sorry ) .. someone got it to run .. i think ima ask him how he did it
.. i use Morphgear 2.4.0.9 (SNES Emu)...and i can actually play a lil..
mega man i can play with frame skip 3 with sound and stereo (HTC DRIVERS)
vs. frame skip 2 no sound. -- resulting in the same frame rate 10 - 15
(but if disable everything and put framerate to 3 its smooth HTCclass drivers -- couldnt do that before)
so i guess a little improvement there
Mario Rpg actually loads -- unplayable tho.
as far as 3d games go as in athelion 2 and flux challenge.. i did notice when using the touchscreen, its more responsive and dosnt slow down the games as it did before.. (i think these games are software rendered, and i dont know if the drivers have anything to do with how a physical touch of the games FPS.. but really.. it was smoother )
ill try testing a lil more and maybe tweak some stuff
and benchmark the the different drivers with video playback and rendering rates..
video playback is somewhat smoother using a decent quality file and an oversized resolution.. TCPMP and Coreplayer seem to resize the movie/videos res ratio a bit better for a lil smoother playback.. AUD/VID was a tiny out of sync tho (wasnt with the omnia drivers).. but with a lil adjustment for the A/V timing in the settings.. the movie was much more watchable...
then again i could just be fooling myself .. either case.. my movies are smoother now after the HTCclass install
video bitrate @ 182kbps
audio @ 182 kbps
avi file
resolution @ 624 x 336
as far as video playback with a converted video actually made for a 320 x 240 resolution in mp4 format 24 hz audio... it plays flawlessly with dvd quality @ 27 - 29 FPS.. now this i know is better with these drivers
but thats all i got right now.. as far as everyday use.. as in M2D and drawback rates and etc... there pretty much the same..
although the camera does fixate the lighting adjustments a lil faster in a dark room.
but just as a side note.. the phone does tend to get a lil warmer from my experience.. not crazy hot.. jus a lil warmer as in i could actually tell my phones working a lil harder now (when using apps/games)..
(or i could just be crazy and imagining all this stuff)
more later.....

OK OK, i am using KaiserKitchen to convert CAB to OEM, its work if i go to OEM with that Tool? or any one out there got OEM package to cook on my own ROM? regards!

I asked this question a while ago about other 7500 chipset phones
Is there anyone checking the other phones with the same chipset for drivers?
I found a lot on http://pdadb.net/
Link to all devices using this chipset http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdamaster&posted=1&cpu=a7500
Here is the link for the 7200 chipset phones http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=cpu&id=a7200
Funny even the new treo, (htc device I know) is still using it, Same performance, why upgrade at all?
Funny the reason I was looking was so I could stay away from poor performing phones from companies not willing to make a quality device with full feature set ( aka htc, qualcomm) Please, I am not completely unhappy with the phone, but I know it could be better on the multimedia side.
I found this with the specs being the so close, wonder if there is a driver?
Is there a company like symbol or medical field pda that are utilizing full driver set for the chipset?

http://www.pocketgamer.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5280
have anybody tried it on xda's ?
SWEEEET!
This will be one of the FIRST things to go on my Universal when I get it..
Hopefully next week.. EARLY next week...
You know that without the graphic accelerator it's running at around 3fps apparently?
Still an amazing piece of work.
V
Yes, I know..
But it's Quake 3!!!
I my previous computer LAGGED when running Q3!
I used to love that game. i only ever played the first level, but man, I played it a lot. Now I'm all COD, but those were the good all days before t'interweb.
I'm quite surprised that HTC didn't put an accelerator in the Universal. But buying an x50v just for the three games that use it wasn't worth it.
V
I'd much rather have USB host support than graphics accellerator..
Or both...
wonder if the ATI graphic chip in xda2's would help anything that
is if the game supported it
You could write support for it..
It's open source!
the ATI graphic chip SdK is not soo easy to get hold of though

Samsung Omnia Pro!!!!

A device has now been tested www.gsmarena.com/samsung_b7610_omniapro-review-378.php
What are your thoughts? Is this a match for the TP2?
I hate to say it, but im swayed by this device to move away from HTC until they bring the next touch/keyboard device (TP3?)
I still prefer TP2!
The only point I can see is not better is in processor, but I´ll wait patiently to see the 09-10 HTC new models!
ooh i dont know that seems prettty nice.... but since its probably not coming to tmobile here in the us i think i have no choice but to go iwth the touch pro 2, it will probably go to Verizon cause they where the only one to get the last omnia
A match? To be honest, I'm not seeing how the Touch Pro 2 is supposed to be better or even equal to a phone that has an AMOLED screen and 800Mhz Cortex A8 processor. The B7610 even beats the TP2 in little things like camera and ROM storage amount.

That's old news... I was not impressed.
Im so impatient, I dont think I can wait til the next version of the Touch Pro is available. The TP2 has only just been released and therefore its probably going to be another 12 months.
The fact the Samsung is lighter, better screen, camera (inc flash), I have to admit im tempted
.... and you have Samsung build quality which is, in my experience, awesome..... unlike my experience of HTC's which is frankly, awefull.
You will be able to get many cooked roms over at omnia.modaco.com and you will get just as much support from them and here when combined.
i'm gutted I bought my Acer m900 only to THEN find out about the Omnia Pro (the acers great but ....)

I used to have a Touch HD and video performance was a letdown. Don't get me wrong the HD is a magnificent device, but not being able to watch videos as they should be on this great screen was dissapointing. I tried many different encoders, like doctor divx, nero recode and the encoder made for this device but none of them gave me satisfiyng results. Especially considering that I had to REENCODE a complete movie, this process could easily take several hours. Many tweaks drivers etc never gave me full satisfaction. I made tons of little clips to test the best possible performance for the least amount of encoding time and my findigs were that my best option was to reencode with Nero at a maximum resolution of 524 and max bitrate of 700 and selecting Quicktime compatibility for the MPEG ASP. So I ended up with tons of clips, each time trying wich is the best. The following things were particularly frustrating.
- No out of the box divx/xvid support
- playback of divx/xvid with coreplayer or any other 3rd party player was slow and laggy
- No standard MPEG 4 ASP support, for example videos recorded on other devices like Nokia's wouldn't play. Also many programs would create incompatible mp4 files for this device. Later I found out because it doesnt support the Advanced Simple Profile but only the Simple Profile. (Quicktime compatible)
- No standard MPEG 4 AVC support, as the point above the only way to make mp4 video work on this device was to use the encoder program wich was very very very slow. (on my pc at least) Files created with nero or xvid or any other VC-1 encoder would fail to play on this device.
- Even videos created with the special encoder would play fine, but seeking and switching from fullscreen to portrait etc was always lagging.
NOW : I bought a Samsung Omnia PRO B7610 and man it's a world of difference. Seriously this device is awesome for video playback. Smooth playback, fast mode switching, fast seeking forward. I mean everything wich was wrong with the HD is right with this device. I hadn't deleted my bunch of test clips for the HD and this device plays nearly all of them without a problem. And the best part is, I don't have to reencode anything anymore. Every divx/xvid video I tried played flawlessly. Lost episodes downloaded from the web at 624 resolution look perfect on the Amoled Screen, and play perfectly smooth. Well I am certainly satisfied with this device.

where did you get this deveice from , i've been waiting for it for a long time. does anyone have any idea about a UK release date. i've been scouring the internet and can't find a thing.
I got it online from pdashop / Coolblue. Price for just the phone without contract was 468 euros. You can probably find it cheaper online, but I was prepared to give a little more to get my hands on this a soon as possible.

Samsung: Better cpu, Better camera, no tilt screen (a plus for me)

[Project] Improve Leo Driver Performance - Share your knowledge

*Driver found on post #2*
Hi Leo users,
As seen before on the MSM-72XX platform, HTC once again denied us of a fully working 3D graphics driver from Qualcomm. Why? I know it was a patent issue on the MSM720X chipset based devices.
It doesn't matter anyway, since it doesn't help us getting the Leo work the way it should.
Now, some users are already looking into this issue, and i'd like to combine all efforts in one thread, to make it a centralized discussion.
As with the MSM-based driverpack, there WILL be a driverpack for QSD-based devices, made by me, or others. However, it'll take a while, since I'm not able to test it myself. The MSM driver team only has 2 members with a Leo, so i'm depending on them to do my testing for me.
To set the tone of this discussion, look at this benchmark comparison, made on 15-11-2009.
Let the discussion begin!
Oh and a small p.s.: Please keep it on topic, posts like "OMG!!1! It's so slow!" are pretty useless. Thanks.
News
There's alot of interest in improving the graphics performance on the HD2. Chainfire is working on a fix already. Very good news.
You can find the patch here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=592663
reserved 2
wow...Neo is back for the Leo...AWESOME.
I know my HD was twice as quick after installing your drivers...can't wait for the final version of the driverpack.
Well, I'll repeat my question from the other thread: has anyone looked at what drivers are shipped with an Acer neoTouch, and does that tell us anything useful about what's going on with the HD2?
did you sign the last petition on MSM drivers to HTC? HTC seems least bothered about that. It seems we have to work out something ourselves. Let's get it work.

Petitions towards HTC don't work. The past proves that. We will have to do it ourselves. (again)
I'll wait before buying my HD2...
Thank you Neo !
Another question: can we say anything useful about the state of 2D video drivers on Leo? I'm a bit concerned at the suggestion that one needs to run CorePlayer in GDI mode. If CorePlayer's QTV overlay mode doesn't work on Snapdragon that's not necessarily surprising - different GPU, after all - but if it can't use DirectDraw either, does that suggest a problem with 2D driver support?

Well the current version of Coreplayer has support for the MSM-based devices. The Snapdragon SHOULD have backwards compatibility with the MSM platform. You could try and run GFXboost by Chainfire, which enables QTV on the MSM platform at all times. Maybe it works on QSD devices too.
Warning: GFXboost does not work on HTC HD2. After installing it, Leo does not see SD card. Hard restart is needed to get it fixed.
We've seen on the other thread the the OpenGL test runs faster when the screen is dimmed, so is there something other than the Opengl driver we can play with?
Thanks for letting us know about Gfxboost, maybe Chainfire could make it work on the HD2 too in time if needed.

In other news: check out the first post for a GLbenchmark comparison between a HD2, TG01, samsung OmniaHD and a Blackstone. Sadly, the HD2 places 3rd in the ranking, after the TG01 and on the first place: the OmniaHD. Obviously the Blackstone is the slowest, but hey: they Omnia HD only runs on 600 Mhz!

That's the influence of the PowerVR GPU, presumably. Slower CPU but better GPU.
EDIT: actually no, it looks like the Omnia HD is even managing to outperform the Snapdragon phones on the CPU benchmark. That's scary!
Does it get any sort of boost from having a lower screen resolution? Might also be a Symbian vs WinMo thing.
Here you go this a dump of the open Gl ES drivers of my acer neotouch s200, hope it helps, attach below:
ps: there are also other drivers included, not really sure if they are usefull.
also i can play any open gl es 1.0/1.1/2.0 game from xtrak to electopia, these drivers are even able to render Inofx.GeoRally.EX.v1.0 from the dell axim v51, of course they don't render it perfectly but im able to see the car rendered in 3d no textures tho and some of the menu elements.

TouchFlow 3D On MEGA

Is it possible to get TF3D running on the MEGA for too?
I had installed it before, but TF3D start in an endless loop.
I dont think so, Mega doesnt support 3D, missing OpenGL driver (if i am not wrong)
Chriss, indeed don't do this.....there are some people who have it on similar devices (not Mega). Requires a lot of development.
Only solution for now wait till somebody has it done and reports it working....

Correct me , but with only coping files and overclocking a few MHz above wouldn't do the job .... from all i've read , it seem that HARDWARELY Mega could't support TF3D , if i'm wrong then it's only a matter of time before some1 make our dream(1 of 2)* come true !
P.S. *our other dream is Android runnin on Mega ;]]
Android will be closer simply because more people are interested in that......

Hi i used this tools...it's from HTC...but i want a 3d driver for mega
we all united can do this
Device on steroids..... Thanks for sharing!
Have you noticed real performance improvement? Any impact on apps like TomTom?
Want to try but am a little careful because of generating extra heat or battery drain. Did you notice this?
We are getting a bit off topic......found these 2 threads with info on overclocking:

Some improvement reported in certain applications but also more battery. Otherwise seems stable app.

Hi.
Yes it is completely faster, also in TouchFlo and Menu, Messages, Internet, ecc, ecc.
In my mega no extra heat of the phone. The only things is that the battery drains a little bit before...but life is same good...but with more speed increase
very nice team i wish i could see andriod and touch flo 3d on my mega
Yes, it is possible to run TF3D on Mega.
I have bought my Mega a month ago, and it is coming with TF3D from the operator or manufacturer.
It is running pretty good and fast. Battery lasts 4-5 days.
I think that these "Mega"s, that are produced last year are coming with TF3D and newer ROM from the manufacturer.
Could you post some pics with TF3D running and also the specs of your MEGA??
Because it is impossible to run TF3D with the original processor and RAM.

Over clocking problems
Guys, over clocking may damage the device, as written on the HTC Performance config.
Still if it's working fine, just let me know.

Just checking up on this thread, is there any news on the mega having 3D?http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

omnia 2 or htc hd

hi boys
i really need your help
i so confused about what mobile i should to get
omnia 2 or hd touch
i love the interface of htc but finally i can see that same thing we can do it on omnia 2 by roms
and i love omnia coz the speed of cpu mor than hd
so plz
helpppppppppppppppppppppppppppp me
Compared to older HTC devices (Diamond, Diamond 2 etc.) Omnia 2 is really FAST and the big screen is killer. But the device is crippled by Samsung software. It does also strange things like closing apps if you have opened more than 3 or 4. There's a hack for this but still..... But why not HD2?
I prefer HTC HD, even if it´s a bit older design is much much nicer and it´s HTC
Softwares, games from Qualcomm processor phones are mostly compatible with HTC HD. However if you do not mind losing those stuff, you might want to get Omnia II to get the wonderful AMOLED screen and the 800mhz processor.
i have a omnia i8000 and it works great. Out of the box very low RAM, it true samsnug apps kill the phone. The first thing i would do is disable touchwiz and flash a custom lite ROM on the phone and it works just fine. The apps closing someone minchioned above is because of low RAM, when the RAM gets low it auto closes apps which i have not experenced yet on my phone.
The main problem with the phone is openGL drivers samsnug made ****ty drivers so lots of programs that rely on opengl do not work, well they work but are slow. Apps like SBP moble shell carousel, SBP work fine it just the carousel and some games. All the games i have tried worked jus fine.
Never had a htc HD so i can't comment, if you go omnia your gonna have to tweak the **** out of it.
All i can say is the omnia dose have flaws, but overall a great phone and works fine for me. I love the screen and the phone is just great and the community is getting stronger so more people will try to support it. It the best phone price vs specs.
thanks for every one try to help me in this problem
but i can say that i still little confused
