Is there a good uninstaller anywhere I can use to get rid of some of the programs that won't uninstall completely with the normal "Remove Programs."?
SK Tools
Hi
Try SK Tools. It's very good but also costs money. Just a few quid though.

Or just use Active Sync to remove the program.

The problem I'm having is that when I go to settings > system > remove programs, it only lists the first 11 programs that I've installed myself, so I cant see / remove newer programs since they are not listed there.
The programs (all cab files) were installed through usb via active sync.
Is there a tweak or a registry setting that can be used to keep that program list updated and show every program installed.
If not, how can I uninstall a program completely from within my phone itself ?
I'm trying to avoid uninstalls through active sync.
I wish I had an answer for you. I have been looking for an Installation Monitor, Registry Monitor, Filesystem Monitor tool for a long time now but I don't think there is one out there. What an Installation Monitor essentially would do is monitor any cab that you install and create a log of what that cab added/modified. That way, when you come to uninstall it you could perform a FULL uninstall and it would truely bring your device back to what it was before you installed the cab.
There are many of these types of tools for Windows XP/Vista but I haven't seen anything for WM6. Also there may be some limitations as these installation logs could be quite long. Regular Windows software such as "Advanced Uninstaller Pro" and they seem to do a good job.
I wish there was one for WM6 because everytime I install something and don't like it and remove it, it seems to leave hundreds of files lying around. I hate that...
The closest thing I have seen to an uninstaller program that goes beyond the standard Windows uninstaller is SKTools. It has an option to perform a "deep scan" for installed programs and it attempts to remove all files that that cab added and revert all registry keys back to their original state. I am still testing it out on Windows Mobile Emulator. It looks like if the original cab didn't create an installation log, WM doesn't know it got installed.
I just experienced this for the first time myself, although I have about 20 programs in my remove programs list. Opera 8.65 doesn't show up in the list of installed programs, even though it is there and still works. I was trying to uninstall it from main memory and try it on the storage card but I guess I'll have to hard reset to really get rid of it. Any other ideas?
After searching around for a while I found that there "might" be a limitation of 50 entries in the Remove Programs list. Is this true? The solutions suggested is to remove some the installed programs using ActiveSync, but I use Vista and WMDC, as far as I can tell, there is no Remove Programs options using this interface. Am I right?
Searching a little bit more I found this Remove Programs Tool - http://www.51spsoft.com/DownInfo/info24847.html It appears to do the trick (List the Installed Programs and Uninstall) but it does not display correctly in the Blackjack II (i617).
Are there any tricks/hacks to remove the 50 programs limitation or another tool that can replace the Remove Programs function, but with an interface that works well with the BJII?
Thanks
SKTools is the best bet for you.

Thanks... I'm playing with the Standard Trail version now. I'll consider shelling out the $12 if it works as advertized.
Btw, WMDC does have a Add/Remove Programs Option - One has to click More... in the lower right corner of the Program and Services panel to bring up that option. Why was this option not located on the main page of Program and Services?... is a mistery to me.
I've got a Samsung i600 WM5 Smartphone and I'm looking for a good (free if possible) registry cleaner for this phone. I've also got some unwanted icons such as Airscanner Antivirus and Airscanner Scheduler in my Start screen as I did uninstall Airscanner a while back, but seemed to of left behind some debris or junk.

Try SK Tools, I don't have the cab or link, so you"ll have to search for it. It will clean reg plus alot more.
I tried to remove an application from the 'Remove Programs'. It first processed a bit and then said 'The Program is not removed completely, do you want to remove it from the Program list?'
Why is this error/message coming up?
How do I remove that program completely?
THanks
Try installing the program again, then uninstalling. Make sure the program is not running while you are trying to uninstall
also, a better way to uninstall apps is to use SKTools

It worked, thanks.
I tried to install a different version of tomtom over an existing one and it did not remove the old program properly. It is still in the program list and when I try to remove it I get a message that it cannot be removed.
It means that I can't install any new TT at the moment and can't run the old one. Is there a way to find the leftover bits and get rid if them?
same difficulties here, but in my case is with the "dotcompt ZoomAdds v1.2" CAB.
Reinstall the software again
you will go through the same steps of installation BUT IN FACT IT IS REMOVING IT
Some soft may be difficult to remove.
In such case, the best is often to install the program again and try do disable it in the setting.
Then uninstall it again.
The best way to uninstall totally a soft is to use SK Tools.
