Im posting this here because ive had this problem on a fuze rom AND several kaiser roms AND the chefs NEVER answered soo i believe i can post it here for wider range of support..when i get an email that has pics it has that box at the top "internet pictures blocked" and when you click it you get "download internet pictures" of course..and when i click it it seems to load and goes right back to "internet pics blocked" whats the deal? i know people have had this problem and maybe fixed it..anyone?
Hmmm have you looked at this thread?....if I didn't know better I'd say it was a by default design on the WM platform. And of course you're not the only one wanting this feature.

thats not my issue..my issue is EVEN clicked i cannot get images to display..i dont care about them showing by default without downloading them..i just want them to download in the first place..

just installed it and set everything up..still cannot see pics in preview box or full window and there is no option to download so still not a help..oh and finger scrolling doesnt work like in the native wm outloook which is a letdown it only hilights..
ok ive solved my issue (i guess the reg edits ive used for the past 2 years to disable att proxy were messed up (space in a word in one of the values thats not supposed to be there)) so that got PIE working (which ws the original culprit cause if pie doesnt work u cant view pics in outlook)) and thus got my pics to show BUT flexmail SUCKS..the imap idle doesnt work AT ALL with gmail and i mainly use exhange and that doesnt work either and a matter of fact i cant even recieve outlook emails AT ALL so i cant view ANY exchange emails in outlook..LAME

It's my first day with this new toy and I can't believe how difficult I find to cope with this TouchFLO thing. Maybe it's because I have been using Windows Mobile since the days of HandheldPCs on WindowsCE but I find that this interface is just too inflexible for me. The fact that you can see only the next appointment is an absolute deal breaker for me: I just can't go through my work day without having a clear view of all my appointments!
Anyway my question is actually on a different subject: my previous device had WM5 and setting up a Hotmail account was extremely easy, now when I try to set up a Hotmail account in Outlook Mobile, Opera opens and I reach a page to download Windows Live from the Microsoft site. I don't understand.... Windows Live is preinstalled and the Messenger is already running.... Should I download something else or is Opera interfering with the set-up process?
By the way... how can I set IE Mobile as my default browser?

Thanks it's working now... I had to "sync" via Windows Live and the Hotmail account appeared in the list of email accounts...

i too am having problems with getting hotmail access on my touch diamond, i am new to these handsets so dont have any ideas how to go about it, i cant access it via internet explorer and when i tried to set it up through set up new email under the messaging section but it doesnt work
i would be really gratefull for any instructions you can give me as the sync instructions in previous response are a bit over my head!

It's not hard.
Start -> Programs -> Windows Live
You enter your hotmail username and password etc, set a bunch of options to your liking and then your hotmail account will be sync'd on your device.

If you don't like the TouchFlo 3D today plugin, you can uncheck it and replace it with whatever you want. Go to Settings->Today->Items and untick TouchFLO 3D.

Yes I know.. thanks.... To be honest I have spent the weekend playing with the phone and I am getting used to the TouchFLO 3D now, even if I still have a few problems with it....
- screen not always sensitive to finger touch, particularly in Opera I find it that very often my double-tap is ignored, and also difficult to use finger on corners of the screen....
- the TouchFLO user guide mentions that you can shrink the clock to make more room for appointments... well I know how to make the clock smaller but it still shows only the next appointment...

Just wondering if anyone can help.. I have a HTC Touch Pro and have email setup to come straight through to my phone... i can send and recieve emails fine but once i've recieved them and they're in my inbox... after a while they automatically delete themselves..
Does anyone know if there is a setting somewhere which allows you to have the option of keeping the mail in the inbox until you delete it yourself?

Does it actually delete from your email account or just not show up on the phone? I think it only looks at recent emails, that's why they disappear.
Nah it doesn't delete them from my email account it just doesnt show up on the phone.. but sometimes when im out and busy and get an email i leave it to reply for a while but it has gone from the phone...

Mine works fine with POP3 configuration. Do you use IMAP?
How many days did you select in the email settings? You can select 3, 7, and unlimited I believe...
The TP will only show the messages based on the above selection...

The emails i send stay in the 'sent' folder until i delete them.. i would just like the recieved messages to stay in the inbox until i delete them..

How big is the total amount of messages? Maybe your memory ran out?
I know I can't get my whole inbox on this phone, it simply won't fit
do you only use your phone to get your emails?
if you use another program such as outlook or outlook express, then the emails will be removed from your server and placed in your local inbox on your PC (if you have this setting enabled). Then when your phone syncs with the server, since the emails have been removed, they are removed from your phone.
Re above: Certainly that was what was happening to me. I download emails separately into the phone whilst out and about but had the 'remove from server' option enabled in outlook. Therefore as soon as I opened outlook on the pc they all vanished from the phone - look in account settings and disable this option. You then keep both local copies. This option also exists in the Touch Pro email account settings, if enabled then any emails deleted from your phone will not appear in outlook later!

Are you guys using gmail by any chance? If so, you need to make sure that pop3 is enabled for all messages, otherwise they will be erased off your device if they've been read.

Mine dont....and Im set up as imap
I'd like to know a solution to this too. My Pro seems to retrieve the latest messages and delete older ones from my inbox.
Is there any setting misconfig here. I set mine to 7 days.
Now I have seen the setting but now that I read this thread I cand find it. It has to do with Active sync.
There is option to clean mail box on active sync or WDM I f I find it I will update it.
If anyone is having this problem with gmail, type in "recent:" before your gmail username in the settings and it will go away. The only side effect is that your sent messages go to your inbox too. Not the perfect solution, but better than not seeing any messages at all.
what is the email account? sounds like you're using pop.

No sorry i did not solve the problem..im playing around with it to see if its something in the settings but no having any luck as yet...
Its hard for me to find a solution because sometimes it works fine sometimes it doesnt..
seems like hotmail have changed there layout, but now i cant view it on my kaiser!
Using opera mini 4.1, it loads the page shows how many new emails, but im unable to scroll across the screen to view them, or click the new mail tab!
Ive tried using internet explorer, but gives simular results, unuseable.
Now it seems this is an issue for other WM devices as a search brought up the same fault on a dimond, and ive also tried it on my hermes.

I've also found this problem with opera mini and am finding it annoying. What's even more annoying is that another hotmail account I have but rarely use hasn't been updated, and still works fine.

im on about using www.hotmail.com to view my emails on my phone, thats whats buggered up
Have been trying to figure this out for some time. It seems from my on-line searches, others have too! I just purchased a Samsung Mesmerize after being a long time Blackberry user. I was hesitant as first, but almost immediately was hooked!
So on to the question: Has anyone figured out how to delete outlook emails from the phone without deleting them from the server? My Blackberry had a function to delete emails only on the device, when I would return to my desktop the emails would still be there. Haven't really found an answer anywhere other than it can't be done...

when i delete an outlook email on my phone it doesn't delete it on my outlook account, what email client are you using
I log onto my work email through an outlook exchange server (i.e. mail.xxxxxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/exchange). I set the email up through the Mesmerize mail client.

mine is the exact same way, and I dont see any settings that even give you a way to change that settings like on black berrys.. so I'm wondering if its set like that on the server side at your work

although, I did set up my outlook account through account and settings, which still uses the default email client, but that's the only thing I did different than you.. it's worth a shot...

If you use touchdown, it gives you this option, I don't think i'ts free though.
@elijahblake No worries...I have it set to only show emails for 1 day so it's managable. In the big scheme of things it helps keep me organized!

This is now solved based on the post Bellow go to www.google.com/sync on a browser with agent as iPhone or from actual iOS browser and choose your device (check the last sync time) and check the appropriate box.
So I`m trying the Skyrocket and of course one of the main apps used is email. I tried GMAIL app and it sucks, not being able to pinch to zoom or just resize html message is unacceptable.
So I`m using native email app setup gmail as exchange server so it`ll push messages out and its not great, but good enough... One thing I ran in to today, when I delete emails from the phone they do not go in to TRASH folder, seems that it archives the messages, even if I manually move the message to trash folder it still doesnt put them there. Seems only way to see those messages is if I check all mail.
I need to change this behavior any idea ? I need mails to go to trash when I delete them on the phone...
Found a google support discussion on this topic, but I can't post it here because I haven't reached 8 posts. Do a google search for the help topic "Google Sync, Gmail, and iPhone -- mail getting archived instead of moved to trash"
To change the delete button from archiving to delete, you can visit m.google.com/sync from the iOS browser (this will not work from the desktop) and chose the setting for “Delete email as trash”. Once enabled, the delete button on iOS Mail app will now move the message to Trash instead of archiving it.

I swear I followed that link from another page that talked about issues on android, but now I can't even seem to find that. Sorry for that oversight.
It seems that the only way around it is to use IMAP or use the native GMAIL app. Google people seem to follow the /r/google subreddit, perhaps that's a place to mention it?
THis is the stupides thing ever ! I just went to the m.google.com/sync page on iphone on indroid it doesnt work and i see my device there and I can change settings, but I dont think it works in the client. I dont get it so this is fixed on the iOS client, but not android ? Google own ?
Ok actually changing on the iOS device worked.... which is of course strange, but ok.. Now here is another thing, if I move that same email from trash in web interface it doesnt show up in phone... but I guess I can use all mail to get those...
