Whatever date format I choose it still remains unchanged and default in tooday screen
CF3.5 is installed...
Did I forget about something or do it in a wrong way?
By the way what is the registry directory for that option?
Did you click the Change-Button before you exited Advance Config?
youll need to soft reset after changing settings

How to unlock the extend ROM of XDA Mini ?
I want to tailor made a modified backup, everytime when I hard reset the unit I can have the same config .. !
Thanks in advance !
do a hard reset, and before the ppc starts installing the software (there's a pop up box that says application installation begin in 3 second time), do a soft reset, and you will find the extended rom folder visible.
not sure if there's a command like "load_vdisk" or something to turn on the folder visibility w/o doing the hard reset.
You can run \Windows\LoadVdisk.exe
to make \Extended_ROM folder visible.
The command is hidden, you may need software like Resco Explorer and enable show hidden files in order to view it.
Note that \Extended_ROM will be hidden again after you soft reset.
just in explorer, hit open^ and type "LoadVdisk.exe"
noneed of installing other explorer-like apps
My HTC S710 kept on restarting and didnot go beyound the HTC screen. I did a Hardreset... But 2 my surprise after the hard reset the 3D menu screen is gone. This is strange as it should be inbuilt in the ROM. Do we have to install 3D Menu separetely and if yes where can I have the application to install so that I can have the 3D menu display back on my S710.
3D Menu?
Usually, if your device can't boot, pulling out the mem stick and reboot helps. Push memstick back in after it has rebooted.
i can't find hard reset i don't understand where i found expert???
Click Start and look for a folder called Expert. In it you find Clear Storage.
Start it and type 1234 and click Yes, Your device will reset all settings to manufacturer default.
I think it's the same as Dopod C500 in Taiwan, which you have to register to their website to download it back, put it in your storage card under root\2577 folder by cardreader. Put the card back in then it will install automatically.
If you can download from the official website, could you please send me a copy, I want to try this one out too, many thanks in advance.
Now I looked everywhere to see if there was a solution to my problem but couldn't find any. But I've flashed NBD 8 to my 8125 CID locked. Everything seems to be working fine except that the contacts won't work. Is there a way to fix this, or does my CID HAVE to be unlocked for it to work? Thanx! =)
what is wrong with your contacts? Are they not showing up?
try this to Hide/Show SIM contacts
Registry: HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone
Key: ShowSim (dWord)
Value: 0 = hide
1 = show
Im locked and contacts are showing up fine in NBD 8. Might be a stupid question but did you check your sync settings to be sure your syncing your contacts? Might want to reflash if thats not the case, be sure to use wizard love or factory rom first.
did you restore your contacts??
if yes, try to rename pim file which located on 'My Device' using your file explorer to any name, then reset the device, then check if contacts app opened or not, if opened so the problem with the way you used to restore the contacts, note: this way will erase your contacts.
Are you restoring backup of WM5 to WM6 with SPB Backup or other program? WM5 contacts data are not compatible with WM6 (You can backup using ActiveSync or Pim Packup instead)
hey guys i hard reseted my device while i had NBD 8 on it and now it is stuck on a screen with "NBD" on it. can anyone help???
Try removing your memory card. Insert it after restarting is complete.
yoz
this may be a stupid question but did you try to add manually with sim manager?
Could be a bad flash, just hard reset and see if it fixes it, happened to me before after flashing. Nowadays, I double check if my contacts open correctly andt hen start customizing..
Trying NBD8.0 now... thanks to Zoki...

Hard Reset has to work...Cuz it restores default everything.
Hi Webazoid, I just checked and there is no other folder starting with "d" except the ones you mention.
Just hard reset to restore the original ROM.
Good luck.

he renamed the folder to d so it could start with anything.
to help him out go through your hklm registry and see what folder you have that he doesn't. and it should have the contents of what he initially posted.

you probably attempted to hard reset by going to clear storage in settings right?
if so hold down the volume down and center button, then press the stylus in the soft reset hole. Keep holding down volume down and center until it comes up with a message on your screen saying its gonna clear all data yada yada and there you go.
IF that doesnt work.. i guess re-flash the rom.
i just hard resetted. works fine now. lost all settings though.
Too late, but it was the Software folder, based on the content you list.
I know you already have a Software folder but it was probably recreated empty by some program.
Hi folks,
My OP6 date appears to be stored in the format m-d-yy. Is there any way of setting the format to dd-mm-yyyy? I have chosen UK and English in Settings but when I check it still appears as m-d-yy
Cheers

Not sure if this will help. In settings, under system, there is an option to set date & time as provided by the network. Switch on the option to see if this help.

Hi - tried that setting both off and on making no difference. Cheers
Hi folks,
My solution is as follows:
Variable Convert %TIMES to Seconds to Medium Date
Split the result into 3 sections and use them to make my own variable of Mmm dd yyyy
Works fine
Cheers
