Cooked My Own ROM: Want to get rid of extra battery ind. - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

Hey guys, I've cooked about 10 ROMs so far and they've all worked perfectly but I have a problem in the top right hand corner of the screen. In all the ROMs that I have cooked there were always two battery indicators. The battery indicators have percentages of the power left in the battery. I find this very annoying since I'm more a fan of having just the mini-dialog-clock and the "original" battery indicator (battery shaped with 3 vertical dash marks). The htc task manager also doesn't work because of this. I've always removed the "batti" app from the packages folder and it still doesn't help. I've been using Alex's kaiser kitchen if that is any help. All and any help is appreciated. Thanks.

delete all the battery indicators from your packages folder, because for some reason they get included even if you dont want them to

Battery Indicator on Notification Bar

Is everyone else's Stock Battery Indicator ridiculous inaccurate? I'm at 42% battery life currently (widget/spare parts) and the stock indicator shows a level around 65-75%.

Ah, correction, rather than inaccurate it just rounds up generously.

Yea, that's common. They don't have very many level drops.
If anyone finds an app that can overlay a % (or replace it with a %) on top of the STOCK ICON, that'd be awesome. There's some that add an additional icon but I don't want that, that's just stupid to have two battery icons...
Also if anyone finds an app that can overlay a dBm signal in place of the signal strength meters that'd be awesome, too.

Yes, I was wanting a NEW battery gauge, one that shows the percentage, not the ridiculous stock icon thats off by a mile. Also, I'm with you I dont want two battery icons up there. I guess its harder than I think it should be to create an app that does that.
I'd assume since it's the TouchWiz UI that something specific to the Captivate would have to change the icon... That's my assumption anyway, I'm not a developer.

You guys might want to try System Info Widget in the Market. Pretty good and definitely accurate.
What annoys me is that Samsung has the numerical info in the about screen, so why not just create a toggle so we can go from bar to numeric....
I think they pulled an Apple and wanted the bars to always look bigger.
I installed Battery Widget (the one with over 250K downloads)... Best thing for now...
I noticed the same thing right away... Not sure if they thought users would miss this but its a little misleading..
Battery status widget works for me.

[Q] Accurate Battery Mod

So I have updated to the latest RUU leak and things are running great, but I'm having some issues I wonder if anyone can duplicate.
I deodexed the phone and didn't have any issues, I flashed this accurate battery mod and things seemed fine, but when I wiped data after the mod was flashed it's not booting.
Now I've got a nandroid backup, so i'm not stuck or anything, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of an accurate battery mod made for the new leak?
I know two ways you can try to get an accurate reading of your battery. 1. In recovery wipe battery stats after a couple bump charges. 2. Or download battery calibration from the market. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the advice, but I was actually not talking about the battery being inaccurate, I'm looking for a mod that changes the default battery status icon in the notification bar to include a percentage of battery life left.

If your ROM is deodexed then use UOT kitchen .. because of the framework you wont find a standard mod for a battery with percentages. I personally like the honeycomb battery.
Whoops my bad. Sorry.
Thanks alot, I'll give that a shot.

Changing battery indicator on stock?

Is there anything that I can flash to get a battery indicator in the notification bar that shows the percentage on stock?
I don't want to flash another rom since stock had been stable for me.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
You might be able to pull the framework-res.apk from the phone and edit it, then push it back. But I haven't seen anything to prove you can. I think stock had an LG version of framework-res as well, not sure which has the battery stuff in it.
I had the Big battery Notifier installed and it showed the percentage in increments of 1%. After having uninstalled it, I find it more bearable to go all day without charging, because when I see the battery draining and dropping 1% within a few minutes, I get anxiety.
Now just seeing the battery icon, and how it displays just color to signify how much approximate charge there is, it feels more comforting just knowing it's more than half full without being very specific about it to make me nervous.
Bottom line, I suggest just leaving the stock battery indicator, or install a real specific one and get battery anxiety.
The Dark Sinister Taskbar available in his thread works great with the stock rom. Its s black taskbar with a blue percentage battery indicator.
Hi, I tried making my own and it is a flashable zip thru cwm.
It is for 2.2.2. Just try it. Make sure you do a nandroid backup in case something wrong happens.
I already tried it with eb1.05, sinister1.2, ultimate1.0 and stock.

Any Way To Enable Battery Percentage In The Status Bar For OP6?

Not sure if this is hidden somewhere in the settings, but can we add the percentage inside the icon? Thx.

Its not there maybe in further updates they will implement
Completely annoyed at this ^^. I just want the % like on Pixel 2 XL. Why do they do stupid things like this???
100% need to get this back. Of all the little tweaks and customizations you can do, this is what they got rid of.
I get it takes real estate in the tiny corner but give me the option.
Seems like they've heard the complains:
Question: Can you please explain why there is no option for Battery Percentage in the status bar?
Answer: Feedback received. We will support it in the next update.

For the time being, I'm using a 3rd party app from. Play store and that serves the purpose.. Battery meter BT
Gsam Battery App, shows % and tracks usage
I'm on the current Oxygen OS 5.1.9 (22_180713) but still cannot find where to enable battery percentage. I only find options to choose either battery bar, circle or percentage alone.
Any help guys?

I don't think that percent within the icon was ever the intention of that update to be honest. I ended up installing Xposed and Gravitybox to get some other things and am using circle battery with percent from that.
easy fix,
root and "Flat Style Bar Indicators"
or
aosp ROM,
which must have been installed out of the box by Oneplus !!
btw, official Oneplus ROM is trash and garbage, it's better than Samsung ultimate shi...t but still very bad.
Huge shame on Oneplus !!
Also, Huge Shame on Google for not delivering universal AOSP with critical drivers and apps !!
It's located in settings>status bar>battery style. I'm running 5.1.9 A6003
I think they are wanting the % inside the circle or bar.
From my understanding, there wasn't enough room to do both and still be legible.
Could somebody confirm OnePlus eventually implemented this?
If you post a screen shot, that would be highly appreciated.
Deciding which one of OP5T/OP6 is better suits my needs before ordering and if this feature is missing, it'd be extremely annoying.
I don't know if this is what you guys are talking about. It's fairly simple. Currently using OP6

When OP6 first came out, there wasn't option to show battery percentage.. they fixed it long time ago already. This is old thread.

Battery Percentage

Hello everyone, it's days that I try, in vain, to activate battery percentage display. In menĂ¹ settings and in particular in the "status bar" section, I can not find any option to do this.
Any suggestions?
Many thanks in advance.
I read that is coming in the next update most likely. How true? no idea but I'm sure it's coming soon.

Well that's even better. Awesome!
Hopefully this will be like the OnePlus 5 after launch. There was like 2 or 3 updates in the first 10 days or something. Bug fixes and feature add-ins
I'm using the Xposed module GravityBox to get the percentage.
Use accubattery and you will get battery percentage on left side
OP should switch to circle battery icon. Best of both worlds not much space taken up while still actually being useful by showing the percentage in the center of the circle. Probably will never happen.

You can install this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bhanu.powerbar
It can add batter percentage and also adds a a bar you can then in the phone setting hide the battery icon if you just want the percentage.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of this as it makes the damn number so small you can't read if it's a 6 or an 8 or even a 9 sometimes. The standard 100% with the symbol is needed for certain. They can still add in the percentage in the whatever icon for the ones that like it but the standard number with the % is a must I feel.
I usually have the percentagem with no icon, that's perfect for me. It doesn't had any more space and it was already in Oxygen OS, not sure why they removed it.
Lets see what they do on the next update.
battery percentage is way more important that icon,
also they can easily can add slim icon to save some space.

No, it's horrible.
I hope they will set option circle battery icon with procentage inside circle. Would not take more space and % would be there...
Heh...I didn't even know that you could have the percentage WITHOUT the icon....
Good stuff.
Do you know how to set this double sim status icon?
