I have a XDA Neo German version IPL/SPL 2.15.0001. I tried the Qtek rom with no vendor ID (Qtek shipped rom + noID.exe from Dopod noID version) and it stopped at 1% saying that the .nbf image was not made for it (but it was). I never unplugged the cable and it stayed with the 1% progress bar for a few hours. After that, something strange happened: it started flickering in/out of the bootloader mode. The frequency of the flickering increased and now the bootloader appears after a greater period of time and it stays on for 1-2 secs. What do I have to do? As I am affraid of unplugging the device (it's not even mine ).
P.S.: I tried several times to run the updater again and again, but with no result (it said it was not connected, though for a short period of time the USB icon appeared while in bootloader mode). While in bootloader only IPL & SPL fields appear, not the OS... Is this normal?
Many thanks... Urgent action needed...
hi,
try to set in bootloader and reflash with on old version of rom.
This was already an older version... And it doesn not respond to the key-combination commands (with the cable connected) ... What shall I do? Because I dont't want to unplug it and render it dead...
I solved the problem
I replaced the battery with another one without disconnecting the device. The odd thing is that the battery was 0% charged, though at the beginning of the upgrade it was 100%...
I don't advise you do to the same, as I don't really know the cause of this event.
P.S.: Use the Dopod Asia NoVendorID rom!

I didn't say that... It's obvious though: the AS connection is cut off... I emphasized the idea that the battery was deffective and discharged rapidly during the first minutes of the upgrading (when the device works solely on battery power, without being charged)... Did you get my meaning now?
hey all,
i have tried to downgrade my qtek s200 with the CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE.exe software i found here.. after everything went quite well, when the phone restarted, the screen started to flash on and off.. and when i dont take the batteries out, the screen, the power led and the bluetooth led turns on and off repeatedly..

Remove the battery - whait about 3 min. - plug ac power cable without your battery - put the battery - when the orange light on, turn on your device.
back to the life, but not solve the problem.
sorry my english, i´m from brazil. (don´t speak english)

Sounds to me that you tried to flash a Wizard-ROM on a Prophet.
This is simply impossible, so you probably bricked your device.
well its somewhat working i'm on a prophet bootloader ipl 2.09 spl 2.20 right now and i'm using a crossbow rom from the wizard section right now... (camera is not working).
what you could try is cut the charger wire open and attach the inner cable to the first battery pin (physical top) and the outer wire to the fifth pin. then go into bootloader, connect to computer and flash a prophet rom which has spl and ipl included.
dou you have a g3 or g4 device? on which spl/ipl are you right now...
I did the same thing with my s200.
I remove cable and battery, insert adapter cable and then battery until I get a steady amber light (usually takes 2-4 attempts).
When it boots up I quickly replace the adapter cable with the computer cable and Active Sync works.
I would like to reflash it but I can't since my battery is reporting 0% always, even when the battery is fully charged and it's not charging either. (And I can't get into the bootloader either.)
@crOssy: are the batteries different between models? and if so, would your proposed wiring actually work? have it been tested?
my prophet cant recognize the battery ....i can turn on the device sometimes and when i go to seetings\battery\it's 0% i have alredy try other batteries that are fine in other devices ....i try to flash the rom but the update utility cant recognize the battey and dont let me flash it help please....
oh god i am so new and fresh...so many problems with my prophet help me guys
no one can give me the drivers for the battery !!!!
i cant find it .....i think that is the solution
please help me
maybe get a new battery? AFAIK, there are no drivers for batteries

i have alredy try other batteries that are fine in other devices
the device dosent have the right drivers for the prophet because the rom get an error while flashing
Have you flashed a ROM before?
If the battery is not working in your device, try checking the connections. There are no 'drivers' for the battery, I can flash a ROM in bootloader after flashing a ROM with nothing in it, which means that the RUU is using the hardware rather than software to determine the battery status.
i cant flash again the pro+het because the update utility verify the battery status and then give an error because the prophet doesnt have more than 50 of battery . . . help please
My prophet had the same issue in the past weeks.
I had to restart several times until the phone recognize the batery.
The issue is not only at the OS level because even with the phone turned off it was not able to charge (you can see because of the orange lid).
Sometimes the phone just stoped recognizing the batery and the charge value just stops decreasing.
My guess is that this is related to some ROM's i've been testing, have you switched ROM in the past weeks?
Last night i started using iProphet 1.0.2.3 (sounds familiar? l3v5y) and until now i'm not having problems. (Just appears to consume a lot of batery but ill confirm this in the next days).
The battery drain may be because of the camera. but you can remove it if you want. (it is an installed app)
I think the issue is to do with the hardware, and so upgrading the software will not help. If your charging circuit is damaged, the battery will not be detected. If the device is under warranty, I would suggest getting it repaired...
I've just been looking at the Universal Wiki and I may have a solution:
Solution 3: Recalibrate the battery (2)
Charge the battery overnight with the supplied poweradapter, not with the USB cable
Drain the battery without SD-card, powersaving off and backlight on full
At some level, the device will turn off. Switch it on and go to the bootloader and drain the battery until it's really empty
Charge the battery again with the supplied poweradapter
The idea of this is to completely discharge and then recharge the battery, so that the battery status monitoring system in the battery is reset.
I had a same prob, tested with new battery problem continues...
also help needed over here
Hi All,
After installing Prophet_G3_G4_RadioRom_v2.69.21.exe onto my QTEK S200 it's completely dead. I cannot start it up anymore, even with the battery connected to power. The orange charging light doesn't even go on. I don't get anything here, no QTEK screen, no boot, no nothing even after pressing the button for several seconds.
Anybody knows what happened? Is my battery dead? When I connect the QTEK to the power supply without the battery inserted, the light flashes red for a short second and then... nothing... The battery was almost fully charged when I started the upgrade. IPL was at 2.20.
euh... help!!!
I've already opened a thread for this but anyway... help help
I'm afraid i cannot help you much...
When that happend to me i just made several resets and tryed to start charging until it worked.
After that i've changed the ROM i was using and my batery seems to work better now. Sometimes if i overclock it stop's getting the correct batery values but never stop charging like it used to.
Try charging with diferent methods, a couple of times i was trying to charge with the standart (power line) cable and only worked if i used usb connected to my pc. Maybe a different voltage worked... i'm not sure.
Best of luck
Hi mate...
i have the same problem tooo..
but this is because i have flashed my dopod 818pro..
i use CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE...
i can go to bootloader screen and go to the windows but i have to attached the prophet to the charger, because it will go death if just in battery mode..
please help me...
thank you...
Hi All,
I've tried to upgrade the ROM of my QTEK S200.
It got completely stuck!!! I had to remove the battery. Now it stays black. Even a hard-reset does nothing. No bootloader, no white screen, nothing. It's like the device doesn't recognize the battery anymore. Same problem with another battery. When I connect the power supply, the light stays red for 5 seconds and then goes out again. No charging (orange) light.
Does this mean that the device was short-cutted (hardware problem) or can this be fixed with some manipulation?
Anybody an idea how I can fix the hardware (if broken) myself? Can't be to difficult if it just blew a fuse ;-)
Thanks
If the accu not charge, I think he is dead. You need a new one. For flashing new rom, you need a good acco over 50 %. Than you go to bootloader modus and flash a WM5 Rom WM5Rom.

Yep, hes dead alrite, make a good paper weight sorry bro...
not the battery
of course I tried a new battery
same problem
Can you make a downgrade to WM5 ? Ist the battery charged now ?
DC Adapter 4,5 V
I had the same problem.
Remove the battery and connect the pin nr 1 (nearest to the cam) to + and the pin nr 5 to -. I think 3,7 to 5 V is ok. Then bootloader and connect to computer.
Don't blame me if anything goes bad ;-)
how to proceed?
I've tried to do as explained...
I've taken an old charger (5v) and connected the cables (black/white striped to 1 and black to 5). I'm not 100 percent sure about + and -, but normally black is always -, if I'm not mistakin'
What should happen? How should I proceed?
My device does nothing... No light. Power button does nothing, hard reset does nothing.
Does this procedure work with a QTEK S200?
Maybe the charger (old gsm) is too old or broken?
Maybe + is black...
Sooo many options ;-)
Worked on mine S200
Of course You must know if the adapter is working and +/-.
When I connected 1 to + and 5 to - I could operate the mobile as if the battery was mounted and working.
My problem began because the battery isn't charging in bootloader mode.
And I'm still stuck there... Because it's a G4 device flashed with G3 SPL... Anyone got a suggestion how to solve this?

I Did the same thing '''''HELP"""
What you should do
Keep the device on for 2 hours connect it to the electricity.
Install the original rom with the PDA connected like that to the PC, if it does not enter the Rom update continue trying by doing a hard reset with the stylus and pressing the left com button on the left side of the device, then retry the rom install, if it says unable to connect continue trying, using the procedure i explained before, thats what i did when the same stuff happen to me i was without my device working for a month, now i´m using WM6 with the Diamond Rom, so its possible, to do this you just have to keep trying.
my prophet is block and after try of hard reboot is dont turn on.. its not turn on on any way, no detect charger ether ( no red led ) battery was almost full when its go off..
plz help, can i try 1-5 pins solution?

My friend. A few people have tried the pin method and one or two have succeeded. IMHO i would not try it, for fear of frying your phone, yourself or starting a fire.
Take out the battery for a good couple of hours. Take out SIm card and SD card. Put battery back in and try to charge for at least 5 hours, even if the light does not show (might just be LED issue).
Then see if you can start in boot loader, u now how to yes? (keep camera button pressed, soft reset with stylus, then let go of camera button after few sconds). What happens?
pins to power
I've tried connecting the extreme small pins to the (big) cables of the charger but nothing happens over here. The screen stays black.
To All,
Any hints on how to connect these cables to the pins, without the fact that they're constantly coming off the pins and constantly touching other pins?
You try and tell me about your experience ;-)
revive prophet revive ;-)
I was just playing with my qtek when I noticed that after connecting and disconnecting it to the AC for 5 times or so (with red light going on and off for a second), it tries to startup, but drops dead after a fraction of a second. Damned ;-) No chance of going into bootloader.
Almost there ;-))

keep it plugged in for about 5 hours, dont play with it or turn it on lol, give a go unless u have done already and just havent said
Direct Connection to 220v doesn't work
The workaround of connecting the pins directly to the charger doesn't seem to work on a QTEK S200 G4.
Since mine is a G4, I wasn't lucky... I'm left with a cut charger cable.
I'll try to charge it for 5 hours but since no led is going on I don't think this will have any effect.
Listen keep it plug in to the electricity for 12 hours, then try to put it in bootloader mode by pressing the, com button on the left side of the device after you hard reset it, with the stylus after you manage to enter the bootloader mode, you only need to follow the steps described on several posts on the forum.
if nothing works connect the device and try to install the original rom, my device is a g3 so i´m not sure if the g4 works the same way.
I'm hoping some of you wise heads on here might be able to help me out with a problem that has got me totally and utterly stumped!
Last week I was using my One X and noticed the battery was down to aorund 14%. I plugged it into a charger and nothing happened...no light...nothing. I tried various different chargers and cables to pc etc and nothing seemed to do anything.
After leaving the phone plugged into the mains for a few hours, I noticed that a very slow/long flashing red/amber light appeared. It kind of stays on for 5 seconds and then off for the same amount of time. I left the phone in this state for about 14 hours and when turning on it would say battery was somewhere between 0%, 1% and 2% and would promptly switch itself off.
I messed about for hours on end trying many different button combinations, sim in/out and came to this bizarre conclusion.........If I plug the phone into the mains for a few minutes, then press power and volume down to get to the HBOOT menu then hold power in again to reboot, the phone reboots into the OS and is functional. It still reads as having 0% or 1% battery and shows as not charging, but it must be getting some juice for it to be working. If I leave the phone in this state for a while I can then unhook it from the charger and use it as normal, even though battery is displaying as 0%. I can use the phone like this for some time, although the battery does not appear to last as long.
Also, the phone is not recognised at all by the PC when plug in via usb when in android os - nothing at all shows in device manager, but it is recognised from the fastboot menu and tries to install device drivers.
Has anybody got any clue if I can save my HOX or am I without a paddle?? Many thanks in advance

Is your phone completely Stock? or is it bootloader unlocked/rooted? I'm pretty positive this is a hardware issue, you can rule it out by RUUing if you're Stock. If you're not stock, you can still RUU but if you should S-OFF first.

Thanks for the quick repIy. I was hoping you weren't going to say a hardware issue :crying: The phone is totally stock and unrooted. This might be a stupid question, but if I RUU will I lose all the data on my phone? Also any idea which RUU to use? My HOX is an unlocked, unbranded version bought in the UK.

Sorry for the bad news, I would repost in the international one x forum as you have a different phone as us Quad core VS Dual core. I don't think the response will be much different but they should also have the proper RUU links for your phone. Good Luck.
Ok I'll do that. Thanks for the advice, it is greatly appreciated.

Hello there!
I have same issue, but when I flash a kernel. I flashed the AlexV 2.4 RC kernel and usb masstorage works again. BUT becuse I wipe battery status some times now if y boot the phone chargin, it sais that is chargin, but when I disconnect the cable still chargin
Anyway, I have HTC One X tegra 3 quadcore from argentina. And all this chargin issues is about the kernel/rom tweaks. If you boot on recovery and the phone charge ok (sho the led) and the mount of the sd on recovery works, its 100% rom/kernel problem.
