If you disable connect through USB in activesync, then plugin the device, and then run a WM5 (AKU2.2) No Vendor ROM (Check the Wiki or the FTP server). You should be able to recover your device.
It does sound like a failed upgrade, but it should be fixable.

OK,
if your device can fall into the bootloader mode, you can save it easily.
1. force device to bootloader mode manually (please see howto in the link within my signature),
2. ooops, before that, you should had prepared(downloaded) the PVtemp or NVID to flash your device to WM5. (also provided in my thread),
YOU CAN DO IT !!

I did upgrade in my O2 Neo, but after upgrade rom i´ts don´t turn on
What i cam do ?
O2 Neo is not a Magician, it is a Prophet (I think)
Anyway, we need more infor. What you do use to upgrade, where did you get it from, how do you perform your upgrade, any error message during upgrade, what's the sign now, all dark, hang on a particular screen, etc.
My Pocket is PM300 HTC
I did upgrade, and this show 100% and reset the pocket after upgrade, by this dont work, the screen splash blink only and turn off.
The led Red and Blue is blinks.
I used RomUpdateUtility HTC and the rom image i used Xda_Minis_Upgrade_v2.21.4.101
You used the ROM of a XDA-miniS (aka `Wizard`) to upgrade your `Prophet`. You are seriously screwed. You may have made yourself the most expensive paper weight you ever had.
Anyway, try see if you can boot into bootloader mode (3 colour screen). If you can do that, there are still hope.

I need more details. That do you mean by `This show`? Where is these information shown? in the bootloader (3 colour screen) or the initial screen where your phone freeze. If you were able to get into the bootloader, you might able to get your Prophet ROM into it. Just start on bootloader mode, and plug in the USB. Activesync will not tell you anything, but you ought to able to still upgrade/refresh a Prophet ROM into it (eg running those ROM with EXE).
Can someone confirm if the ROM he used has IPL/SPL in or not?
Mod, can you move this to Prophet section.
More detail
These information shown in the bootloader (3 colour screen)
the initial screen show only O2.
i cant get bootloader, the Prophet only flashes.
The Activesync not tell anything.
I need move this for Prophet ?

Your statements are contradicting. You said you get these information from bootloader screen but you said you can get bootloader?
Anyway, if can get the bootloader screen. Just stay there. Connect it to your PC. And choose a *Prophet* ROM with EXE extension to run on your PC. It works most of the time. For step by step instruction, do a search here. I bet there are lots of similiar cases.
I can´t get bootloader
The screen with three coulours show about 3 seconds and this turn off.
I hope I'm wrong, but if your bootloader is gone, you device is gone. Hope others can help.
Was trying to upgrade a new WM6 rom and it kept getting stuck @ 99%
Went through the recovery process and it was fine the first time but the second time Activesync stopped finding the device so I've got no communication between the Phone (XDA Mini S Wiza200) and the PC.
Can anyone help. I tried removing the battery but still starts up the same, just the red, green and blue screen with this on.
IPL 2.21.0001
SPL 2.21.0001
Is it a brick or is there anything I can do to recover it.
Thanks for any help.

I have the same problem. Initially, I tried doing the flash one my home computer with Vista, it didn't work, so I decided to try it on my work one and now I am stuck on the bootloader. Any advice?
I just downloaded the original O2 rom setup program, connected my pda to usb and it shows "usb" in the bottom left corner of the pda's screen.
Then start the setup program which contains the O2 rom and that was it, back to normal again.
You don't need Activesync running either.
I was trying to unlock my at&t tilt and this is what happened:
I got to the tri-color screen but it didn't let me do anything after that.
This is what i see on the tri-color screen now:
.............................RUUNBH
KAIS1*0
SPL-1.56.0000
CPLD-8
I've tried to hardSPL, soft-reset, and hard-reset. but no matter what i do, the tri-color screen is still showing.
Please help!!!
Download mtty.exe
set the port to USB
plug in your phone
type: set 14 0
Then type: boot
You should see some output in mtty and your phone should boot..
Good luck!

Do you mean that you have tried to install the original AT&T Tilt ROM.
Try this one and let me know how it goes. Make sure that your USB connection in activesync is disabled.

1.)extract the file mtty.exe to your desktop.
2.)Double click on the mtty.exe and look at the screen shot below to select USB.
3.) Now type in what was posted above.

Yes I do. In my signature link it has a couple of splash screens "alltheway splash screens" that you can change too. Pick which one you like and it will change the splash screen. I am also including just the original AT&T Screen if you like. If you want send me a 240 x 320 image and I can make a custom splash screen for you as well. I'm glad you phone is up and running again, and I was able to help.

What kind of phone do you have TyTN II or a Tilt?
If you have Tilt download the ROM that I posted a couple of post up. If you have an HTC download this ROM and install it. Make sure you have your USB connections disabled in ActiveSync.

I had the same problem with it not wanting to flash, the only way I got around it was to take the Ruu_Signed.nbh file that comes with duttys rom and rename it KAISIMG.nbh, format the SD, put the file on it, and hard reset the phone with only that file on it. Installed like a champ.

Hello,
I have the exact same problem for a tytn2, with the exact same output. ive run the mtty commands, it did the reboot, went to the initial config settings (clock, password, etc), then it installed the HTC customisations and then, after the automatic reboot, it returned to the Bootloader mode.
Any other things i can try on, eventually other mtty commands?
thanks

surprisingly enough, it went ok after i tried another couple of times. It just rebooted normally and did not need any initial settings or HTC Customization, it just loaded the OS and I was then able to install Hard-SPL.

Dang.
Last night my ATT Tilt running Dutty's V4 just randomly went into tricolor (no text at all) mode and I can't get it to reboot at all. It was just sitting on the charger. Might be toast.
When I go into bootloader mode I get:
KAIS100 MFG
SPL-1.0.OliPof
CPLD-8
I've tried mtty with usb disabled in activesync and just get "usb not available"
I've tried flashing several ATT roms including the one in this thread and they all fail between 1% and 30% - then back to nothing but rainbows. I'm at a loss.
XP Pro machine.
Okay. I tried to install one of Dutty's ROM's that can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398271.
I read through all the stickys and FAQ's first. I read Dutty's wiki, the Kaiser wiki, and the flashing new ROM wiki. I followed all of the directions and followed Dutty's instructions to the T.
After installing the HardSPL found here(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334679), I backed up all my personal info/data.
Then used the Custom RUU Dutty supplied and proceed through the ROM flashing process. Everything went fine and I got no error messages. But when my phone booted up I got a black screen. I waited but my phone stayed on the black screen. So I pressed the standby button on and off a few times and eventually I wound up with a black screen that had about a million multi-colored speckled dots all over it. And I have been stuck on this screen since. I've tried soft-reseting and hard resetting but nothing is working.
I am Using an ATT Tilt BTW.
Please Help me. My phone is my life so right now I'm feeling like Dionne Farris.....Hopeless....
ahh that sounds like a nightmare... wish i could help

well it appears to be a bad flash. unplug your device from the usb cable, restart your computer, and flash again.
Hopefully after your computer restarts it will recognize the device as being connected. If it doesn't just double click on your windows mobile device center icon and it should connect. After connecting just reflash the rom

I had the same problem, what i did was read all through the thread of the ROM or while inside the thread i use the search function and type in the keywords like "blank screen" it happened to me exactly, but i didnt bother to post since i found the answer, 1 user said flash it to WM 6.1 i did exactly that and it helped! some said not necessary, but i didnt see that instruction so i flashed the 6.1 blindly and fortunately it worked...

Thanks to everybody for their help.

I have a Kaiser which I updated a while ago with WM6.1 official Belgian dutch. Since it became way to slow, I wanted to hard reset the device. Since a couple of hours, it has been stuck on the green WM screen saying The device is erasing the memory, Please wait...
I have been looking through the forum, but have not found the same issue.
It does not come up in acctive sync, so a normal relaod is not possible. Any ideas?

manually go into bootloader if you want to reflash the rom, if phone is powered on hold camera button in and the softreset button at the same time! it sounds like you possibly have had a bad flash, OR you had a bad download!!!
Not possible to flash anything
what I've tried so far:
- activate active sync to install hardSPL. Not working
- install HardSPL through microSD. Not working
- install ROM through SD. Not working
I tried a non HCSD for a change, and then I see the loading scree flashing up, but quickly says No rom found and returns to the bootloader screen.
The only thing that works is load the bootloader (red green blue white) into a screen that says:
KAIS130
SPL-3.29.0000
CPLD-8
Serial
When connected to USB, it says USB, but no disk is showing in Explorer or any connection is made to AS
The only thing I've done in the past is flash the 6.1 rom through the system provided by HTC with a file called RUU_Kaiser_HTC_NLD_3.29.404.0_radio_sign_25.83.40.02_1.65.16.25_Ship.exe
Please help, I really like this phone and hate to loose it
put it into bootloader, connect it to the computer and then flash one of the htc roms. make sure its an htc rom, you cant flash a custom rom cause you dont have hardspl
I have not been able to find the original rom, only the exe from htc which says Connect with active sync. Do I have to set it in bootloader and then execute the program?
Solved
Just want to let you know I sorted it out!
Flashing the original rom does not need active sync, the bootloader USB connection is sufficient.
After this, the phone restarted in 'Erasing memory' mode, but was able to finish it and reinstall the whole rom.
I believe I got the taste of it and will start testing some other roms...
