Has anyone had a bad dealing with this company? Last week I ordered a battery and cover combo for my Cingular 8125 and while my credit card has been charged i have not gotten a confirm email saying my order has been shipped or anything. I sent in another request for them to contact me and am waiting to hear from them.
Does anyone have a phone number to contact them? I found the compnay as it advertises on this site.

ok 42 views any idea on a number for the company?

I ordered a case, and it did not fit my 8525 the way it should. The cover was sewn 1/8" too low. It worked, but not to my specs. They wanted me to pay to send it back for their check. I decided not to send it back and will just live with the case, which isn't too bad, but not perfect.

how did you get into contact with them? got a phone number on the shipping lable? I think I am gonna call my CC company tomorrow since its been days and no response.

228 views any other ideas?

my advise would be. get yourself a better heading. most of the 'views' you've got probably are curious members, thinking that this thread may have some recommendation of cheap deals that this website provides. You got your crowd, but probably the wrong crowd. Dont put too much hope on it.

true @hanmin.
But it could be worse =).
A couple posts above yours i saw a person offering to sell me custom-made credit cards.

well a package came last night, I wont get to open it until later today so I am thinking they never sent the tracking information.

warning for online buyers

Hi please be weary if using mobile fun ltd (UK),for acces or pda's.
really dodgy place.
I sent a postal order on the 3rd jan recorded delivery and it was cashed on the 5th.
The company still havent sent the item,Despite me emailing them sevral times ive had no reply,
I have called there office ,and was talked to like i was lying, they refused to belive i had sent funds, evensaying post officer worker must have stolen the postal orders,
I gave them the refrence numbers for the recorded devliery and the postal orders
The royal mail gave me the name of the person, who took delivery and it is one of there workers.
now they hang up each time i call.
the cost ive spent of calls alone has tripled the cost of the item ,never mind the time and effort.
im not trying to knock the company but i only ordered a mad case,id hate to see anyone else here order something expensive like a PDA and get this treatment.
rant over please be carefull buying online or via post
thanks
I used to deal with MobileFun a year or two ago. This sounds very unlike them and perhaps there is a simple answer or misunderstanding. I used to deal with them on a B2B basis and they were always very good.
Perhaps try and get in touch with them again..
thanks mate,
i have been back in touch a total of about 4 hrs on the phone today,
they said they will get back to me lol,
i dont hold much hope after them being so rude and hanging up all the time,
i was always very polite and had all the info at hand for them yet they still had a really bad attitude
uk customer service tho i guess, always seems to be poor.
Well I hope you get a good result in the end. Really odd as I said they were really good....perhaps managements changed since then.
the really fustrating thing was there attitude that maybe i hadnt sent the funds or it had been stolen on route,
then when i gave proof of delivery to there staff, not such much a as sorry or dont worry sir we will get the goods dispatched asap
they defo wont be getting my biz again, thank god i hadnt ordered anything epxensive
yer perhaps so,
shame they look great from the site, alos the fact they kept saying hang on sir ill check the computer then hanging up grrr
oh well lol
hows that for luck in finding this post  ...as i was just about to buy something from them mmmm now i think i will wait and see if i can get a better price elsewhere
I just bought some stuff from that company - a screen protector and couple of cleaning products, nothing expensive. Haven't had any issues so far apart from the screen protector being out of stock but that's getting shipped out to me today (as informed by a SMS from them). The other stuff arrived without a hitch but I didn't have to deal with anyone there directly. I hope the incident in this thread is a rare occurance and I wish you the best of luck with resolving it.
Regards,
Neil.
I've certainly had no problems with them in the past (including a purchase made last week that was with me within 48hrs), so I'm sure you've just found a glitch in the system!
I got a cradle for my Orange M500 from them. No problems.
Sorry you've had a bad experience, maybe you should write a letter to the Managing Director. That can get results sometimes.
thanks guys
im getting really cheesed off with there attitude, each call i make they ask for a refrence number(which is only gained when using credit card or online )the fact i used postal orders and mail order throws them totally.
ive logged a complaint and they now have found the recorded delivery data,(funny how if turns up now)
but they have lost the postal orders and cant tell me if they have been cashed or not.
they now say if this is resolved by the end of biz today, then they will send me a free case the same as ordered,
ok BUT it aint free as i have paid already and its not my fault they have lost the postal orders,
this has taken since the third of jan,and loads of emails and honestly hours on the phone, ive sent scans of the recorded devlivery and the postal orders stubs, all dates and any help i can offer.
they havent even offered compesation or really said an apology.
well my sd cards and car charger deffo wont be coming via them.
9 days to get an answer(not a result as yet! just a reply) thats really poor serivce.
thanks guys

verizon just got 80 tp2 in stock

verizon just got 80 tp2 in stock as of 9:15 am EST 10-28-09... not online call to get one
Wow 80.. for the whole US of A! That's like 1.6 phones per state!
to late just bought all 80 Ill sell them to ya for umm double the price LOL
Rep I spoke to on Monday (quoting an e-mail he read from) said 420 units on Tuesday, 500 on Wednesday.
Just called and still OOS.

when i called in this morning @9:15 my sales rep said he didnt have any, so i started the prossess of buying a whitestone, half way through the process, he got a notification that 80 were available, and I bought one, so they did become available for a very short time this morning
At 10:00 my rep called and said there 24 available. I ordered 3. The web site now says they are out of stock.
I'm selling a brand new, never turned on, still in plastic Verizon HTC Touch Pro 2 with many extras (2 batteries, Ghost Armor, PDair case). PM me if you might be interested. It's a replacement phone since my first was defective. But I think i want to go with the Droid instead. So might as well sell now while there's none out there!
newb question, hopefully topic-related
so what's causing verizon's shortage/out of stock situation? is it a 6.5 update? or is it purely just a lack of sustainable inventory? im up for either the TP2 or Imagio...prefer the TP2, but if it's a lost cause, i need to move on
thanks,
nadz
Verizon never planned on this being a high volume phone and ordered quantities to reflect that and are ordering based on demand.
The main warehouse that ships them only had around 600 at launch if that gives you any idea.
ah ok, makes sense
thanks, im glad to hear that...glad it's not a run of bad phones or anything
just curious- where do you get such specific information? out of all the CSRs i've talked to, no one could land me anywhere near an answer like that.
thanks again,
-nadz
you guys will have to keep us posted on if you actually receive the phone or not. i will probably be extremely pissed if you do though honestly since i have had a pending order since 10/16 that has yet to be filled. i feel like they should fulfill existing orders before they sell more to everyone else. i was working with a rep that said she was going to help me out since she had just helped someone else secure one and i won't be very happy if she let me down. cause i stopped calling because she said she was going to take care of it for me. i think she comes in at 7am so i'll give her a call on my way to school to see what's going on. i had heard 10/29 was a rumored restock date (came along with the 10/15 rumor that turned out to be true) so maybe there was some truth in that too but 80? i'm sorry but for a company that large, 80 is a completely unacceptable amount. i'm almost tired of waiting but i don't really want the Droid and the Imagio is keyboardless.

do not buy from gadgetbuyers.co.uk or oddsanpods.co.uk

After sending me some generic chin-woo products which wasn't as per the image or description. After 3 weeks now they have completely ignored my request for an RMA number.
Avoid.
Another to avoid
Avoid the cradles from seller "U-Bop" on Amazon, too. Same thing, great picture of a small cradle. Slightly more expensive than the other clunky big ones. I order it and they send...a big clunky one. Then want me to pay return shipping, then delay my refund. Then they delete the listing on Amazon, (with my negative review) wait a few days, and re-list the exact same thing. Same fake picture and all. Not cool. I put up another negative review calling them on it and it's still up for now. Amazon backed me up, though, and I got a full refund after filing a dispute.

I had a similar issue with U-Bop. Ordered a case for my Desire; it didn't arrive so they sent out another in a different colour. When it arrived it looked totally different to the picture, had holes in it, and ended up falling apart.
After I sent them photos and was issued a refund they had the cheek to ask me to remove my negative feedback!
Bump - I would hate for another member of this forum to have this issue with one of these sellers.
cardiak thaks for the heads up was just about to impulse buy some stuff from here then thought to check here for reviews - now looking to get a cradle, battery & case from elsewhere!
Avoided!
Bad Company
I ordered an htc tytn ii replacement battery however when it arrived I noticed some problems with it. Firstly the battery dimensions are not identical to my original battery, only a few millimetres smaller in places however this means the battery does not sit as tight as the previous battery. what this means is that while it does charge and then function, when the phone is moved the battery loses its connection and the phone powers off! I'm also slightly skeptical in the authenticity of the battery, when compared to the original, the writing is clearly smaller and it looks possibly as if someone has copied the image from an actually battery and stuck a sticker of it on top of a cheaper battery. The general design of the battery also differs in places, most prominently on the back of the battery!
I tried every method of contacting them and absolutely no response!! Too bad, I didn't read your stories, from now on I will definitely avoid them.

At least you have had your item!! I've emailed numerous times to get my item or even my money back and they seem to think it's fun ignoring me!! Do you by any chance know a phone number where I can contact them?
Thanks
Kez
Call your Bank
Hey Kez,
If you want to know what you are up against, do a quick Google search for "gadgetbuyers.co.uk". This post here, and another like it also on XDA are right there on the first page, right after the links to their website.
You probably just want your money back, and you are not obligated to track down any vendor that ignores you. That's just a stalling tactic they use.
Instead, call the bank that issued the card you used to pay for the purchase and initiate a chargeback for the transaction. Just tell the bank they did not deliver anything, and that they are ignoring your repeated attempts to contact them. You will get your money back, and they will be charged another fee for doing the chargeback.
You have to keep good records here, save your emails and write down each attempt to phone them, etc. When you talk to the bank, have everything together in a time line, and then call. It's surprisingly easy to do, and it works.
Good luck and post back here again if you run into trouble, or just PM me.
Thanks for the warning. I'll keep on the lookout.
Thanks for the info. Will not buy there.

Never ordering from online T-Mo store again

I went on-line this past Friday to order the MHL/HDMI cable for my HTC Sensation from the T-Mo store. At the end of checkout I was asked 5 security questions...I flubbed the first question because I wasn't paying attention. Some of the other questions were kind of strange. i.e. They asked me if I knew a Anble S****. It was my family last name but who has "Able" as a first name??? The best I could figure was they may have meant "Angie" who was a family member.
Anyways, I flunked the security questions and was given a phone number and order# so I could call and verify the order over the phone. I had the call the next day because that office was closed.
I called and cleared up the order and then the sales rep who was helping me could not find the item I was trying to order. Trying to be helpful, I found the item on my own at the on-line T-Mo store but it had no SKU or part #. The sales rep also told me he could not access the same web site because they were restricted from doing so!!!???? I was thinking of e-mailing him the link to the video cable but he couldn't even get to it.
He had to put a note in my order stating what the item was so some other dept. could try to find it...
So predictably, 6 business days later (I paid for overnight delivery) I still had not received my order. I called 30 minutes ago and the sales rep told me the order still had NOT been placed yet AND it would take 24-72 hours (business days) before the order would be even cleared by another dept. Now what the heck does that mean?. I told the rep I was not very happy and a few other choice words.
At least I hope I get an e-mail when they finally find the cable and mail it to me...the next time I'll order from Hong Kong and probably get it faster..haha.
That sucks. You should at least get the shipping charge refunded or changed since it's taking them so long. Are these not available in store?
No MHL/HDMI cables at the local T-Mo store
Last weekend I did go to my local T-Mo store and they only had cases and screen protectors for the HTC Sensation. I was not really expecting too much since the Sensation is so new. I asked the sales girl when they might be getting anything in and she had no clue. The impression I got was she was not expecting any video cables to come in.

If it is, the devices were probably obtained through questionable methods.
it's odd that 54 have supposedly been sold, but the seller has 0 feedback.

ok, let us know. seems like possibly he just showed up with all these devices that he got somehow, and al the sales have occurred in the last day... so no time for feedback to even come in.
If a deal seems too good to be true....it most likely is.
eBay SUCKS!!!!
As an experienced eBay buyer and seller, I can assure you, it's a scam. No one lands 100 new phones, starts an ebay account and then tries to dump them all for next to nothing
And even if it's not a scam, eBay will shut down his account and force him to refund almost all of the buyers (if not every single one)
I have learned that if you somehow set off eBay's flagging they will shut you down, whether you're legit or not.
I bought some Klipsch Image S4 headphones from a seller and they were legit. Seller has 100% feedback and has sold about 40 of them so far. 2 weeks later his account gets shut down by eBay.
RANT START
Case in point, I tried selling some movies I bought in bulk and after a certain point (sold about 3) eBay was convinced I was selling bootleg copies, no matter what I told them. At first they told me my listings did not comply the guidelines and policies. To make matters worse, I was on the phone with them for hours, genuinely trying to figure out where I went wrong. Finally they sent me a notice of counterfeiting, and I was to cease listing my movies, or my account would be frozen. And my customers were still leaving me +++++ feedback as well!!!!!!! eBay told me that if I'm not an authorized seller such as [insert big box electronics store here], I can't possibly have such a big supply of movies and therefore they *MUST* be counterfeit. I guess even shrink wrapped DVDs with seals and all is not enough. I don't even think they would let me sell if I included a document of authenticity. Damn bastards. I do what I can to make ends meet and eBay is just out to screw me over.
Sorry all, RANT OVER
