I am planning to buy a android tablet for my mom which she will be taking back to her country. Her basic requirements are,
1. Video calling.
2. Movies
3. Web browsing and Mail
Wifi only tablets are fine. But i am looking for some tablet which is reliable that at least wont fail in the next 1 year. I have researched and found the following quite good.
1. asus transformer tf300
2. Lenovo Yoga 10
3. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (10.1-Inch, White) 2013 Model
Can anyone suggest me the one which could fit my requirements ? Also i am not sure whether to get a 8 inch or 10 inch tablet. As of now i am looking for 10 inch tablet my mother's major use will be Skype and movies. Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
There are 3 threads devoted to discussions about devices, please repost your question in one of these three threads: The what should I buy thread or the The Device Suggestion Thread or the The Device Comparison Thread.
I need a Pixel 5 to support a hearing aid (support BT5.0 and ASHA protocol). Android 10 or better required.
Personally, I need root for Titanium, FX, and GSam Battery Monitor.
I assume it's best to buy a brand agnostic phone - source with sane price?
I tried searching here for the Pixel 5 rooting how-to but came up empty - link please.
Here's your device forum Section for information, questions, etc. Rooting would be in the Guide section threads:
Google Pixel 5
The Google Pixel 5 is a 6" phone with a 1080x2340p resolution display. The Qualcomm SM7250 Snapdragon 765G chipset is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The main camera is 12.2+16MP and the selfie camera is 8MP. The battery has a 4080mAh capacity.

Uh... maybe I'm close to brain dead, but all I see are how-to's about installing various ROM's. I'm looking for a plain vanilla, just rooting the phone, rooting how-to for Pixel 5.

Great thanks for that. I had an utter brain burp on sweating buying a phone V.11. It's been too long since I've a device I could an OTA with. LOL
Hi all, sorry if this isn't in the relevant section as I couldn't find one for the original Pixel XL that I have.
My question is, my phone is now stuck at Android 10 and showing signs of battery loss and low internet connectivity, Iv'e been a Google phone stalwart since the original Samsung Galaxy, LG Nexus etc but now need to upgrade.
I don't want to buy a lesser model than the new 6 which is due for release this year but not too fussed about 5g so what are my best options? Pixel 4 / 4a / 5?
Thanks for any replies.

I don't get the question. you want no less than a Pixel 6, but you're asking which to get the 4, 4a, or 5? They're all lesser than the pixel 6. I'd go for the pixel 4a 5g though (different generation than the 4a). It's like the the pixel 5 with a little bigger screen and a headphone jack. The upshot is that the retail price is $200 less. I got one for $220 after trading in my pixel 2xl.
Thanks for the reply and yeah sorry, I worded that wrong. I meant, I won't be opting for the 6 at this time due to costs. I see the 4a 5g to be a good option but unsure about the lack of 5g coverage in my area. Would it be worthwhile? I think I know the answer to my own question really! Google Pixel 4a 5g.
I've ordered the Google Pixel 4a 5g. Thanks.

cool but i hope the performance is the same as the other models
Hello!
Is there a good reason to wait for the Google Pixel Fold instead of the Samsung Fold Z4?
From:
1) what you know for these phones,
2) your own experience with z4
3) your wider experience of Google vs Samsung
Thanks!
AFAIK there’s no solid information about any release date as yet, as Google hasn’t even confirmed that a foldable device will be launched. There was even some speculation that the Pixel foldable project had been cancelled.
