I am planning to buy a android tablet for my mom which she will be taking back to her country. Her basic requirements are,
1. Video calling.

3. Web browsing and Mail
Wifi only tablets are fine. But i am looking for some tablet which is reliable that at least wont fail in the next 1 year. I have researched and found the following quite good.
1. asus transformer tf300
2. Lenovo Yoga 10
3. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (10.1-Inch, White) 2013 Model
Can anyone suggest me the one which could fit my requirements ? Also i am not sure whether to get a 8 inch or 10 inch tablet. As of now i am looking for 10 inch tablet my mother's major use will be Skype and movies. Any help appreciated.

[Resolved] Tablet Seeker

I am looking to buy a tablet preferrably android. I've been comparing android tabs and ipads from what i gather apple isn't the greatest in the tablet world. That's fine by me considering the prices, I'm basically looking for a general consensus. Which tablet in your opinion would you consider to be the "best android tablet"?
Big touch screen, great video quality and viewability, netflix, SD Card Reader, forward and rear facing cameras, USB 2.0 & Bluetooth are must haves.
I'm quite fond of the specs for the:
Asus Transformer Tablet 32 gig mem.
&
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 with 16 gig mem.
Also what reliable facial recognition apps for unlocking the tablet are there?
Not resolved my apologies i believe i posted in the wrong section.
Hell i think i found a similar one at only half the price

[Q] Quickest rooted 10" tablet

Since there is an RDP app as well as Team viewer available for android I am looking at getting a 10" android tablet instead of a Windows tablet. I have read quite a few reviews and I would like to hear some feedback from actual users now. I need one that has good reliable Wi-Fi capabilities since a lot of times I will be remoting to other devices. I also need a microsd slot. I also need at least a 1280x800 display. I had looked at the Nexus 10 but no microsd. Right now I am leaning towards the Samsung Note 10.1(the new version), Asus transformer Pad, or possibly the Galaxy Note 8. I am open to any other tablet as well as long as it meets my requirements.

Yep, the note10 and the trasformer are pretty good choice, I also recommend to check the Sony Xperia Z tablet:

[Q] which 10 inch android tablet with 2 GB RAM to buy ?

I need your help in figuring out which 9-10 inch android tablet to buy. I am looking for a second tablet via ebay or Amazon around $200. Based on past experience with multiple tablets, in spite of all the pronouncement about android memory management, I have found tablets with 1 GB RAM laggy. Of late, I have loved using the 2013 Nexus 7 tablet (on kit kat and lollipop) and now would like to get a bigger android tablet for reading PDF text books. I am not fussy about getting the highest possible screen resolution. Right now, ASUS MeMO Pad FHD 10 seems to have the right specs at a very reasonable price, although some people have complained about certain apps not working well with the Intel Atom Z2560 processor. Can you suggest a few alternative choices ?
Thanks

Need advice which tablet I should buy

IHello guys. I'm new here. I need advice from you which tablet should I buy.
Tablets which I can buy are: Acer Iconia One B1-730 and Lenovo A7-10
These tablets are about same price in my country (low budget tablets, can't buy more expensive).
Why I choose Acer: because this model come with 16gb storage and 2x cams(5 and 2 mp)
Why I choose Lenovo: looking bigger, and I think it can be upgraded to 5.0 lollipop and have gratis external keyboard and 16gb microSD in market where I found it, but I don't like it because have very poor cam.
FOR WHAT I WILL USE TABLET?: I'm starting medical university this year so some of my books are eBooks (my anatomy atlas) so I need for reading, surfing and multimedia (watch some episodes) .
Which of these two is better?
Thanks
Well if the camera isn't a factor, go with lenovo. Use your phone for pictures.

NEW Android Tablets with Keyboard Docks....

First, I hope this is the right place to post this.... I have been on XDA forums for a while but most of the time has been spent on specific device forums.
That out of the way:
I have spent the last few weeks scouring the internet for (recently released or soon to be released) 9”-11” Android tablets with purpose built, keyboard dock systems and Android 6.0+. Can anyone tell me why are there so many older models but nothing new? There are tons of new Windows tablets with keyboard docks but almost 0 Android based. Is MS pressuring the MFG's to not make devices which could compete with the Surface or are Android tablets+keyboards just not popular?
A perfect example of what I am looking for would be the Asus Transformer (TF303CL). The only issue is that is a few years old.
So far the only new candidates I can find are the RCA series (either the Viking 2 or Galileo Pro), the Pixel C which is very costly when purchased with keyboard, and the new Lenovo Yoga book which is an oddity with the dual screens and high price. Unfortunately, the RCA tablets have minimal screen resolution (Viking 2 is 1280x800) which is a problem as I would like to use the tablet for Remote Desktop/VNC while at job sites. I would be preferable to not be constrained when remoting and would like something 1080p or better.
Can anyone point me to a tablet (released or soon to be released) with decently high resolution, Android 6.0+ and with a non-afterthought docking system?
Thanks, any help is appreciated!
