After 5.1 update my s22 ultra started showing white streak of line at upper left corner to front camera. This is seen only during waking up of screen.
Lot many such threads in Samsung forum too..
Worst part is samsung is not acknowledging the issue itself. Service centre says display to be changed.
Mine was bought in Singapore and is presently in india. They are even not taking the set stating that send it to Singapore.
Any one else with the issue.. suggest course of action.

Software bug, Please change refresh rate to standard (60hz) and check if it's gone.
Did that but still the same
It seems like it happen to quite a number of users around the same time.

That is a hardware issue and not a OneUI issue. You need to send it in for repairs, or take to your local phone repair shop to get the display replaced.

Its happening after the update. Before the update my phone was just fine. I don't have the warranty now. And I'm broke.
Have you tried force stopping OneUI, then clearing data? Also, just to make sure it is not OneUI, try another launcher, like Microsoft Launcher (which is free), or the free version of Nova Launcher. The last thing, would be to a factory reset. If it is software related, then doing a factory reset should solve the problem.

Not all countries have the same warranty laws.
Bro even I had the same issue and I just had 1 week time for my warranty to expire. When I showed to CC, they took my device for screen replacement. One thing to note here is even if there is small dent then it seems we have to pay, even though it was like that for a long time and not related to this.

Hello all,
So my first Z3 broke the day I got it after getting wet. Was slightly annoyed. Spent two days finding an EE store that had one in stock to replace it. Finally, today I got my replacement Z3.
However, my joy was quickly shadowed by what appears to be faulty graphics, though hopefully one of you folks can shine some light on this issue.

I'm getting black lines and glitches while scrolling in any app like Facebook, Reddit or even the phone's settings menu. The lines seem to actually replace entire letters, as you can see in the image above. I'm also getting some odd behaviour with live wallpapers, though games and benchmarks seem to run fine.
Anyone have any ideas? I've tried resetting it. I really don't want to have to go through the pain of finding a third replacement...
Edit: The actual problem seems constrained to one line of pixels, and flickers as text scrolls through that line.

you should've taken it to sony repair center earlier maybe it's because of that replacement you did? why not try taking it to repair center now?
I'd take it back again. They should give you a brand new one if its within 28 days.
Sony repair centres I believe are hard to find in England, at least i've never seen one.
Your gpu or software relating to gpu is nackered. Take it back to EE, there are no sony centres in most UK now and they will repair not replace. Be reasonable with EE and they'll swap it out again but when they do, you sit in store and check everything, I did in o2 and found a fault but because I was in store they just immediately swapped. Better than any more trips and you know you've got a solid phone.

Completely agree with tihs. always open it in front of them and the fact you got a picture/ video as evidence will help your case.

Thanks! I took it back and they tried telling me it was just because of a faulty sim card... -_- The same EE advisor also told me that the processor and RAM is inside the sim card, so I just needed to get a new sim and the issue would be fixed.
I'm not even joking.
Anyway, I was adamant that he replaced the phone and he did. The new unit is a beaut.
Thanks guys!
My beloved z3 cracked itself, let in water and died at 8 months old. I decided to claim on my insurance as I couldn't face the ordeal of trying to convince Sony that i hadn't damaged (or dropped/twisted/ hit/taken to below 1.5m of water etc) my phone and being told that I had damaged it myself and am either a liar or an idiot. My insurance company took nearly 3 weeks to return the repaired phone which was still very faulty, no Bluetooth, no wifi, no calls and no MAC address. I re-returned it, got it back again with the same faults and eventually got a new Z3 only to find screen faults of overall flickering and intermittent screen blurring like an old tv set.
I'll have to send this one back too, another week without a phone and another installation.
It is so sad that the Z3 which was by far my favourite phone so far and was hailed by Sony as robust and waterproof is so disappointing and fragile in real life. BTW my phone had always been in a case with screen protectors.
When its completely dark, and the notification button lights are on, I can see light coming out of the bottom bezel (this is the part where the bezel meets the plastic part, between the home and back buttons). Does anyone else see the same problem? Should I ask for a replacement?

It does sound like a defect. Flipkart anyways has a return policy, right? I think you can return it and get a new one if that's permitted.

I know its a defect but I can live with it
Yes it looks to be a manufacturing defect.
You can probably talk to the customer care guys in your area to get a solution on this.
Or just ignore this as other users do.
I have placed a replacement order and flipkart customer care called me and informed me that the courier agent will come and pick up the phone in 3 days. Once they take the phone to the service center and if the phone is 'eligible' to be replaced, they will send a new phone within 15 days. I am just curious if this is worth the effort as i have read in some other forums that someone else got yet another defective piece as replacement.. What do you guys think?

Did you talk to the customer care people for replacement or flipkart?
Im one of the lucky customers who got to try 3 Mi 4i devices! lol.. First 2 devices had the same defect and as a last bet, i went with another replacement instead of refund. Luckily, Im now holding the third device which is defect free
Edit:
For me, replacement was no hassle. Initiated replacement in Flipkart, Rep called me to confirm and next day, they delivered a new device and took the defective device. When I placed replacement req for already replaced device, Rep told that they wont provide replacement second time and instead he was ready to process refund. But I insisted on getting replacement for which he accepted and sent the replacement the very next day. I guess the city where you live in matters.. and I live in Bangalore.
I also got a replacement, but the new phone also has the issue. But its less prominent and I have to stare hard at the phone to see the gap. Anyway, I just decided to live with it and turned off the button notification so that's not a bother any more....

Having a black S7(non-edge). Small crack in the home button at an edge. Was there from DAY 1 I guess. Much less noticeable in the black color.
Will it be worse overtime?
Will it render the fingerprint scanner unusable?

Should be a manufacturing defect that I didn't notice out of the box. No way this could happen without dropping the phone or any other strong impact which I'm sure I haven't done. Anyway since the exchange period is over there is no use of crying over spilt milk.
Even if I had found this issue within the replacement period or even on the same day of unboxing itself there is a chance that they will try their best to not give me replacement based on my previous experience with my Galaxy S3 which had a gap between back cover and the main body at the top edge for which they laughed at me when asked for a replacement and denied my claim. They only way to prove that this was indeed a manufacturing defect is to record the unboxing of the product and if there is anything wrong with the unit show it in the video right way, LOL, otherwise they won't believe my claim. I've seen people in forums who had replaced thrice or even five times. But things aren't so easy at my place.
It's been almost 1 month from the date of purchase. I contacted Samsung, and they are telling that physical damages aren't covered in warranty and if in case it's a manufacturing defect they told me to approach any service center to inspect. I heavily doubt whether they will believe me. Should I give it a try? What do you say?

I'm in a confusion whether to go and get it repaired by Samsung or not. Because once when I approached Samsung's approved service centre (@ 2014) when my Galaxy S3 had a minor hardware issue (for the reason I quoted in one of my post) after replacement period. A person I closely know there (one of the repair guys) advised not to better give it for repair for this silly issue to any Samsung service centers and to better cover it with a case/cover since they were kind of bad at repairing and that they might mess up something else. So I'm kind of in a confusion in the case of my GS7's home button issue. What do you guys say?
Should I go for warranty repair?
Most of all, Will it cause to loose water-proofing?

Go for it. If anything bad happens, just publicly shame them. Shouldn't lose you're waterproofing because it's being fixed by a first party
I've got the pink Line of Death.
Its a pink Line vertical from the top to the bottom.
This Problem is already known from Samsung but Not official agreed.
Anyone has this Problem too?
It looks like this
Mine did that yesterday, only a faint line in the same place but not as strong as yours. I powered off for 5 minutes but it was still there. 5 minutes later it was gone and hasn't reappeared since. Odd.
Thats Not my mobile, but it kinda looks like this
Hope that the next Samsung Service Point can repair this due to my guarantee
I find this weird that this issue pops up now after a year and when the S8 is about to launch
My previous S7E had that line on the screen. It is a physical damage, because the line appeared and disappeared when I pressed in the area of the frontal camera. Previously the screen was broken after a fall from my jeans bag.
My phone was stolen on the bus, at least the thief took it with the broken screen and the pink line of death.

With an avatar like that, I cannot trust your judgement
I had this issue over Christmas, really annoying and it got worse if you applied any pressure around the Samsung emblem. I thought my number was up as I'd rooted and the knox was obviously tripped. I took it into my local network provider shop as a first port of call. They told me they have their own repair service which doesn't involve using Samsung so they sent it off. I still expected a comeback on the knox but when I went in to speak to them a week or so later I was told they couldn't repair it and I was handed a brand new S7 Edge. Bonus as the old one was from launch day last March.
Just to say I was told it's a well known solder joint issue at the top of the screen, which is why applying pressure around the Samsung emblem makes it worse and why the line is always in exactly the same place. It can only be fixed with a hardware repair or replacement, nothing you can do with software will fix it, nor will any sort of reset.

Apply pressure around the Samsung name/earpiece, I reckon you will see it reappear. Either way it will be back, it's a hardware fault which might start as an intermittent issues but eventually will be a constant.

Awesome! I had the same issue but then I accidentally put the phone through the wash and had to claim on insurance. They replaced the phone with one that was manufactured in October and *touch wood* I haven't had the issue on this one so far.

Just checked and mine was manufactured the end of November. Hopefully if the pink line was caused by a design fault it had been rectified before either of our new phones were made.

That's exactly what I was thinking. The issue was probably only with the earlier released devices. My brother got his around June time and has the pink line. Unfortunately he smashed his screen and cannot claim.
the same pink line problem started yesterday.. in the morning afte rplaying with those color buttons after entering code, lines went off. However when i press on top part of the phone, the line still appears... may the service decline repair since the phone is rooted?

Hi
I got my phone on the early release date and it's been great until this morning when my camera has started to play up. The image quality has gone all blury and won't focus unless it's about 2 inches from the screen ? Anyone else had this and any help ?
If you tap the top of the phone when trying to take a photo does it do anything? Maybe the auto focus is faulty?
The camera module is broken.
This problem are very common, either on s7, s7 Edge. It do happens to other branded smartphone as well.
The only way of fixing this is by sending in to warranty for camera replacement. should be done within an hours.
Samsung promises and hold responsibility for providing complete warranty. Any imperfection after warranty process, User have the rights to further issues the problem.
Example scratches during warranty process.
This is very sad.
I have same problem. Im hoping the problem goes away.
Happen to another S model phone before. The camera broke.
The guy had to send it back in to samsung for repairs.
But if you got it from a carrier then you should be able to exchange it with them.
This is a failure of the ois mechanism. Replacement is the only route.
