HOW TO UNLOCK BOOTLOADER WITH EMPTY SN - Nokia 3 Questions & Answers

Hi, I cannot unlock bootloader anymore because of rom flash.
Serial number says its 0123456789ABCDEF but its really NULL literally nothing. the OEM Key is MD5 hash of serial number but there is no serial number so i can't unlock it.
How can I flash a random serial number onto my phone to make it work?

S6 Bricked - Smart Switch Serial Number issue

My son attempted to root his S6 with Odin and failed. His phone is SM-G920R7 (nTelos) and there are no compatible roms - but that didn't stop him from trying. So we are got the "An error has occurred updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software." So, downloaded that, went to the software update and initialization section to try to reinstall the factory software. It takes the Model number (above), but then asks for the serial number. I've tried both IMEI# on the back and any other numbers I can come up with. No luck.
I called the carrier and Samsung and each of them told me to call the other. Does anyone know what "serial number" (technically s/n: is the prompt) they want? Thanks.
It seems at this point that the software is only trying to validate that the serial number exists - the phone is not connected to the computer. But entering any of the numbers mentioned above only lead to an error stating the serial number is not valid.
Any help would be great. Thanks
Same issue here.

First forum post, having the same issue. Very weird... I bought my phone at a Bell corporate store, so no illegal issues there or anything. Very confused!

Yes serial number is s/n. It's written on back of your phone check it.
The s/n is written on the back of the phone
Anyone figure this out? Cannot get Smart Switch to accept my s/n. Thanks.
Same problem here. Nothing says serial number on my box, in my phone, or on the back. Only says IMEI which does not work in Smart Switch.

Having the same issue with my S7 (SM-G930FD). I've definitely got the correct serial number as I've registered the device on Samsung's website and I got the serial number from there.
I've managed to flash it again by getting back to the screen where it tells me to intialise the device using Smartswitch then I've just used Odin to reinstall the firmware again. Have had to wipe everything but at least I've got my device back. (The initialisation screen appears to be a different screen for the download mode)
Easy way unbrick your phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/how-to-unbrick-samsung-galaxy-s6-100-t3378857

Rooting device can't fina guide working, and questions...

LAS EDIT: Is this a good guide can I follow it?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/general/huawei-ascent-mate-7-unlock-recovery-t2941525
So that guys, how do you do? I think that I eventually found the way to unlock my device, I think that finally it worked,
I put all my information there and it gave me a serial number (Unlock-code)
http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail
I need the guide to unlock because no idea about fastboot or whatever it's called, and most of them are with broken links.
1. I got the code
2. I got the huawei oficial driver for windows
3?
4?
----------------------------------------------------------------
FOUND THAT, NO IDEA how to do it, is not well explained, I mean I don't get it.
**-1. Flash CWM Recovery-**
**2. Flash stock Recovery-**
##-3. Reboot to Recovery-##
Choose 1, and 3
4. In CWM flash the SuperSU
----------------------------------------------------------------
Am I go to format my device doing that? or I can just root without any problem,
Really thanks.
What I also don't understand is why everyone was saying to put in Product model: Huawei Y300-0000 in mine I put, Huawei MT7-L09 and it gave me the code, yesterday I was trying with Huawei Y300-0000 and it wasn't working.
Product type: Smartphone
Product model: Huawei Y300-0000
Product SN: serial number of your Mate 7
Product IMEI / MEID: IMEI of your Mate 7
Product ID: your number from the Product ID generator
first you need to google how to use adb
then you run "adb reboot bootloader"
then your phone will reboot to bootloader, where you can type a set of fastboot commands
from there type in the unlock command provided by huawei
and you phone is "bootloader unlocked".
Real "Genius" Answer:

Why we all didn't think of that? Shame on all of us!

Serial number missing after DC-Unlocker

Please help! I used DC-Phoenix to unbrick my NXT-L09C636 and now the phone is working again but the serial number is 12345...abc... How do I get my serial number back?

SamsUng j7 pro - J730F/DS Unknown baseband - Unknown imei

My phone was stolen and got it back by chance
I have the box and original imei & serial number
I guess that The one who steal it tried to change the serial and imei but did something wrong that he lost the imei
Any way!
I flashed the original rom
E: faild to find /misc partition
And got dm-verity error later
So i flashed clean_nougat_v2.7 rom and TWRP Recovery
Enabled USB debugging and used z3x loader 29.5 as i don’t have box and couldn’t find a newer version with loader
But it gives me an error “not supported EFS type”
( i don’t have a newer version of samsung tools pro with loader)
Tried the *#0808# i get no response to activate the usb modem
I tried to install “phoneutil.apk” it gives me an error message “ Error can't install, package conflicts with an existing package “
Z3x loader also gives me an error message to downgrade the modem if possible when i try to read the certificate and it detects the modem in this case
The serial number also got changed.
I also tried to delete the modemst1 and modemst2 as some threads here suggested that and many got their problem solved
But when i hit enter to this command in twrp terminal it gives me (not found) error message
——-
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/Modemst1
——-
And when i try fastboot erase modemst1 on my pc
It gets stuck on waiting for devices
And i’m stuck here now, i don’t know what to do further ...
By chance i got a friend who has the same model
Is that helpful ?
Any idea?

Unlocking bootloader zui device only!

I have found a way to unlock bootloader again! (if the normal fastboot command does not work for you!)
I had mine bootloader re-locked for some stupid reason. And my phone stayed at Lenovo logo, So no booting or flashing custom roms again. I had giving up the hope. But after searching on some Chinese website. I found a way and it WORKED! I have now again a unlocked bootloader.
The website is in Chinese but don't worry people you just need to fill in some small data.
1: go to the website : https://www.zui.com/iunlock
fill box 1 your IMEI 1
fill box 2 your SERIAL key (the key that you get when you connect to fastboot and use the command 'Fastboot Devices')
fill box 3 your email
fill box 4 the security code that you see to the right of it ( Four numbers )
check the last box, as accepting the rules for warranty blabla. And click the BLUE BIG button
Now wait and have patience! After a while you will get a email with a file in it. Download that file and put it in your adb folder.
now check your device first if its connected and that you see the serial.
- > Fastboot devices <-
If YES than continue...
Use the command :
Fastboot flash unlock (name_of_the_file).img
after that use command:
fastboot oem unlock-go
And your bootloader is UNLOCKED AGAIN !!! :highfive::good::laugh:
Phone is back to life
Disclaimer: sharing your imei is not safe, other people can easily duplicate it on other phones. Google: ''why you shouldn't share your imei''.
Use this as your last resort if your phone doesn't boot or is bricked. Use a fake imei, follow the process and once or phone is unlocked, update the imei using the link @sth0r created on xda to fix imei for the lenovo z5

In this case the fastboot command is wrong.
You want to boot the phone up to the landing screen and enter ADB devices in your command prompt. Enter That.
You can also get the correct serial by opening the dialer app and entering *#06# in your touch phone pop-up keypad
Hope that helps!
This was helpful, It worked for me. Thanks.
Guide outdated - this worked for me now
Phone: ZUK Z2 Plus (Z2131)
After having tried many times following this tutorial and never receiving any E-Mail, I found a rather simple solution that worked:
I didn't really expect it to work, so this is from memory, wordings may differ a bit.
First: make backup of your data!
Make sure you have updated ZUI to the latest available version.
Enable developer options ( From your device go to " About -> ZUI version" , scroll down and click " build number " continuously until you see "You are now a developer")
Go to developer Options and look for the toggle "Allow OEM Unlock" (or similar) and set it to enable. Confirm.
Reboot.
The phone automatically performs a factory reset (All Data lost!).
Now you can continue with flashing custom recovery (TWRP) and ROM.
For example use Lineage OS. Instructions: (Sorry, can't post the link)
Finally I can enjoy the phone with custom ROM and up-to-date Android 10.
Is this why I can't see my device when it is in fast boot mode or boot loader mode?
