Hello to all.
My first post was about One mini with unlocked bootloader and failed system. Situation changed so I describe all "story" wondering that sb clever would tell me what to do now...
At the beginning, I visited some "specialist", who applied me a fantasy about bootloader rebuilding and took cash for nothing. Because thay said that tried to flash European ROM on device bought in USA with ATT brand and S ON (look attach) I had to learn a little to do anything by myself.
First of all I flashed TWRP Recovery using AllinOne. First CMD window replied "device not found" but second one responded that Recovery was flashed succesfully. In fact TWRP run. And it was all.
Than I tried to do anything by ADB. Drivers were installed correctly but any command form adb responded "device not found"
Device manager showed QHSUSB DLOAD when connected not powered one mini. (Yes I know what it means)
Sideload in TWRP was not working too.
Flashing wih USB OTG mounted under TWRP was not working too.
Newest RUU_M4_UL_K44_SENSE60_MR_Cingular_US_4.13.502.3_ from htc site (.htc.com / us / support / htc-one-mini-att / news / ) was showing connection error at the beginngin but was detecting system version and suggested update. Always failed after reboot.
Today I tried to flash RUU.zip (ver same as installed on my bricked one mini). AllinOne asked about Bootloader lock so I relocked bootloader. Flashing failed so I started mentioned newest original RUU from HTC. Bootloader was rebooted and procedure started. (with unlocked bootloader it failed at this moment) Unfortunaelly it stopped at 95% with comunicate "signature error".
Cell restarted, htc logo appeared ("by android" sign was added) and device manager detected HTC device and mass memory. Unfortunetelly system havent boot up and now manager shows only "not recognized device" but QHSUSB DLOAD not appeared again
What would you advice to do now? Try to update again? When you check Fastboot reply at CMD screenshot than it seems to be ALMOST updated. But still sth is wrong
I read RUU log and edited fonts colour to make it more readable.
I can see that all time ADB has a problem with "adb devices" command and it asks fastboot (i coloured it on pink).
Later it flash two almost 400MB each zip files but after second one gives signature fail. If Update comes from HTC and almost all update was correct what may it mean now?
I attach
1 image with bootloader details when bought broken
2 image of ADB fastboot report after 95% Update to 4.13.502

"Custom Binary blocked by FRP lock" & Odin/PC won't recognize the device
Okay so,
My phone has been rooted for a year, I disabled OEM Unlock by accident, my antivirus was always telling me its unsecure with this feature on and to 'click here' to disable it.. I forgot how important this was to have enabled while rooted and ended disabled it and that night rebooting my device.
I get this error when trying to boot my device:
"Custom Binary blocked by FRP lock"
I have the original stock firmware, and Odin and want to reset the phone but when I plug this device in ( while in download mode ) > the windows PC doesn't recognize it (no new device sound or any change in devicemanager) and therefore odin isn't recognizing anything either - - I can grab my other 2nd-device and boot it into download mode, plug it into the same setup and boom > recognized and 'Ready!' Status in odin almost immediately so I don't think it's my PC or the cables -- I don't think 1st-device has usb debugging enabled either and I'm not sure how to proceed ...
any help is much appreciated ...
Try to use Smart Switch (from Samsung website), which also has the latest drivers, to recover your phone. (Google "how to recover with smart switch")
Alright,
Forgot to mention I tried Samsung Kies but cannot find the serial number on the device, I'll give Smart Switch a try this evening on my other PC and report back... hopefully that PC recognizes it, my tablet connects to this laptop but not the phone.. could USB debugging being disable cause this?
How close to bricked is this?
I'm such a fool!
Thanks for the feedback so far..
Hi boot tar flash odin frp lock of after stock rom flash
I went through this a few weeks back. I found my serial number (was a sticker originally on back of phone) and used smart switch to recover firmware. Then enabled developer options, oem unlock, flash TWRP thru ODIN etc etc.
So if I find the serial number, I save it .. good to know, thanks!

Hey man, im having the exact same issue with my S7 edge.
So I got my IMEI number, and with my number I went to imei. info / and I got my serial number through a warranty check through the site, you have to register to do it.
I used Smart Switch and I get an error when trying to use the emergency recovery "Model number cannot be initialized"
I'm also getting the error on my PC when trying to connect my device to odin saying that "USB device cannot recognize" and with that I cannot flash the stock firmware on the device.
So if you have gotten any solution to the FRP lock please let me know.
Serial number is engraved on back cover next to the imei number -,- @samuraichick0n about "Model number cannot be initialized" try to write it in diffrent forms eg. G935f or SM-G935f uppercase or lowercase.

PC doesnt want to recognize my device, so Odin doesn't pick it up.
Try it with other usb cable. What is given together with the charger is incongruent, it happened to me, the same problem. (galaxy s6, s7)
And you need the newest odin. Excuse me my crappy English.

Yes, I've tried a different PC - "USB Device Malfunctioned /Device cannot be recognized"
Also a PSA: Smart Switch removed the recovery option for phones, you are ONLY able to get a recovery with the code from a previous backup.

Hello, after exhausting all options I had to take the device to Samsung themselves - eventually they had to replace the motherboard on the phone to fix it.
So check if your phone is under warranty and take it in.
I fixed this when I first rooted by flashing the stock bootloader, firmware etc everything through odin
Thanks

Ok seems like what most people are saying but unfortunately mine is not under warranty but thanks for your reply anyway.
I have found a way to unlock bootloader again! (if the normal fastboot command does not work for you!)
I had mine bootloader re-locked for some stupid reason. And my phone stayed at Lenovo logo, So no booting or flashing custom roms again. I had giving up the hope. But after searching on some Chinese website. I found a way and it WORKED! I have now again a unlocked bootloader.
The website is in Chinese but don't worry people you just need to fill in some small data.
1: go to the website : https://www.zui.com/iunlock
fill box 1 your IMEI 1
fill box 2 your SERIAL key (the key that you get when you connect to fastboot and use the command 'Fastboot Devices')
fill box 3 your email
fill box 4 the security code that you see to the right of it ( Four numbers )
check the last box, as accepting the rules for warranty blabla. And click the BLUE BIG button
Now wait and have patience! After a while you will get a email with a file in it. Download that file and put it in your adb folder.
now check your device first if its connected and that you see the serial.
- > Fastboot devices <-
If YES than continue...
Use the command :
Fastboot flash unlock (name_of_the_file).img
after that use command:
fastboot oem unlock-go
And your bootloader is UNLOCKED AGAIN !!! :highfive::good::laugh:
Phone is back to life
Disclaimer: sharing your imei is not safe, other people can easily duplicate it on other phones. Google: ''why you shouldn't share your imei''.
Use this as your last resort if your phone doesn't boot or is bricked. Use a fake imei, follow the process and once or phone is unlocked, update the imei using the link @sth0r created on xda to fix imei for the lenovo z5

In this case the fastboot command is wrong.
You want to boot the phone up to the landing screen and enter ADB devices in your command prompt. Enter That.
You can also get the correct serial by opening the dialer app and entering *#06# in your touch phone pop-up keypad
Hope that helps!
This was helpful, It worked for me. Thanks.
Guide outdated - this worked for me now
Phone: ZUK Z2 Plus (Z2131)
After having tried many times following this tutorial and never receiving any E-Mail, I found a rather simple solution that worked:
I didn't really expect it to work, so this is from memory, wordings may differ a bit.
First: make backup of your data!
Make sure you have updated ZUI to the latest available version.
Enable developer options ( From your device go to " About -> ZUI version" , scroll down and click " build number " continuously until you see "You are now a developer")
Go to developer Options and look for the toggle "Allow OEM Unlock" (or similar) and set it to enable. Confirm.
Reboot.
The phone automatically performs a factory reset (All Data lost!).
Now you can continue with flashing custom recovery (TWRP) and ROM.
For example use Lineage OS. Instructions: (Sorry, can't post the link)
Finally I can enjoy the phone with custom ROM and up-to-date Android 10.
Is this why I can't see my device when it is in fast boot mode or boot loader mode?

You are liar.
This solution will not work, because bootloader still will be locked at this state
I've seen it all over the Internet, with the warning "DO NOT try to unlock SMT Download mode, or else your IMEI and Widevine certification will get wiped". (I assume the Widevine certification is for DRM in apps like Netflix)
I don't have a OnePlus 7 Pro yet, but it'll arrive in about a week and I'm trying to find out everything I can about the device. Plus if anyone knows anything about this, I'm sure other people are curious about it too and would like to have a search result to click on to find out more.
Is SMT Download mode some sort of super-powerful data-flashing mode used by the factory to configure devices after manufacturing? Is it possible to recover the data wiped when enabling it? What are its capabilities?

This allows you to reflash all partitions, even IMEI

I was able to recover my IMEI & MEID with the help of @justencase6 ,i tried to flash my OnePlus 7 through MSM tool via SMT mode and erased NV ViP DYNAMIC PARTITION,imei is showing 0 & alert slider is not working after flashing via SMT MODE, but thanks to @justencase6 because he told me how to fix it all and i did the same and everything is working including alert slider.
CAUTION: DON'T TRY TO FLASH YOUR PHONE IN [SMT] MODE.
IF YOU FLASH YOUR PHONE IN SMT MODE THEN___
*Your IMEI & MEID will be erased
*PERSIST partition will be also erased,so your ALERT SLIDER will not work
*And Your Whole UFS will be wiped,i don't know it but it's called "UFS PROVISIONING"
*AFTER FLASHING IN SMT MODE
YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY POWER ON YOUR DEVICE THEN YOU WILL SEE THAT YOUR IMEI IS ERASED AND ALERT SLIDER IS NOT WORKING AND AMBIENT DISPLAY WILL NOT WORK ALSO
AFTER THAT I TRIED TO FLASH IMEI THROUGH [QLM IMEI WRITE TOOL]
-First of all you have to enable DIAG MODE by dialing *#801# and Enable RNDIS & DIAG PORT
-NOW install Qualcomm 9008 driver in your PC
-Then plug your phone in PC
-Open device manager and see COM PORT & LPT if it shows Qualcomm 90B6 is showing or not
-if it showing then Open the QLM IMEI WRITE TOOL & type your IMEI which is written on BOX in which phone comes
-then click WRITE,if it says PASS then reboot your Device
-Open your phone dialer and dial *#06# and you will see that your imei is restored
THIS METHOD IS NOT QUITE GOOD BECAUSE IT WILL ONLY ENABLE YOUR CALLING OPTIONS ON YOUR DEVICE AND
VOLTE WILL WORK ON ONLY ONE SIM SLOT.
YOU CAN'T RESTORE YOUR MEID BY THIS METHOD

I did that, i purchased it from olx and its ime was changed. With the help of meid i restored original imei and did offical bootloader unlock. I was converting it to global but after installation of fastboot rom and update ota its baseband gone imei null. I restore stock and this time it has basbeand and ime but no network. Even i repaired ime but It won't. At this time i created backup of efs and persist and smt updated. Now everything is ok including finger print (restore efs and persist by twrp) but still no network. In manual it search network but won't registered. I think there was tmobile sim lock data which is wiped as my mobile was unlocked. So i recommend everyone to not use smt updated especially op8 and above.

Hello, I am new here!
I have a problem with my P20. Yesterday I tried downgrading with HiSuite Proxy from Emui 9.1 to 8.1. The update went well, the emui loading circle with percentage appeared on the phone, then at 80 percent there appeared an error on the screen that the update has failed and I should either enter recovery or reboot. I clicked on reboot (I am dumb, I know) and since then the phone is showing a black screen and I cannot do anything. The phone is in Fastboot and it responds to fastboot commands from adb tools.
I think the problem is, that in Hisuite proxy I selected "normal update" instead of "rollback". That made Hisuite perform an update over a newer version of emui.
In the beginning, the phone was recognised by windows as "Andoid device" with a subname "HI3650". After switching drivers in device-manager, I got "ADB device" there.
What I tried so far:
- switching ADB drivers in device manager in windows
- system recovery in Hisuite. It fails, tried with several HiSuite versions so far.
- "fastboot flashing unlock" (most fastboot commands return errors like "FAILED (remote: check password failed!)" or "FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)"
I am not a pro with these things but understood that I could flash a recovery image with fastboot. Someone on this forum said something about .pac images which could be flashed even with a locked bootloader, mine is locked. Could somebody with good knowledge help me out? I did plenty of google searching before and also browsed through this forum, i did not find a solution, at least not with locked bootloader.
I would appreciate any help to save the phone before having to trash it!
