Hi, guys. Recently I acquired a rog phone 5s, but since I started to use it, I'm facing problems with my connection. Basically what's been going on is that sometimes my wifi starts to disconnect and connect on my phone.
This problem already happened with my father's phone (a realme gt master), but apparently stoped after some months; it happened with my old Poco X3 NFC when I rooted it too. These 2 occurrences make me distrust that the problem is in the wifi network or modem itself.
Some usefull informations:
- Here in Brazil we have some local internet providers that offers optical fiber connection, as the big companies here doesn't offers it in smaller cities. My internet provider is one of those smallers providers.
- I have 2 internet bands, one in 5ghz and another in 2.4ghz. When I had this same problem with my Poco X3, someone here said me that the the reason for the problem is an interference between these 2 channels.
- I never tried to fix this problem changing the networks configs directly on modem or call someone to fix it cause my parents insist that the problem is in the cell phone
Overall, that's it. I'm available to answer any questions in case anyone hasn't understood something, and sorry for my bad english, idk the grammatical rules of that language
That happened to me until the wifi completely went out and never turned back on. It's a motherboard issue I sent it to Asus to get repaired twice

Hello,
I've just bought a Huawei Ascend G6-L11, for my wife, and I already got two issues:
1. The smallest: the power charger is defect.... I sent it in service;
2. The biggest: big WIFI issues: if I am near WIFI router (I have 2.4GHx/5GHz router), the phone sees only 2.4GHz network (why?!?), I can connect to it, no problems. If I'm moving away, few meters, no wifi signal anymore!!! With my iPhone 5s, I can see both WIFIs (2.4/5) I can connect and no problems with moving away! It's clear the WIFI module has a big issue. I installed the latest official firmware G6-L11V100R001C02B119, but no improvements.
My wife is very angry on me, that I've chosen the **** cheap phone and she wants another one.
I'm confused, I checked on Internet similar cases, but I cannot find anything (it's too young this phone!??!). I found wifi issues on other Huawei phone, but nothing about Ascend G6.
Probably the wifi module is defective, I cannot find any explanations, but I think I don't have time anymore to go again in service . I have to buy something else.
Does anybody experience similar issue? It would be a great help for me.
BR,
Mircea
It looks like a defective phone.
I`ve got an Acend G6 4G and I have no wifi problems at all. It connects in every place in my flat.
Try with another wifi network and if the problem persists, consider sending the pone to technical service.
Regards.
I bought an OPO with cyanogenmod to my sister a couple of months ago. Since the beginning, it has a very weird problem; when connected to Wi-Fi, every some time, the opo totally loses the phone signal, and then gets it back. Sometimes it happens very quick. I have seen more people in a Spanish forum using an OPO with the same company as me (pepephone, using movistar).
I contacted oneplus and they made me reset the phone, but it didn't solve the problem. So now they offer me to pick it up for repair.
I think it's a software problem, without Wi-Fi connected it does not happen.
Can I try cm13 or other modems and still keep the guaranty? If so, what should I try? I don't wanna mess my sister's phone too much, so I would prefer to leave it stock.
Hello all!
I have a S10e, running stock Android 10. The wifi at my house constantly disconnects and reconnects, rendering my phone as virtually useless, as it switches between my mobile network and wifi. I have tried all of the trouble shooting I've found online, just short of a full backup/master reset. I'm trying to avoid that.
Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? Better yet, how can I fix it? I'm rather annoyed, as I've had several Samsung Galaxy phones that have had minor issues, but nothing as annoying as this. I'm about to buy another model phone.
Thanks in advance

Hi, I have the S10e G970F_MMI - Singapore Snapdragon. Similar issues with wifi and bluetooth turning off immediately after update. Got one message from Wi-Fi control history that said Google Play services turned off wi-fi. I tried disconnecting Play services but that did not help however I am suspicious that it might also have something to do with Bixby Routines. Tried Samsung but no help as my phone is only 13 months old and 1 month out of warranty and I am not in Singapore but stuck in UK. Like you, I am a long time Samsung client with phones, tablets and TV's but I have now lost confidence in them. I tried factory reset and reflashing the custom ROM but no luck. I do hope that you can resolve your wi-fi issue and have a wonderful New Year.
Apparently, Samsung admitted the S10 series suffers from this issue. I noticed it on mine, just in the last month or two, disconnecting intermittently roughly every 30 minutes. I thought it might have been my router, but I realized it's definitely my phone (S10e US snapdragon).
Nothing I tried fixed it. I did disable "wi-fi power saving mode" and wifi auto connect (I have tasker auto re-connect wifi when it disconnects).
I do have "wi-fi san throttling" enabled in developer options, which shouldn't have anything to do with this. HOWEVER, you might try "wi-fi safe mode" under developer options and see if that helps keep it more persistent.
One other suggestion, though it shouldn't matter, is to try assigning a specific IP address to your phone (do this from your router settings, not your phone). And you can search for other solutions online to cut down on radio interference on your home network. Other devices and neighbors might be disrupting the router signal strength, possibly dropping it below a level that causes your phone to drop wifi.
I got the same problem before, used an Asus router. I changed to a Qualcomm chip router and its fixed. Try a different router?

Unfortunately I cannot, as the router I have is from my internet provider. I would have to run that to another router and at that point it's just a waste of money. Thank you for the info though! If I get annoyed enough I may buy a cheap router to see if it fixes the problem.

Hallo all!
I recently bought for my wife poco X3 nfc and we have this issue. At random times although it shows it has signal it doesn't and she cannot make or receive calls. It needs to be restarted and then it's ok. The signal from our provider is fine when this happens because at the same time my signal is fine. I replaced the sim card with a new one but the issue still exists. Any thoughts on that please?

I think this is a problem when the phone is connected to the LTE network. Try to force your phone to use only a 3G network and see if the problem continues.
In the global Xiaomi forum there are many people complaining about problems related to the LTe connection
This phone looks like it has a lot of bugs
Well that is no solution but man that we force our phone on 3g..at the age of 4g and 5g phones..I had the same issue and only after restart yesterday did it get fine just hoping that it does not come back again
This problem happened on my phone right now. I realized that the cell phone has lost the SIM Card signal several times and now the cell phone has a Sim Card signal but does not make or receive a call. In addition to the problem of receiving and originating calls, it is also not connecting to the data network. I do not know what happened. This problem had never happened and even restarting the phone the problem was not solved.
Note: I'm inside my company's office. Other business friends use SIM cards from the same provider and are not experiencing this problem.
I don't know if it has something to do with the signal level of the provider.
Right now the phone is losing and recovering the SIM card signal for many times and is not connecting to the data network.
First of all thanks for the reply!
I will give it a try with your solution. Do you think it is a software or a hardware problem? I am asking this because if it is hardware, i cannot bare the fact of having a phone at 2021 with 3g as a solution and i will turn it back.

Man that sucks too I'll just try calling someone randomly to check if the bug is there or is not..further than that also the increased smoothness of the UI after restart vanishes after some days..why is that so..sd732g behaving like 660
My router is Huawei EchoLife EG8145V5.
Ever since I used this router, the phone doesn't connect to internet anymore. It's connected to the wifi but not on internet. I already factory reset the phone but the problem is still there.
have you tried different device to test the wifi?

Yes, other phones doesn't have any problems with it.
i will be direct to the point with you okay?
your phone only cost $40 and upon reading about your phone review i have seen 5 different comment complaining poor wifi connectivity also that phone is released around november of 2015 which make it 6 years old already in service ... so i would recommend i guess buying new phone at least $200 for decent specs
eh, that's my last resort. There's probably another way because I didn't had any issues with the phone when I was using my other router.
Solved it by changing the router's wireless mode from b/g/n to b/g.
