Hallo all!
I recently bought for my wife poco X3 nfc and we have this issue. At random times although it shows it has signal it doesn't and she cannot make or receive calls. It needs to be restarted and then it's ok. The signal from our provider is fine when this happens because at the same time my signal is fine. I replaced the sim card with a new one but the issue still exists. Any thoughts on that please?

I think this is a problem when the phone is connected to the LTE network. Try to force your phone to use only a 3G network and see if the problem continues.
In the global Xiaomi forum there are many people complaining about problems related to the LTe connection
This phone looks like it has a lot of bugs
Well that is no solution but man that we force our phone on 3g..at the age of 4g and 5g phones..I had the same issue and only after restart yesterday did it get fine just hoping that it does not come back again
This problem happened on my phone right now. I realized that the cell phone has lost the SIM Card signal several times and now the cell phone has a Sim Card signal but does not make or receive a call. In addition to the problem of receiving and originating calls, it is also not connecting to the data network. I do not know what happened. This problem had never happened and even restarting the phone the problem was not solved.
Note: I'm inside my company's office. Other business friends use SIM cards from the same provider and are not experiencing this problem.
I don't know if it has something to do with the signal level of the provider.
Right now the phone is losing and recovering the SIM card signal for many times and is not connecting to the data network.
First of all thanks for the reply!
I will give it a try with your solution. Do you think it is a software or a hardware problem? I am asking this because if it is hardware, i cannot bare the fact of having a phone at 2021 with 3g as a solution and i will turn it back.

Man that sucks too I'll just try calling someone randomly to check if the bug is there or is not..further than that also the increased smoothness of the UI after restart vanishes after some days..why is that so..sd732g behaving like 660

Hi
My girlfriend also owns a oneplus one. She had the screen repaired, since then she doesn't have signal all the time. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. She tried to fix it with another sim but no effect. But last week we went abroad twice and when we were abroad she had signal all the time, and as soon as we got back in Belgium she lost signal again. Now since a day or 2 she has even less signal and she can't send messages or call even with signal.
Just adding that I also own a oneplus and I use the same provider and I have signal everywhere and I have no issues at all.
Anybody that has a solution or might know what the problem is?
Thanks in advance
Anthony
Hi,
I initially started with a OnePlus One and it came to a point where I would lose reception (Both data and mobile) maybe once an hour. The only fix was to restart the phone. I got fed up with it so I ended up getting a new phone, the Samsung Galaxy S7. It's been 3 days and I haven't found any problems, however, this morning I found my phone to have no reception. I restarted it and it started working again.
Could this be a SIM card problem? WiFi works fine.
Thanks
Not sure about the OPO but i had this happen to me where i lost reception for no more than 30s.
For you to restart the phone to get a reception is news to me and honestly have no idea.
I don't know how easy it is for you but with my operator it is very easy to just pick up a new sim card and ether have the shop to register the new card or do it by myself online. If the card is the same as the one you used with the OPO a new card would be the first thing to test. I have heard of lost reception problems were a sim card has been the culprit.

Is it the same SIM card from both phones?
Something has to be the same between them, either the SIM, or if it is a different SIM, then your location / surroundings / interference

Same SIM card. My location and surroundings don't affect when I lose reception. It just seems to be random. Both me and my girlfriend have the same carrier (Kodoo). I'd be sitting by my desk for a couple hours and have full bars and suddenly lose reception. Then restart my phone and I get reception back.

I'd request a SIM replacement, see if that fixes it, unlikely to be the phone if you have two with the same problem using the same SIM
Hi fellow Honor8 owners,
I have UK Honor 8 32GB model purchased from Vmall.eu/uk. I came from an iPhone 5S and must say I'm loving the device!
Only issue I have been having is constantly, the Data signal keeps dropping out and I am unable to recieve/send calls and texts. It completely drops out for a bit then comes back. This happens very often.
Is anyone else experiencing any similar issues? I have the nano SIM installed into SIM slot 1 .
I will maybe give the SIM a clean and reseat it into tray to see if there is any difference.
otherwise aside from that issue it's been amazing! One thing I'm really impressed is with battery, I am getting like 6 Hours Screen On Time on each cycle! and I'm not such a light user. Great for £260 unlocked!!
:good:
I also have giffgaff. This also happens to me mostly at home. I disabled Carrier Aggregation which seems to help, but it still happens sometimes.
I have the same and set the signal to be 2g only while at home, as I am using home wifi. I get many more bars when I do that and its good for calls and text only of course.
Its a pity we are not able to activity switch mobile data modes depending on our location without rooting.

So I tried cleaning and blowing in sim slot maybe debri but no still had the same issue. But then changed to carrier aggregation off, that helped a bit but still had issue often.
Finally resorted to switching to 2G for Calls and SMS only and I am mainly getting full signal strength all the time!
strange.. wonder if it is hardware issue or can be fixed via update?
This happened very often, when mobile signal is weak the phone will stuck in HDPSA (H/H+) with no internet and finally lose its entire signal, even later moved to a better signal area. I have missed a lot phone calls / messages when this happens, have 3 different brand new Note 20 ultra replaced by warranty all have this problem. Can confirm this is not network or SIM card related as when swap the SIM back to Note 10 plus it is just working fine as it should be (3 days while waiting for replacement using the same SIM living in the same area). Put the phone into flight mode and turn it back can solve the problem however the difficult thing is you won't know when this will happen and for the price tag, it seems it should be this kind of problem with it.
This issue seems also with S20 release too, for years the issue is still there, anyone have the same issue or can help?

Hi Thanks for the recommendation so dose that mean to use this tool to manually force the phone to stay on a certain type of band? (eg not using HSDPA?) . I was thinking this would be fully automatic as it is a basic function of a mobile phone
I've installed and will give it a try next time the signal is lost.

Yes you can force the phone to use a certain band, and yes the phone should be doing this automatically but you can use this as a workaround and maybe a future update will solve the problem for you
Hi, guys. Recently I acquired a rog phone 5s, but since I started to use it, I'm facing problems with my connection. Basically what's been going on is that sometimes my wifi starts to disconnect and connect on my phone.
This problem already happened with my father's phone (a realme gt master), but apparently stoped after some months; it happened with my old Poco X3 NFC when I rooted it too. These 2 occurrences make me distrust that the problem is in the wifi network or modem itself.
Some usefull informations:
- Here in Brazil we have some local internet providers that offers optical fiber connection, as the big companies here doesn't offers it in smaller cities. My internet provider is one of those smallers providers.
- I have 2 internet bands, one in 5ghz and another in 2.4ghz. When I had this same problem with my Poco X3, someone here said me that the the reason for the problem is an interference between these 2 channels.
- I never tried to fix this problem changing the networks configs directly on modem or call someone to fix it cause my parents insist that the problem is in the cell phone
Overall, that's it. I'm available to answer any questions in case anyone hasn't understood something, and sorry for my bad english, idk the grammatical rules of that language
That happened to me until the wifi completely went out and never turned back on. It's a motherboard issue I sent it to Asus to get repaired twice
