Hi all! Just coming over from my trusty OP7Pro this week after 3 1/2 years. The phone seems great even though I don't like the punch hole from camera but I've noticed on Pixel and Nova launchers in landscape mode the widgets and icons won't use all the screen. There's a huge gap before the dock on the right and the punch hole on the left sides that's not useable. Seems such a waste and I was wondering if there was a fix or workaround? Apologies for the work in progress kwgt widgets in the screenshot.
Portrait mode isn't great. For one, it makes the text on my widgets get very tine and doesn't scale the wallpaper

Hi, I noticed the same thing, I don't know why they removed that option. Probably you can set it by adb but I don't know how. But you can use an app called Nacho Notch. You just download, open and trigger it in the quick settings.

Go to this oneplus forum page and see post #6. It's a workaround to access the hidden oneplus setting for hiding the notch.
https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/how-to-access-notch-display-on-android-10-in-oneplus-7.1117063/
you don't need the Nova Launcher
just, download from the playstore - " Activity Launcher " app by Adam Szalkowski & run it
Settings > notch display etc..
Is this application: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/adam-...activity-launcher-1-9-0-android-apk-download/
Damn, I didn't realize, the white notch can be so annoying xD

Soooo....!!!Amazing..!!! Thank you..!!
It's not working. I turned off dark mode and applied the theme but still the cameras didn't separate.
It works after I reboot but it crashes sometimes when I'm screen recording. Also it does not show the lightning or charging icon in the status bar in battery when it is plugged to charger
The theme resets to default every sixty minutes. How do I fix this
You have to change dpi in developer settings
This works for the UI. But when playing videos in landscape mod the pill reappears. It would be so cool if we could use dual punch hole throughout the system. Any extra pixels matter.
Change the DPI in the developer settings. One of the YouTubers did it and the two dots separated.

How to change it? Is it the smallest width option? Change it to what value?
Edit:I saw a video in which the guy changed smallest width to 381. It doesn't work on my redmi k30. Also the android q theme isn't available on my China rom themes app
download pixel 4 theme from theme store

Any working notch killer module for android 11/op 8T. Ive tried some and they don't work. Alternatively is there a way to force apps to use the full-screen mode in settings to utilise notch area
Try the cutout settings in the developer options, there's an option to force full screen

If you're talking about the hide notch thing that adds fake black bar that's not what I'm talkkng about.
Notch killer basically forces all apps to use the entire screen(you'll only lose content behind the punch hole)
Also it hides status bar so helps avoiding screen burn ins.
I'm looking for this too. Did you find anything?
Nothing, hoping OnePlus fix full screen apps feature in the next uodate
try g visual mod from magisk that might work

Without root would be best imo. I would opt for a ADB command if needed.
I was reading the discussion in the general "anyone have the Mix Fold 2 already" thread and I wanted to ask a follow up question about finding a keyboard app that makes the device more user friendly. The stock Sogou keyboard scales very well on the folded screen as well as in both portrait and landscape modes when the device is unfolded, but the lack of full English (Latin) character and symbol translation is too annoying. Gboard is fine in landscape mode, but the device seems to display websites and most apps better in portrait mode and in that mode the keyboard takes up half the screen and has no split key mode. Swifkey has a decent split key mode, but it stays in split key mode when you fold the phone making the keyboard too small on the folded screen. Now that MIUI 13.1 Pad firmware has been released for Europe and India for the Mi Pad 5, I've been trying to find out what stock keyboard app Xiaomi includes on that global firmware as it might work well on the MIUI 13.1 Fold firmware that we are on.
I think the best hope for a perfect keyboard is to get gboard working with that magisk module androplus posted.
i wish it was possible to port the samsung keybaord from the fold
I'm thinking I was definitely doing something wrong as I tried for upward of an hour and I could not get any of the Rboard flags to make a difference. I tried both the Magisk and the Gboard app methods but neither made a difference. I'm sure it's a simple oversight.

I did post the profile xml elsewhere anyway see attached. As always please backup before applying these just to be safe.
I've also started experimenting other tasker profiles example to handle DPI scaling on the fly per app basis or global when unfolded. Tasker and Macrodroid have proven to be very usefull for this device.
Hi,

Hi Gfreek. So glad I finally found this thread. I own the Mix Fold 2 since yesterday and I am very satisfied with it so far. I m coming from a Samsung Fold 4.
Can you provide me with a very noob guide to explain how I can make the gboard and SwiftKey combination with Tasker please?
The stock Soguo keyboard seems to have English support but I don t know if it has support for Dutch spelling correction. The options/menu of the Soguo settings is in Chinese so I cannot figure out if it supports more languages
So, I m a bit on my way with this. I bought Tasker and download your 2 .xml files. Both Swiftkey and Gboard are installed. I granted permission via the Tasker Permission on my laptop.
I imported both xmls in the TASKS menu.
What do I need to do now exactly?

HI, have you enabled all the permissions for the Tasker? so it runs in the background as Miui 13 has very aggressive battery management of apps, also have you given the adb permissions for the Tasker so it can change systems settings etc...?

If you want the phone to use the full display and ignore the hole punch camera, then yes there is a way. I use the magisk module "None Display Cutout". After installing, you need to change the Display Cutout setting in Developer Options to "No Display Cutout".
or use AOSP Mods, there is an option to ignore the statusbar, and with xposed pro app you can stretch your apps to fullscreen
