Huawei Honor 4c Update Problem. Help needed.

When I try to update from 44.2 to android v 5 it either says error 7 or E/Wrong command line argument or something.
Any help also they open the bootloader

Can you tell the phone version, Cust and the firmware version you are using and you are upgrading to.

CHM-U01
4.4.2 to android 5 and then 6
emui 3 to emui 3.1

Try to download the firmware once more.... Just to make sure that the firmware file is not corrupted during download...

I did like 20 times already and It was never corrupted :\

Have you tried it using the forced update method?
Flashing recovery and boot from the newer firmware in fastboot mode and then 3 button upgrade method?

I tried by doing it via bootlloader if that's what you mean.

put the upgrade version into dload folder in sd card .
power off
volume up + volume down + power keep 5 seconds release power and keep both volumes it should start upgrading . otherwise there is an issue with ur update folder .

Before the above method, just flash boot and recovery of the firmware (should be latest firmware) in fastboot mode and then try the above...

You need to setup adb on your PC, copy image files to platform-tools folder and then flash them in fastboot mode...

if u cant update normally , yes install fast-boot drivers and package and push them throw adb . GD luck !

There are guides on how to set it up and use it. Just google it buddy...

Download latest Android SDK, install, run manager tool, download platform-tools only, find the platform-tools folder in the directory you installed SDK, right click and choose, open command window here.
That is your adb...

Anyone tried to flash stock fastboot ROM via Official Mi Flashtool?

I got an error while flashing official fastboot ROM on my note 7 pro "error: FAILED (remote: Error: Last flash failed: Volume Full)", after this my device system got destroyed. how can I flash fastboot rom on Redmi note 7 pro?

This most likely happened due to an incompatible flash or incomplete one.
Now try the clear all option and format your phone completely before flashing MIUI again.
Also what OS were you running when this happened?

Before flashing i was using v10.3.7.0 (which was flashed by service center engineers using EDL mode.) And the Flashtool version was 2018.5.28.0.

oh, I forgot to tell you, I got the error while the system partition was flashing.. so definitely it was a incomplete flash.

1. Now download the flashboot ROM u want
2.Now select the flash all including storage option
3. Try flashing it now
It should be successful as this will wipe out the existing OS and install a new one
Also u will lose your data so I hope u had a backup..

If anyone on 10.3.9 & facing bugs & want to downgrade then unlock bootloader & then download minimal adb toolkit extract it & copy the extracted fastboot rom files into minimal adb folder & then put your phone into fastboot mode & then run clear all & install.bat inside the extracted folder & wait for it to finish & you will be able to downgrade because you wont be able to downgrade with mi flash, its a tested process by me as i bricked my bootloader unlocked phone which was only going to fastboot mode, i recovered by this process.

Oh, do u have the TWRP by Petercxy to installed and accessible? If u do u can flash the ROM through that.
(The official TWRP for this device can't)

First unlock the bootloader, you won't be able to flash till the bootloader is unlocked...

Hi all, I've been looking all over for fastboot roms for this device. Can't seem to find them at all. Can anyone please direct me to the location of some ?

They aren't any fastboot roms. What are trying to do/look for? Genuinely curious. :good:

You can use the MSN Tools

One this phone and previous oneplus phones. I somehow have never managed to get phone into edl mode.

Fastboot roms are correct. using adb, you can restore your phone using adb sideload. The only "fastboot" rom around that I know of and have used was extracted using python. However, there's no fastboot rom for tmobile, just msm.

The "fastboot version" of this rom is the EU version. There are no fastboot version of the tmobile version, if that's what you're looking for.

Yes I would like the link please. I have no problem with using adb through fastboot. Just that for this specific phone I couldn't find the files for them

Question twrp recovery

Hoping someone can help me, Im trying to get twrp onto my phone. Is the unofficial the only one available? When I try to use it, I can't get it to work in fastboot.

It's twrp 3.6.2_A12-thor, cmd command, then says recovery. img no such file or directory

"No such file or directory" means that the file "recovery.img" does not exist in the folder/directory that CMD is running in. Make sure you navigate to the right folder where "recovery.img" is located on your computer (or whatever it is called: "somename.img").

I tried flashing my phone by mi flash tool.. but every time flash it says flash done success within 0 sec but actually donot flash. What should I do?

Check here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/flash-tool-guide-use-xiaomi-flash-tool.4262425/that everything is correct, in particular the rom folder must be renamed and in the Miflash folder as well as the version of Miflash (you are using a 2018 version).

I did try what is given here.. even tried the latest version.. first of all this time the driver were not installed,it was crashing flash tool.. and now i am seeing this error while flashing..
