Fastboot roms are correct. using adb, you can restore your phone using adb sideload. The only "fastboot" rom around that I know of and have used was extracted using python. However, there's no fastboot rom for tmobile, just msm.

The "fastboot version" of this rom is the EU version. There are no fastboot version of the tmobile version, if that's what you're looking for.
do you still want the link for the eu version? do you know how to get into "fastbootd?" I will provide links when you reply.

Yes I would like the link please. I have no problem with using adb through fastboot. Just that for this specific phone I couldn't find the files for them

CM11S can be flashed with a custom recovery if its a .zip file, If its a .tar.gz file it has to be flashed with adb. Install the android-sdk platform-tools and unlock the bootloader first and flash a custom recovery in fastboot with adb and flash the CM rom and Gapps.

Its not flashtool you are looking for - its fastboot . Fastboot can be found inside the SDK Tools here.

Yes, fastboot is what he should have written. Flashtool is meant for Sony devices specifically.

. bat

Hi, looking to root my device and in a tutorial it mentions running the windows. bat file?
I don't remember doing this other times I have rooted...
What is it?
How do I run it? Can I just open up cmd in the fastboot location and run it like that?
Been a while since I have rooted or flashed anything so I'm rusty.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.!

... actually the tutorial is for flashing Philz... I will root through recovery...
So, if anyone could give me the best advice for flashing Philz on a Huawei device, it would be all the more appreciated. There are a few tutorials but they seem to be leaving out some specifics.

Huawei Ascend G7 L01
I figured I could just extract the .img to the fastboot location (as I think I have done on other devices, though not Philz recovery) and just flash from there using cmd but not sure what command to use...
I also seem to remember reading you can't or shouldn't flash recovery in fastboot?
Thanks for your help.

You absolutely can, but please be sure that recovery was built specifically for your device. The fastboot command is: fastboot flash recovery (name of) recovery.img

stuck on bootloader mode

I wanted to root my phone using the xda tutorial, everything was going well until i flashed twrp. Minute 5:14 in the tutorial
Then as it is shown in the tutorial I went to recovery mode but nothing happened, it just goes into the oneplus logo and shows the bootloader advice and then goes back to the bootloader.
I used the latest version of everything and checked it was the right model.
How did you flash twrp without having twrp in the first place?
You can only "fastboot boot" it?
i did that, sorry if i'm not clear i've never rooted any phone before
we are going to need more info
what OS version are you on and model of phone (Global, 5G, Tmobo, or EU)
what version of twrp did you try to flash?

Do a Google search for the Stock ROM at your own. If not found request Stock ROM from OEM / carrier.
If you have a copy of Stock ROM at your hands then you flash it by ADB Sideload method.
Code:
adb devices
adb reboot sideload
adb sideload <PATH-TO-STOCK-ROM-ZIP-FILE-HERE>

You will need to search on Google for that because every phone has its own ROM. You will find the procedure there as well so don't worry.

You can find all the instructions on the internet. I cannot know for every phone in this world how to do tons of things. Phones are different and you will have to find it yourself. You can just Google it and everything is there.

with access to fastboot mode you might be able to reinstall default rom if you have the bootloader unlocked
you can try the "tinyflashscript" way and use that to overwrite all partitions with a stock image found here
RET stands for Retail and than the region code follows, just download the latest one for your region
after that your partitions are reset to the start
I have managed to recover from a previous softbrick this way
