I have an XDA 11i - -was on contract but I use ao2 pay as you go SIM card .
I can make and accept phone calls,and send recieve emails etc but I can only view a couple of web pages ie BBC home and Google ( only images!)
and they are both WAP sites.
If I try any other site it just says CANNOT CONNECT.
To get a bit of news I have to use the following
wsp://news.bbc.co.uk/mobile/bbc_
Or for weather i use
wsp://wap.weatheronline.co.uk/02
Can you suggest another way of connecting or any other wap addresses ?

Are you intentionally using WAP sites or are you trying to access the WWW?
I'm afraid despite your several posts and despite your bumping of all of them, it's still not clear what the exact problem is.
It being full of typo's and spelling mistakes doesn't help make the question particularly clear, either.
Please tell us exactly what the problem is. Do you mean to use GPRS instead of WAP, cos I don't know of anyone who would use WAP over GPRS nowadays.

I do , however, consider other people's thoughts and feeling before I write nasty remarks.

I know many people who are dyslexic so I know all about the condition. I also know that the vast majority who post on here who don't spell properly do so because they can't be bothered.
The flag comment was separate and in jest. If someone had directed what I said instead towards me, I would have laughed and thought "doh". It was posted in jest as the wink was designed to show - and for that matter as an attempt to tell you that I was not making a offensive remark related to my previous one.
DK, plus it is the Danish flag that says Denmark when you hover over it. It SHOULD give some clue...it's a national flag afterall.

Did you see whats happening on Howard Forums. Apparently this could happen here.
Basically this is what happening. It turns out Mobitv stores links to their feeds in a plain text file that anyone with internet access can view. Apparently viewing this text file is considered 'hacking'. These feeds do not appear to be protected in an anyway and it appears anyone with a compatible phone can view them.

First of all, I don't know how this is related to Kaiser upgrade, but, anyway, after reading through their conversation, it is clear that MobiTV asked Howard to remove the links just like how Microsoft asked to remove ROMs from this website long time ago. I understand how one could think that those links are not violating anything but if the company already said so and is just asking to remove the links, then why not? Why escalate it?

Howard, great catching up today. Again, we're big fans of the sight and our intention was never to bring your entire sight down or to "censor the Internet" like we're being accused. This glitch is the reason we dont have Sprint TV on our Moguls FYI.

Not sure why you seem to think this is necessary.. I just went over your thread history and though at first glance it might seem like "spam", each and every once is slightly different in title and content and that is not spam.
Maybe looking back, you should have kept all of your games in a single thread and maintained it there but at the same time, each app DOES justify a new thread as per the XDA-Developers.com rules AFAIK.
Don't let these guys get to you man...

i have made games for qvgq vga and wvga i couldnt post them together because it takes me 1-3 weeks apart and by then my old thread would be gone from opening list. But now moderators are pm me saying keep spam down and one moderator said something that pissed me off.He said something about warez.How the hell could i be posting any warez if i made my own games?and all the games i made where 1 to 3 levels max.Wow i cracked a 3 level game.How dumb is it to say that when none of the games i made are for sale, thats just plain stupid.I just want all my stuff of here so when i go on google or yahoo i dont see my games on xda-developers.Xda-developers did say that if any developer requests thier items to be off thier site they will honor that.But i have asked and they have not honored.So i guess they not as honorable as they claim they are.

LOL your logic and responses are baffling. Don't flatter yourself, nobody is following you around the site. Nobody is in your face. Nobody cares. YOU are in OUR faces. Posting separate threads once a week for your incomplete games that nobody downloads, then posting every other month that you're done here. The fits and temper tantrums were entertaining at first, but now they're getting old.
I posted once in one of your game threads and once here. All i said was that you love mario, that you'd be better off keeping your games in one thread (apparently you don't understand the benefits of organization and unification), and that your domain name is awkwardly long. Then you reply with insults and obscenities. Because of that, i've had no problem being brutally honest with you.
Keep it up... your reputation is already ruined here, not that it was ever a good one in the first place. Nobody downloaded your games before, do you think they will start after your display of childishness here? Nope.

I suggest that you cool down request the MOD to delete this thread or close it.
Maybe you have the potential to make some really nice games.
But you need patience to make good things and you don;t need to get offended if someone does not like your work.
You need to be more determined to make something even better so that next time everyone likes it.
See if you just go on ranting swears which are not allowed on this forum and neither appreciated by anyone people will not start appreciating you people will only dislike you and then even if you make any good stuff looking at your track record people would not want to try it.

i was looking though the touch wiz sys dump and i liked the keyboard so i put it in an update format. Just flash it, i gurantee youll like it. If not just remove it. I included the lwp as well that were posted earlier the lwp from it too, they work great on the phone though, I need someone to test it for me, cus swype is a pain to remove w/o wiping, and i already have all this on my phone. you just need to flash it like a rom. It contains 4lwp and 1keyboard app and their libs...dl the new lwp and kb HERE

no time, sorry. you can rip them out and just install though, just make sure you take the lib files that go with them in your libs folder and the apps in your sys/app or data/app folder.

thanks for testing it and the quick feedback. i stated that it included the lwps in the op. they are from the new touch wiz dump. Ill check to see whats up with swype, just figured id throw it out there for those that didnt see this stuff yet....also, did you remove your old swype completely? or did you not have it? cus its VERY hard to get rid of.....just wondering so i can fix if something wrong.

sorry about that, and thanks.ok, soon as i get home ill post a link to a really sweet htc skinned swype mod. i use the red one in my newest rom, but the green one is slick too. im going to hang out for a little bit, when i get back ill put it up, and just take it out of the other one and ill mess with it, since its a full version.....

You saw something you liked, but didn't test it because its too much work to uninstall what you already have but that's ok because you already have it installed so you need someone else to take a blind leap of faith and install something you "gurantee" they'll like but if they don't that's ok too because they can just uninstall it (which really they can't do easily) but if you want to see what it is in the first place tough luck because you're out and about and have no time to post a screenshot for your own quasi-release?
If I were Canadian, I'd add "Eh?" at the end of that.
I strongly recommend that if you want to be taken seriously, you put a little more thought into your release posts. I applaud you for taking the time to share with the community, but frivolous posting of root-level patches without some form of quality control on your part could lead to a dangerous precedent of buggy and/or malicious code being introduced in the same channels.
I know you probably have the communities best interest at heart, but holding yourself to a higher standard keeps the bar high for the rest of those issuing releases to demonstrate an aptitude for solid documentation so people know precisely what to expect from dedicated contributors.

Do you really think i need YOU or ANYONE else to take ME seriously? my work speaks for itself, i could care less what you think of me, but just dont be disrespectful or snotty about it when you obviously have no clue as to what i do, if you say " which really they can't do easily" when you are speaking about removing a single app.I take it youve never been to dev? cus thats what ive been doing for the past 3 days, is working on my last rom. Then when i finish something that takes more than a day i take a break. I am not a developer nor have i ever claimed to be one.i have many contributions to the site,and taken a **** ton of time making sure my theads for them are maintained and everything i work on i support. Not a blind leap of faith, i have many pps that ASK to test for me because i dont have time to when im working. I have a 8mo old and fiance to take care of as well, this cannot be my ENTIRE life(though i might enjoy that)ive been asked permission to port 4 of my roms to other devices, and about 100 pps i talk to on a regular basis,you can talk to that will tell you another story about what I can DO. ? is what can YOU do? and WHY would you be ragging on someone who makes regular contributions to the site to help members enjoy their newest hardware just a little bit more? you want to see more go to hero-cdma and tell me some more about quality control. Also, that guy apparently doesn't realize how big of an asset you've been to the hero and evo communities. Keep up the great work!

tired of being a leacher decided to finally sign up and start sharing, well today i was lurking and i found a whole dump of ICS apps (forgot were sorry) but dont worrie almost every app isnt able to work yet (they were just released last night) people are working on them.
but one app that did work was "Phonesky.apk" which is the market i just renamed it Vending.apk set the permissions with root explorer restart and it works perfect, i havent rly tested much with it, looks the same cant relly say if its faster or not. but here it is.
anyone has any useful info on this please post and if its worthy i will add it to this post

The new market 3.2.0 you collected from the Rom dump was leaked few weeks ago.

thanks guys for not flaming me except that first poster lol, i just found this and seen that the ICS package was released last night (were i found it) and i put them all on my phone and this was the only one that was any good that actually worked, i wasnt aware this was already posted and im sry for the repost but, atleast those who didnt catch it have a chance to get it from me. =P
The funny thing is, if he hadn't come in here acting like a tool bag, this thread probably would have died already and been buried. His attack on you posting the apk makes me wonder if his version is modified... Yours comes up a different size, which obviously means one of you changed something about the app before posting it. I saw someone mention in his thread that his is "different" than other market apps in some way (can't remember exactly). So his attack on you has me wondering if maybe he had tampered with it and sees yours as a threat since any one looking at both will notice there's a size difference between the two.

Yeah, dude needs to relax. Your intention was to help. No need for all the caps. And if he's so concerned about the XDA rules, surely he knows that it's also a violation to present oneself as a mod, i.e. telling people what they can and cannot post Whenever people complain about XDA it's people like that that's always the top complaint.

I appreciate the edits you've made to your original post, it's much better now. It's just that, it's good to remind people to search and show them where the matter has already been covered but we should try and be respectful and helpful about it. Your original post came across as much too harsh a response, considering that the OP was genuinly trying to be helpful.

lol, yeah mines the default one from the whole ICS dump i found i still have all the ICS apps but they dont work, havent checked to see if there was a fix yet

I think the problem was two-fold. First, you used all caps for part of your post originally, which implies you're yelling, and you were aware that you used caps since only part if it was capped. Second, your avatar is off putting. It gives the air of authority (to me, anyway), which I think just amplified the use of caps lock in your original post.
Thanks for changing your post, it is much friendlier now.
But do you have an answer to why the two supposedly identical apk's are different sizes?

The market in my link & that of OP are both 2.5mb. So where did you noticed the size difference????

Yours is 2,46 MB big, his is 2,49 MB - a difference of 30 KB.
I have also noticed the size difference and, obviously, the content difference.
