"Charging connected device via USB" problema. I need help!!!!! - Motorola Edge Questions & Answers

a few days ago my motorola 30 edge phone began to present a problem with his charge, one day after charging it began to appear a silent notification "Charging connected device via USB", I did not pay attention and when I went to make the next charge, it did not charge and continued to appear this notification, after restarting the problem disappeared and everything normal, so it was a few days, but today it returned and in the morning I returned to use my method, but tonight it does not let me charge my phone. I have already carefully cleaned his charging port and I have used its original charger from the first moment (it is relatively new).
I NEED HELP!!!!

OnePlus One Charging and USB Issue

Hey guys, so I have a small problem. I used a Mi Bank (5200mAh) power bank to charge my OPO yesterday. It worked the day before. When I plugged it in yesterday, it charged for like 5 seconds and then wouldn't charge. So I tried a variety of other cables and chargers but none of them worked.
I turned the phone off and plugged it to charge, the charging battery icon would appear, disappear and then the phone would reboot to the charging screen and the cycle continued.
I then let the battery die and did a few power cycles and plugged the phone to charge while it was off. It started to charge and then fully charged. I used the phone till today and wanted to plug it in again. I charged it for around 20 minutes and it worked.
Now, I'm facing the same issue as yesterday.
Phone won't charge
Does not get detected in MTP or ADB mode, but DOES get detected in Fastboot mode.
Ampere shows the voltage as 3.7v, I recall the voltage being around 3.9-4.1v)
OTG also works. I connected a flash drive and it detected the source and I even watched a movie.
When I boot into recovery (TWRP 3.0.2.0) with the battery dead, and connected to the charger, the phone stays ON. I did a full Nandroid backup and a wipe and flashed another ROM as well and the phone stayed on, but as soon as the phone rebooted into the ROM and got to the boot animation, the phone shut down saying "battery low"
Not sure if it was a placebo effect or not, so I wrapped the phone in a dry towel and left it under my pillow for like 30 minutes and then plugged it to charge. It began to charge and after a full charge, I could use the phone without an issue so I proceeded to backup my data to the PC just in case I needed to perform a full wipe. About halfway through the copy process, the indicator light went off and the copy process got cancelled and the phone wouldn't show up in the PC again.
My question is, What is the culprit here?
Do I have to replace the entire motherboard?
Is it just a battery issue?
Is it a USB connector issue?
Any help with regard to this would be much appreciated

Samsung Galaxy S6 is telling me it is overheating, it is cold. How Backup?

Dear Androidpeople,
Since November, I am the glad owner of the Samsung Galaxy S6. I am a really Samsung fan, I have had the S2, S3, S4 and now the S6. The previous two weeks I had some charging issues. In particular, sometimes I had to plug in the cable three times before it really 'connected' and started charging. I tried it after that with another Samsung cable and this problem was solved. The day before yesterday I was planning to charge my phone and when I attached the cable to the phone it only started to charge after the phone was already 10 minutes connected.
Till this issues I didn't see that much problems. Every morning my phone was with al my problems, fully charged. Since yesterday, the big problem started. My phone was complete dead/0% battery. I wanted to charge my phone and I got this error: (I got the error in Dutch and tried to translate it, as best as I could)
Cannot charge phone
"The device is stopped charging. De battery temperature is too high. Be careful with disconnecting your charger. It could be very hot."
"When you disconnect the charger and reconnect is afterwards, you could possibly proceed charging your phone. If this overheating issue keeps existing, please contact our customer service because of risk of fire and injuries."

I have never had a problem of this kind. My phone and charger were both fully cold. I spoke with a guy at Vodafone and he told me this should be a case of warranty of Samsung/Vodafone. The problem now is, back-up.
The device is 0% charged, I could not charge it anymore and when I turned my phone on, it directly turned off. Now did I try to charge it yesterday and last night with multiple chargers. This morning it suddenly was 13% charged. So i quickly ran to my laptop to connect my device with it and start back-upping photos. But after connecting it tries to charge and I get the same error as i mentioned above. If I just look on the device itself every app is blocked for 'safety reasons' except 'Phone' and 'Contacts'. I cannot look into the Gallery, Dropbox or Onedrive. The device connecting with the laptop was not helpful. The laptop does not recognize any phone connected to it. So copying files from the laptop and the phone are not working. It looks the end of the possible solutions but maybe I forgot something.
Things tried tot fix it:
- Three different chargers
- Two different laptops
- Two different data cables
- Connecting via power, via laptop via the power bank.
- Cleared Dalvik Cache.
When I let him pick up by Vodafone they will try to fix the issue, but I will lose every photo from it. I know I should make a backup earlier. But that is talking now. Is there maybe one solution, one clever thing, one special tweak I could do to save my photo? Or should I start my grieving process?

Doogee Y6 is not charging

Hello,
My name is Nick and I'm owner a Doogee Y6. The phone is having a problem charging, but I don't know how to identify the cause of the problem. I think it might be the battery, USB board or something else.
I'll explain how the problem started.
I always put my smartphone to upload overnight, but on Saturday night to Sunday (24/06 to 25/06) My cellphone did not charge anything, when waking up, I put it to charge again and then it charged normally. The next night, the same problem happened, but this time you didn't charge it anywhere else. The connector was with bad contact, it took depending on the position. It appeared the text "Charging", but it did not charging in fact, always continued the same percentage. Until I left the cellphone for 2 hours in the charger and went up only 9%, after that I put some applications to be downloaded because I had formatted the cellphone and went to sleep when I woke up my cellphone was discharged. Since then, I can't charge my cellphone and your battery can't be removed.
The cellphone I imported through the gearbest and there are no parts available for it in my country (I'm from Brazil), I have to import. I thought I'd import the USB board, but I don't know if that's the problem.
Note: Day 04/06 my cellphone crashed and latched the screen, but the operation continued perfect.
Note 2: On Saturday (24/06) I switched the ROM on my cellphone. I had done it several times before, this time I went back to the stock (thing I had already done before too).
Help me pleaaaaaaaase!

Hopefully, the problem has been fixed! If not, then understand that the battery is removable. You just have to remove the back cover (you'll find a way!).
And then disconnect the battery from the motherboard. It's not hard wired to the motherboard, so you can easily do it.
After removing it, try to dry it (or something) and then put it back.
If you want an advice, it's a VERY BAD idea to charge the phone overnight!
first day on and i see this, rechecked male cord to device, carefully adjusted connnector prongs, downloaded usb drives for android from playstore. so far so good.

Pixel 2 says it is always charging / will not charge

Recently got a Pixel 2 and it sometimes has this problem:
* Battery icon indicates that it is charging, even when it is not plugged into anything.
* When it's doing this, if I plug it in, it will not charge (but still indicates that it is charging)
* If I notice this and restart the phone, it resumes working normally.
Anyone else experience this?
Any ideas on a fix?
My Pixel 2 will get stuck at 100% after being charged overnight, under the battery settings it states that the battery information is not available. So far a reboot will fix the problem, I haven't allowed the phone to stay in the 100% state for long without a reboot. Today I'm going to leave it at 100% to see if the phone corrects the issue eventually during the day...report pending.
same. i noticed it today for the first time today. plugged it in (not the charger that came with the phone, one used for my s7 with a usb-c cord) 20 minutes later noticed it hadn't charged any even though it said it was charging, and the level had actually went down. power cycled it, now it's charging again.
I just had that same problem on my pixel 2. A single reboot didn't help, but a second reboot fixed it. Weird....
Same issue. Plugged into car, says charging, levels dropping, even after reboot. Tried different cables and charger, no difference. Wife just walked in and said her Nexus 5 is doing the same thing! HEY GOOGLE, what did you send out to cause this?
This happened to me today too, right before I was going to update to 8.1. Phone said it was charging all day, even though it wasn't plugged in. A reboot didn't fix it. Then tried Turn Off, and it rebooted and now seems fine.
Having this right now. A few reboots and even shutting the phone down hasn't helped so far. Will run the phone empty to see what happens.

Happens occasionally to me as well. I often disconnect charger from the power rather than pull the charging cable out of the phone first. I wonder if the relatively slow fall in charging voltage when I remove power from the charger makes the problem more likely.
For those who have this problem:
Are you using original charger and cable?
Are you terminating charging by disconnecting power from the charger first, or pulling the cable out the phone whilst power is still on?
Is the phone screen on when you do it?
Anyway, I find a "hold the power key on the phone down for many seconds until it turns off" reboot fixes it until the next time...
1. I was actually using the portable charger that came with my 6P. The Pixel 2 isn't available in the Netherlands as it came with a UK plug.
2. Both methods had the same behaviour. Normally I pull the plug from the socket first before going unplugging it from the phone.
3. 20% of the time the screen is on and the phone unlocked. Most of the times it's just active display.
The phone eventually died despite being plugged in. I started charging again when I used one of the regular chargers (cord not separable). And not it works normally again with the portable charger.

Was this without rebooting the phone? I.e. you fixed the problem just by temporarily plugging in a 'regular' charger?
The phone was dead so I'd consider it a reboot. I left it on the charger to get a full battery again. The problem was gone as I did a check 45 Mon after plugging it in.

Phone won't charge!

Hello,
I recently started having odd problems with my phone where it wouldn't charge without restarting it, would restart by itself and oddly indicate it was charging with no charger plugged in until restarted. I can't be certain but it may have started since the recent update (UK). Yesterday I woke up to find the phone was off, I put it on charge every night so this seemed odd. On turning it back on I found it hadn't charged at all from the 66% it was on the night before. During the course of the day it became apparent that despite the orange LED being on, it wasn't actually charging. Did a factory reset, no difference. Tried a variety of cables and chargers, no difference. I wondered if the USB port was a problem but ADB can see the phone just fine. At the time of writing it has been on charge for several hours, using the same cable and charger I have used every night for several months. The orange LED is blinking and that's it, the buttons do not vibrate. As soon as you remove the cable the LED turns off. It's now a rather shiny paper weight.
Does anybody have any idea what is going on or what else I could try? Otherwise I'll RMA it.
Thanks,
Mark
