Oneplus 8T - Swapping components between KB2007 & KB2000 - Android General

Hi,
Mistakenly I ordered this OnePlus 8T (KB2007) through eBay which is locked to T mobile US. In my country T-Mobile network is not available. Now I got a lead to this OnePlus 8T (KB2000 global version) with a display issue (other than the display issue all other functions are working well in that phone). And I can get it for a very fair deal.
What I am thinking is to get this phone (KB2000) and swap its inside parts with my OnePlus 8T (KB2007). So I just need the 'display and the housing' of the KB2007 to be compatible with the other components of KB2000 (both phones exactly same 12 Gb RAM, 256 Storage 5G version)
I just want to know whether this is technically feasible?
Because I still need to pay and buy that KB2000 from this local seller. If the components are not compatible and can not be swapped with my phone the money spent will be a waste. So before buying I need to make sure whether it is compatible.
All your support is warmly welcome !

Bump !
Nobody willing to help ???

Oneplus 3T A3010 T-Mobile Support

Hi all!
I'm looking to buy this Oneplus 3t used from this link - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MS66QGE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A389ML6MNB3VQK&psc=1,
This product is listed as the chinese version. I have several questions as to what this means. Can I get an LTE connection from T-Mobile using this phone? Does this mean that the phone ships with hydrogen OS instead of Oxygen OS? What other limitations will be presented to me using the chinese version of the phone?
If the phone ships with hydrogen, I'll just flash oxygen, not a big deal. What is a big deal is T-Mobile LTE support. (Note:I live in eastern PA). Some say that band 12 from T-Mobile cannot be accessed on the oneplus 3t. Some say it's a hardware issue, some say it's a software issue. I really can't justify buying this phone if I can't get a solid LTE connection (my current Nexus 6 phone works flawlessly in this regard). All of the forum posts that I have read seem to be many months old. I'm hoping that the issue was fixed at this point. I'm not even really sure what the "chinese version" means.
Any info at all helps!
Thanks so much!

Will Tmobile/other version work on Verizon? Or stick to gm1917

Hi, I want to get a 7 Pro to replace my Mi Mix running AICP on Verizon in the USA. I'm wondering which model(s) will work, and if any versions will have a more reduced capability on Verizon. I do not have 5g, and don't think I will while I have this phone.
Will only gm1917 work?
I couldn't find anything about people using the gm1915 tmobile 7 Pro on verizon network. I'm wondering if it's a bad idea to buy a tmobile version (used, might save a little money or find a good price quicker). Any idea if converting tmobile > international version would work also?
A lot of ebay sellers do not list the model #, or say whether tmobile or whatever. I'm a little worried about receiving something not gm1917
I want 8gb or 12gb + 256gb.
gm1917 north america
gm1915 tmobile
gm1920 5g Europe
gm1925 5g Sprint (I don't need 5g)
I read about the other 7 Pro + Verizon quirks: wifi calling, might need to troubleshoot CDMAless, etc. That seems fine, I'm willing to do some work to get it rooted, rom'd, & running. I love the Mi Mix + AICP, if I could upgrade the camera I'd keep it. If you've got any other advice, please lmk.
Thank you for all the help on the excellent forums

T-Mobile will work. Updates are slow.
I have the GM1917
Since your with Verizon I would go with the 1917 version. I don't know about TMobile but I have the 1910 and has Verizon's main bands and you can talk and use data and send a text but won't receive a text back. I went through this scenario with verizons rep and made sure cdma less feature was on and just would not work. You can try with the TMobile but it's less of a headache and time if you just get the 1917.

EU model on Verizon?

Hey guys I just bought a OnePlus 8 off Amazon to replace my Pixel 2 XL. However today I noticed it's the EU model IN2013, NA is IN2015, I already knew not to buy IN2010 the Chinese version however I didn't know the US unlocked was a different model because nowhere I looked online mentioned it. I looked at the LTE bands before purchasing it and saw it supports all of Verizons bands (especially the critical band 13) so in theory it should still work right? My fear is when I give them the IMEI to enable CDMA Less on my line they will notice its an EU model that's "not approved on their network" and thus that will prevent it from working even though it supports all their bands.
Now to answer some questions:
Why did I buy this from Amazon instead of OnePlus?
Because it was $100 cheaper and the only way to get the Onyx Black color
Why didn't I buy the Verizon version?
Because it's $100 more expensive than the unlocked and it has a locked bootloader like all of Verizons phones

Hi,
I don't think they won't approve your device. I'm living in France so I don't know much about the Verizon Politics about that. But if they have common sense, they won't refuse just because it's not one of their devices, they may lose a lot of customers if they did so. There's a Verizon model to support their 5G, but for LTE it's all good.
In France, no carrier would dare doing that, because everybody buys their phones on internet, already unlocked and stuff...
There's a huge competition between carrier so they won't dare to be so restrictive on who can use their network or not. It'd be like "if you want to give me money, you have to pay me at least 600$+60$/month, who do you think I am, I'm not accepting just 60$ every single month", that makes no sense, only Karens thinks like that.
So LTE is cool, but I can't say that for the Verizon 5G
Hope this helped
I already knew 5g wasnt going to work but I don't care because Verizon uses mmwave 5g and that's not coming to my area any time soon. I just want to make 100% sure LTE works, right now I'm 90% sure but that IMEI thing has me worried, Verizon only allows approved devices on their network (absolute BS imo, if it supports all your bands it should just work). I don't know if they support only the American OnePlus 8 (IN2015) if so that would suck because hardware wise the IN2015 and IN2013 are virtually identical from what I could find with only a few bands missing from the IN2013 but they don't matter for Verizon

Question Anyone know a trusted source to buy LE2113 (global/EU) variant of OnePlus 9 that can also ship to Canada/US?

Hello XDA people,
I am looking for a trusted source to get LE2113 (global/EU) variant of OnePlus 9, specifically looking for 12GB RAM 256GB storage size, that can ship to Canada or US (I live in Canada). All official OnePlus websites in Europe only can ship within Europe. AliExpress's official OnePlus store has a similar problem too when ordering the EU version. Anyone know or have bought this variant and got it shipped to Canada/US, and from where?
I tried this website: https://www.teknistore.com/en/64-bi...isplay-android-11-48mp-camera-warp-charg.html, but I got a feeling it is a scam from the reviews on the website in general.
Thanks.
You may want to check the radios on those to make sure that they're compatible with your provider. The EU version doesn't have the same radios as the North American version. The NA version actually has MORE radios.
Unless the extra RAM and storage are important to you, I'd just get the NA version an you can convert it to the EU ROMs.

The EU version has most of the network support in US/Canada (it supports all of the networks of the carrier I am using here in Canada - I am using Freedom Mobile). The reason I want the global/EU variant is because of the dual SIM support.
what country are you in?

I mentioned that in my previous answer. I live in Canada, and I am using Freedom Mobile. I checked Kimovil for the network bands support, and my carrier has 100% support (not all phones have that, especially band 13). In fact, this phone has green everywhere with good support, so I believe it will work great with most networks across US/Canada, hence why it is a global version.
Yeah... eBay.
They got one on there for $550 right now

Can you send me the link to the product in eBay? I want the LE2113 (EU/Global) version, not the LE2110 (CN) [with global ROM] version, or any other version?
It's the single sim TMobile version.
Why don't you want the Chinese one? That's what I got. I think it's the best one. And Ive had every OTA on this device. AA, BA and Da...

The problem is with the network support. Check Kimovil for the CN version vs Global version vs NA version vs IN version. NA version has the best network support overall and in North America. Global version falls slightly short, but I want that due to having dual SIM support, so I can tolerate a bit loss of network support over no dual SIM (if NA has eSIM at least, I'd get it, otherwise forget getting a single SIM phone). CN is super ****ty version because of the lack of many network bands support in global and in North America, as well as missing the wireless charging (wireless charging is not that important for me now). IN version is even ****tier in all of the things I mention before.
This is my reasoning to get a LE2113 (global version) instead of the other versions. I have a global version OnePlus 3, and back then the networks are fine since, for example, bands 4 and 7 were heavily used everywhere, but now they seem to be discontinued in many places, and I would need a phone with band 13 (long distance frequency) to get a signal in many areas (at my home, it is always in roaming now).

Pros and cons of opting for a OP8T KB2007 Tmo version vs KB2005 to root?

Hey guys so I'm new to rooting and have spent weeks doing my homework to decide what phone to purchase to root to balance price/specs and rooting difficulty/obstacles, I landed on Oneplus phones for the price to performance and their rep for being fairly straightforward to root with no notorious/obscure obstacles.
I ended up finding an unlocked Oneplus 8T KB2007 Tmo version brand new for $300 and thought the price for the specs was a really great deal, however reading into the XDA guides for rooting the TMO version I discovered the obstacles that KB2007 owners have to overcome with requesting and waiting on the boot loader unlock pin from oneplus, as well as stock images being notoriously hard to come by online (Though I did manage to find guides on how to pull my own stock image without root and seems to work for KB2007 owners)
My main question is, for any rooted kb2007 owners here, is there any general obstacles/headaches/potential issues or tips in either rooting the TMO version as well as general operation of the rooted model after that I should be aware of ? Do any of you regret not going for the KB2005 for a particular reason? Any help would be appreciated , The price and specs are so ideal for me but I'm really worried there might end up being more problems than it's worth
If you want to use OxygenOS, TMO updates very slow and only has a single sim slot.
But with enough skills you can bake newer global kb2005 firmware into your kb2007 and enable dual sim at home.
If you plan to use custom roms like LineagsOS, you should concern about basebands:

4G & 5G Bands, Carrier Aggregation and Dual Connectivity Combinations for OnePlus 8T (T-Mobile US) (KB2007)
cacombos.com
Kb2005 and kb2007 have different 4G & 5G basebands. Kb2007 support more 4G bands.
As for root, since your kb2007 is fully unlocked, nothing differs or matters about root.
And, check your ufs version and memory version.
My kb2007 has ufs 3.0 and lpddr4.
Some device randomly has ufs 3.1 or lpddr5, which gives slightly performance upgrade.
