Question Anyone know a trusted source to buy LE2113 (global/EU) variant of OnePlus 9 that can also ship to Canada/US? - OnePlus 9

Hello XDA people,
I am looking for a trusted source to get LE2113 (global/EU) variant of OnePlus 9, specifically looking for 12GB RAM 256GB storage size, that can ship to Canada or US (I live in Canada). All official OnePlus websites in Europe only can ship within Europe. AliExpress's official OnePlus store has a similar problem too when ordering the EU version. Anyone know or have bought this variant and got it shipped to Canada/US, and from where?
I tried this website: https://www.teknistore.com/en/64-bi...isplay-android-11-48mp-camera-warp-charg.html, but I got a feeling it is a scam from the reviews on the website in general.
Thanks.

You may want to check the radios on those to make sure that they're compatible with your provider. The EU version doesn't have the same radios as the North American version. The NA version actually has MORE radios.
Unless the extra RAM and storage are important to you, I'd just get the NA version an you can convert it to the EU ROMs.

The EU version has most of the network support in US/Canada (it supports all of the networks of the carrier I am using here in Canada - I am using Freedom Mobile). The reason I want the global/EU variant is because of the dual SIM support.

I mentioned that in my previous answer. I live in Canada, and I am using Freedom Mobile. I checked Kimovil for the network bands support, and my carrier has 100% support (not all phones have that, especially band 13). In fact, this phone has green everywhere with good support, so I believe it will work great with most networks across US/Canada, hence why it is a global version.

Can you send me the link to the product in eBay? I want the LE2113 (EU/Global) version, not the LE2110 (CN) [with global ROM] version, or any other version?

The problem is with the network support. Check Kimovil for the CN version vs Global version vs NA version vs IN version. NA version has the best network support overall and in North America. Global version falls slightly short, but I want that due to having dual SIM support, so I can tolerate a bit loss of network support over no dual SIM (if NA has eSIM at least, I'd get it, otherwise forget getting a single SIM phone). CN is super ****ty version because of the lack of many network bands support in global and in North America, as well as missing the wireless charging (wireless charging is not that important for me now). IN version is even ****tier in all of the things I mention before.
This is my reasoning to get a LE2113 (global version) instead of the other versions. I have a global version OnePlus 3, and back then the networks are fine since, for example, bands 4 and 7 were heavily used everywhere, but now they seem to be discontinued in many places, and I would need a phone with band 13 (long distance frequency) to get a signal in many areas (at my home, it is always in roaming now).

Buying Mix3 in China

Hello everyone.
I want to buy Mix3 in online chinese markets as soon as it's available, I don't want to wait January when it will be available in Italy.
The question is: can I buy the Mix3 online in China and flash xiaomi.eu ROM or another i want? Or the Chinese Xiaomi phones are locked?
same here!
i have a friend in China for a couple of weeks. wanting him to buy there and bring back to USA for T-Mobile use. Can i get a global version or flash a global ROM to a Chinese version phone. I would assume an unlocked phone from a store there could work just fine. That is my hope.

You need to make sure that he is grabbing the right model for Tmo bands. Then it will work. No global rom as of yet, so you are stuck on the CN rom for a bit (a la no Google out of the box)

thanks. that makes me kinda want to wait. If looking at the GSMArena specs, its got most of T-Mobiles bands...but If sometime later there may be a UK/Global model maybe its best not to grab one from China quite yet. But that is a gamble weather it would even support those 2 missing T-Mobile bands anyways, but at least there would be a better ROM for it.
Ya, I want the phone for the L1 + L5 GPS GNSS but it lacks Band 71. Google always tries to copy Apple too much and cannot put GNSS bands into their pixel 3. You would have thought they would have done that (besides I hate the stupid chin-pull out speakers would be awesone though). What I can tell the 256GB has B66 while the 128GB lacks B66. If anyone would confirm that?? Sounds like GNSS phones are MIA except by China.

OnePlus 7 8GB/256GB Is $385USD! Cheaper With Coupons On November 11. Cheaper In China

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/330...&terminal_id=de458ebb0dce4d89b0355a0cd30df9d9
Hopefully this will entice developers to buy the phone and develop more ROMs and kernels for it. $385 is really cheap and to me, it's like a flagship killer all over again.
Only difference is in LTE bands between global and China/Indian variants
If anyone has friends in China, OnePlus China has the OnePlus 7 8GB/256GB for 2,500RMB.
You better buy from Gearbest - it's the same price using the code GBOP712256G. If you are from EU than you don't have any problem with the customs as if you buy from Aliexpress.
Just don't. Oneplus 7T is $415
Looks like it'll be $315USD on Singles Day! Solid price for a solid phone. Really tempted to get one now and replace my faulty OnePlus 5T.

Do you happen to know the difference between the $419 version and the $499 "international" version?
Seems like a steal at that price.
It's such a great phone I'd almost consider having a spare one.
Absolutely don't understand the appeal of the Pro — the battery is bigger but not better because of larger screen, and as a non-gamer the OP7 screen is way fast and accurate enough, wouldn't see the difference.

It's the same version - GM1900 a.k.a. Chinese version with flashed global ROM, the only difference is the RAM: first has 8GB RAM, second has 12GB RAM.
https://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_009591521059.html?wid=1349303 - this is what i bought a month ago, now it says i have an "email only price" (i think that you need to add it to favorites to get this offer) - $389.99. You can also buy it with a discount code - GBOP7GSBW - it should be $389.99.
Is there any difference in the OP7 models, 1900 vs. 1903? Isn't LTE band support the same?

There's a slight difference in LTE bands but the China/Indian variants support most LTE networks around the world. I updated the OP with a site for you to check the LTE bands and see if they work with your wireless network provider.

I compared the 1903 (Global) vs. 1900 (China) on Kimovil and it looks like the Global version has support for a couple of extra LTE bands although according to OnePlus website there isn't any difference? If there really is any difference in LTE band support in 1903 vs. 1900, is it just a firmware difference or an actual internal hardware difference?
If there really are additional LTE bands supported in 1903, is there any way to know which model you get from Gearbest or you don't just get a 1900 loaded with a Global ROM? Based on some of the pictures posted in reviews, Gearbest appears to be selling 1900 although maybe they are all the same and it doesn't matter.

I bought from GearBest. They are selling GM1900 with a global rom flashed(the GM57AA if not mistaken)... i flashed the latest(10.0.1.GM57BA) and it's working great.
Today's the day! Any developers buying it?
I also bought GM1900 variant of Oneplus 7 8GB RAM 256 GB ROM flashed with global ROM. I am now at 10.0.1 GM57AA Oxygen OS version. Phone works great and i saved around 80$ compared with the international version. I also checked the supported bands at the link provided by OP (thanks for that) and here are the differences in a brief summary for everybody who wonders.
4G (LTE) - Global version supports bands B25 (1900+) and B30 (2300) in addition to those supported also by the China version (GM1900). These two bands are exclusively used in USA and operators there support many more bands also. So the only case when you need international would be if you live in USA and are sure that your operator uses exclusively B25 and/or B30 LTE bands at your location. In all other cases you are safe with China GM1900 flashed with global ROM.
3G - China version (GM1900) supports band B9 (1800 Japan) which is not supported by Global. Everything else is the same.
2G - Same frequencies support for both China and Global versions.
To sum it up - GM1900 flashed with global ROM looks great deal to me.
I also bought the Red limited Chinese edition with 256GB and 8GB of RAM and I'm supper satisfied especially that I sold my 1 year old 6T for 370e and bought brand new OP7 for 396e!
Flashed EU Rom (BA) and everything works flawlessly. Also I have to say OP7 is a heck of an upgrade. FP sensor is miles better and works so fast no matter what. Speakers are better, touch responsiveness is better, camera is better, overall speed and fluidity is better. Design is the same but in my opinion it's still a nice looking phone and I think build quality seems better on OP7.
I'm still on Pie as the first builds of Android 10 are too buggy but if someone contemplates whether to upgrade or not I would really recommend it. All those little annoying things from 6T were fixed and this phone especially for that price has no match!

Well OnePlus forums is flooded with people having issues all over. On top of that you can't hide the notch and there is no two button navigation on Android 10 which is something I use and I don't know if I can live without

Hello, it's pretty simple in this case.
512 GB version is available internationally, is single-SIM, has fully working VoLTE and VoWi-Fi, has firmware named PCH and its global ROM is vastly superior to the Chinese one (less bloatware, very little restrictions about customization).
256 GB version is available only in China, is dual-SIM, has neither VoLTE nor VoWi-Fi, has firmware named PDEM and its Chinese ROM has some bloatware and more importantly unpleasant and incovenient restrictions for the user.
Hope that helps
More advanced answer:
Currently there's a battle on two fronts:
users try to flash the much more user-friendly Global ROM on the Chinese device but without success so far; it seems that an unlocked booloader might be required which is still a long way to go
users try to make the Global model work as dual-SIM as it actually physically has a double SIM-card tray so there is a tiny possibility that it's a very weird software limitation (breakable in the future) but I would't have high hopes
Thank you, I want / need dual sim, (work etc) so will probably have to give this a "miss" unless.......

No problem, glad I could.. "help".
No one has a clue why Oppo made this limitation, both phones (CPH and PDEM) are identical (hardware-wise), both have dual SIM-card tray but only the Chinese software is capable with working with two SIMs.
The phone is so great I might let go of dual-SIM requirement but I understand it's the decisive factor for many. Oppo has surely cut their profits by doing this and I've never seen anything like this before (phone hardware supporting it but an artificial software change blocking it).
I agree totally, it's ludicrous that this should be the case?
If only they gave users the choice? After all it's £1099 phone, it should be!?
Apparently Clove, (UK) has the dual sim version. Ceramic black only though, at the moment.

It's either a typo (misleading information), or they're offering the Chinese model with Chinese software and 256 GB storage (the latter option is very unlikely).
Remember, technically the phone is always dual-SIM. That might be the source of their information.

Ok, that sounds strange (or interesting, depending on the point of view). Currently, as the international CPH version of Find X2 Pro doesn't support dual-SIM, there are two possibilities:
- they're still sharing misleading information (deliberately or not) and the phone will be single-SIM
- the phone will come with a brand new version of Global ROM firmware which somehow enables dual-SIM (and which hasn't been released yet), which would give hope to other users of international CPH version.
Hardware-wise the version you're ordering is 99% the same as the ones already released in countries like Netherlands, Germany.

I might add, that until this question is clarified? I will not be ordering,
Single SIM?
Dual SIM??
it's just all over the place at the moment??
I thought i posted this here also :
Ok after some research, and reading another post in the forum, i can mostly confirm that there ARE 2025 GLOBAL models with dual sim around. Apparently the Clove is getting the dual sim.
Clove find x2 pro
and i confirm this is correct by going to the UK site of oppo...

This means that's even crazier than i thought... some markets, even in the EU get the dual sim and others dont....
but just to make you laugh check this out :

I stand corrected!!! Oppo is really not clear on this.
As this is very WRONG
on the top of their site : it says "dual 5G" which can make one believe that it's dual SIM. But when you scroll down to "network" it clearly says "Single sim".
Uk Oppo site
So why do they mention dual 5G ?(maybe the two 5G (mmWave and the other one).
I sent an email to Oppo asking for some clarfication.
I checked all around the world which markets have dual sim (outside of China) and apparently none have it.
So i'm waiting on feedback from another member who has a 2025 but dual SIM... this is all very confusing.
just to add some more confusion (salt into wounds, so to speak) into this... Amazon UK also claims "dual-sim" in their pre-order for June 10th release. Also Orange version, 12GB 512GB.... sold and dispatched by Amazon... :crying: :fingers-crossed:
I loved this phone in PDEM version but the lockdown of the software made me switch to Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro (plus I can use custom roms). Dual SIM especially since this is band capable for TMobile and Verizon in the states. I love dual sim... if dual sim is confirmed, i'm switching back in a heartbeat... just given the facts though, I think it is sellers typo in their information. Oppo clear states on UK site, CPH2025 model, Single SIM.

OnePlus 8 (IN2010) Chinese Bands vs Europe

Hello,
i would just like to know if OnePlus 8 (China version) is good enough to support 4G LTE in EU, does it have all the bands required? I've read about "band 28" which it lacks and that this will be used for 5G? I don't care for 5G (yet), so my question is, will it work for everything else, is it good enough, i'm from Slovenia if that helps, i've been checking the bands, but i'm too confused to know what to think about this, those are too confusing for me, i've been checking them, but i'm just not sure, i think it should be fine, but i'm not 100% sure, so if anyone who knows this stuff can tell me, or even better, someone who has that OnePlus 8 phone can tell me, that would be great (=
Greetings
I have just ordered a CN version for use in the UK and from what i have read it lacks 1 frequency (band 32 i think) which from what i'm aware o2 in UK doesn't use .... Is this correct anyone? (Sorry if this a thread hijack)

Oh thx, I didn't see that one coming , so I have 2 questions : where to search for those infos (regional variants numbers I mean) and is this a software matter or a hardware matter ? (Will there be missing/China specials bands in it or it's just software)

I just use google to find out a variant. The main differences are hardware related, specifically the bands of the device. There is also a chinese version of Oxygen OS which is called Hydrogen OS , but this can change easily by flashing global unlocked OxygenOS without any compromises.
Here you can learn more about the bands in each version : https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/g1rm7e/oneplus_8_pro_versions_and_4glte_and_5g_nr/
Edit: I think there is not a global version bandwise. (US, Europe, India and China as far as i know )

Thanks for all this clarification, indeed I've been kinda fooled by marketing speech...
I've bought the OnePlus 8 not on the OnePlus website but on another one, and the announce said "OnePlus International Version IN2010", I was like "cool, plus it's cheap, let's get this".
Now I understand the business behind the whole website (a French one): they buy in China, flash the global rom manually and sells it cheaper, but make a little margin on the final price. That's why they call it international, just because of the ROM!
I knew (but still wanted confirmation) about missing bands a HydrogenOS and now I fully understand the market scheme. So I'll be missing B28 band (used in France with my career for 4G LTE)and an EU-compatible charger. No big deal but I'm kinda disappointed in myself, not being able to see through marketing speech and candidly trusting attractive prices... Well, we learn as we make mistakes (and I'm not ready to forgot that one).
One last think, kil-movil had a section for the OnePlus 8 called "Global" with every bands marked as available, and the model number was still IN2010. I guess they're part of the deal, since when I clicked on "see offers" I was redirected to the website I bought it in.
Even the seller was lying as he said "compatible with every bands in France". And when people ask, he was denying it every single time
Thanks for your explanations tho, I'll be able to warn the next ones at least.

That is unfortunate. Can't you claim RMA or something?

Yup don't worry, I can return it and having all my money back but I don't think I will, my Nextbit Robin (daily driver) is dying and not having B28 4G out of 4 other antennas available isn't a big deal. I have only 50 Mo of data so I don't use 4G often. I would have been bothered by the charger but the seller claims (if it's not a lie) that he gives us an adapter. (Comments says he does, so hopefully he'll do)
Right now the only thing I have to do is getting past the disillusionment with some good music. Have you any title to recommend?
I have here listed supported 4G & 5G bands and Carrier Aggregation combinations of OnePlus 8:

IN2013= EU version, not global, there is no global version.
But thx for the website, it's nice to have that tool
Is it possible to activate the VoLTE service (Vodafone ITA) with IN2010?
Hello, I have just ordered the oneplus 8 through Fnac and I think it is the version IN2010, seem like I cant find any EU version from fnac ( sorry im new in France )
My question is do you know any others site selling op8 EU version if not, does the IN2010 work fine in france?

General Tencent version bad service in US with T-Mobile

So I ordered the ROG Phone 5 Tencent version by mistake and I couldn't cancel it in time before they shipped it. I tried out the phone upon receiving it even though I had already read about the issues with 5G connectivity in the US. Testing out the bands with LTE Connectivity it obviously will not connect to any of T-Mobile's 5G bands in the US and on top it will only connect band 4 of tmobiles 4GLTE which is quite slower than band 66. I tested it side by side with my old Galaxy Note 8 and the note 8 was consistently getting better speeds of about 60/5 on band 66 while the tencent ROG phone 5 was only getting about 25-30 download at most on band 4. I promptly created a return order and bought the international version from NGP.
So in summary for those wondering, the tencent ROG phone 5 does not have the bands needed for a phone at this price point.
Check out this link for an accurate list of bands for the China version and then the international version.
Will Asus Rog Phone 5 work in USA?
In this page we are going to show you the compatibility of Asus Rog Phone 5 with the mobile networks of USA and with the telephony operators that provide service in USA.
www.kimovil.com
I will be receiving my international version in 2 days and will be testing the mobile bands in the Los Angeles area. Hoping for 5G!!
Please let us know of your findings as im getting ready to buy the international version from the same place! and am also using T-Mobile
Also, does anyone have an info on an official USA launch? (not carrier held but like ASUS selling the phone on the USA e store website)
A how to guide for getting bad service?

Doesn't the tencent version support SA 71? T-Mobile recently added that frequency I believe unless I misunderstood

It's going to be hit or miss, depending on location.
So I ordered the international version literally 2 days before the USA version came out to just find out that it's the exact same **** as the Tencent version. NO 5G on T-Mobile and it uses the slowest bands for 4GLTE. My LTE speed in the LA area is an abysmal 27mb download and a 9mb upload. What an absolute nightmare this has been. The one time I try to go something besides Samsung or Apple.
Does anyone know what the restocking fee's are on these returns?

i thought it says its nothing if the return is because youre having connection/network issues, i just ordered the USA version, ill let you know how that one behaves when it arrives on saturday
i have a new sim card waiting for the phone when it arrives (supposedly you need a new sim to use 5g on tmobile)

True that. I have the Tencent on Metro I get LTE but no 5g, I love this phone I have no issues with it but 5G would be awesome. They say they use the same service but really they don't they're both different frequencies I'm eager to try that new T-Mobile SIM card though since my phone is dual SIM I think I might go ahead and get the T-Mobile service with the SIM card I'll report back that you guys know how it goes thinking about doing it this coming week.

Actually, the international version is basically the same as the US version without warranty coverage.
If they are the same, it doesn't make sense to eat the restocking fee then. Rotary88, are you using a current SIM like the other user mentioned? Hopefully when they get their phone and test on saturday they get better results.
I purchased mine from the US store this morning (I don't need 512gb storage or 18gb ram, and the other extras will never get used lol). The price point of the tencent versions are attractive for sure but I have heard nothing but issues around the WW converted models.
If it turns out that all versions (US, international, CN) have the same issues maybe I will return the US and save some dollars.
I'm just rambling here, good luck Rotary88

ah must have remembered wrong. i don't think they're the same bandwise, for instance from what i understand the international is the C variant and doesn't support band 71 or 66 but this is listed as supported on the USA e-store for the USA phone. in fact every band except the mmWave that both ATT and T-Mobile use is listed on the USA versions purchase page
i did simply my check tho and ignored the fact that the shop page doesn't list 2g/3g/5g bands explicitly and just checked for a matching number, but i imagine thats what they meant, considering the page was just created and for example maybe they found theres no need to list n41 and 41 essentially listing 41 twice.
i have no phone atm, which maybe you can tell since my posts lack any auto correct, so really hoping for the best
either way i have a USA version coming on saturday and ill let everyone know of the results
So I just swapped out my old sim for a new T-Mobile SIM and its the same result with the international and also tencent variant ASUS_I005DA. Even though version A supposedly supports all the right bands, No T-Mobile 5G and also crippled LTE. This seems like something to do with their network simply not recognizing the device or allowing it to use other bands. After doing some research it seems the device also has to be carrier supported in order to connect to their extended LTE and 5G bands.
From what I've read here on the forums, calling them is a waste of time. I guess all I can do is wait to see if even the US "variants" get 5G/LTE but I somehow am doubting it since they seem identical to the international variant. I'm stuck with a $1000 gimped phone until T-Mobile decides to support it on their network.

strange because according to asus the I005DA is not the A version but the G version. The version i believe is on the box not the model.

Did you contact ASUS ? do you have and official documentation / site where they say which version is tencent / Global / US ?
I had bought the tencent version - i005DA was mentioned prominently in the packaging.. and 'tencent games' was printed on the back of the phone.
Neither T-mobile nor AT&T worked reliably - actually I was barely ever getting a signal.
I returned that.one . .and got myself a global variant - asus_i005DC is mentioned in the packaging.
Now everything works fine - I have seen the 5G symbol, but not really great speeds, but that could be because of my area.

https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/47006/which-version-does-asus-rog-5-model-i005da-map-to i think this is where he found it, see last post (you can press the back button if it asks you to create acct or sign in and it wont ask again and will allow you to read)
this would imply the last letter in the model number is not necessarily the version the phone corresponds to, for every model even your asus_i005DC

That's exactly it.
At this point I'm waiting to see if the one they sell on Asus dot com is any better than the global version sold on aliexpress or if I should go all in on -300$ less

$300 less means a Tencent flashed to WW, or at least it did for mine. The idiot seller didn't realize the bands aren't controlled by the software, but PayPal called it "materially similar" and denied the refund. Oh well.
