seems like the launcher files from http://fytfactory.mariodantas.com/index.php (i think should be the aame as 4pda) is reported for malware when i do scanninh. May I know if it safe to use?
EDIT: I compared this and original one from original ru thread is the same so i assume it's a false alarm
another question:
As from youtube tutorial, only 1 launcher can put to the unit otherwise the panel keys wont work, is it true?
Thanks so much
Thanks

You must have big balls to write like this, why do you write that isn't safe ?, do you know that many AV reports some unknown binaries as virus ? (false positive) simply by the fact that they don't have a thrust report of that binaries ?, well let me explain something, the ZIP you download from my website containes linux binaries (Android) to flash the launcher, the may be reported by some AV
So on your knees and ask for mercy !

@jasonwong28 you're right, you did it normally, it's always a good idea to check downloaded stuff with virustotal, you did it and you ask people about safety, that's normal, but @Xuxaze affirm that it isn't safe maybe without any knowledge, you know what ?, ,I was developping an Android APP named FYT Launcher manager, to allow install / uninstall FYT launchers from Android Headunit directly without flash (root required or kernel embeeded app to be decided) but reading that comment from the newbie I ask myself, why I am wasting time for the community ?, le the code apart and gonna take good time instead of wasting it for people like the newbie !
Many nice launchers Can they be used on a Joying 11.6" uis7862 with a resolution of 1920x1080?
Thanks

I fully understand your anger and frustration. It happens to more of us that some user says something insulting, entirely wrong, plain stupid or whatever makes you furious. And it is understandable that you feel like this right now.
Please note that in general there are a lot of users that are really happy and pleased with what you do, and perhaps half of them do not even express their gratitude.
Please cool down a few days. If you still feel the same after a few days, then you should indeed stop with your contributions.
I have been there a few times as well, right or not (from my point of view), but then I balance the positive reactions against one negative reaction from "some user". Please let not one trolling user spoil your pleasure in what you do. It would be a sad way to say goodbye.

i was looking though the touch wiz sys dump and i liked the keyboard so i put it in an update format. Just flash it, i gurantee youll like it. If not just remove it. I included the lwp as well that were posted earlier the lwp from it too, they work great on the phone though, I need someone to test it for me, cus swype is a pain to remove w/o wiping, and i already have all this on my phone. you just need to flash it like a rom. It contains 4lwp and 1keyboard app and their libs...dl the new lwp and kb HERE
Any chance of just getting the KB?

Ill check to see whats up with swype, just figured id throw it out there for those that didnt see this stuff yet....also, did you remove your old swype completely? or did you not have it? cus its VERY hard to get rid of.....just wondering so i can fix if something wrong.

sorry about that, and thanks.ok, soon as i get home ill post a link to a really sweet htc skinned swype mod. i use the red one in my newest rom, but the green one is slick too. im going to hang out for a little bit, when i get back ill put it up, and just take it out of the other one and ill mess with it, since its a full version.....
Let me see if I can accurately decipher this thread:
You saw something you liked, but didn't test it because its too much work to uninstall what you already have but that's ok because you already have it installed so you need someone else to take a blind leap of faith and install something you "gurantee" they'll like but if they don't that's ok too because they can just uninstall it (which really they can't do easily) but if you want to see what it is in the first place tough luck because you're out and about and have no time to post a screenshot for your own quasi-release?
If I were Canadian, I'd add "Eh?" at the end of that.
I strongly recommend that if you want to be taken seriously, you put a little more thought into your release posts. I applaud you for taking the time to share with the community, but frivolous posting of root-level patches without some form of quality control on your part could lead to a dangerous precedent of buggy and/or malicious code being introduced in the same channels.
I know you probably have the communities best interest at heart, but holding yourself to a higher standard keeps the bar high for the rest of those issuing releases to demonstrate an aptitude for solid documentation so people know precisely what to expect from dedicated contributors.
Good Luck!

Regardless of the quality or lack thereof of your "releases", your posts are plagued with you getting into flame wars with people because you feel like you have to defend yourself against any form of critique you don't agree with.
But hey, if you have five people who think your work is on par with some of those that I have donated to, by all means cater to that denominator. I'll gladly keep my feedback to myself and save it for someone who can handle dialogue with a little more class.

Ok so ive been running this thru my head for days now. So this is me telling the world my idea and seeing if its worth a crap. I would like to have a tablet like rom for the g1. this sounds crazy but i found a app called lcd density changer and you can change the density to make the screen appear as if it is a high resolution one and things are smaller. Makes me feel like i have a large screen agian. i may be crazy but its just a idea, i am a noob probably a noob idea. but i would love to see this.
LCD Density Changer is in the market
And please if i am a idiot dont be to harsh just now getting into the whole android scene
I really dont understand what you mean. All the android versions running on current tablets are the excact same versions as they run on android phones. The screen is just larger.
Sent from my HTC Dream using XDA App
If your wanting to change android icons to be smaller, its not possible on the phones unless you get a widget that allows you to put 2 rows of icons on a regular single row. The reason why you cant just change icon size is because when programming apps the sdk automatically sets the amount of rows and colums for the screen device.

Meh, leave him alone
@jfeyrer
like @Since001 says, the tablets are running the same kind of andriod, just a different screen res
Something like ADW Launcher can give you more 'app slots' ( which is why post 4 is such a laugh )
but at the end of the day you will gain nothing by having more icons on the 'desktop'
you will have more problems interacting at the 'finer' res ,
here is a stupid analogy
it would be like trying to play a blueray through a 1st gen 15" tft
you could probably rig it so it works, but why? a divx would be much easier.
I do apoligize i am new to all this just thought it would be a cool idea.

Hi All
For a while I've being trying to learn the art of themming by example. Like Curious George, I try browsing the diverse works and learn from them. Unfortunately I've found some glitches that could be corrected with simple and quick actions.
Let's see one example extracted from a "XDA Recognized Themer" distribution package:
ZIP Size: 117 Mb
Unpacked: 144 Mb
"Thumbs.db": 132 files accounting for 77 Mb
53% of the distribution are useless junk files that are being flashed on users devices. This is wrong!
Click to collapse
We all know that themming is hard, laborious and a huge time consuming. Nevertheless is important that we do take care about what we are distributing. There are cases too where graphics that never existed on that app are being injected.
My shallow knowledge on android app's don't give me any authority to say but it I wonder if this injections are increasing the apps footprint on memory/caches slowing down the systems.
Addendum 1
The increase of app's size has been already corroborated with this experiment. At moment, lasts the question if this can be harmful indeed. For devices with limited memory space, wouldn't this compromise the system performance?

Addendum 2
As pat of the research, the following question was made and with the usual supportiveness, Master @JustArchi provided the final enlightenment to the matter
[KERNEL DEV ANALYSIS] Does 'Junked' APKs Affects Performance ?
JustArchi said:
APK is some kind of an archive, which contains precompiled source (classes.dex) and resources (resources.arsc and everything else).
Not-loaded parts of the archive (f.e. thumbs.db) are not affecting ram, neither performance because Android doesn't load them at all.
In the best scenario, apk may load a bit longer, but this "a bit" is less than 0.1 sec. This is ONLY due to uncompressing apk needed for loading classes and resources.
So yeah, mostly we're talking about storage space here.
Hope it helps .

Conclusion
As the matter were previously plainly unknown, just this shallow discussion has been suffice to enlighten the main points and create a piece of the knowledge base that future developers may consider useful.
We could determine that:
> "Thumbs.db" like files are been created by unnoticed themers using the Windows operating system and distributed inside their theme packages.
> Users are flashing these files without noticing their existence.
> Villain Flash System (vrtheme) is the most used tool by themers to distribute their works and, as expected, insert those files into the apk's regardless their previous existence. A fork project Universal Theme Flasher can the desired behaviour but ONLY if the UFT.config flag CLEAN_MORPHING is set to YES.
> As previously stated, what regard devices performance there is no perceivable compromise.
> Until the quality of the releases improves, the problem is restrict to storage and distribution sizes.

I've already seen these files within several themes here on the forum ... I thought it was OK.
Will try to pay more attention on what I'm flashing on mu device.
Tks for the notice.
Just my two cents here....now a days a Theme is almost never for a single device. what is redundant to you is actually themable and frequently used in another phone, say the GN3.
Now, when a themer makes a theme, he won't work separately on SGS4 and the GN3, or the Xperia Z and the ZL,ZR etc. He will release a composite theme for all.
Heres my solution since you have taken so much pain to actually unzip and look into the themables, use some photo editing software (like paint.net, if you want a lightweight alternative) to chalk out the unneeded themed pngs and chuck them out (or delete them altogether) and then clear off the vr-theme data from your internal memory.
this is just my opinion.
and oh, another thing! the themers here are no "VENDORS".The themers devote time for "free" and mostly as a hobby. so, in case something is not liked, taking the theme and modifying to the liking is the optimal solution.
just my two cents, have been around xda for quite sometime and felt like something to be said here.
sorry if I bothered someone, didn't mean to.
regards,
Achyut.
Hi achyut
Tks a lot for your words. As a xda rule of thumb, this is and always will be an open discussion and every different opinion is important.

This is not the central point but I'm really skeptical on submitting to my users things that will never be used. Just to illustrate, it's like you bought a brand new S4 and the seller gives you a wonderful S3 cover. What's for? That is junk for you and you will get rid of it as soon as possible. That's just my point and, as I've said, theming is difficult.

Third time but this is on me. I didn't quite made myself clear to you.
What I've meant about "Customers" is the approach you have with your users. The work I do here on xda is completely altruist as I do have the support from my outside paid Customers. Nevertheless, I do interact with my xda users as they were real Customers because as a 50 years old IT engineer, I can't deal with them differently (don't know how to). This is my point of view but isn't the main subject here.
If you could express yourself about the "Thumbs.db" files problem, I would be very thankful.
Nice regards.
.
@op (kdio):
I'll reply to you here instead of by pm (sorry I have no time for myself these days...)
The thumbs.db problem you've seen -where more than half the packaged theme data consists of those Microsoft thumbnails database files- is just plain unbelievable to me. How can someone -who is surely an experienced themer in making a 100MB+ theme- not realize this issue? I wonder.
Anyhow, I do agree to a certain extent with achyut in the sense we should not complain too much about stuff that is given to us for free. I'm not accusing you to do so, but posting this post at three different places on xda and addressing the issue in a general/public way might not be the best way to tackle the issue.
Btw, I remember while being at my very firsts steps in theming, I did post something very similar on a popular xda theme engine guide thread (I might have deleted it since though - will look for link later..) : suggesting the author to add a note on the OP about those files and how to remove them. Well, no one on that thread cared to reply/comment on it - like if it was a non-issue... So I gave up thinking that it only bothered me....
Themes are usually not open-source and are just shared "as is". They are also much easier to "inspect" than apks and having a look at/into whatever we install on our phones is surely a good practice and also always highly advisable... And so is accepting users' critics and bug reports positively for the themers/developers.
So that was going to be my suggestion to you anyway: whenever something like this is noted, it would be better to first try to see with the themer if this can be corrected. If that turns out to be unsuccessful or ignored, one could then try to ask a forum moderator and ask his/her view on it. Maybe, he/she can then add a special note/warning on the theme's OP or take any other action they might deem appropriate in the circumstances.
Again, I do not want to go against what you've done here; I understand that you have good intentions. But I think that there's no need to tackle this fight globally and singlehandedly; better go on a case by case basis.
The good news is that I believe that thumbs.db files will 'eventually' not be an issue with themes. I'd have to triple check this, but I believe that since I've switched to Windows 8, I no longer have to delete those files before compiling my personal theme and I haven't seen any such files within my signed apk either...
Anyhow, long answer for not much valuable input from me in the end, but that's how I see it anyway...
Good luck, happy new year and keep on theming!!
Cheers,
/AL
[to all: please do not full-quote my long posts - ty]
Hi @[] AL []
Thank you very much for yours valuable words. From my view it's a milestone reached.
Before posting here, For a long time I'm trying to elucidate this issue. My first action was on 30th July when I've posted this question regarding exactly the same issue. No answers (0). I've tried too PM's to the dev's and even posting in the respective threads. I've just got these effectless responses (same as you've did):
I mean no harm.

I don't see them.

Next step, as you've suggested, I've PM'ed 2 Recognized users (one was you) about the issue and this thread was only opened after I've been suggested to. Placed those 3 because S3 and S4 forums are where I have my relationships and it would be nice to the 'buddies'. Android Theme is the main. Nevertheless, there are only few cross-forum-readers in here so...
Please, be welcome to, if considered inappropriate, delete these threads. I, by myself, know what is happening and would never flash something like this on my devices. My main concern is with the ones with shallow knowledge that will continue blind to the matter. As we both had already experienced, no one is given a damn to it.
Just forgive an old man that after 28 years as a software developers struggling hard to create quality code, thought that the professionalism should had already permeated all the IT world. I was wrong.
Even if this thread goes off, please keep my sincerely thanks.
Nice regards.

OFF TOPIC
Just wanna place 2 question here to all IT workers ... no need for answers as this should be considered OT
- Call Can we really be foolish as this with IT resources ?
- Can't we learn a bit from the mess we did with the real life ?
Nice regards.

@Kdio:
Well, I didn't know that you did try to ask the themers and that they did nothing about it. Saying that they don't see them tells me that they must know ****e about many things... Might be worth to try again by explaining them how to show Windows hidden and system protected files this time....
I'm curious to see such a theme; any link you could give me?
Regarding the 3 identical posts, I do not care much about that; I've just mentioned it because this is part of xda guidelines and so is the one suggesting to not take matters in our own hands. Although, that last one is more intended for times when there are disagreements/arguments between users.
What I suggested you to contact a thread moderator, not recognised users. Recognized themers and contributors have no special authority or powers here; they're just regular users that have been nominated by their fellow members as 'special' participants. There is nothing more that they can do other than preaching by example...
To contact a mod, the easiest way is to view the incriminating thread on a desktop browser and hit the top right button "report" while on the OP. You can then explain what the issue is and see what the moderator will choose to do about it.
I checked again earlier while updating my theme, and again on Win8, I do not see any such files. Does that explain the answers you got from the themer? I don't know but that's one more reason why I'm curious to download such a theme to find out. But if the files are in there, I'd guess that they did use WinXP or something prior to Win8 anyway as those ought to be created before the theme is compiled....
I'm kind of worry though about the very few (and the kind of) responses you got; what would it be if it was malware included? People would also keep a blind eye? Scarry!! But I have to say that lately I did see a xda moderator closing down a custom rom thread until further revew over concerns of included spyware/adware... So my suggestion still holds and it shows they (mods) do care about (and can act upon) such issue...
Nevertheless, it's nice to see that some people worry about such issues (so thanks for that) and I hope that your journey will bring positive results... even if it has to be one themer at a time...

I'm frighten dude. The 3 thread together sum 876 views and we've got only these replies here !!! The only themer that, al least, thanked the OP was @HS™ !!! (not even you !!! )
But I'm confident that, as the matter had never been openly addressed here on xda, at least now it has. Not for my profile but sure it will be good for the community.
And one more thought: One would never accept useless parts inside his device. This same one would never accept an app with junk code inside. Why themes should be different?
For a long time I've been seeing here on xda the incubation of great developers. So I ask myself how these theme designers are being prepared to the professional world. Will they, in their future works, act like that or this disregard for a minimum quality control is just the result of the gratuity?
Nice regards.

Hi pas2001
Your words are very appreciated and makes me believe that there will be some light at the end of the tunnel.

There is a point that needs to be made here, while I agree that everyone wants to and should be flashing clean error free files, whether its PNG.9s or XMLS.........
BUT regarding "junk files" or files that are not needed, it doesn't really matter to much if your using VRTheme (which most of us do), this method will only flash files that match stock system files, you could have 100 useless PNGS for example but unless they match the stock ones they will simply be overlooked by the script and wont flash, this method causes way less errors and makes it almost universal too (excluding xmls of course).
A themer should really tidy his files up (no excuse for 100 files dragged over from another device theme for example) but the only real downside, apart from been untidy would be the actual size of the file and the extra unnecessary time it takes to download.
Just a side note, Im going to move this to general soon as only actual themes or apps are allowed in this sub forum.
Very nice topic thread though :good:

I would like to suggest the below experiment:
1) Download View attachment Thumbs.Experiment.zip. It contains one lonely "Thumbs.db" file with 1 byte long inside SystemUI.apk\drawable\drawable-xxhdpi
2) Flash the file
3) After reboot, take a look at that folder inside SystemUI.apk.
Can you confirm the above behaviour ?
Looking at my devices result, unfortunately seems that vrTheme should but is not that smart.
Anything given to vrtheme will be injected regardless previous existence. As so, all those 'junk' (mostly Thumbs.db) files are indeed been flashed to users devices.
As I've said before, after working 28 years as a software developer, I'm unable to call this different than a severe error.
EDIT: (sorry ... this came to mind lately)
If your argumentation was valid, we will be unable to implement 1% battery awareness as vrtheme would not be capable of flashing the complimentary icons (1, 2, 3...) as they were not previously inside SystemUI. So, vrtheme is right and does what it's meant to.
EDIT 2: With the amazing help of @xxmrgreenxx starting here, he pointed out that Universal Theme Flasher can have the behaviour you've mentioned but ONLY if the UFT.config flag CLEAN_MORPHING is set to YES.

It doesn't warrant a sticky at the moment, I will of course review this in due course.
Thank you
Hello, everyone and the moderators!
I just joined.
I had happily used Android in Datawind Tablet for 6 months, two years back, when it developed a snag. I received a replacement. It had third-party apk download site of Datawind, not the Google's Playstore. I was displeased by this limiting option. So I returned back the device and got back my full payment.
I informed Google about this but Google said that since Android development is under Apache license, not GNU license, people could do as they pleased.
A few months back I was interested by the Whatsapp app. It can't run on Android-x86 on PCs. So I planned to buy a cheap smartphone to test it. I bought a Karbonn Titanium 3Dplex Lite.
Everything alright upto this! I was happily using Whatsapp, when my notice was brought upon a third party app called Tap-n-Buy. I could not uninstall it.
I have been an exclusive Debian Linux user for the last nine years. So I thought I could su and remove it.
But I found that not only su is not possible ordinarily in Android, but in the android-porting forums it appears to be a taboo word.
Very well! I researched and found the site techaddictted.wordpress.com/2016/06/01/9-apk-to-root-android-phones-without-pccomputer
I downloaded a few rooting apk files from their parent sites.
In the meanwhile I was helped by Androidcentral, link, androidcentral.com/root and digitaltrends.com/mobile/how-to-root-android, in the preliminary research. I was also helped by the android-x86 forum.
I continued to post a few queries in "android-x86 and ancroid-porting" but am not receiving any replies:
Topics:
(1) Customise Pre-installed Android in personal Smartphones?
(2) How to copy the entire Android OS installed on smartphone to PC running Linux?
(3) Why Rooting Android on Smartphones is a taboo subject?
(4) How to install Android ISO on Smartphone from Linux Systems?
The process being: downloading the installed OS from my Smartphone to my lap-/desk- top, su and remove problematic apps, and put it back on the smartphone.
But needless to say, one of my posts has been refused. The rest have yet not been approved for general viewing.
With my threads to android-porting I came to have an intuition about some issues:
(1) It appears that Android rooting is a taboo subject in Android google usergroups.
(2) There is no direct super user level in android to be root'ed but only 3rd party apps.
I downloaded some of the apk files from the links provided by techaddictted.wordpress.com/2016/06/01/9-apk-to-root-android-phones-without-pccomputer . I checked those apk files using online virus malware scanner and found all of them problematic.
I continued to search, and from MakeUseOf - Technology, Simplified, (i.e., makeuseof.com) I was led here.
Now my interest is very detailed:
Ultimately, I wish to download the Entire Installation on the Smartphone of the custom Android by my mobile developer, tweak the files, remove a couple of problematic apps and then reinstall the tweaked files back to the smartphone again.
I know that in Linux I could remove root password using booting from a different liveCD, use some tricks like chroot and then remove and log on as root with a new password.
As a Linux aware person I can understand that may be Android is trying to suppress information about rooting a device to keep the proprietary apps running. They have their limitations.
But on the contrary, Google Android itself warns me of the third party software, which is indicates as malicious. Here is the link: drive.google.com/open?id=10N1HtycG87_5LW59-1GGKI32b1ucN0bC
It was these Tap-n-Buy warnings that actually aroused my interest in rooting my device, to be a superuser and remove this software. Otherwise, this app doesn't appear to be removable.
Could I be helped?
We will take one baby step at a time. First know whether it is at all possible to be a superuser without a third-party Superuser app.
And continue from there to the next baby step.
Root on Android is a security exploit. It is not taboo here.
It might be that your device can't be rooted (not all can be) mainly if it's a no name cheap devices.
Yes you need third party apps as root on Android requires a kernel change.
As for pulling the OS off a device. You are out of luck on that. As the OS is packaged differently when it is zipped and then it is decompressed when flashed.
Your best bet would be to see if your bootloader can be unlocked. If it can then you will need to find the kernel source and build aosp for the device.
Thank you for responding to my queries
Thank you Sir, for responding to my post and replying to my queries. I have to admit that I did not expect a reply so soon.

Oh no. Karbon is not what you think. They like Micromax use rebranded devices from China. Normally cool pads by Chinese name. (I have helped with many India based users with different oems) even helping getting kernel source release for the M1.
Root files will always trip anti virus programs. It's because in a way it is a virus. Root apps use security exploits to get root. Nothing to worry about as long as you are smart about it. Heck you can ask any developer here "what anti virus program they use" and the majority will say none. They are faker then a Chinese knock off. They have even been found to fake false reports on files for their competitors.
If your device has an unlocked bootloader then you can flash magisk which is the best root app.
If you come across an app that doesn't need to be flashed and is just an apk. Run the other way. Those use majority security exploits to get it done but most of them get patched in the monthly updates. So it doesn't always stay. They also tend to add malware to the device.
As for a step by step guide. I can only do what you can. That is to search xda to get the info I need.
I'll do what I can and see what I can find. No promises. Do some research yourself as well. It will help you learn the ins and outs and get you to know the lingo.
Mind you. You will still need an app to control root. Which is encludes with the magisk zip
I will try with your information
Thank you, Sir, for the additional information for my further research and experimentations.
I will try to find flash magisk zip and then use it.
BTW, I would seek this opportunity to request you to advise me about the best Smartphone that has everything accessible, from open bootloader to root permissions for my further experimentations.

Yes, I have just been researching on this very issue. But it appears to involve installing Android SDK, as per howtogeek dot com/239798/how-to-unlock-your-android-phones-bootloader-the-official-way

All you really nead from the sdk is the adb files, so you can push commands to your device. There are a few basic adb packages. Here is a good tool. This will work for now to do what you want. If you ever decide to build roms for your devices from source then you will have to have the whole SDK.
While there are many sites one the internet XDA is the only one you will ever need for modding your device. Any question you may have as been asked at least a hundred times in these forums. Use the XDA search or the XDA search plug in for your browser to hel find the info you need.
Many devices have unlockable bootloaders. One Plus has the currant Dev support right now as they are good with 3rd party developers for the most part. Depending on the device unlocking the bootloader has back draws (sony with DRM keys and such) lessened security (no matter what any one tells you). Just see which devices XDA portal team is talking about. They are normally good dev devices. Like I think Honor is working with XDA to be as open as possible.
Thanks for replying again so soon!

I indeed did both full and advanced search in this very site for my OP thread title.
Needless to say, I didn't find any. I couldn't. I always ask incisive questions, otherwise, I don't.
Once in flow, I asked you about unlocking the bootloader. As I asked, I began my search as well
So Honor and One Plus? Could you please inform about the specific models? I will then talk to Amazon India for one of the two, and also about a completely open Smartphone, without locked bootloader, locked root, locked third-party app (I will do them myself, if required) with Android pre-installed, for experimentation.
Thanks a lot!
I will take some time to be familiar with xda, but I will eventually, if the quality that you vouch for is really there.
I admire all good things and am ready to pay more than money for them.

Yeah the site search can be a bit bad. Due to the size of it. You will get used to what key words you will need to use. The site has been here for almost 20 years now leading the way in mobile hacking and development. So there is a lot of info. But a lot of it is pre-android as well so don't be deterred.
I had a look at the devices available from Amazon India. Look in out forums at the device threads and compare them. The 5t is the only one I can say for 100% that it will do what you want.
Ah, great!

I am so sorry that I was editing the post #9 while you replied.
Okay, One Plus 5T? Shall enquire with Amazon.
[later addition] Yes, checked. But I won't buy it. It has a (redundant for me) very powerful camera and a very powerful HD screen, which I won't require.
The device is expensive chiefly because the powerful camera and the HD screen which I don't need. I simply want to experiment.
So I will go with the best of the original Chinese Brands that flood our markets.buy any one of the smartphones, as advised, 2nd hand. Not the India-nised Chinese Brands re-packaged by Karbonn or Micromax — a priceless information you brought to my notice. I will enquire with our local mobile repairers and software updaters.
I had already written to Amazon in the meanwhile. Though the CS team has replied, they are not very competent. I am presently waiting for the Executive Customer Relations Team to respond.
I will gradually become familiar with this site, for sure, and learn to search optimally.

Look I was unoptimistic as well, but this has been fixed before with this exact same method on another device I owned myself, so it can be fixed.
The thing is Xiaomi hasn't ever provided feedback on this issue, that's why everyone, me included, thought this wouldn't get fixed.
Now that we have video evidence I'm confident this will be resolved as well.

LOL MAN.
What the hell does ping have to do with screen input latency?
The measuring is done with the android developer option: "Show pointer location." not with PUBG.
Ping has nothing to do with that.
If you had some basic technology knowledge you would know these are different things and wouldn't have posted what you posted.

No answers from Xiaomi and they remove info about bug in official post, I can't show u link to post on forum because I'm new at this forum.
So my Hope is down.

I hear you.
Well since a dev managed to find a fix I'd think this would be included in the next beta or two, and most likely in the next stable as well.
(if no side effects are found that is)
I understand your frustration, but don't tell me about it, since this annoyed me so much that I refunded my phone just for this, and use a redmi note 3, my backup phone, for the time being.

LOL MAN.
What the hell does ping have to do with screen input latency?
The measuring is done with the android developer option: "Show pointer location." not with PUBG.
Ping has nothing to do with that.
If you had some basic technology knowledge you would know these are different things and wouldn't have posted what you posted.

It seems your inteligence reaches the level of a pineapple.
Not gonna bother explaining what kind of lag is the one you refering vs the real issue this device has.
You either understand or not.
Also google is your friend, use it.
And yes of course I saw the video, if it wasn't clear to me this was a real fic I wouldn't have made the thread, I have enough experience with electronics to understand, that's what I studied and got a degree in as well.

Enjoy.
Ugh, I'm sick of them talking and throwing empty promises at us, just implement the fix and be done with it already... Anyway, the guy who received the fix said it didn't work with the latest Pie beta so they will have to rework it for new updates if they really plan on releasing it at all.
