Better tiles mod allows you to break out the internet tile in quick tiles to have both wifi and mobile data toggles. Has anyone tried this mod on P7 or P7P?
Works fine on my device so far.
My P7P hasn't arrived yet, but on my current Pixel 3XL, this adb command will give you back the seperate Wifi and Mobile data tilles:
Code:
adb -d shell settings put secure sysui_qs_tiles "$(settings get secure sysui_qs_tiles),wifi,cell"
I just keep it in a shell script with a bunch of other commands and run it on-device with shizuku/rish permissions.
Has anyone tried this with P7P?
Yes, I have it working fine on P7P. Rooted.

I have better tiles working on my P7P. Rooted
I've been using the Better Internet Tiles app on the Pixel 7 Pro, and the 6 Pro before that.

Agreed. found that, using now.
I rather not have an extra app to enable a single feature and hence use this module instead:

The app provides other features as well, it is available via the Play Store (for those of us who consider that a plus) - so it's automatically updated, and you can optionally set the app-supplied Wi-Fi/mobile data/Internet/NFC tiles (all enabled or disabled individually) to require the phone to be unlocked in order to toggle them, which is a plus because if my phone is stolen (although I doubt that'll ever happen), I don't want them to be able to toggle those.
The Play Store entry even has an optional Beta program available if wanted.
I also have the Classic Power Menu Lsposed-mod/app set to not allow power off or reboot from the lock screen.
Of course, they can still long-press the power button (for a really long time now) to force it off, but the fewer choices they potentially have, the better.

Better Tiles is what I have and confirm working. I added the WiFi tile and Mobile Data tile. Did not try the other 2.

Hello
I waited a lot of time for Google to release the support of a API to allow changing the 2G/3G with one click
As many others I would like to have the ability to do it without need to go to the settings.
Since Google didn't do it, I decided to do it by myself.
For that I modified the Phone and Setting applications that are delivered in the Cyanogen 6 version.
I made a new Power Control widget that now has the following:
Additional buttons:
- 2G/3G toggling (one click. With 3G only or 3G preferred)
- Ring mode toggling (Different possibilities)
- Screen timeout (15s/1min/5 min or 30s/2m/5Min)
- Toggle orientation sensor(enabled/disabled)
- Brightness levels (added different possible levels)
- Airplane mode enable/disable
- Lock Screen enable/disable
- Flashlight (screen mode works on Magic. on N1 it doesn't work=Don't use it)
Options:
- Can now be set with vertical layout
- you can choose different buttons on the widget
- possibility for a transparent widget
- possibility to avoid the widget "round corners"
- Option to change to 2G automatically when Mobile data is disabled
- Option to change to 3G automatically when Mobile data is enabled back
- Option to disable sync automatically when WIFI is disabled (avoids sync on mobile data)
- Option to enable sync automatically when WIFI is enabled back
- Option to choose if Ring mode is ON with vibrate or with sound
- Option to monitor the Data roaming (set the icon to red if enabled)
Other changes:
Changes done to GPS or Mobile Data in normal Settings page are now automatically synchronized in the widget.
Limitations:
- Setting page still very ugly
- Like the original one, limited to a single 4x1 widget.
- Button order is fixed
Before I contribute with my code to Cyanogen, I would like to see the feedback of other persons to confirm if this change is interesting or not.
If not, I would keep it just to myself.
It was only tested in my own HTC Magic. So I cannot guarantee that it will work 100%. If you want it, then use it at your own risk
Unfortunately it require changes of main Phone applications so I don't think it is possible to do it for all the Phones.
For now it will only work with CM6
I hope this is also interesting for several other people.
How to download:
update.zip file:
http://share1t.com/lg7prf
Screenshots:
My personal update procedure (flashmode):
Step 1:
Copy the update.zip (power_control_v2.01.zip) to the SD Card
Shutdown phone and boot it in recovery mode (On HTC Magic, press HOME + POWER to boot)
Step 2: (optional but recommended)
move the directory of your computer to were to store the backup files
Wait for the Recovery console
Connect the usb cable
adb.exe shell mount /system
Make a backup of the original files:
adb.exe pull /system/app/Settings.apk Settings_original.apk
adb.exe pull /system/app/Phone.apk Phone_original.apk
Step 3:
Select the Flash option on the recovery, and select to choose the file name
Select the power_control_v2.01.zip
Confirm and wait for it to finish.
Reboot the phone.
Step 4:
Add the new Power Control widget
Thank you verry much !
Is this the app from BK Mobility? Of so, this would be considered a WAREZ and you will get banned for it, because it is an paid app.

Well I'm not experienced in that.
Maybe the volume is already mounted?
If you really have boot the phone in Recovery mode (not the normal mode)
then check the following after the shell part:
ls /system/app
if you see a lot of files ending in *.apk, then the system is mounted.
You can see if you can execute the remaining operations (starting with the adb pull)
If not, then I don't know how you can push it. maybe in a next CM6 build it will be available.
You read my mind and made it work. Ive been looking for a widget that would do this properly. All other programs could disable apn but then it would mysteriously start up again on its own.
So far so good.
Thanks
Edit: my phone had a force close and when it rebooted, it had automatically reverted back to the normal power widget, with no sign of your version???
If we can have a toggle for the rest of the items it would be perfect.
Specifically hiding bluetooth, GPS and autosync since I never touch those.

That is strange for me.
I can only see it happening if the original settings apk get installed on the system. I don't think there is any "recovery" rom for that.
What could happen is for it to loose the configured settings and revert to the default one.
There you will have two differences:
1- In my case, the disable mobile data is after the GPS icon. in the original one it after the wifi I think.
2- 2G/3G data is automatically changed when you enable/disable the mobile data.
Perfect
Good work !
Works fine on Vodafone Magic 32b with Chromatic Rom (4.2)
Thanks !
Can you add Airplane Mode toggle, please?
Wow cool
Gonna try it asasp, been looking for this aswell!
Is it workable if I change the phone.apk and settings.apk into yours and resign the ROM?
Cuz my Magic seems fail to mount...
Anyway Good Jobsince I hate the original CM's Power Control Widget much(the number of buttons are fixed to 7,quite hard for me to press the right one...)
So I have successfully upgraded OTA to 6.0.1 and rooted.
I'd like a relatively easy way to turn hot spot on and off without having to go through at least three clicks (and that's if I put the Settings icon on the home screen; otherwise it's four).
The old tried-and-true method of editing the Settings DB with SQLite no longer works. I thought I'd just give the new System UI Tuner a try, but it would appear that Sprint/Samsung have locked this out. The two known methods to enable it (long press on the gear icon after pulling down the window shade, or going to Developer Options under settings) are not available on the Sprint S5. I can see the System UI Tuner package intact on the phone, but there's no way, as far as I can tell, to launch it.
For that matter, Sprint seems to have removed all the Settings widgets except "Flashlight," so you can't even put a setting widget on the home screen to get you close.
If anyone has figured out how to get into the UI Tuner, or restore the locked Settings widgets, please let me know.
Before anyone suggests it, yes, I am aware that there is a root app to enable/disable the hot spot on the market, and I have the APK for it. I removed it because it runs continuously, even when not using the hot spot, generating "granted root access" popups at inopportune times. Besides, I'd kinda like to see what else is in the UI Tuner to tweak.
Thanks.

Reflash stock ob3 boot.img then take the update. Once on 8.1 extract the new boot image and use it to root! Don't be lazy, you can do it!!! ALL NIGHT LOOONG!! LOL JK

How do I extract a boot image? Or have already extracted one? Jumped the gun with TWRP without decrypting, now I can't boot.
Hmm, yeah, I'm installing 8.1 right now, but am not sure how to get boot.img to reinstall Magisk.

Things I've noticed:
Picture color mode in Dev Options still won't stick (sRGB)
Still can't change the bluetooth settings in Dev Settings - nothing after Bluetooth Audio AVRCP sticks
They changed the aptX Audio Codecs to read Qualcomm aptX audio & Qualcomm aptX HD Audio - they still won't stick
Sample Rate - still won't stick
Bits Per Sample - still won't stick
LDAC Codec: Playback Quality - won't stick
Finishing up a full charge so I can gauge battery life. Was getting great battery with 8.0 beta 3 so we'll see how we do here.

I believe it is. The whole phone feels a bit more snappy and responsive. Imprint scanner unlocks it almost instantly, the notification shade pulls down instantly. I went to a few webpages I knew were really long and the scrolling was better. Not perfect, but better. I would say it handled the same way my Nexus 5X and Pixel did on that page.

Any way to hide the navigation keys in 8.1 beta to get some more screen real estate? The app "Navigation Bar Editor" app worked for me in 8.0 v3 beta. Tried it on 8.1 beta with no luck.
Here is the Oreo 8.1 beta boot.img file needed to flash Magisk, etc. I can confirm that it works, I have Magisk flashed. One word of warning, you have to have NO SCREEN LOCK whatsoever to use twrp when you're on 8.1. So disable it prior to installing Magisk. You can re-enable it afterwards.

Works perfectly well on my Note 9 with pie/One ui so I don't see any reason not to.
I'm planning to get S10+ and after installing Nova, Fluid gesture is the second thing I do!
I received my phone yesterday (US - Snapdragon) and I can report that FNG works perfectly fine.
Nice find, If the ADs in this are not a pain in the ass I will swap from using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xda.nobar&rdid=com.xda.nobar
this one uses less permissions.
Anyone noticed a bug that the fingerprint button is too low when using FNG. I only realised today to press above the sesnor to login in apps

Yep, it has some bugs. The FP icon is lower than it should be because the phone should shows up navbar but fluid tries to hide it.

Im getting this too. It kinda sux but it's not a deal breaker... for now.
In Fluid Navigation gestures unhide nav bar the icon issue gets resolved.

Ok I found another way that's much smoother. First in Samsung settings disable gesture navigation, so the navigation bar is visible.
Then you need to hide the navigation bar from Fluid Navigation gestures.
I found if you have both enabled they keep fighting each other.

If you use that way, the fingerprint sensor location show up not correctly, it needs to be a little bit higher because you hide the navigation bar by adb command.
I found the best way to use any navigation bar gesture without samsung and other apps fighting each other but you will need 'setting database edit' app. I am still testing it since yesterday night and it is running flawlessly so far.
Please do tell I see the way I did it, it comes up hit or miss on the correct location. I have gotten used to it. I'm still getting used to this phone, the oneplus 6 was just a lot more intuitive. This phone i have been fiddling for 3 days. I kind of like how it is now
Why don't u use One Hand Operation+ from Samsung? It works better. I prefer the default Samsung gestures though. I guess big hands make it easier to use.

Got my S10+ today. Got Fluid Navigation Gestures working fine so far but after i locked the phone and i am back in there is than no gestures and no navbar so i am kinda stuck.
Anybody else got that problem? If so you got any solution to fix it?
So I have it running but the fingerprint has moved down to the bottom of the screen any idea on a fix or have I stuffed something up?

Hi, i found that feature, but after restart phone that reset and you will must do it again.
1. download SetEdit app from Google Play
2. in fluid app let hide bar setting disabled (don't hide navbar by this app) and enable gesture control by fluid.
3. Set the gesture control in the system settings (original by samsung)
4. Run SetEdit app and in Global Table find
navigation_bar_gesture_disabled_by_policy set value to 1
navigation_bar_gesture_while_hidden set value to 1
You may be prompted to grant authorization SetEdit app through ADB.
That's work perfectly for me, but maybe don't for you, be careful.
I apologize for not linking the apps, but I can't. I'm a new user and I don't have enough posts

That's a great solution and works great! You're an absolute life saver!! The only issue is that the 'navigation_bar_gesture_disabled_by_policy' value keeps reverting back to 0 every so often which makes it quite annoying to keep on.
Is there a fix for this? That would be great!

This outta do it. This app works for ROOTED AND NON ROOTED devices. I really wish Oneplus would carry some of these features on to their new phones. I don't think that will ever happen. The best I could do on my Oneplus 7 Pro was to download the "joneplus Tools [ADB/ROOT]." This app (download from play store or link below) allows you to set a pocket mode quick settings tile which is pretty handy if you don't want it on all the time and can quickly toggle it. Its got a bunch of other cool features that you don't need a root for either . Such as call recording. Without root you can turn on call recording in the native stock dialer for all your calls if you wish. That last part does require the Tasker app for the call recording which is a single $3.49 purchase. Totally worth it in my opinion since it offers tons of features for people who dont want to root. So Just download this app from the play store or apkmirror.
I would add the links but I'm a newbie and they won't let me yet. It really is worth it.
After you have downloaded jOneplus Tools [ADB/ROOT} connect phone to computer to add your ADB permission as I said you don't need to be rooted., but inorder to be able to open the app you just have to run one adb command which is in the instructions of the app. This app is really handy, it features:
-Enable Call Recording in stock app (always on)
-Allows you to edit your quick tile settings count.
-Change Animation Settings
-Turn on/off Navigation Buttons
-Enable always on OTG
-Enable Android P Navigation Gestures
-Switches to monochrome mode from application or QS tile
