Yes, I would say that it would expose the device to moisture from the environment due to condensation along with dust, dirt, lint from your pockets and oils from your skin. This would lead to corrosion and inevitably compromise the lithium battery, potentially resulting in exploding and/or bursting into flame with no warning whatsoever.

I've been trying to figure out the best way to use double sided adhesive tape that is being used in many phones today.
What is the best way to pill it after you adhere one side. it always seems impossible and always leaves some tape to glue on one another. This happens to me with cheap tape and even with 3M tape.
any suggestions?

Unfortunately I could not find a repair video....looks like you need to do some more Googling. With a no name device it is a lot harder getting this help.
I would assume that it would be like replacing the digitizer on my EVO.
I resolved
I bought an outer lens and was able to exchange a9220 phone screen . Can change smoothly .

I'm going to see about doing the GPS fix with some cardstock, but am wondering whether removing the back cover will void the warranty? I'm guessing not, but just checking.
Technically messing with the GPS antenna connections would void it, but that's pretty much impossible for them to tell, unless you RMA it with the mod still in place.
Regardless, my GPS sucks ass right now and I'm trying to see if this mod will fix it.
Nevermind. Just did it, it doesn't void warranty, and I lodged card stock below the GPS antenna connections. It appears that it's fixed my issues! But only a drive home for lunch will truly tell.

1. There's no indicator tape that I can see. Just some standard white/off-white colored glue on the very bottom.
2. How on Earth could they check? It wouldn't make sense to put any indicator tape on the back cover, because in order to check that, they'd have to remove the back cover in the first place. So, let's say there was tape there that indicated tampering. Only way to tell would be to tamper with the tape in the first place (by removing the cover). So if you had tampered with it, they wouldn't know, because they'd have ripped/tampered with it in order to check anyways.
I think it's much more likely that there's water damage tape or some other tape in ANOTHER location, but not on the back cover. Because I sure didn't see any, and my 2nd point I think is a dead giveaway.
Hi there,
my Z3 has a fine, long crack on the backside. It is hardly visible, but it is a crack.
Now I ask myself, if the phone is still water-resistant...
Thx

So the first Teardown Video is there...
Durablity test + destruction of backside to show wireless charging
And jerrys Teardown
I will ad more Videos to the list if/when there are new videos. If you know more please share them here.
I'm pretty sure the gap simply is a side effect of the used adhesive. Apparently it is some sort of rubber adhesice instead of liquid glue, which is why the screen can't fit in fully flush into the chassis. However, the teardown proves that water resistance is not affected by the gap. Fortunately, it's simply a cosmetic issue.
Edit: corrected missing "not"

There is some missing "not" in your statement. Either "water resistance is /not/ affected" or "it's /not/ simply a cosmetic issue". What did you intend to say? ?

You are right, of course I meant water resistance is NOT affected. :victory:
Here is the durablity test from Jerry where you can see how Google made Wireless charging with aluminium case. As soon as the new forum is working fine and i am able to edit the OP i will add this Video there.
Added jerrys Teardown
