I just currently got the latest ota and let it install and I installed magisk from the manager by choosing to install to inactive partition after ota. That worked flawlessly and was able to keep root. But I lost TWRP of course. I was using the official TWRP. I've been noticing everyone going to TWRP bluespark recovery. But which one do I download??? From what I understand there is a version for oos android 8 Oreo and a version for oos android 9 pie. I'm on official oos pie. So which one do I need?

Thank you. But still would like to know if I decide to use bluespark version.
Sure. If you want to use Blu Spark TWRP use this one twrp-3.2.3-x_blu_spark_v9.86_op6
IMG and zip files are here https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=27466#downloads
You can use TWRP official or Blu Spark TWRP. What ever you like. Blu Spark is recommended for people coming from oos beta to stable

May I ask what the difference is?
Just to add a note to you for next ota.
After ota is installed go to magisk manager
Press download
Search for twrp a/b
Install (don't reboot)
Now go to main screen and press install
Choose to inactive slot (after ota)
This way you keep both twrp and root
Happy flashing

Hi,
how to know if a version of twrp is good for my device,
i mean i read some post about the different versions of twrp and sometime bootloop happen with 3.4.2b sometime with 3.4.1 or chinese LWR.
I want to install magisk over stock 12.0.4 Global but am a bit afraid with all the versions of TWRP and bootloop problem for my Poco F2 Pro 8/256 with stock 12.0.4 QJKMIXM...
Subsidiary question: When can we expect to have an official version of twrp?
Thanks by advance.
Well, pick anyone, I'm personally using LRTeam TWRP.
Just backup your data and if you'r stuck in a bootloop you can try flash another or reflash your stock ROM with miflash.

Good day everyone, I just need a quick help regarding the process on how can I flash EliteRom.
I'm currently using the xiaomi.eu_multi_POCOX3NFC_V12.5.4.0.RJGMIXM_v12-11.zip from the official Xiaomi.eu website. Now I want to switch to [ROM][MIUI 22.1.13] EliteRom MIUI 13 A11 for POCO X3 (surya+karna)
Current Rom: xiaomi.eu latest
Recovery: TWRP
Please tell me if my process is right or if I miss anything.
1. Download EliteRom and place it to my storage
2. Boot to TWRP recovery
3. Wipe data, cache, dalvik
4. Flash EliteRom
5. Wait....
I post before on the forum and they said I must go decrypt before flashing the rom, but I don't know how to decrypt it (lol)
Hello,
You Should Also Flash the firmware file of the device for avoiding minior bugs.
No need to decrypt (extract).
Other Than All Steps Are Correct.

Hey guys, soooooo I finally updated my 7 Pro to the stable build of OOS12 that's out now. How do you install twrp and root this build??? When I use fastboot to boot a twrp img file, it borks the phone into a bootloop!
EDIT: So I was able to root it by just patching a boot image and flashing that. but is TWRP just not supported yet for OOS12?
Official TWRP for A12 ONEPLUS 7 PRO is now released.
Hello, as I mentioned in the title, you can now download the official TWRP for the official website, and the most recent version supports encryption/decryption. https://twrp.me/oneplus/oneplus7pro.html

what about the bugs and battery drain?
