Question video out on USB-C - Xiaomi 12S Ultra

Hi,
Can anyone confirm/test whether the 12S Ultra supports video output using a USB-C -> HDMI cable?
Does the phone has something like Huawei EasyProjection or Samsung Dex?
Thanks

I have tried but nothing. I know the specs say no but worth a try.
I loved the desktop mode of my Huawei and it is a shame Xiaomi do not add it to their phones.

this is sad. Thanks for checking

USB Type C on Mate 9 capable of digital audio?

Hello, I don't know if this subject was discussed before, but still I want to ask if anybody is aware or tried it before?
As the sound on our mighty Mate 9 is not the best, I would be tempted to try-out some digital earphones, with DAC built-in, and Z:ero looks very interesting.
Do you know if the USB Type C on our devices is capable of digital audio headphones, or did anybody try it before?
I curruntly use the fiio k1 dac/amp through the type c port. It works fine.
is working here fine as well!
looking for Fiio K1 to work with mate 9 pro.. please tell me the details of quality and performance..will it worth buying?
thanks

Will this phone have OIS? will it support normal hdmi out?

Something that was sorely missing from the OnePlus 5 was OIS.
Can anyone confirm if its got it.
Edit: yes it does
Second question I think I know the answer to but thought I'd ask.
I think no for both, but wait for launch day, who knows?
EDIT: OIS is most likely confirmed. (German Amazon leaked specs) But no HDMi sadly.

Good news about OIS, the HDMI out of a killer, but displaylink will still work.
Are you sure about no HDMI out? Isn't that something that Android supports by default and since 1+6 will jave usb c I see no reason why it should not support?

No I'm afraid not, the last device to be able to use HDMI directly from usb-c was the HTC 10 to my recollection, since googles pixel doesn't use direct usb-c to HDMI, all devices are now the same.
Display link technology is a dock with its own chipset, meaning it can render for the device.
I have a thread in the one plus 5 forum because there simply was no way to use a wired solution, I've had the one plus since midnight on its launch day, the general idea was that HDMI out was not possible, I tested the display link devices I've got and it works.
You need an app but it works well.
Hopefully on the next batch of phones we can use HDMI directly, but I'd assume not.

HDMI Output - Huawei MediaPad M5 10.0 Pro LTE

Hi guys.
I'm totally New in this forum and i say sorry for my bad english.
I have bought a Huawei MediaPad M5 10.0 Pro LTE, and i know that this tablet don't have a HDMI output via type-c connector. You know if with unlock and root it's possible active the HDMI output?
Thanks all for you attention.
I don't think so, as the USB-C connecter comes with USB2.0 I think. anybody: correct me when I'm wrong
maybe i explained it wrong. I mean to say that in the other tablet and smartphone (Samsung s3, Redmi 5 etc) it was possible through a plug "type-c to HDMI" or "mini-usb to HDMI" and show the screen of the Tablet or SmartPhone on the TV or monitor with HDMI IN. I knew that this possibility in MediaPad5 10 Pro, was not possible, and i wold like to know, if with Root was able to unlock this feature, or if it is a hardware limitation.
Sorry again for my bad english.
USB3 allows that. The Mediapad M5 (Pro) comes with USB2 only. So an USB-to-HDMI cable won't work. It is a hardware limitation.

I have a same tablet and I miss the hdmi out as well but I am not sure it is hardware limitation. It is just not implemented.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE phone USB 2.0 with MHL TV-out. Hdmi out is working fine via Samsung HDTV adapter. Unfortunately it cannot be connected to my tablet.

It's better than the more expensive Note 10 phones because it has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a non-curved screen. It's also far less expensive.
It's better than most other phones because it has the S-Pen (which I personally consider to be super useful on on my Note 8).
All in all, it looks like a great phone that offers the best combination of features for the price, especially to those who want a stylus.
So what?
Did I said anything about good or not good? I said it is not DeX compatible.
Btw. I tested this by myself, with my very new Note 10 Lite, coming from a Note 8.

As an owner of the Note 8 who is really impressed by the Note 10 Lite specs/price I'd be very curious to hear more details about this upgrade. What are the biggest advantages and compromises from your point of view?
Front camera sucks.. exchange my note 8 with note 10 lite and it is one of biggest mistake of my life.. performance is definetly better but the feel of curved screen I miss most.. note 9 has much better camera. I suggest to buy note 9 instead of note 10 lite
I am also interested by the Dex feature on this phone. But first as anyone tried to plug this phone a usb c to HDMI on a screen/TV ? I've read somewhere that the USB port does not handle HDMI output....
OK I tried some dongle and there is no HDMI out, like I read here and there on the web (USB-C 2.0 not 3.0).
So I'm wondering if it would be possible to port the new dex that is working over the air.
It is available on Note 20 on the One UI 2.5 update. Any idea ?

No! it doesn't work... it just got the support for USB C HUB's (hubs that have Ethernet, tons of usb ports, memory card readers, usb c power delivery...), but the video output (VGA or HDMI) does not work!!!
I just tried something that might work as DeX... I plugged in the USB C Dock(conected to the hub a wireless keyboard and mouse, ethernet and Power Delivery ) to the Galaxy Note 10 LITE, then I turn on Smart View to broadcast to the TV and I got a experience like DeX on the TV!--- Floating Windows, independent application view, etc---
I'm wondering if the Galaxy Note 10 LITE is not supporting the USB 3.0 just because of lack of the USB 3.0 drivers(ANDROID INTERNAL USB DRIVERS FOR HARDWARE), the Galaxy Note 9 uses the same Exynos 9810 chipset and supports USB 3.0 video output!!!

Can you tell me what Hub are you using ? Does the power delivery work well ? I was just thinking about bying one of those HUB actually...

My guess is, it's not a driver thing but hardware to limit cost. Note 10 lite is not considered as a High End device. That's why we don't get all the good stuff.
I'm gonna try to get my hand on the latest Dex APK and try to decompile and patch it so maybe we can use it on our device wirelessly. But, hey, I'm not an expert so donc expect me to find out any time soon.

I bought the Dodocool 14 in 1 USB C HUB... you can use the ethernet port and works really well, plug a wireless reciever, usb 3.0 or 2.0 and can work together, SD cards too... I haven't try the USB C Data port, all let you know when I test it... and the Power Delivery, I conected the wall charger that came with the Note 10 lite, to the PD port of the HUB and started to charge the phone...
This is the most important feature for a DEVELOPER TO CREATE FOR NOTE 10LITE!
Hardware wise is capable, but SOFTWARE is not permitting this feature. I hope that a DEVELOPER will be so kind to HELP on that!!!
Any app which can be used an alternative for dex?

Oppo find X2 lite otg video help

Good morning. I bought a cable type-c to dvi and connected to a monitor where the samsung galaxy send video correctly. why oppo find x2 lite doesn't work so even if i activated otg? perhaps this feature is not for this kind of connection? thanks
I don't think Oppo devices support MHL. Try using Chromecast instead.
