Hello,
I'm thinking of getting a Poco X3 Pro but I've seen reviews and comments saying there are disconnection or performance issues with 5Ghz WiFi. Is this restricted to some batches or are all units affected? Also, is this problem restricted to MIUI or is also present then using a custom ROM eg. LineageOS?
What phone are you currently using?
I've been using 5Ghz wifi on all my devices, my poco x3 pro downloading apex legends wild rift or 5gb movies just fine no problem at all, I think it depends on router signal and your region 5Ghz channels.

I'm looking for something with a mSD card slot and LineageOS official support. Those models don't have mSD support.

Hey all,
Recently I've switched from Honor 6 to Honor 8.
I have enabled the "Carrier aggregation" (LTE Cat. 6, 4G+). Problem is I'm not sure that Honor 8 is able to connect to 4G+.
With the Honor 6 I am able to achieve the 4G+ connection.
I'm on FRD-L09 with FRD-L09C432B120 in Athens/Greece.
Does anyone have the same issue? Can someone please test if it's working?
Thanks!

It seems to be correct. After all I get the 4G connection properly. I'll double check if APN needs anything more for the 4G+. Thank you.

Thanks button. Lol
Ok, I've contacted my carrier to ask them about the issue. They answered that I'll just have to wait. They provide the 4G+ service per smartphone brand and model. Honor 8 is relatively new, so they have to update their "list of supported devices".

That does make sense....but wouldn't u think that that should have already been implemented?

I don't really know their internals, but I'm guessing it's more of a bureaucratic than actual "implemention" issue.
I recently bought a dual-band Linksys Archer A5 in Germany which only shows bands 36-64 in settings. Only my old Asus Padfone X (unlocked AT&T model) connects to the 5GHZ band. My Nex S (global), Huawei P10 and my son's P9 Plus don't even see it. But my Mi Mix 2 (chinese rom) sees it but won't connect and when I force it, it won't reconnect automatically. Even the WiFi Analyzer app doesn't see it on those phones. But my two Chinese TV boxes and my Lenovo tablet (US model) connect automatically.
Any ideas or a workaround? Any help is much appreciated.
Replies are always few and far between on this Nex forum. Anyone please?

If you don't get an answer here, try a Linksys forum with your router model.

Good idea but then it's unlikely they would know anything about Chinese phones.
Hi there,
i am having serious connectivity issues on my MIX 3(bought from Gearbest) in Canada, Rogers/Fido carrier uses B4,B7 for LTE, but I never get that..stuck on 3G for voice and 3G+(H+) for data..tried both sim slots, different "preferred network" settings, nothing works..on chinese ROM and now Global ROM same thing, except Global is even less stable and it drops signal quite often..searched for it, but no results for Mix 3, although a lot of similar issues with other Xiaomi phones..anyone some ideas how to resolve this??
thanks a lot

Did you buy the 8/256 model? If not you may be missing band support.

I have 8/128, but that should be compatible with what i need for my carrier, B4 and B7. Spoke to my carrier tech support, nothing wrong with the sim, or my network...as i said, it was bad on china ROM, even worse after i flashed it to global. any chance it might be modem related?anyone with similar or same problems?
I flashed global on my 8/256 and didn't see any issues.

UPDATE:
Finally fixed it. Over the weekend I went to US and had perfect LTE connection while roaming with T-mobile, so i assumed it wasn't the MIX3 issue..I went to my carrier(FIDO) again and we figured that my APN had wrong name by default.but I wasn't able to change it or create a new one (some sort of blocking from my carrier with Android phones as I read on some other forums..). long story short, search "SOLVED-FIDO-APN-MIUI 10" if anyone encounter same or similar problem...can't post links

When I am on WiFi both 2.4 or 5 G, my data line gets cut off automatically.!!!
Is this normal? Or have I unknowingly set up my phone as such?
Am using oneplus 7pro.

The normal version OnePlus 7 Pro

Only the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G version
has 5G
P.S.
Which OnePlus 7 Pro phone version do you have?

My op7P is the non 5G phone.
By 5G I referred to the dual band WiFi.
That's normal. Why would you want data to be enabled while using WiFi? Except when you want faster network switch but more battery drain. You can force enable it in developer options to keep data on while connected to wifi. It's called "mobile data always active"

I finally tried arrow os, and damn the rom is better at bandwith or signal management. I think its because of some .lib or the rom is just better at handling signal. Havoc and other custom rom should be copying something from arrowOS, imho. Im from indonesia by the way, pretty rural place where i live in. Ty for the reply
no issue here using Indosat, full 4G+ and sometimes 4G
