Question Android 13 Beta/BT5.2/LE Audio - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Looking into buying the S22 ultra but just had one question I'd like to clear up before I do:
I read that the S22 would be getting a beta release based on Android 13/OneUI5 in July with a target final release towards the end of the year. Given that Android 13 will finally be supporting LE Audio (LC3 codec) and the S22 range has BT5.2, does this mean that the Samsungs will automatically support this?
I know that in the past Samsung have been very lacklustre in their audio support (especially AptX) in hopes that their proprietary SSC would take hold. Even for LDAC you had to jump through developer options to get it activated, so just wondering if Android 13 incorporating this will automatically provide the LE Audio functionality for the S22 range or whether Samsung will play funny games and leave it out in some kind of way with OneUI5?
Anyone here involved in the Beta test by any chance who could chime back on this??

nobody?

Android 13 beta for S22 Ultra is already out, so you can try to ask in the thread dedicated to this beta. I know that on S22 Ultra with Android 12 LDAC works out of the box without any need to mess with developer settings, I use it nearly every day.

Not sure what would need to be in there to know if it's effectively supporting LE audio. I'm assuming it would either list LE Audio or LC3 but not seeing it in the menu there so doesn't look promising
Thx for sharing though Chris!

Hello guys,
We all know how awesome those photos look which have that depth effect in them called the Portrait Mode. In 2017, Portrait mode is all rage and most of the smartphones could achieve it using 2 primary cameras.
With the introduction of Pixel 2 lineup, all this changed when Google achieved the same effect using a single sensor with dual pixel technology.
We all know that Galaxy S8 & S8 Plus uses the same dual pixel technology for faster autofocus. So now, it is very much possible for Samsung to provide the Portrait mode for S8 & S8 plus like the Google did but it is highly unlikely that Samsung will work on it considering that their main focus is on the Note lineup.
Galaxy S series phones are costly too & we users spend a considerable amount of our earnings to get a flagship experience & thus should not be left behind with features like Portrait mode which can be implemented with a software update. Considering the current scenario, Samsung is not going to roll out this feature with the Oreo update as well.
Thus I have created a petition on change.org which I request my fellow users to sign. If we get enough signatures, then who knows, we might even get the Portrait mode in the near future.
Here is the link to the petition Sign Here
Do spread a word among all the Galaxy S8 communities so that we can get maximum support.
You do know these petitions do absolutely nothing, regardless of how many people vote, right?!
Jesus christ enough with these ridiculous petitions lol I have a hard time believing this one is even for real
Just use "Selective Focus" ?
yip, selective focus gives same effect, works very well. see pic attached
Samsung has already mentioned that they are working to bring portrait mode to s8 and s8+.

That was supposed to be with the Oreo update.
Is there any thing else that I missed out on?

Ulefone official website claims that Ulefone power 3 will have the update of Android 8.1 very soon in March, 2018 and some Chinese retailer, like Coolicool, has advertised in their home page too. Any ideas?
Customer Support told me it was planned for May (they said they need to wait for permission from Google...
does anybody know about root for current version?
i 'think' i got the bootloader unlocked via adb and unlock bootloader. the end result was bootloader unlocked but i didnt get to check it yet.
I really hope they fix the camera on the Oreo update, because it is really ****. I really love the rest of it, but the camera is so bad that it is a totally dealbreaker for me.
4 days left... how can it be May when they website still says March?
web site is missleading i guess they have writedown their estimation i guess.
Can you guys recommend me a case for Ulefone Power 3, the ones i could found are too cheap, anything like this? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Wol...Mobile-Phone-Case-For-Huawei/32784085576.html
Thank you.
Ulefone Power 3 will get Android Oreo upgrade in June.
You can check official information here: https://www.ulefoneshop.com/blog/ulefone-power-3-official-android-oreo-8-update-faq/
Ulefone released another teaser video of the Power 3 and 3S for the Oreo 8.1 Update.
https://youtu.be/7L9RNZmFlZ8
It was published May 14th:
As we promised before, the 6080mAh Ulefone Power 3 is getting Android 8.1 Oreo update. After the beta testing stage is over, the Oreo system on the Power 3 is stable and works perfectly well. The all-new Oreo system combined with the Power 3’s high-end MTK6763 octa-core processor and 6080mAh battery capacity delivers a smoother, faster and more energy-efficient overall performance. The final version of Android Oreo will be rolled out via OTA as long as a new GMS certification is approved.
Currently waiting for their GMS certification with Google.
Well it is now nearly at the end of July and still have no Oreo update........
when this phone will get update 8.0?
Any news?
Hi guys,
My Ulefone Power 3 brought from China in Dec 2017, suddenly no longer wants to focus on the main camera.
I tried different applications for the camera and no one focus anymore.

Amazon Prime Video - Full HD (1080p)?

Hello!
I really wanna buy this phone but I couldn't find anywhere on the Internet if there is Full HD (1080p) in the Amazon Prime Video app? There are sooo many phones that only have 720p or even SD (WHY?)! So please could someone please check it out and tell me if it says "1080p" on the bottom left?
Thanks in advance!
If you have 1080p in apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime etc depends on the Google Widevine certifiction level each phone has. In order to stream in 1080p you need to have Level 1, which the Find X2 Pro DOES have. However, a few users reported that their phones dropped to Level 3 (which allows for SD streaming only) after updating them to a newer firmware. They then had to contact Oppo and they've been sent a special application that they could use to get their phone back to Level 1. From what I've seen this was only a handful of users though, so most likely if you decide to buy it there won't be any problem and even if there is, there's definitely is a way out.
@Craphead
Thanks for the reply. I'm aware of that Widevine- stuff (and the update- problem [L1/L3]) and also that unfortunately it means nothing, whether a phone has Level 1 or not, when it comes to (Full)HD. Yes, it is necessary to have Level 1 but if the streaming- guys say "nope" (for whatever reason, I will never understand), then Level 1 is no use. For example, I have the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, with Level 1, on Netflix for instance everything is perfect but on Amazon Prime Video: "glorious" SD in the year 2020, not even fakeHD (720p), as I call it.
That's why I want to gently ask any user of the Oppo Find X2 Pro, if he/she could check it out on their Amazon Prime Video- app. I want/need 1080p in 2020 (or I won't buy any smartphone anymore).
Thank you.

I'm a Prime Video user as well and 1080p is absolutely working for me.
@Craphead
Thank you very much!
Now I'm gonna buy the orange one on Amazon ?
(Thread can be closed).
It's take a 30 seconds but does go to HD1080.

Best Smartphones - that are rootable & have nice Custom Roms?

Hi Guys,
I wonder wich "best" Smartphones from 2020/2021 are rootable?
Especially looking for one with a Superb Camera.

(obviously only Android - Iphone Users don't have much advanced control over their phonse..)
Because for Example Galaxy S21 isn't rootable (yet?) - I mostly used rooted (&optimized) Samsung Smartphones (now still having the S10)
Wich one you would recommend these Days?
Because I never want to use a Smartphone, wich lags root possibillities (without it is too insecure, too many ads, too many ****/spy apps etc etc)
Probably you are also looking for one, so we would be happy to share our Knowledge.
My Candicate for now:
Galaxy S21 Ultra

See you:
It seems, there aren't many users watching this.
I think many would be interested, but I also know, that many pro users are only interested in their smartphones forums, not this one.
However when you have an better Idea, please let me know.
not sure that package falls entirely in one phone. OnePlus lots of roms but cameras... Pixels maybe, but it's not top tier SoCs. I think Samsung is doing everything it can to block unlock but it still be done on non updated phones. GSIs might be the future of decent roms for many.
if Samsung release the rumoured S21FE it might be a snapdragon that's unlockable on international versions.
For me, I vote Pixel #1 and OnePlus #2. I won't buy anything else! I've owned everything at one time or another but these devices use custom AOSP roms as if they were born with them. Current using Pixel 4XL stock rom August 2021 build along with few magisk mods and Sultan kernel. I couldn't ask for a better experience really!!

Question No more Watch 4 updates?

Last one I had was in February.
Guess no more offical updates?
I'm wondering if it's because watch 6 should be coming out soon. I'm sure there may be more updates, has there been anything official from Samsung about updates and how watch 4 is supported?
