Motorola Moto G82 - General Questions and Answers

Hi everyone
I'm not sure the section is correct, but in the Motorola section I didn't find the dedicated section and I didn't find a Generic Motorola section
I asked if there is news for the rooting and modding for the Motorola Moto G82 5G https://www.motorola.it/smartphones-moto-g-82-5g/p which I intend to purchase. The international name is likely to be different, but I was unable to find it
Ps
Sorry for my English, I use an online translator

Hopefully soon, looks like a good phone

Read better the guide I linked...
The unlock code must be used with the fastboot command on PC
For boot.img you extract from original firmware file with 7Zip or WinRAR. To download the original firmware see this guide

Yes, i know.
But earlier i must switch on menu OEM unlock to "on"

You used the guide posted earlier aka?? Also is wifi and Bluetooth working?
Unlock BootLoader, Boot Logo, Root, TWRP, Motorola Moto G6 Plus, Tutorial, Xposed
This Tutorial I'm doing to get root on our device, I know there are several similar threads, so I gathered the information from them, I've done this post to achieve it in a way easier and faster, without the need to search for thread by thread...

How to unlock bootloader again on stock 6.0.1

hi guy i already unlock bootloader previously and installed many rom but later i fastboot flashed MM6.0.1 stock and locked the bootloader and it show status :2 , now i want to unlock the bootloader again and want to install twrp and roor the device on stock mm 6.0.1 pls help
The process to unlock again is identical as the first time, if you still have the code you can still use the same one or go through Moto's website to get it again.
Note that some users have stated that if they unlock, then re-lock, unlocking again doesn't work (it worked fine for me though)... And I think one user had an issue where it bricked trying to unlock again but I could be foggy on that one.

Unable to unlock bootloader using In-depth Test

It says "Failed to submit application" and " This is carrier-customized phone" .
I am using the India version (Realme 5 Pro)
OS: RMX1971_11_A.13
Carrier: N/A (No sim)
Location: Malaysia
I am fine with unofficial method, please let me know if there is any. Tks in advance!
UPDATE:
Apparently unlocking bootloader is OFFICIALLY NOT SUPPORTED for Malaysian version, as seen in the email attached.
If you buy your phone in Malaysia with the intension to flash a custom ROM, you are basically jebaited. 1 year after starting this thread and there is still not a single way, official or unofficial, to unlock the bootloader on Malaysian devices. So, if you are looking to buy a cheap phone to flash a custom ROM on, do yourself a favor and go for Xiaomi instead.
while asking question, you have to elaborate viz version of firmware, country, carrier etc

Hi. May i know were you able to downgrade or solve the carrier problem?
Hi, I'm also having this problem, may I know if you were able to find a solution?
No, downgrading doesn't work. I emailed Realme Support Malaysia and they replied that bootloader unlocking is not supported in Malaysia so I gave up.
With that being said, I did thought up an idea recently . I havent try it personally because I dont have time to do so but it might just work: After you reset your phone, on the set up screen, choose India as your location instead of EU or Malaysia. Then, try unlocking again.
Anybody have nothing better to do please help me try this out and reply if it works or not. Ty
Update: Apparently you cant choose your country on the set-up screen

1. Turn off your phone.
2. Press volume down + power button at same time.
OR
1. Turn on USB DEBUGGING + OEM UNLOCKING from Developer mode.
2. Install ADB drivers in your computer.
3. Type command in adb shell adb reboot bootloader
* By both methods you will enter bootloader mode.
1. Type command in Fastboot shell Fastboot flashing unlock
2. Use physical keys in your phone to confirm unlock bootloader.

In case anybody wondering, this doesn't work, the phone just simply restarts into OS instead of landing on the fastboot screen like shown in the video.

SM-S205DL (Straight Talk Model)

Hi all,
I have a Straight Talk Galaxy A20, model SM-S205DL. Will root instructions work for this model? I don't notice an OEM unlock option in the Developer Mode menu, but I can boot in download mode. Thoughts? It's been a while since I tried to install custom firmware.

Okay. Is there a way to do that other than the developer options menu? If the OEM unlock option isn't there, is there some other method?

There is a trick where you change the date to some weeks in the future.

Some places claim to be able to change the CID of the phone. Would that help? I imagine once able to load different non-TFN BS firmware on the phone that magic developer option may appear. Or is it a hardware thing and the exynos chip has something to do with it? Not sure how it all works yet. Anyone know what the unlocked us retail model contains?
I'm not smart enough to find out so hopefully someone is and reads this and can chime in regarding all the points...

Bootloader unlocked - then what?

Hi, so I have the Chinese PDEM30 version of the Oppo X2 Pro and I've applied for the bootloader unlock using the in depth testing APK from Oppo. As I believe it was made available in July, wondering if anyone else has done this yet and had approval already?
Once (if) I get approval, I gather the unlock is pretty simple:
1) App says approved
2) restart into recovery mode by holding power + volume down (after backing up data of course).
3) plug into PC and use ADB to unlock using the simple generic fasboot command (after enabling USB debugging in developer options of course).
PHONE UNLOCKED!
So here comes the silly question - does this mean I can load ANY ROM I want or does it have to be a custom ROM via TWRP or some other tool.
I simply want to load the global ROM, so assuming I can just do this from the recovery mode. Obviously right now it doesn't work as we get the "this is an older version" error. Will an unlocked bootloader solve this or is there more to it?
Appreciate any help from someone a bit more familiar with the process.
Thanks
Ben
and FYI, here's the current status in the testing app, I have to wait until the 10th September for the result. Fingers crossed!

No, you have to register anyway as it's part of the criteria. Just register on Oppos UK site with your number, then login to the Chinese site using that login.

Thank you sir I can confirm the flash_file.xml reference was followed in the commands. I double checked.
I LMSA says it can't verify my software and won't let me continue . I got the new september update and i think lmsa don't have it yet. idk why else it would say this.
bump. Anyone?
update: I Reflashed 3 times successfully only the SOFTWARE CHANNEL still shows Universal SKU
This picture i found from ebay is from the same model I have. Yet they have no metro bloatware and North America Retail under software channel, Mine says Universal SKU.

Your best bet is honestly to just either use a custom rom or to remove all the bloatware either manually or systemlessly.
