Question downgrading android poco x3 pro - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

Guys, i just want to know can i downgrade my poco x3 pro from miui 13 (android 12) to lineage os 18 (android 11) via twrp. Will there any issue in flashing?

No, but you must Wipe all Data Vendor and etc.

Yes, there is only one issue :
Your DRM L1 Keys will be lost if you downgrade from a higher version of android to a lower one ! This is for all android devices !
This is why users should think 1000000 times before jumping to a new version of android ... Sometimes new things are not welcome ! This is my case with android 12 : ugly as sh.t, cartoonish childish & miuish UI with those bubbles everywhere like a supermarioworld game ... may be other users have a different taste.
12 definitely not for me ... i stick this time with 11 : fully customizable & a mature OS !

Since you are going to change a different OS, format data is required, loosing all personal data and apps.
Backup your data and apps manually. Do not rely on custom recoveries backup function, they can fail to restore, especially crossing Android versions. Restore data can fail even in exactly same version OS.
Whether to flash MIUI 12 or not, try and error. Your choice to go safer route or experiment route. Stable daily driver vs. toy phone to play/ experiment.
Safer route: Flash MIUI 12, format data (type yes), reboot to MIUI 12, wait for half or one hour, then flash LOS 18, format data (type yes), reboot.
Experiment route: Flash LOS, format data (type yes), reboot and see if it can be booted. Even if it can be booted, there's still risk of instability in the future.
If experiment route failed to boot, go into recovery and follow as the safer route.
Try and error.

The steps are very simple :
. first, you likely will not be able to use your internal storage in A12 from TWRP, so use an OTG storage or a simple Micro-SD card
. download the latest firmware 12.5.9.0 for "A11" from here or here (the whole MIUI firmware is not needed)
. download the latest LOS 18.1 build for POCO X3 Pro
. +/- download my latest gapps from here
. put everything in your readable storage (up)
. flash on the fly : the firmware, followed with LOS build +/- gapps
. format now the "internal storage" (with type yes)
. reboot
Edit :
. You likely need to fix the persist partition too, if sensors are not working properly after downgrade
. Check first with this app from the Play Store : if your score is at 32, then everything is OK
. if not, flash the persist-blank-image from bellow & my MOD here since it includes also a fix for "persist" partition (rewrite all the needed folders)
As i said before, DRM L1 keys are lost forever if you downgrade (can be restored only if you upgrade to MIUI 13 S again)

No flashing instructions for beginners are offered, sorry. If you're here in this section, you should know what you're doing. More detailed guide can be found here and here .
Read the instructions carefully and completely, check unfamiliar terminology by google or xda.
The instructions do not perform, if you do not know what you're doing.
P.S.: keep in mind, that this ROM is rooted with build-in SuperUser , and you cannot turn off SuperUser!

Hi Alf! Is always me ahaha.
Anyway I wanted to ask you if it makes sense to switch from LineageOS 18.1 to this one here, or they are the same (especially in terms of stability). I also would like to know if there is a way to avoid loosing the unlocked bootloader when I have to switch to stock firmware. Thank you

I don't know bro, but try looking here:
berkai-gsi

Question Here we go again: Unlocking, debloating, etc.

As my main driver is a Redmi Note 7 on crDroid 6.3 with microG/GCam I would like to "free" my new Poco X3 Pro as soon as possible from Bloat/MIUI. As long as no good Xiaomi.eu/mi-globe or even better crDroid ROM is available I will probably not use Poco X3 Pro as main driver, unless I'm able to debloat successfully and a good GCam gets available.
Last time on the RN7 I did the unlock process ca. 20 months ago, so I do remember only some major steps and wanted to create this thread as long as no Tutorial is available here at xda.
I've done
- setup Mi Account
- Dev Unlock on MIUI Version field
- Additional settings > Developer options >
OEM unlocking
Mi Unlock Status
USB debugging
- already had ADB drivers, downloaded miflash_unlock-en-5.5.224.24.zip
with batch_unlock.exe requested unlock
tool says "please unlock 168 hours later"
Would'nt it be nice if for a small quote shops would offer Xiaomi unlocking included? Do exist those? I would seriously consider that in the future to avoid any registration etc. with Xiaomi.
So now I have to wait a week and maybe read some guides. Unsure if I can debloat with XiaomiADBFastbootTools-7.0.3.jar before device is unlocked. I think I had problems unlocking RN7 because I uninstalled some Mi stuff which was necessary to unlock. So I may wait?
Hi,
There already is a xiaomi.eu rom for our poco x3 pro.
Just one week wait isn't a lot...
Ive successfully debloated mine. My unlock timer ends tonight and just waiting to see more confirmation on the TWRP/OrangeFox that appeared.
Has anyone used my script yet to make their Poco X3 Pro fully read-write-able for debloating MIUI and further customizations? By default your stock system is read-only.
It was developed on Poco X3 NFC so it should work well with Poco X3 Pro I believe. Please report back if it works for you or not. Thanks!
hey lebigmac!
just got my x3 pro 2 days ago and it seems like i can debloat just fine using fastboot without using any scripts. even after multiple factory resets
on miui 12.0.4, bootloader still locked.
bought my device from malaysia
Hi xelrix. Congratulations on getting that wonderful device!
My script is useful if you want to remove stubborn system apps that are hidden deep inside your read-only system
You should apply for bootloader unlock as soon as possible. It's very useful if you are hard bricked you can always flash new super image from recovery or fastboot.
168 hours have passed so I successfully unlocked mine with miflash_unlock-en-5.5.224.55.
I look forward to install a Xiaomi.eu/mi-globe unless interesting Custom ROMs (signature spoofing enabled) come fast ;-)
From what I can see this is the situation:

here is what i did from the very beginning
1 > fastboot flash recovery ofox_vayu7.img (#ofox in chat)
2 > fastboot boot ofox_vayu7.img (unplug usb when screen goes black and wait untill ofox is fully booted or else MTP dead)
3 > format /data (with yes confirmation)
4 > reboot recovery
5 > transfer files to internal via MTP
flash xiaomi.eu
6 > manually mount odm in recovery settings
7 > flash dfe (disable verity & encrypt)
8 > flash magisk
reboot to system
(6 & 7 is not needed now as we don't have rw permission)
and it ****ing booted (after 10 min wil look like miui logo is stuck (yes it seriously can take this long be patient))

Hi, I've debloated following these steps and the steps in the F1 & X3 NFC threads.
But my home screen and lock screen are both black.
What do I need to reactivate to restore the home & lock screens?
Thanks in advance

I only used it for a about an hour (while flashing a zillion ROMs to see what they look and feel like). It was as good as any other (ie, no obvious issue or problem, during the short period that I had it).
However, I must have been very impressed by it, because I made a backup of it (I didn't make a backup of any other, save the stock MIUI).
Dude, the custom ROM is freaking awesome, the best battery life i have seen so far, buttery smooth, and it is the smoothest ROM I have tried for games, I have tried Conquer OS, Arrow OS, Paranoid OS, Evolution X, Havoc, Android 12 beta 4 and 3, Corvus and PixelPlusUI, but AOSPK is the best of all.
Thanks for this great ROM mate.
Forgive my ignorance. Is it necessary or a good idea to unlock (Mi unlock) the device first? I just got my device this morning. First device not running Android One in my case. Appreciate your help.

Thanks! Going to start the debloat process now and then wait for the timer to run down.
thanks for this great rom, working flawlessly so far!
i have a question about something that happened during flash. The same red colored messaged showed up on the screen saying something similar to "unable to mount cache" or something like that. Should i reflash the rom or is there no problem?
edit: fixed by wiping cache through twrp
another question tho. is there a way to auto accept pin code when unlocking screen? there's nothing in screen lock options. miui had this and i'm finding this to be very annoying

That's actually a convenience feature of Miui, but since i'm using fingerprint so there's no need for auto log in anyway.
Btw does anyone knows a way to access Android/data? My favourite app to manage files is X-plore and new AOSP roms seems to restricted this app from accessing Android/data. Miui don't have this problem.
I already know many apps that can do that like Root Explorer but i kinda wanna stick with X-plore.
Also i'd love it if you could get rid of the restriction in the first place.
Interesting, will follow this project too since it have vanilla. Is possible to have a list of system apps installed in the vanilla version? It have the two tap to wake up issue too? SD card work or i'm forced to format it to be recognized?
I'm on vanilla ArrowOS atm, need really to install MIUI stock before flash it or i can simply flash over ArrowOS and then format data? Just wondering if is mandatory the MIUI and TWRP installation (since MIUI will overwrite TWRP with stock revovery). Thank you mate for your work.

Check permissions for X-plore. I added "files & media" manually. I'm not sure if this is enough, since I already granted access to data/ folder and X-plore can browse without this permission.
Hello,i am experiencing laggy scrolling in the play store and in chrome, and sometimes in the settings menu and in the ui in general,i ve not tweaked anything besides installing magisk, also tried 2 other roms and did not have this problem, battery life is the best on this one,but the scrolling issue is a big annoying,it feels like its not hardware accelerated, any way i can enable smooth scrolling myself or something like that?

Doogee N20 - Some phones are just hard to modify

After finally unlocking the bootloader, installed TWRP 3.6.0 and rotted with Magisk v23.0. Lets find a custom ROM that suits this phone - WRONG!
I have tried many types of ROM and so far it ends in soft brick. Need advise if you have any. My aim is to install a basic custom ROM , install pico or nano GAPP, and only install like 4 apps on it. phone, sms, navigation, music player etc.
I have tried the following ROM:
Phhusson-treble AOSP andriod version 9, 11 & 12.
GSI arm64 ab ROM
a so call stock ROM
I also tried installing the vendor.img as described here
I would like to use LineageOS but there doesn't seem to be one for this phone
I am now resorting to installing the stock firmware to make the phone work again, instruction here
If anyone has sucessfully rooted this phone using a basic ROM and GAPP please share how you did it and where your download was.
Why did phhuson fail ? That's the basic gsi, every other gsi are build on top of that. If that doesn't work, nothing will.

I install - system-arm64 –ab
I did some research that the Doogee n20 is a arm64 and a+b .... Unless I got the wrong information.
I suspect there maybe some stock firmware files that needs to be installed as well to make it work properly.
A post said it needs vendor.img, I might try sourcing another copy.
Follow up - I got it un-bricked with the stock firmware (android 9) (link in my original post) .... Back to square one .

Tried android 9 (the phones original version) 11, and 12..... No luck.
follow advices from this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/doogee-n20-twrp.4136331/
and this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...loop-after-any-custom-rom-doogee-n20.4357313/
Hey man, did you get it fixed?
Actually this device is A-only, but you should use Gsis A/B.
Most Phh based Gsi works almost perfectly for me.
You can try this:
- Download and install Twrp 3.6.1 here
- Download LineageOS 18.1 (lir) here Choose "arm64 bvZ" version
- Download stock rom here or Y9Plus variant here
- Extract the Gsi, and the vendor image from the stock rom
- I restarted in Twrp, go to wipe and select system, data, cache...
- Go install and flash the Gsi as system image, and vendor as vendor image
-reboot

It might work, but stick with OP steps, those 110% WORK, but up to you. I gave up on TWRP when A/B partitions came out and chose to just stick with and use stock ROM recovery. That will always work, TWRP, maybe not so much, IDK, it might, but you wont get the same type of help if you choose your own path (TWRP).
Also, just an FYI on nomenclature, this isn't firmware, but ROM, firmware contains all partitions, drivers, ETC., this is just the OS (ROM).
Thank good bro. Please you can create a version same this version V9, but face id use camera, same same this version 7.2 so you made ( https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=333516). Because i not enough money to buy the normal 4xl, i just enough to buy one no face id. Thank you for your time

Interesting, this is new to me (unable to scan face for a PX4), what type of pixel 4 XL is it then? Or are there hardware issues I missed? I cant comment on this fix (I am not the dev here) but I might be able to help you once I know the scope of work.
@putzwon, I have used this OS (ROM) since Friday, and thoroughly testing EVERYTHING! WOW, I am literally floored at how well EVERYTHING works!!
I have NO ISSUES, NO BUGS, NO SHOWSTOPPERS, nada. Even Now Playing works, I am floored by all of this! It is amazing, and I rarely say that about a ROM (with no bugs also being reported - at the same time), and as I noted earlier, in the past, cRdroid wasn't great for me (random bugs, and/or missing features I rely on). NOT this version, this version IS GREAT FOR ME, I have EVERY SINGLE possible tweak I want/need/use, PLUS functional services / RIL (Radio Interface Layer) I.E. CALLs/TXT/MMS, PLUS no bugs, or FCs, or anything that would keep me away!
Normally, I use LOS, and LOS only (while testing all other ROMs for users and myself), but always landing back with LOS, not this time! I am STICKING WITH cRdroid for the foreseeable future, it is my DailyDriver and will remain so until something changes (but doubtful at this point)!! I have everything I need, baked right into the ROM, so I don't even need my LSPosed modules (other than SafetyNetFix once ROOT'ng)!
EXTREMELY WELL DONE and THANK YOU FOR THIS ROM!!!! For the rest of XDA users, this ROM WORKS! It works EXTREMELY WELL, is bug-free (from my extensive testing and standpoint). I haven't found any bugs yet (not a single one)!

Yes, this is a type of 4XL, it's cheaper to 20% .
Installed it yesterday and almost everything is working perfectly. The only feature that seems to be missing Soli which is a shame since it's a fun novelty.
best rom ever love you
thaaanks
Thanks for the rom. Perhaps anyone could advice me if there is an easy switch from LOS 20 to this rom? If possible I'd like to avoid installing all apps again ... including the "security" features for a couple of sensitiv apps like bank apps.
Perhaps someone knows if restoring a swiftbackup would work.
Thanks

it is easy
i do it everytime I flash a custom rom
you need to root your phone using magisk
then instal
Migrate - ROM backup 5.0.1from play store
open it and take a full backup of your installed apps
copie this backup to your laptop
and after flashing this perfect rom
copie the backup from the laptop to the phone
and root the phone again
and instal
Migrate flasherfrom play store
open it
and flash the file you backed up
this way you will have allll your apps including your banking apps with all your data
you will not have to instal anything twise...
good luck
it is easy
don't worry..
