Question Here we go again: Unlocking, debloating, etc. - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

As my main driver is a Redmi Note 7 on crDroid 6.3 with microG/GCam I would like to "free" my new Poco X3 Pro as soon as possible from Bloat/MIUI. As long as no good Xiaomi.eu/mi-globe or even better crDroid ROM is available I will probably not use Poco X3 Pro as main driver, unless I'm able to debloat successfully and a good GCam gets available.
Last time on the RN7 I did the unlock process ca. 20 months ago, so I do remember only some major steps and wanted to create this thread as long as no Tutorial is available here at xda.
I've done
- setup Mi Account
- Dev Unlock on MIUI Version field
- Additional settings > Developer options >
OEM unlocking
Mi Unlock Status
USB debugging
- already had ADB drivers, downloaded miflash_unlock-en-5.5.224.24.zip
with batch_unlock.exe requested unlock
tool says "please unlock 168 hours later"
Would'nt it be nice if for a small quote shops would offer Xiaomi unlocking included? Do exist those? I would seriously consider that in the future to avoid any registration etc. with Xiaomi.
So now I have to wait a week and maybe read some guides. Unsure if I can debloat with XiaomiADBFastbootTools-7.0.3.jar before device is unlocked. I think I had problems unlocking RN7 because I uninstalled some Mi stuff which was necessary to unlock. So I may wait?

Hi,
There already is a xiaomi.eu rom for our poco x3 pro.
Just one week wait isn't a lot...

Ive successfully debloated mine. My unlock timer ends tonight and just waiting to see more confirmation on the TWRP/OrangeFox that appeared.

Has anyone used my script yet to make their Poco X3 Pro fully read-write-able for debloating MIUI and further customizations? By default your stock system is read-only.
It was developed on Poco X3 NFC so it should work well with Poco X3 Pro I believe. Please report back if it works for you or not. Thanks!

hey lebigmac!
just got my x3 pro 2 days ago and it seems like i can debloat just fine using fastboot without using any scripts. even after multiple factory resets
on miui 12.0.4, bootloader still locked.
bought my device from malaysia

Hi xelrix. Congratulations on getting that wonderful device!
My script is useful if you want to remove stubborn system apps that are hidden deep inside your read-only system
You should apply for bootloader unlock as soon as possible. It's very useful if you are hard bricked you can always flash new super image from recovery or fastboot.

168 hours have passed so I successfully unlocked mine with miflash_unlock-en-5.5.224.55.
I look forward to install a Xiaomi.eu/mi-globe unless interesting Custom ROMs (signature spoofing enabled) come fast ;-)
From what I can see this is the situation:

this one boots fine and can wipe and flash etc (build from yesterday)
/data still broken (but you can format)

here is what i did from the very beginning
1 > fastboot flash recovery ofox_vayu7.img (#ofox in chat)
2 > fastboot boot ofox_vayu7.img (unplug usb when screen goes black and wait untill ofox is fully booted or else MTP dead)
3 > format /data (with yes confirmation)
4 > reboot recovery
5 > transfer files to internal via MTP
flash xiaomi.eu
6 > manually mount odm in recovery settings
7 > flash dfe (disable verity & encrypt)
8 > flash magisk
reboot to system
(6 & 7 is not needed now as we don't have rw permission)
and it ****ing booted (after 10 min wil look like miui logo is stuck (yes it seriously can take this long be patient))

Hi, I've debloated following these steps and the steps in the F1 & X3 NFC threads.
But my home screen and lock screen are both black.
What do I need to reactivate to restore the home & lock screens?
Thanks in advance

Yes, it'll wipe everything if you follow the mentioned advice at the end of main post. It'll be as a new device. But remember to save your mi account well. or sign out before the flashing process.
Smartlock
Is somebody can say me if smartlock with bluetooth device is ok in miui 10 bêta. Because like for my redmi on my poco impossible to connect the phone with à Bluetooth device and have smartlock functional

It's okay to do it without signing out your mi account if you remember your password :b
EDIT: oh wait, you already said that lol sorry
Guys, I actually just downloaded the MIUI 10 .zip file (full rom) and used the System updater app to install it, 3 dots in top right corner, choose update package and then selected the MIUI 10 ROM.
I DIDN'T unlock my bootloader but I did enable developer options as I tend to do this religiously on all phones...
I have been getting OTA updates but funnily enough it hasn't changed the version past 810.11 though I am on Sept. 2018 security patch...
I'll note that yesterday it updated, I got the "Android has successfully updated" message in notifications but it is STILL showing 8.10.11...
A bit easier than unlocking bootloader, then using fastboot, took literally the time to download the ROM and put it on my phone.
Up to you how you wish to do this BUT, please note, I can't go back to MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM now unless I unlock my bootloader.
Oh, and this WILL format your data partition so backup...
I tried this method and gave me an error, when I tried to reboot my phone it just went to the fastboot screen and not to the device. Can anyone help me?
Can I flash miui 10 beta on a locked bootloader with stock recovery?

[IMG]https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5137187&stc=1&d=1605631133
Q2: Are there any risks after unlocking the bootloader?
Please be aware that realme cannot guarantee the full functionality, and will not be responsible, for any third-party unsigned custom ROM being flashed onto your device after the bootloader is unlocked. An unsigned third-party custom ROM may not have gone through the thorough tests that we run for each device and software version that we release.
A third-party custom ROM may not work properly on your device, and certain functions and services may cease to work. The performance and device data may also be affected, and may damage the device permanently. In the worst case, unlocking bootloader will cause physical injuries or material damage for ex. due to device overheating.
Q3: Will it affect future OTAs after unlocking?
Secure user data partition may also become inaccessible and you will not be able to get official software upgrades if you unlock the bootloader. Once re-locked the bootloader, users will receive official OTAs again.
Q4: Will it affect warranty?
Warranty will be fully applied to problems caused by realme 3 unlocking or flashing a custom ROM.
Q5: How to flash back the official ROM after installing a custom ROM?
Users need to go to a service center to flash the device FREE of charge.
Hello there, Thank you for your detailed explanation for unlocking bootloader for Realme X50 5G.
I used to download the deeptest apk from other website, but the result was not successful. The deeptest app said "my device is not supported."
My device model is RMX2025. And my quick question is this deeptest app will support RMX2025, won't it?

That's the sad story. Right now I found no deep testing app that supports RMX2025. So hopeless for this model. :crying::crying:
I have RMX2051 but when I install the deep testing apk, it opens and then the app closes immediately. Any idea why this happens?
Notes:
- OEM unlock is enabled
- All permissions for the app are enabled and I also restarted my phone but it still crashes
- USB debugging is enabled (though this isn't relevant for opening the app)
Could it be because I'm on Android 11 and this apk only supports Android 10?
If no solution.... what is the purpose of the deeptesting application? What would happen if I just skip this step and proceed to the fastboot tool step with the PC?

It is possible that your deeptesting app does not support Android 11 as you assumed. If you fail to run deeptesting and unlock your phone, your fastboot commands to manipulate the system will not work. That means you cannot skip deeptesting step for unlocking purpose. Another possiblility is Realme changed their mind and canceled unlocking all models of X50 5G. So there is no possible deeptesting app available for X50 5G again.
Anyways if you do intend to unlock your RMX2051, there are a couple methods that may work:
1. Downgrade your Android 11 to Android 10 by flashing tool to flash official firmware of Android 10. Or any possible ways to do this.
2. Try factory reset and install and run deeptesting app again.
3. Search and download deeptesting app for Android 11, if this may exist.
Hope one of this works.

[LineageOS]Install LineageOS 16 on Mediapad M5 Lite

Thanks to XDA Forum, contributors, OpenKirin Team and of course Lineage Team, i managed to install LineageOS on my Mediapad M5 Lite 10.1 BAH2-W19 C431.
I would like to share my newbie experience.
3 steps :
1) Unlock bootloader
For this i follow this thread from sadiqkarur : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...huawei-mediapad-m5-lite-all-editions.3989111/
Which is perfect, and i especially would recommend to follow Drumiec instructions

I would just precise this :
> Step "5: Open Calculator app and type ()()2846579()()" in landscape view
> Step "Hit the Read bootloader code (=> Select on the right side menu: Unlocking > Read bootloader code) and this is what you should get:.." (additional information)
2) Flash/install LOS 16 (OpenKirin LOS 16 Rom)
Thanks to merlinolillo on this thread for link to OpenKirin possibility, and Openkirin team.
>>> Download ROM : LOS 16 Emui Openkirin ("Download" comes with gapps, for no gapps check "View Changelog")
>>> Procedure : LOS 16 Install all steps
3) Feedback and tips
As i have no LTE use , i'm not abble to test it. I find back benefits from Lineages.
Everything seems working well, i'm still testing, except :
> screen display is not clean and clear, like out of focus, blurry, fuzzy. Since i put display in black theme, display became more correct. But not really solve. > solved with display (livedisplay menu) calibration, green set at 99%.
> fast charge
> 5ghz wifi conection
Tips :
> If using headphones with jack connection sound is very low and with some reverb, just put audiofx parameter off, it should resolve.
To solve the screen display problem you have to set the display calibration at 99% at green. To do so go to settings - Display - LiveDisplay and set green at 99%. You're be able to resolve in that way.
Display out of focus > solved
Many thanks merlinolillo
Found 2 bugs, fast charge and 5ghz wifi conection..

Anybody have anything for huawei mediapad m5 lite 8?
Would this os work.
Hello, thanks for this simple tuto, I succeed.
However, netflix doesn't work. When launching a movie: error "There is a problem playing the vidéo. Please try again. (5.0)"
In netflix app settings, I notice that there is No codec instead of on my phone where there is VP9 and AVC-High.
Does Netflix app work on your tablet Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite (BAH2-W19) after the installation of the custom ROM?

Downgrade to the latest HuaweiFirmFinder version using HISuite Proxy (make sure Old firmware is checked), you could find UPDATE.APP in update.zip in Documents\Hisuite\ROM. Extract RAMDISK.img using HuaweiUpdateExtractor for root. Then, root your device with sadiqkarur's guide and trigger system update (Download latest full package). Once it's downloaded do not reboot, you could find the latest update.zip in /data/update/HwOUC.

Thank you so much for this information. I downloaded a FULL OTA backup from a link in this forum and was able to extract the RAMDISK.img file. This RAMDISK.img was from a different version than the stock firmware on my device, but it booted a few ROMs. Problem is, none of audio and so I have gone back to stock 8. Do you think a new RAMDISK that matches my original firmware would alleviate this problem? Have you had success to any specific roms you could recommend?
Thank you again for taking the time to respond, I appreciate it!

Doogee N20pro TEE/Google key not write

Hello everybody,
Iam not sure if this is correct thread. (hopefuly moderators will move me it to correct one)
I have been trying to flash GSI (Havoc) rom to my Doogee N20 pro. Unfortunately something went wrong and i found myslelf in boot loop without any possibility to enter any mode with any key combination.
Only thing which helped me was (format and download) rom with SP Flash tool. Unfortunately i have not created backup before so i had to download stock rom for my device.
After flashing stock rom downloaded from internet iam stuck with annoying red message appearing on my screen:

i have managed to write back IMEI via SN Writer however i could not find over entire internet Attestation key/google key/tee key for my Doogee N20 pro:

It supposed to be in downloaded stock rom but all i could find there was this:

2. Is here any doogee N20pro owner which can extract nvram and upload it for me somewhere?

3. if somebody have solution to simply remove TEE/Google key message from Doogee N20pro - that would be sufficient and i would not bother to try 1. and 2. However my bluetooth is not working so probably 1 and 2 would be best.

Pixel experience working on doogee y9plus release (so should work for doogee N20 release (I nlocked oem, disabled dm verity, and flashed magisk v22 zip before flashing (dont clear cache or dalvik otherwise magisk have issue, if you do you need to reflash with the gapps))
the google apps wasnt flashing for me so, if it fails (error code 64) just skip. my google stuff still worked fine for me . make sure to follow his reboot instructions . If his instructions are followed properly phone will boot in about 3-6 mins
** i was away when my did but i thought it was stuck on the first doogee(still image screen for about +- 20 to 40 seconds if it force reboots several (10+) times there is problem and you should start again )
please upvote if working for you too

I dont bilieve twrp is always specific to a device
if you have stock firmware and are willing to sacrifice your data
try the n20 version i bilieve they(doogee and other manufactures) are usually bummy about copying code then changing little bit and making it a new phone
so try this twrp
unofficial twrp 3.3.0 Root Doogee N20 - unofficial twrp
download twrp 3.3.0 Root Doogee N20, user who own Doogee N20 can root it by follwing the below Instructions
unofficialtwrp.com
try see if this one works
if it does then you have a solution to your problem and never have to woory about losing your data again
bonus if you get to start your own twrp thread for doogee n20 pro
i have tried that already as i told you in my reply and without twrp everything is pain in the ass even things like back ups are incredibly difficult and time consuming (with other tools via pc) ...i did not even managed to get those done corretly so unless there is something official and model specific it is not worthy to try as it will lead only to data loss. i have spent lot of time on this...
Hi! Did you find a solution? I restored IMEI but I still have the TEE/Google key problem.

Question downgrading android poco x3 pro

Guys, i just want to know can i downgrade my poco x3 pro from miui 13 (android 12) to lineage os 18 (android 11) via twrp. Will there any issue in flashing?
No, but you must Wipe all Data Vendor and etc.

Yes, there is only one issue :
Your DRM L1 Keys will be lost if you downgrade from a higher version of android to a lower one ! This is for all android devices !
This is why users should think 1000000 times before jumping to a new version of android ... Sometimes new things are not welcome ! This is my case with android 12 : ugly as sh.t, cartoonish childish & miuish UI with those bubbles everywhere like a supermarioworld game ... may be other users have a different taste.
12 definitely not for me ... i stick this time with 11 : fully customizable & a mature OS !

Since you are going to change a different OS, format data is required, loosing all personal data and apps.
Backup your data and apps manually. Do not rely on custom recoveries backup function, they can fail to restore, especially crossing Android versions. Restore data can fail even in exactly same version OS.
Whether to flash MIUI 12 or not, try and error. Your choice to go safer route or experiment route. Stable daily driver vs. toy phone to play/ experiment.
Safer route: Flash MIUI 12, format data (type yes), reboot to MIUI 12, wait for half or one hour, then flash LOS 18, format data (type yes), reboot.
Experiment route: Flash LOS, format data (type yes), reboot and see if it can be booted. Even if it can be booted, there's still risk of instability in the future.
If experiment route failed to boot, go into recovery and follow as the safer route.
Try and error.

The steps are very simple :
. first, you likely will not be able to use your internal storage in A12 from TWRP, so use an OTG storage or a simple Micro-SD card
. download the latest firmware 12.5.9.0 for "A11" from here or here (the whole MIUI firmware is not needed)
. download the latest LOS 18.1 build for POCO X3 Pro
. +/- download my latest gapps from here
. put everything in your readable storage (up)
. flash on the fly : the firmware, followed with LOS build +/- gapps
. format now the "internal storage" (with type yes)
. reboot
Edit :
. You likely need to fix the persist partition too, if sensors are not working properly after downgrade
. Check first with this app from the Play Store : if your score is at 32, then everything is OK
. if not, flash the persist-blank-image from bellow & my MOD here since it includes also a fix for "persist" partition (rewrite all the needed folders)
As i said before, DRM L1 keys are lost forever if you downgrade (can be restored only if you upgrade to MIUI 13 S again)
