I only used it for a about an hour (while flashing a zillion ROMs to see what they look and feel like). It was as good as any other (ie, no obvious issue or problem, during the short period that I had it).
However, I must have been very impressed by it, because I made a backup of it (I didn't make a backup of any other, save the stock MIUI).

Dude, the custom ROM is freaking awesome, the best battery life i have seen so far, buttery smooth, and it is the smoothest ROM I have tried for games, I have tried Conquer OS, Arrow OS, Paranoid OS, Evolution X, Havoc, Android 12 beta 4 and 3, Corvus and PixelPlusUI, but AOSPK is the best of all.
Thanks for this great ROM mate.

Forgive my ignorance. Is it necessary or a good idea to unlock (Mi unlock) the device first? I just got my device this morning. First device not running Android One in my case. Appreciate your help.

Thanks the help. Are wait times always a week? Seems completely arbitrary to me. Guess I'll have to debloat for now and use the phone.

Thanks! Going to start the debloat process now and then wait for the timer to run down.

thanks for this great rom, working flawlessly so far!
i have a question about something that happened during flash. The same red colored messaged showed up on the screen saying something similar to "unable to mount cache" or something like that. Should i reflash the rom or is there no problem?
edit: fixed by wiping cache through twrp
another question tho. is there a way to auto accept pin code when unlocking screen? there's nothing in screen lock options. miui had this and i'm finding this to be very annoying

That's actually a convenience feature of Miui, but since i'm using fingerprint so there's no need for auto log in anyway.
Btw does anyone knows a way to access Android/data? My favourite app to manage files is X-plore and new AOSP roms seems to restricted this app from accessing Android/data. Miui don't have this problem.
I already know many apps that can do that like Root Explorer but i kinda wanna stick with X-plore.
Also i'd love it if you could get rid of the restriction in the first place.

Interesting, will follow this project too since it have vanilla. Is possible to have a list of system apps installed in the vanilla version? It have the two tap to wake up issue too? SD card work or i'm forced to format it to be recognized?
I'm on vanilla ArrowOS atm, need really to install MIUI stock before flash it or i can simply flash over ArrowOS and then format data? Just wondering if is mandatory the MIUI and TWRP installation (since MIUI will overwrite TWRP with stock revovery). Thank you mate for your work.

Check permissions for X-plore. I added "files & media" manually. I'm not sure if this is enough, since I already granted access to data/ folder and X-plore can browse without this permission.

Hello,i am experiencing laggy scrolling in the play store and in chrome, and sometimes in the settings menu and in the ui in general,i ve not tweaked anything besides installing magisk, also tried 2 other roms and did not have this problem, battery life is the best on this one,but the scrolling issue is a big annoying,it feels like its not hardware accelerated, any way i can enable smooth scrolling myself or something like that?

type c otg telling me to format the device
Between it's working on the TWRP and others phone

Another rom hurray! after so many become closed something new. Could you maybe pick up some Lineage rom and keep going 16 is pretty good?
Good to see new rom - only disadvantage for me that it is arm - 32bit :/ . I prefer arm64 roms since I don't have problems with them .
Hey,
long time custom rom user but lurking here. It's great that you bring a new ROM for this phone. Everything works great as far as I can tell. No magisk boot or battery problems.
2 very minor things I would like to see fixed/added: 1) Status bar icons don't fit inside the box. Wi-Fi and Auto-Rotate flood and get out of border. Also I remember a settings button being present there without the need to expand the menu. 2) Add touch fingerprint for lock option.
EDIT: Mobile network seems to not work (no access point names?)
EDIT2: Added them manually and everything is fine
Always great to have a new ROM, thanks!! Unfortunately it's always rebooting into recovery after some few minutes, even without gapps. It even showed the "Shutting Down" system message . Also the ROM didn't find my SIM and I didn't have any mobile network, i would have tried adding access point names if it wasn't for the constant reboots. I have copied logs from recovery, if that is what you wanted I can share with you.
all good until now only difficulty in the optimization in the camera! presents delays. I can not find the option to wake up and sleep the phone with the fingerprint reader

Very good ROM, no problem so far. Just note that the navbar at times is half, you can not see the complete drawing. The icons in the status bar solve them by shrinking the screen, sorry for my English and thanks

Are you using some Magisk module? Because for me that was the issue while using other two roms. The only solution was to avoid flashing any module and the phone worked just fine, no reboots or data corruption.

Lets see how it works - I am a bit tired with all GSIs ...:silly:
--- Rom boots to desktop then do auto shutdown and return to recovery --- interesting never seen that before ?! (with Magisk 19.2 + gapps nano) .
Clean rom flashed again - it lasted longer before reboot to recovery on desktop - so I manage to see that no sim problem is still there :/

Hi guys, we're posting this message today to talk about RevengeOS. We want to talk about the developers of our project.
There are just three developers that hard-worked every day for you, to deliver optimization, exclusive RevengeUI, media controller, etc. We want to make this project more and more exclusive, and we want to improve everything. And lastly, we want their users to be happy while using it. But there is a problem, three developers can't do much. Thanks! I supposed it. I used to use Magisk long time ago but at present, does it fails often when SafetyNet update? When happens, does it take too much time until Magisk fix it? It is crucial for me knowing about this, thanks you a lot. Excuse me the off topic

Enable magisk hide in magisk settings and its fixed. Also do not use magisk to check for safetynet use Safetynet Evaluation on playstore. Magisk's checker is broken it will show not passing no matter what, which is because the checker itself its broken not safetynet.
Hi. I built CherishOS using the same dotOS device tree, but I had mobile data not working issue. Do you have any idea?
Sorry that i have few knowlege...
The question is: How can I extract boot.img?
For now I am struggling installing magisk. I was warned by xda gudiance that the method of magisk in recovery is abandoned, and the method of re-package boot.img is recommended. Is it same with official stock? or should I use recovery.img instead?
Sorry I am not good as English as well, and sincerely thanks for your efforts!

That's a shame. I'm using Nova Launcher. I tried to switch to the native launcher, lock the apps and switch back to nova but it had no effect (makes sense, since it's a launcher thing)
Great ROM!
Though I am currently facing two issues, one is that if I use a different launcher like the provided crdroid launcher the home glitches, and also the sensors like accelerometer GPS compass, etc. aren't working. Is anyone else facing these problems and if so any solutions?

1. The launcher may be incompactable or needs module support like quickswitch.
2. This can be occur to serveral reasons.
-did you flash gapps after first boot?. try deleteing /data/misc_de/*/apexdata/com.android.permission/runtime_permissions.xml
or clean flash rom , dont forget flash gapps before first boot.
2nd cause is this may occur if you are coming from a pie based rom
check your sensors using sensorbox app in play.google.com

I was using MIUI stock before this and while in the stock I had all the sensors available in the sensor box app.
And I did flash gapps, but not after first boot but rather after flashing the crdroid Rom itself.
I will reflash the Rom and will update you shortly!

What are "Contacts", "Files" and "Settings" doing there and how do I get them to their proper places?
Is anyone else facing stability issues? I have had frequent crashes of the system UI forcing a restart.
after upgrading from 8.2 to 8.5, the mobile network signal became very weak
Is Violet still supported?
Thank you so much for continuing supporting this phone with a google-less option!
Thank you
Can someone help me out: I'm trying to wipe my phone after installing this ROM (messed up some things so basically reinstalling).
However if I try to wipe the data in Orange Fox, I get a TON of errors
Here's the last one in an incredibly long list (takes two minutes to scroll through): Error opening: '/data/ssh/OFJF8xpsY7U8SodJ9qcy6B' (Operation not permitted)
There are a ton of files in the sdcard that I can't open or access or do anything with.
I've never encountered this type of problem before, how do I fix it exactly?
Edit: To clarify, I can't wipe the data partition and I don't know why that is.
Is there anyway to disable the auto app suggestion in the dock at the bottom of your screen?
I like having only 4 apps in there and like the gap for the visual break it gives me. But its quite annoying that the last used app is automatically going in there.
Solved: Click on the home screen - settings - misc - last option (I think its called suggestions)

No, it does not use dynamic partition, which I personally don't like to use either.
Why is it hated among devs?
And do you know any rom that support it?

If I recalled correctly, official lineage for grus does use dynamic partition.
New build uploaded. Some bugs fix and translation update, from source (crDroid).
Most importantly, OTA support was introduced. From now on, we can check for updates in settings app and will receive OTA updates when there's a future release.
Thanks for the rom. No issues, all good here and work fine.
A question about installation process. That's the first Rom I flashed since 1,5years on grus.
Is it related to A13, that Roms have to be flashed using adb connection? Just flashing in TWRP as (it was) usual doesn't work anymore on that phone?

I think you can still use TWRP if you want.

Thanks for your answer. I tried first the usual way with latest TWRP and got Error 1. Then I flashed via fastboot another one TWRP version and got the same Error 1. I also read in other threads what installation way they have and it's also adb fastboot. So I thought it's probably some specific A13 stuff.

Screen off UDFPS does work, just remember to enable it in crDroid settings.
I'm trying this ROM right now. The level of customization is awesome. It's nice to put more than 2 buttons on the quick settings menu. Face unlock works like a charm. Fingerprint with screen off works, just need to turn on AOD.
GPS is working. Bluetooth too. Thank you @Rocky7842 for this ROM. I was on MIUI 12.5 rooted. Did a back up of all my apps and data with swift backup and restored on CRdroid and all worked fine. My gcam is MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV2b_MGC

No, you don't need AOD.
Enable long press in gesture settings and enable screen off UDFPS in crDroid settings will do the job.
The entry is kinda duplicate now. Will see how I can improve it when I'm free.

That did the job. Thank you. O could say that earlier it was not working with AOD off, but probably was something on my side.
Now it is working like you mentioned
Update: Been running for more than a week and everything works like it should. No random reboots, no SOD, no slowdowns and no bugs so far. Battery life is better than MIUI because deep sleep works like it should. On MIUI i had a bunch of wakelocks.

I'm having some issue wherein some apps just wouldn't start. They don't crash but it seems they just get force closed/killed immediately. I tried doing a MatLog but I'm not sure if the information is enough. I hope you can help solve the problem. Thank you!
Edit: Forgot to mention I only flashed Firmware, ROM, NikGApps, Magisk, and DFE

probably because your data partition is in f2fs, you need to format it to ext4 or wait for the next release

I'm on ext4. I reflashed everything I'll observe if it happens again. Seems like a problem with gms because after clearing data of Play Services, I can start those apps but it stops working again after some time.
Hi, Great ROM, but I found some issues:
- In Wallpapers and Styles section of settings there are many wallpaper palettes (in groups of 4 per page), but all palettes on one given page, when selected, look exactly the same as the first one (others are broken)
- Face Unlock activates on Screen On, even when set to "on swipe up"
- UDFS custom animations are misaligned
- Sometimes "UDFS when screen off" doesn't work even when it's enabled
- Clock in QS is cut off above size 22 dp
Hello everybody.
First of all congratulations for the work.
I have installed according to the guide ROM, NikGApps and DFE.
I have a problem, When I connect the device to the computer, the drive appears, but I can't access the internal memory.
Any ideas?
Thanks
I've been waiting a long time for the return of Crdroid! Thank you!

I have the same small problems, without a doubt once they fix that this will be my header rom, the amount of customization it has is incredible, also, I would like to have the option for the tiles to vibrate when touching them, after that, nothing more, all excellent, more optimization I suppose
@firebird11, very nice ROM. Great battery life. Using your build for 2 weeks now and didn't face any problems. Bedankt!

Thanks, but I know how to sideload... I'm not asking, but saying that sideloading doesn't work with newer builds. I've tested it with the first build and that worked right away.
Hello everyone, one question, does the rom have any important errors? I'm thinking of installing it but it's a headache to configure everything and copy my files and I wanted to ask those who have the rom installed
It would be nice if they updated the information here so that many of us are better informed than by Telegram
Thanks
