this rom is very good. are we get any update recenty?
it's been over 1.5 months and no updates.... the ROM seems stable and responsive for now but a monthly security update is much needed.

That's a shame. I'm using Nova Launcher. I tried to switch to the native launcher, lock the apps and switch back to nova but it had no effect (makes sense, since it's a launcher thing)
Great ROM!
Though I am currently facing two issues, one is that if I use a different launcher like the provided crdroid launcher the home glitches, and also the sensors like accelerometer GPS compass, etc. aren't working. Is anyone else facing these problems and if so any solutions?

1. The launcher may be incompactable or needs module support like quickswitch.
2. This can be occur to serveral reasons.
-did you flash gapps after first boot?. try deleteing /data/misc_de/*/apexdata/com.android.permission/runtime_permissions.xml
or clean flash rom , dont forget flash gapps before first boot.
2nd cause is this may occur if you are coming from a pie based rom
check your sensors using sensorbox app in play.google.com

I was using MIUI stock before this and while in the stock I had all the sensors available in the sensor box app.
And I did flash gapps, but not after first boot but rather after flashing the crdroid Rom itself.
I will reflash the Rom and will update you shortly!

Fixed Update!
I had to revert back to my stock MIUI with the official fastboot Rom to regain sensor functionality, and after flashing crDroid again, it's working fine, and the launcher issue is gone too.
Hi, great ROM, thanks!
Some minor issue: the apps are not quite sorted; regardless of launcher (even default one), the list is sorted until the last ones:
...
SatStat
Telegram
Waze
Contacts
Files
Settings
What are "Contacts", "Files" and "Settings" doing there and how do I get them to their proper places?
Is anyone else facing stability issues? I have had frequent crashes of the system UI forcing a restart.
after upgrading from 8.2 to 8.5, the mobile network signal became very weak
Is Violet still supported?
Thank you so much for continuing supporting this phone with a google-less option!
Thank you
Can someone help me out: I'm trying to wipe my phone after installing this ROM (messed up some things so basically reinstalling).
However if I try to wipe the data in Orange Fox, I get a TON of errors
Here's the last one in an incredibly long list (takes two minutes to scroll through): Error opening: '/data/ssh/OFJF8xpsY7U8SodJ9qcy6B' (Operation not permitted)
There are a ton of files in the sdcard that I can't open or access or do anything with.
I've never encountered this type of problem before, how do I fix it exactly?
Edit: To clarify, I can't wipe the data partition and I don't know why that is.
Is there anyway to disable the auto app suggestion in the dock at the bottom of your screen?
I like having only 4 apps in there and like the gap for the visual break it gives me. But its quite annoying that the last used app is automatically going in there.
Solved: Click on the home screen - settings - misc - last option (I think its called suggestions)

Another rom hurray! after so many become closed something new. Could you maybe pick up some Lineage rom and keep going 16 is pretty good?
Good to see new rom - only disadvantage for me that it is arm - 32bit :/ . I prefer arm64 roms since I don't have problems with them .
Hey,
long time custom rom user but lurking here. It's great that you bring a new ROM for this phone. Everything works great as far as I can tell. No magisk boot or battery problems.
2 very minor things I would like to see fixed/added: 1) Status bar icons don't fit inside the box. Wi-Fi and Auto-Rotate flood and get out of border. Also I remember a settings button being present there without the need to expand the menu. 2) Add touch fingerprint for lock option.
EDIT: Mobile network seems to not work (no access point names?)
EDIT2: Added them manually and everything is fine
Always great to have a new ROM, thanks!! Unfortunately it's always rebooting into recovery after some few minutes, even without gapps. It even showed the "Shutting Down" system message . Also the ROM didn't find my SIM and I didn't have any mobile network, i would have tried adding access point names if it wasn't for the constant reboots. I have copied logs from recovery, if that is what you wanted I can share with you.
all good until now only difficulty in the optimization in the camera! presents delays. I can not find the option to wake up and sleep the phone with the fingerprint reader

Very good ROM, no problem so far. Just note that the navbar at times is half, you can not see the complete drawing. The icons in the status bar solve them by shrinking the screen, sorry for my English and thanks

Are you using some Magisk module? Because for me that was the issue while using other two roms. The only solution was to avoid flashing any module and the phone worked just fine, no reboots or data corruption.

Lets see how it works - I am a bit tired with all GSIs ...:silly:
--- Rom boots to desktop then do auto shutdown and return to recovery --- interesting never seen that before ?! (with Magisk 19.2 + gapps nano) .
Clean rom flashed again - it lasted longer before reboot to recovery on desktop - so I manage to see that no sim problem is still there :/

Ah, okay, didn't check that. Two things I found to be problematic.
1. Other devices don't connect to hotspot while password is enabled.
2. System ui is laggy while blur is enabled. After disabling blur in developer option, the lag was gone.
Due to the 1st problem I had to revert back to A10 for now.
Thanks so much, devs.
This beta seems to be pretty stable so far for me.
But there are 2 issues to report.
1. Navigation bar visibility setting in crDroid settings will be reset on every boot.
2. Only the latest Magisk beta(21.1) could be installed successfully (IDKW).
Anyway, thanks for your hard work.
Regards:good:
I've tried several variant of GCAM mod but with no luck.
"Processing HDR+" will take forever and so that, image won't be saved.
Is there any clue?
THX
Thank you, legacy07.
7.1 works well for me overall.
- Especially, restoration of the "Sound" tile to QS panel made me so happy!
- OTA works, but should manually flash Magisk again. (Not a big issue.)
- "Enable/Disable Navigation bar" in crDroid setting still won't be saved. (Little bit annoying...)

No app lock ... face unlock doesn't work
Hi there.
Fisrt, thanks for your work!
Do you think to make long-term rom support (some month)? (don'tDon't take it bad, it's just to know )
Wich Gapps must i use ? NickGapps R, right? Edit, it's ok, it work!
Max wifi is 20M, how to increase to the max possible on this phone, around 50M, any solution?
I have installed v7.2 (20210109) cleanly.
Here is my problem:
1. WiFi wpa2 TLS authentication has corrupted the CA certificate. This may be due to a memory leak.
2. Bluetooth headphones (SBC/AptX/LDAC) can be connected, but there is no sound.
3. ZenParts -> Vibration cannot be saved.

Does AAC works..
Today, bluetooth headphones are operational with AAC/LDAC codecs. AptX codec is not operational (No sound and repeated to connected/disconnected.)
The difference of today and 2days ago, I installed magisk 8.0.7 and EdXposed 93.0(93-v0.5.1.4_4669_master(SandHook)), yesterday.

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ THIS
This is a ROM built from source and not a GSI!
Fix Camera stretch & force close for some camera apps
You can do it editing /vendor/build.prop file using MiXplorer (you’ll need ROOT).
Search for the line “vendor.camera.hal1.packagelist”
After the = are the name of different apps. Delete one of these and put the package name of the app that you want to fix. For example, com.facebook.orca is the Facebook package name.
Per default, the ROM comes with Whatsapp, ZOOM, Snapchat and Instagram added. Maximum 4 Apps are allowed in this line and must be separated by comma ",".
If you don’t understand, open this link to see visual steps.
Fix Camera stuck
Sometimes, the camera can get inaccessible if an app was failed. If it happen, follow this:
Install this app. Open it and tap "Kill camera", then give it ROOT permissions. Done! Camera is working again.
Take in mind that if the camera is broken and you didn't do this, the audio in calls maybe not work.
GCam
This ROM can run GCam. Download a modded version for Exynos HERE. Thanks to Leonardo Estacio for his mod.
Games: this ROM works so good for gaming and can run ARM64 apps/games. If you feel lags, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Saver and performance > Performance Profile and set it to High Performance.
For close, i want to give a huge thanks to @Astrako - Without him this ROM haven't be possible <3

Try using orangefox recovery. Also, if you are flashing from stock, wipe internal storage as well.

I'm having some issue wherein some apps just wouldn't start. They don't crash but it seems they just get force closed/killed immediately. I tried doing a MatLog but I'm not sure if the information is enough. I hope you can help solve the problem. Thank you!
Edit: Forgot to mention I only flashed Firmware, ROM, NikGApps, Magisk, and DFE

probably because your data partition is in f2fs, you need to format it to ext4 or wait for the next release

I'm on ext4. I reflashed everything I'll observe if it happens again. Seems like a problem with gms because after clearing data of Play Services, I can start those apps but it stops working again after some time.
Hi, Great ROM, but I found some issues:
- In Wallpapers and Styles section of settings there are many wallpaper palettes (in groups of 4 per page), but all palettes on one given page, when selected, look exactly the same as the first one (others are broken)
- Face Unlock activates on Screen On, even when set to "on swipe up"
- UDFS custom animations are misaligned
- Sometimes "UDFS when screen off" doesn't work even when it's enabled
- Clock in QS is cut off above size 22 dp
Hello everybody.
First of all congratulations for the work.
I have installed according to the guide ROM, NikGApps and DFE.
I have a problem, When I connect the device to the computer, the drive appears, but I can't access the internal memory.
Any ideas?
Thanks
I've been waiting a long time for the return of Crdroid! Thank you!

I have the same small problems, without a doubt once they fix that this will be my header rom, the amount of customization it has is incredible, also, I would like to have the option for the tiles to vibrate when touching them, after that, nothing more, all excellent, more optimization I suppose
@firebird11, very nice ROM. Great battery life. Using your build for 2 weeks now and didn't face any problems. Bedankt!

Thanks, but I know how to sideload... I'm not asking, but saying that sideloading doesn't work with newer builds. I've tested it with the first build and that worked right away.
Hello everyone, one question, does the rom have any important errors? I'm thinking of installing it but it's a headache to configure everything and copy my files and I wanted to ask those who have the rom installed
It would be nice if they updated the information here so that many of us are better informed than by Telegram
Thanks

Please make sure your device is on latest official April firmware. ( Bootloader, radio etc... ) And then make sure your using the 5/2 GAPPS build.
Also has been confirmed that majority of custom kernels don't work and if you do find one that boots it , theirs still a possibility it'll give issues.
This is the best custom ROM I've tried so far, great performance, battery life, and plenty of customisations, congratulations dev!! Thanks.
My only problem is Android auto is not working and Bluetooth sometimes fails.
Is anyone having the same problem?
Currently only Core with Core GAPPS

What about integrating the Data Restore Tool app to restore apps and data from google account?
I tried to fastboot update from April firmware without wiping data => it bootloops.
I made factory reset. SetupWizard crashes when touching button on restore page (probably because no Data Restore Tool found).
I can install Data Restore Tool from Google Play. How to run SetupWizard again?
System partition doesn't have enough space to place the Data Restore Tool in it manually and wipe data again. Running using Activity Launcher allows me even to select apps to restore, but nothing happens then, aclivity closes.
I'd like to try this soon. Would be first time for me, but will read myself through before i begin anyway.
Just a question: is it possible to disable the google search bar on home screen in rising launcher? I currently use the "nova launcher" for this feature. But apart from that, in free version it is not as cool as i was hoping for.

Yes, you can disable the search bar.
After you try it, please let me know if you have problems running Android auto, thanks.

For 5/02 build and lower it's required too have at least April's firmware. And I'm unsure why you're bootlooping as each build is tested by me. But each build I use the flag
fastboot -w update
Click to collapse
Because i do clean flashes for each build. To ensure that when Im booting it that it is a clean install.. it's mentioned that you can remove the -w flag but if issues arise that I can't help unless I'm able to replicate the issue or a log cat and or kernel log.
RisingOS v1.1 Babylon has been released with Mays security patches. Enjoy.
thank you so much for this genius rom for bluejay - have it on my pixel now + it looks fn great!
tip: better extract with 7zip in windows, cause windows explorer doesn't recognize the way to extract these zips... . always extracts to another zip ( 10 times) . in windows 11 insider preview build.

Hi, how is the battery life of the Rom compared to the stock os? improved or the same, and does it have VoLTE enabled?

Asking about battery compared to stock is all user dependent , and have gotten no feedback from telegram group about a battery drain so it should be fine and yes we have Vo5g so I'd imagine we support VoLTE

Where can I find this launcher? Can it be installed on stock pixel ROM if rooted?
I'm on the May update on stock. Can I still flash this ROM or do I have to down grade to April?

Thanks a lot to bring this beautiful ROM to Bluejay.
Can you help to look into the shortcut icons as QR Code scanner shows disabled to select in shortcuts even after installing google camera and so is the device controls.
