[Q] Turning Android System and Play Services WakeLock Off?

Hello. I was fed up with the fact that google play services would drain my battery alot and keep my phone awake most of the time. I used Privacy Guard (Or Apps Ops X), to disable WakeLock on every apps. I also disabled WakeLock on Android System and Google Play Services. Is there any risks in doing this ? What features will I loose ?
Thanks for helping ! Cheers.

Very low brightness

When i pickup phone from my pocket, place finger, unlock screen -> is brighness VERY low. Its auto-fixed with sensor in 1-2 seconds. But when receiving call its dark for longer time and i hardly see photo/name of contact. Brightness setting is to Auto. Any help for app or shloud i do it manully day / night...? Thank You.
What version of the phone are you currently using ? Android 6 or 7 ?
On Android 7 update, they really got the auto brightness better. So, in the meantime, do it manually

just turn the brightness up on the slider till it is bright as you want?....
i agree the brightness it too low even in nougat but just adjsut it manually
If you have US model, the auto-brightness is fixed in the latest update (B162)
ok, will do it manually and wait for 7.0.. thx people
This is to be expected as the Honor 8 does use a IPS display, which doesn't have the same brightness level as an AMOLED display.
Has anyone tried CF Lumen to fix the dull picture?

Help - I need a timing app which is not a battery drainer !

Hello,
after a bad experience with the Samsung app draining all my battery in one afternoon being just reset but not closed.
I have tried "Gear Stopwatch" and "Timing"....
But they are also draining batteries and if put in the back are resetting ...
I need an application which can time hours: a stopwatch and a timer without to drain the battery or to be resetting...
A $ 50.00 Timex can do it.
Why the GearS3 cannot be used to measure time flight for example ?
Any idea ?
Thank you.
Best regards
Nemo
Yes annoying and not usable
Just one app "Timers Gear" (and still count when Gear is Power off ) but only for Gear 1&2&S (and pebble) but no port for S2/S3

Merci Dersie ! Y'a plus qu'à espérer un upgrade alors. (Je suis né en Haute-Marne...)
Also I have found a Cooking Timer made in Poland who seems to be OK. It's Cooking Timer by SRPOL R&D Institute Poland.
You can trigger 10 timers: 2 stoves of 4 and 2 ovens. And it keeps running when left.
It's not the first time that flight tech borrows from cooking tech.
Many Stopwatches stops and reset when left... The search continues.

Dynamic/Adaptive Refresh Rate Issue for Rhythm games (Massive Stuttering)

Due to the refresh rate feature that intentionally lowers the refresh rate whenever there is no contact with the screen, many of the rhythm games i play have been experiencing extreme lag and stuttering. I bought this phone in hopes of having a smooth gaming experience on rhythm games but unfortunately the performance was even worst.
For comparison, my phone before is a Huawei Nova 2 lite which played rhythm games more smoothly than the poco x3
That was a phone with 3gb ram and SD 430 compared to the poco x3 with 6gb ram and SD 732G.
I now ask if anyone knows a fix for this, or knows a way to do one of the following:
-Disable the Dynamic/Adaptive Refresh Rate
-Lock the phone on a specific refresh rate
And one more thing, does anyone know if flashing a custom ROM will be able to remove the Dynamic/Adaptive Refresh Rate?

Unfortunately its still affected by the dynamic refresh it goes to 30Hz whenever im not touching the screen
Thus making rhythm games still stutter and lag

So this explains why call of duty mobile also has frame drops. Damn
On my set the refresh rate drop to 30hz only on home screen... If using other apps it's locked at 60hz..

Did you find any solution? I have the same problem, with which custom rom can it be solved? I can't play call of duty
I also encountered this problem in Fate/Grand Order game, which also reported by some others.
Actually I'm not sure if its because of the dynamic refresh rate, but I'm sure the extreme stuttering triggers when there are some certain sound playing, or many sound effects playing at once. In FGO's case, it triggers on a certain enemy attack sound effects, or when the boss monster is killed and drops so many item, with each drops having chiming sound effects. Then the sound starts stuttering and affecting the graphics animation.
When the stuttering happens, sound from another application like playing song from Mi Music still plays fine, but the game and it sounds still stutter.
Previous phone Redmi Note 5 never encountered this problem. Sent feedback to xiaomi, hope it will be fixed soon.
I'm also facing fps drop in FIFA Mobile game. But that only happened when i didn't touch the screen, like i did autoplay the game. Tried either 60 or 120 Hz still resulted in fps drop. Idk what the problem is
im facing fps drop at Deresute ([email protected] Cindrerella Girls Starlight Stage) in lobby or other menu when i touch my screen it has 120hz... but when im not touching for 5 second it drops to 30hz 15 FPS lol... and im already all Setting at game and yeah the problem still same... and when im post my problem at Poco Group at facebook i realized lot of game has a frame drop issue... as i know Bandori has a same problem
playing rhytm game with this issue is so uncomfortable... The music doesnt sync with the visual... the music seems normal with visual delay up to 5 second...
i cannot play rhytm game for now with this issue XD
i hope they can fix this Issue faster
bacause im already miss lot of events in game XD
I was tormented by this problem for a whole month in my favorite game: C&C Rivals. Today I accidentally found a way to get rid of the terrible problem associated with adaptive display adjustment, and the main thing is simple. You need to go to settings - > power and performance -> activity monitoring. Then find the game there and choose unlimited mode. Done.

Hecho.

I can confirm now that activating [enhanced audio] option in Game Turbo on MIUI 12.5 will fix this issue. The bug's still there though, if I turned off game turbo.
Previously I had to use AOSP ROM to be able to play without issues.
I just hate it that it took so damn long (7+ months) for an issue to be fixed, or for a fix to arrive in a stable rom, where stable also doesn't even means free of bugs.

Where did you find the "enhanced audio" option? Can you please take a screenshot and show me?
I dont see it on my Mi 11 with MIUI 12.5.9 Stable China ROM

Question About Optimized charge functionality

Hello everyone, i have a Moto G100 8GB Ram - 128GB ROM.
I´m really pleased with the phone, but i´ve noticed something strange in the Optimized Charge function.
When i use it, the phone stays 80% at the beginning, but then hits 81-82% and this makes the Screen to wake up and show that charger has been plugged-in. It also vibrates and makes the sound notification of the charger plugged-in.
It tops at 82% and goes back to 81% after the notification.
If i have it plugged-in overnight with this function, it does this behaviour around 5-6 times.
If i don´t use the optimized charge nothing of this happens, because it charges till 100% without any notification.
So, based in the normal behaviour it has using the "normal" charge i think that there is no problem with the phone (No damaged charge pin, no cable issues, etc)
I wanted to know if anyone has observed this behaviour with the phone when using Optimized Charge and if you think that this could damage the battery or the phone itself.
Thanks!
P.D: Excuse me for my bad english, it´s not my native language.
Same here.
When this happened, It was charging when I was slepping. I woke up with the notifications popping in and I just gave up and removed the charger.
Now I only charge during daytime.
Dunno If this is a bug ir something else...
Same here. Since I set it to make a sound when charging, I know it stops charging and restarts very often

ENGLISH:
Hi, it is not a bug. The "Optimized Charge" function is designed to top at 80% and charge up to 100% when you're near to wake up, based on your charge/use patterns. It learns from your daily routine to know how and when. However, I strongly suggest you set the "Do Not Disturb" function through the "Sleep Time" menu (Clock menu). This prevents the phone to bother showing notifications and playing any sounds during sleep/charge period. That's how I've been using it so far and had no issues. Cheers!
SPANISH:
Saludos!
